A great location, far enough away from the busy areas but only a 15 min walk to the pier and busier areas. There is no alcohol served at the hotel not even the on site mini mart so a short walk to get that if needed. The pool is delightful as is the beach and literally a few steps from the quaint villas. The villas themselves are nice, clean and beds are comfy, the servicing of rooms is done as and when, mostly around 5pm or was during our stay. Staff are helpful and friendly and the grounds are very well maintained. Our stay has been so nice we are now extending it another few days, will have to move to another villa but we wanted ro stay longer. We would happily come back again. The view point....unless you are super fit do not attempt it!!!

Really beautiful hotel with nice clean villas. The location is just a little outside the busy areas, which we found great. Walking distance to the city centre and also to Long Beach. The pool is great. It’s a quiet hotel, so don’t expect the kids to be able to play all too widely in the pool.

This place is amazing! I loved that it is a short walk away from the busy stalls, restaurants etc. That way the resort is peaceful but it’s easy to explore shops and food etc. It’s right in front of a gorgeous beach with lounge chairs and swings. The pool is great too. I loved all the levels: super shallow for suntanning in cool water, deep for actual swimming. The breakfast was good. Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. About the area: if you like snorkelling, take the walk to Long Beach (or boat taxi there for 100baht). It was fun! It’s about a 25min walk from the resort. Also, there are lots of taxi boats for hire to take you out to snorkel or see other islands. Very reasonable prices. It’s also a great location to dive (more to see than Koh Tao in my opinion).

Very nice hotel on Phi Phi. Nice individual bungalow style rooms with a balcony. In a quiet area at the end of tonsai beach, but only a few minutes walk to the bars and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again when we next come to Phi Phi.

A great location where you are outside the party, but still in close proximity to all the tourist activities, restaurants and shows. The hotel has a nice pool area and a beautiful sand beach is just 25 meters from the pool. Recommended hotel when you want to enjoy all the activities on Phi Phi, but not be affected by the partying.

We had a great stay at Phi Phi Village Resort (booked through Agoda). Stayed in Cabin 102, which had a perfect view onto the hotel’s private beach, which they cleaned every day. And the view beyond that was to the cliffs on the other side of the bay - gorgeous. And a really nice open hut / restaurant area with very good WiFi, that we used to work from (good for Digital Nomads). Pool was pretty nice, staff were friendly and helpful, and the cabin itself was a little dated but otherwise fine. Beds were very comfortable, slept very well - it was quiet at night. Hotel location is nearly at the end of the paved pathway to the main pier (10-15 minute walk), which means foot traffic was limited. Their guy wheeled our luggage to and from the pier. Breakfast buffet was good. Happy to recommend, and would be happy to return.

Escape the Crowds at Phi Phi Island Resort: A Family-Friendly Haven on the Beach. Phi Phi Island Resort is a hidden gem nestled away from the busy tourist area of the island. The location is perfect for families, as it's just a 10-15 minute walk away from the party scene, but still close to some nice, quiet bars and restaurants. The resort staff were incredibly welcoming, and the concierge even met us at the port to transport our luggage and made sure we felt like guests throughout our stay. The bungalows are basic but clean and well-maintained, and the pool area is lovely with plenty of loungers. The resort is also just steps away from the beach, which offers great swimming and snorkelling, as well as easy access to boat trips to nearby beaches like Maya and Monkey. The food on site is basic, but the resort is close to a shop where you can get beer to enjoy by the pool. Overall, Phi Phi Island Resort is a great choice for families or couples looking for a more peaceful and relaxed vacation. Warning: there are quite a few cats around the hotel. First hand experience, they are wild and you will require a rabies vaccination if they scratch you. Keep your kids away from the cats.

