My husband and I came here on our honeymoon. Prior to us arriving, the hotel reached out to us to ask what time we will arrive so they can prepare for us. I let them know our speedboat was arriving around 9:30 or 10:00 am. However when we arrived at phi phi, there was no one to help us to the hotel with our luggage. We had to drag our suitcases through the sand and mud all the way to the hotel. when we arrived at the hotel, the receptionist told us we couldnā€™t check into our room until 2pm (4 hours later). I showed her the email that was sent to me by the hotel but it didnā€™t change her mind. So we were left to wander for 4 hours with our backpacks. When we came back at 2, they gave us the key to our room and we checked it out. When we got there the room was still dirty, so I had to go back and get another room. At one point we needed more toilet paper, so my husband asked the receptionist for some to which they responded they would ā€œbring it to your room.ā€ An hour later, still no toilet paper. None of them appeared to be busy when he asked, so he just had to use the bathroom in the lobby. Apart from the subpar customer service, the bungalow walls are very thin and you can hear everyone else in their rooms. The people next to us were blasting music and partying late into the night and we couldnā€™t sleep. When I let the front desk know, they did nothing. Otherwise, the hotel is very beautiful and sits right on the beach. We even got to see monkeys as they would come out onto the beach when the tide was low. The pool is gorgeous and the breakfast buffet was good as well. If the customer service hadnā€™t been so bad, I wouldā€™ve given this place 5 stars, but they kind of ruined it for us. I hope this helps some people when considering staying here.

    - TRAVELERS PLEASE NOTE - If your looking for a quiet place to stay DO NOT stay hereā€¦ (party goers this would be perfect) There is a club just up the beach that is open every night and is extremely loud!!! You will not have peace until about 2-3am The bamboo huts have absolutely no sound proofing you can hear everyoneā€™s conversations outside. This is such a shame because it is a lovely location and the staff and venue are fantastic. I really want to score higher but I just canā€™t after the many sleepless nights we spent here. I understand itā€™s not the Resorts fault but the main reason you book a hotel is so you have somewhere to sleep.

The room was pleasant but not very clean. We had to request towels, toilet paper and water every day as the housekeepers did not replace them. The breakfast was very good with a wide variety of foods. For a proper coffee from a coffee machine you have to pay extra, which is quite disappointing. When we left for a trip early morning the reception was kind enough to offer to prepare for us a breakfast box to take with on our trip. The swimming pool is great and nice to chill in throughout the day. We took kayaks from hotel to the near monkey beach which was very nice. Pretty noisy at nights from the beach parties around, yet they supplied the room with earplugs for better sleep.

BE WARNED.. itā€™s loud up until 2:30am because of the loud clubs which is out of the hotels control but the rooms are thin as paper and you can hear everything. Sounded like the club was in the room. Besides that one major downside of this resort, the room was clean and free of bugs. They have staff that helps you with luggage at the pier and will help you get your bags back to the pier after check out. The pool was nice but the beach turns to rocks around 4 or 5pm because of low tide. I wouldnā€™t stay here longer than a day because of the loud nightclub nearby, and would recommended to stay maybe on the northern part of the island away from the main town. If you are here to party and club then this is a good spot for you. But for others trying to relax and enjoy the views this is not the place. I wouldnā€™t rate this a 4 or 5 star hotel, Iā€™d be more so to rate it as a 3 star.

Noisy hotelā€¦ feel like we were sleeping inside a night club .. good for youths or individuals who likes partying till 3am in the morning as the sound wonā€™t let you sleep. Too many rules regarding changing pool towel (only one towel is provided for whole day) etc. The major issue is staff lack of English. The hotel location is great and clean.

Stunning new property on Phi Phi islands. Tropical feels, attentive staff that are always smiling and helpful. Lucky to have met the owner while on our 3 night stay and would definitely recommend this property. The food in the restaurant was great, the bar and games offered in the pool enabled couples, and families to pass time together. The beach movie nights were also a great way to relax outdoors. Highly recommend for couples.

Phi Phi CoCo Beach Resort is not worth the 4-star price it charges. Firstly, the noise levels were very high and disrupted our sleep, which is definitely not what you want when you're on vacation. also you hear every sound from your neighbors as well. The staff's cleaning service was also unsatisfactory, they only made the bed and didn't do a proper cleaning. This is definitely not what you expect from a hotel that charges a 4-star price. On a positive note, I did appreciate the high-spec finish of the rooms, which had a nice blend of rustic and modern features. However, the location was quite far from the center, which have been an inconvenient. The reception staff were rude and unhelpful during. They didn't honor our booking and provided a room on the third row instead of the second row, despite our communication with them beforehand. Additionally, they were unprofessional and dismissive when we pointed out that we hadn't received water, and they also changed our check-out time without informing us beforehand. This kind of service is unacceptable, especially for a hotel that charges a high price.

