Absolutely fantastic hostel. Jason was so knowledgeable about the island and booking things like the boat tour though him was so easy, and he just added it to our bill. The dorms are great for meeting people, especially as a solo traveller as its very communal. Thanks again Jason

Jason (the owner) is the nicest person ever. He will help you book trips and can recommend restaurants etc. The room is spacious and comfy. I didn’t have any problems and would recommend this hostel to everyone, especially those who don’t want to party 24/7 :) Thank you Jason I will be back !

Stayed on the island at Stones hostel for 4 of the 5 nights. Came here on the last night. Wish we came here earlier. The island is a party however this hostel is quiet (good thing) though still many social souls here to go out partying with. Owner is extremely knowledgeable of the area, helpful and most of all chilled. Pods style sleeping is awesome for privacy, muffling out snorers and the curtains keep it dark. Free towel, drinking water and coffee 👌

Even though there are 18 people in a dorm, you have privacy and space to put your belongings, and it does not feel too crowded. Also, enough showers and toilets available! Most importantly, the owner is incredibly friendly and helpful. He organised a cool boat trip and helped me buy new glasses when I lost mine. Excellent stay!

The pros: excellent location, quiet place to get a good night’s sleep, staff helped me change beds after the first one was VERY uncomfortable (springs in my side all night long) The cons: one of the dirtiest hostels I’ve ever experienced, riddled with personal belongings that look like they’ve been there forever. The toilet/shower combo stalls are cramped & not the easiest to use. Hostel is still under construction. “24hr water/tea/coffee” was not a thing while I was there. I booked the 18 bed dorm and was put in a 26 bed dorm (two of which were doubles, for a total of 28 people in this “18 bed” dorm). Not cool. A tip for the owners… have your staff clean up the variety of lost and forgotten personal care items strewn about in the bathroom! I couldn’t wait to leave this place and would not recommend it.

We had a great stay and really enjoyed our time! Jason (the host) was super helpful and would recommend to anyone, solo or small groups!

Nice little cabins, rooms are being constantly cleaned. Pricing is also quite good. It is easy to meet people in the evening at its chillout/bar area.

Excellent stay at Dormsin Hostel!! Jason the owner is so kind, helpful and fun! I'd definitely stay here again and I 100% recommend if you like partying and meeting fellow travelers but also want your own quiet time now and then 😉

Great hostel with absolutely nothing to complain about. The location is perfect, nice sized capsule beds. Plus hate to say it but Jason is a legend and makes everyone feel welcome

Perfect hostel. Jason is a great host. Sorted out all our excursions, whipped up a great full English breakfast, also excellent advice for the rest of our travels. We were in a group of ten and we all loved it. Social room is brilliant. We had a rainy night and Jason put a film on for us, which was filmed in the area.

A very nice place but right now they are doing construction work in the building just next door so they where drilling in the walls all day long. Ofc it's not the hostels fault but was quite annoying... Otherwise super nice, very friendly and easy to get to know people.

i came here with my brother and i have have stayed in many hotels in the rage in the 4-5 stars a lot of the time. but even tho they are nice. i would stay here any day of the week over them i have never been so far from home but yet felt like i am at home . Jason is a grate guy . he would bend over backwards to help anyone . his knowledge of the islands and connections is grate and just a all round grate guy .10/10 defiantly will be going back

Great stay at Dormsin, Jason was super helpful with booking boat tours/last minute additional night bookings. Everyone is encouraged to be super sociable, with a free drink in the upstairs bar each evening to mingle. Great for solo travellers and groups.

Great place! Good facilities and the owner is such a nice person who goes far and beyond for you to make your stay nice and easy. He also has lots of recommendations for things to do on the island. Great place! Go book it :)

Would definitely recommend staying here. It's not right in front of the beach but nothing is very far away on Phi Phi. The pod style beds with curtains are nice for getting some sleep and Jason is a great host and can give you plenty of recommendations for the island and where to go next.

Great location. The owner was amazing gave each the guest his phone number in case of any problems or emergency. Sat with us for 10 mins and told us the best places to eat, to see, wash clothes,party, where to get the strongest buckets, where to get trees and how the laws and cops are towards it. Also made sure to remind us to drink alot of water and take in electrolytes which I thought was good. As a guest it made you feel welcomed and showed he cared everyday. I would recommend this place to anyone staying in Phi phi especially if your going the hostel route.

1. Fantastic host - Frank was hilarious and gave us great recommendations on food, bars, things to do etc. We landed our first day and just two hours later he had us on a boat excursion and really helped us see the most in the little time we had. Having a host like Frank makes ALL the difference. 2. Fantastic location - We were a two minute walk from all the main action on the beach but solidly out of earshot from the music so you can sleep peacefully 3. Large clean beds with comfy mattresses and lock boxes for large backpacking bags

Clean and safe. The bed was comfortable, I had a good rest. Cabin type, with a lamp, plug and locker. Thanks to Frank recommendation I took one of the upper bunks since it gives you more ceiling space. Free drinking water to refill your bottle! Saved lots of plastic bottles! Very happy with that! Limited water hours, but didn’t mind since I went every day to the nearby gym and used the showers there. The dorms are very basic. The bathroom needs serious improvement. What makes the place a 10 is Frank! From the moment you arrive he welcomes you, makes you feel at home and gives you all the information you need in Phi Phi! Initially booked 2 nights, stayed 5! Best host ever! Thanks Frank!

The Hostel is in the perfect location, close enough to all the action but far enough away to get some sleep as well. The beds in the dorms are more little cabins than bunk beds which gives you a nice private place. The Hostel is very clean and well kept, which comes down to the two awesome hosts. Jason is the best host I have ever met, he makes you feel very welcomed and is super supportive with all you minor and major problems! Overall probably the best backpacker hostel for that price in koh phi phi!

For someone who is very spontaneous, I couldn’t of asked for more. I booked everything on the day, they were kind enough to take my bag because I was going to miss my day activity. When I came back they were hospitable enough to take my bag and kindly show me to the hostel. I honestly couldn’t recommend a hostel like this… friendly people and great company!