Fantastic hotel with free pick up from the port which was a nice surprise. The staff were all very friendly and helpful at all times. You will need 1000 bhat cash ready to leave as a deposit as they don’t take cards for that. We also arranged laundry which was very cheap and ready the next day. As we were newly engaged we got an upgrade for free to a Beach front bungalow (101). This was beautiful although the lock on the door was very hard and it took us about 10 minutes each time to lock. The bathroom was old fashioned compared to our friends bungalow but still clean and well located. The pool is a good size with lots of loungers, the beach is also lovely in front of the resort. Breakfast was a good choice and nicely located overlooking the beach. The only downside for us was the amount of cats everywhere. They tried to get in our bungalow and would come onto the sun loungers.

Can’t wait to go back! We stayed at Phi Phi Villa Resort for 7 nights and it was absolutely perfect for our first time visiting the island. When we arrived we were greeted by a friendly staff member at the pier who put our bags on a trolley which was brought to our room after check in. They also do this when you leave which was so helpful! The resort is located in a perfect spot which is an easy 10 minute stroll from the pier and the main area, making it very peaceful and quiet. The resort has a nice swimming pool and is right on the beach which we absolutely loved. They also have a 24 hour mini mart which is really convenient. We stayed in a luxury deluxe villa which was huge! The facilities all worked fine and we slept really well here. Some things I read in the reviews before our stay: Mosquitoes & cats- they’re everywhere on the island so if you’re concerned, Phi Phi might not be the place for you. We bought a plug in device for our room for the mosquitoes which helped a lot, and wore repellent at all times. Deposit- you need to pay a 1000THB deposit. We did expect this from reading the reviews and we got it back at the end of our stay with no issue. Beds- they’re firm, but this is pretty common in most of Asia. Breakfast- you will need to remove your shoes to access the upstairs breakfast area, but again, not a big deal for us and the floors were super clean. There’s a wide variety with eggs including an omelette station where they’ll make your choice (so cool!), toast, noodles, pastries, fried rice etc. it’s the same sort of breakfast you can expect at any hotel in Thailand. Overall, we absolutely loved staying here and didn’t want to leave! The room was great for the price, in a perfect location and the staff were so friendly. We’re already planning our trip for next year!

Very lovely hotel, nicest spot on the beach nearby with desk chairs on the beach and two swings. Kids friendly. Good breakfast. Big rooms. Quiet in the evening, but option to walk to Phi Phi-village at night for any nightlife.

Nice location. Bad management. It is a 3star hotel and management is dedicated not to offer more. It is a pity in such location in a tropical island that the hotel is run so average. 10 sun lounger at the seaside for whole hotel? really? bad quality matress, worn sheets, average cleanliness, under average breakfast, bar serving only some juices. Several other things can be written to complain. I have never seen a hotel listing of penalty and fines if you damage/lose something. Feels like you will be chased for.

Amazing perfect heaven on Phi Phi. Far away from the party beaches and partygoers. Excellent and lovely rooms, nice staff, decent breakfast. Pool is clean, the beach is quiet and feels very private. Was here in early December so experience may vary. Restaurant is close so you don't need to leave this place. Way nicer on this side of the island.

Phi Phi Villa Resort is close enough to the centre but also far enough that’s it’s quiet and calm. The views from the beach are amazing and the pool is very nice as well. They have an awesome breakfast buffet that goes until 10am. Booking online is cheaper than booking at the resort (we sat in reception and booked online instead of paying cash at the front desk). Highly recommend this place!

We booked a 1-day hotel stay as our cruise ended at 7pm and it was too late to catch a ferry out. This is a very small island where you are met with tourism guys right when you get there. The hotel is about a 15min walk down the main road. The path is filled with restaurants and massage spas until about halfway. We got there at dark and there is no lighting towards the other half of the walk. It was secluded so for a group of girls, a little scary. The staff wasn’t very friendly. They have charges listed in their guest book for every little thing. Will cost you 250 bahts for taking their laundry bag. 500 bahts if the towels have color on them etc etc etc. The rooms are not well-ventilated. We turned on the AC and it only cools the bed area right under it. The rest of the room is very hot. The pool closed early so we weren’t able to enjoy that. Recommend staying at a hotel closer to the pier if you have a late cruise or activity.

My family came from Los Angeles and worried about the place, turned out, we are all so impressive with Beautiful resort with the mixed of modern luxury and conservative looking nature style, peaceful quiet, no noisy of crazy people dancing around. Big clean swimming pool, good for my family fun time. Beautiful clean sand beach with very responsible staff to clean the beach every day. Good food, free breakfast serving, we can buy lunch and dinner with nice views of ocean side. Nice beautiful ocean view. Good customer service. Close to hiking area to the top of mountain to see the whole island. Ocean is clear, we can see many fish and coral reefs, my children are all excited and very happy to be able to get so close with the nature. This is one of my favorite family good experiences. I really love, enjoy and recommend.

The resort is actually quite big, right on the beach and has a range of accommodation options. Our villa was comfortable with clever design for toilet and shower spaces. Air-conditioning was incredibly noisy for a newish wall type unit but worked well. Thai food in the restaurant was excellent, reasonably priced with generous serve sizes. Western food was less appealing.

Spent one night at Phi Phi Villa Resort February 2022. It is a well maintained property with grass areas and a nice pool. Only 10 metres from a quiet, sandy beach. The reception and upstairs dining area look pretty new. There was a good choice and plenty to eat at breakfast. Rooms felt a little dated with smaller, quite hard beds. However everything was in good condition with a good sized bathroom and powerful, quiet air conditioning. Property is about 800 metres from the ferry pier so takes about 10 minutes to walk. Generally at this date (February 22) on Phi Phi about 30 percent of the businesses are open and I would estimate occupancy is only 10% of what it was at peak 3 years ago. So a nice, quiet, relaxed atmosphere with no evidence of loud, hedonistic parties at present.

Nice hotel in quiet part of the island about 15 minutes by foot from harbor. The pool is big, warm and clean. The rooms are good, little problem is stinky drainage when you shower. The breakfast was OK, but nothing extra. The hotel is right on the beach, where you can swim.

Good location, reasonably far from the party area. Nice accommodation and satisfying breakfast. The pool's amazing, although could stay open longer than 7PM. The surrounding services (shops, restaurants, other resorts) seemed higher quality than in the central part of the island.

A very good option to stay in Phi Phi, is a bit far from the center but you can walk easily to anywhere. Nice rooms, big pool and a breakfast with many options. Beach is right in front and a the service was great, they helped us to book a long boat at a very good price.

A nice hotel at Phi Phi. Had a bungalow room and it was good. It’s an old hotel, but nothing to complain about. The beds are on the hard side. The cleanness of the room is okay, as other reviews said it was not clean, our was clean. The included breakfast is okay, nothing fancy but eatable. The resort has a private pool and is close by the beach. The hotel is somewhat far from the marina, and you have to walk for 15 minutes. It’s quiet here, which is nice.

Quality, remote getaway but still a walking distance to the center Quiet, remote area away from the crowds. Bungalows are spacious and comfortable. AC was strong enough for summer, too. Breakfast variety was really good and in a beautiful spot with the sea view. Great quality stay, perfect for a few days. It's nice to be a bit further away from the crowds, but the road from downtown at night is not well lit, so walking alone might feel a bit sketchy.

We booked a luxury deluxe villa with double bed a full 6 months ahead of our stay and received confirmation from the booking site. Upon check-in at the hotel however, we were informed that our villa contained twin beds. While providing evidence that this was not what we had booked, we were informed by the front desk staff that each rooms bed allocation 'was at the hotel's discretion'. As this was completely unacceptable, this resulted in us having to cancel our accommodation and seek alternate accommodation elsewhere. I would not recommend this hotel as the level of service they provide is unreliable.

This is our second time at resort. Great location. Overall good value. Breakfast is very basic. Rooms need a bit of an update. Resort has great potential if they wanted to make this a 4 star or better.

We had a good stay at Phi Phi Villa Resort. With its prime location nearby the center, as well as being sheltered in a more relaxed area, we felt this was the perfect place to stay on Phi Phi. The airconditioning was working good and the bed was fine as well. The room was fairly spacious, so we could easily sort our luggage. Don’t expect high-end luxury: the furniture is fairly old, and the bath room is very basic. We did not mind this, as it had all the necessities we needed, but this is something to take into account if you think this is important.

Very nice and quiet hotel not so far from tje city center. The beach in front of the hotel is very beautiful (and not crowded) with sun chairs from the hotel. The hotel is situated at the end of Ton Sai beach, so its a quiet and cleaner spot ( onclusing the water because there are almost no boats anchoring there) and at the same time still very easy to get to the city. Negative points: a) air conditioning is very loud and old even in a superior rooms, very noisy during the night. b) around 15min walking to the city center, so its quiet boring when you have to do the same track several times per day/week PS: no taxis or cars in the island

  • 2/5 Mantas D. 1 year ago on Google
There was no hot water in the room and front desk closes at 9pm, so no one to ask to for. Room looks old with old AC which works but too strong at night and you can’t control it. Breakfast is so so, but not much for vegan breakfast, don’t even have dairy free milk and impossible to find out the food ingredients. Reception is not super friendly and has all kind of penalties for every little thing. Overall, it’s possible to stay, but looks overpriced for what you actually get.

We had a COCKROACH in our villa cottage 4cm/1,5inch long!! We went to the front desk. They told us it is NORMAL they have cockroaches and that no refund or any compensation at all was possible. If they would have compensated us it would have been fine. This is unacceptable!

Best place for me on tge Island, beautiful pool side view, kind staff and not too far to thebtown by walk. Tge resort restaurant also very nice , food is very delicious and fair price. Better than many seafood restaurant in the town. The room isnnot facy but very comfortable, spacious soft bed with small terrace. I been there twice and wanting to be back again.

Location is on Tonsai beach, 15 mins from the pier. The staff is very responsive to messages. The villa rooms were large and spacious. Bathrooms were very clean and comfortable. Overall recommended!!

A decent no frills place. The room is of good size. The pool is good. Breakfast is ok. The views of the beach is amazing. The restaurant on the sea side is perfect for a romantic dinner if the weather is good. Now for the not so great things. The water i. The restroom was brown in colour for the first few mins of openinf the tap every single day. The breakfast menu had the same exact things the 2 days we were there. Most of the dishes were tasteless. Everyone has to take the footwear off to have breakfast, not sure why. Almost all the staff at the resort seem unhappy, maybe just something I felt.

Rooms are clean The location is superb. Directly on the beach with a beautiful view. Just don't expect a good breakfast Omelettes were not fully cooked. The buffet was not renewed and the juices ( like all other hotels) are not fresh

Good villa rooms.. private beach and towards the silent area of phi phi. Water is salty, but its true everywhere in phi phi i think. Beautiful restaurant infront. Breakfast is very poor - options and taste wise as well. Pool is small but good one.

We stayed in one of the hotel rooms. The room had visible mold in the ceiling, there was no ventilation in the room so it was very moist. It smelled quite bad. We got two single beds but that was not what we booked. When we moved the beds so that they could stand next to eachother, we found dead bed bugs beneath it (they had not cleaned under the beds for a long time). Overall, this was not a pleasant stay. The staff was okay, but they did not seem to care about our experience. The pool was nice, but people left their stuff by the few chairs available, so it was very difficult to get a place to lay by the pool. The staff carrying our bags to and from the hotel were really nice!

Location for me was perfect. Right outside practically is one of the top 10 beaches in Thailand. For some, the longish some 800 meter walk down to the shops, pier and restaurants may be too far. It is VERY quiet due to that and these Covid times. The breakfast was ok. Shower was Thai style with non adjustable shower head sprayer.

Beautiful beach front resort, well maintained villas. 15 min walk from the Tonsai pier, away from the crowded places Restaurant serves good food. Closes pretty soon in the night, they do not serve alcohol but you can get it from nearby mini mart which is a 2 min walk