As many others also wrote already: Crazy loud music until 2am, you canā€™t sleep. Every noise from neighbors you can hear through the Bambus houses. The staff, especially the Cleaning is a farce. They donā€™t clean, they just walk in and make the bed. every day something else is wrong. Missing towels, not cleaned room,ā€¦ and the staff is talking loudly from 6 in the morning on. The price of over 100ā‚¬ per night is way too high! Not value more than 2* standard! The pool is nice though..

Genuinely Thai people are friendly & polite but here you only meet Rude with an attitude. One receptionist even manage to raise the voice to my family. They do not care your booking detail, they have their own rules. So donā€™t rely on your booking detail. Location - away from main city centre but you will have sleepless night due to loud music playing at night club another side of resort all night & every night. Be prepare to walk 15 min single journey from main square. Breakfast was average & not much choice. Donā€™t be surprise when Monkey snatch your food. Not much things to do around the resort unless you want to spent time in the Resort only.

We had a lovely stay at the phi phi coco beach resort. The pool area was incredible, with a large swim up bar and over looking the ocean. The view is really unbeatable. The pool area was never overcrowded and was very relaxing. The bungalow/room was beautiful! Very clean and the beds were comfortable. Our biggest complaint and the only thing that would make up hesitant in returning was the level noise at night from the nearby beach club/party. We would hear music from 9pm-2/3am every night. They did supply ear plugs but the music is so loud you can definitely hear it through the ear plugs. The restaurant has very good food, but it is much cheaper to leave the resort and go to a restaurant into town.

I came with my husband and our 15 months old son. The food is good and the swimming pool area is good as well. The bedrooms are made of bamboo so theyā€™re not soundproof. You can hear absolutely everything: your neighbours or anyone even just talking. My son and my husband got sick and they couldnā€™t sleep during the afternoon because they were doing some work near our room and was too loud. The party at night is TOO LOUD and goes up to around 2AM. So if you have kids with you or you have a light sleep this is not a good place for sure!!! I wish I had read the reviews before booking. Iā€™m very disappointed.

The pool is nice & the view is great here. I love all the decorations are done in bamboos which are special. The price is also reasonable. However, we can hear our neighbor talking as the house is made with bamboos. Also, there is very loud music the whole night across the sea/river & it feels that you are clubbing the whole night. šŸ„¹

So overall it was a nice stay. But there are two bigger things because of which I donā€™t give 5 stars. First one the breakfast: the buffet is okay, nothing exiting but you find more or less all the basics. But the staff is really understaffed. Most of the time they donā€™t have time to clean the tables in time so you have to wait until the clean it. Itā€™s not their fault there are just not enough people who work there. The second thing english skills from the reception staff. Theyā€™re super friendly but it is hard to understand them. We had a few questions at the beginning and they werenā€™t able to help us because they didnā€™t understand the questions. Ah and you can hear everything when youā€™re inside the bungalow and someone is walking around in front of it. A few nice things we liked: the pool area is great. Everything is really clean. People are really nice. There is a movie night every night at 7 pm directly at the beach. The jungle vibe you get when youā€™re walking around the bungalow village is great. So overall it was a good stay.

I was hesitant about booking this resort because of all the negative reviews, but Iā€™m so happy we booked it in the end. The service was amazing, room was clean, the resort itself is really charming and has a great vibe. Yes, you can hear the music a bit, but itā€™s nothing dramatic, we didnā€™t have any trouble sleeping. Itā€™s very well located, just a 10 min walk from all the restaurants and bars. Would recommend staying here

We really enjoyed our stay at the Coco. The vibe was lovely with these beach bungalows and sand paths. You could hear people talking outside, but if you are a good guest you know not to speak loudly šŸ˜Š But it wasn't a problem for us. It can get quite dark in the rooms because the lights aren't so bright plus the palms block out a lot of light. So when I woke up during the night I was often disoriented. The breakfast buffet was amazing. The second best I have tried. Lots of options of cakes, pastries, bread, dim sum, Thai dishes, fruits, coffee drinks, etc. It was a highlight! They also provide drinking water in your room. Great pool. The restaurant was a little pricy for the little amount of food you got. Great customer service: they transport your luggage to and from tonsai pier. Definitely recommend!

As a fellow business owner, this is tough to give the Hotel three stars because although the hotel should be a five star. Itā€™s more of a warning to future visitors to this island of what happens when the lights go down. It is 1 AM right now and it sounds like there is a hip-hop dance concert Outside my room and it is literally across the island. Itā€™s sad that this beautiful island allows us to go on as late as itā€™s going to. Iā€™ve heard 2 or 3 in the morning and by reading other reviews, is not just whiny old people . I love loud music, but this is ridiculous. I am here for four nights. I am canceling the rest of my nights and going off this island tomorrow. I am sure 70 to 80% of this island can hear this music. The actual Cocoa Beach hotel is a five. The walls are literally made out of bamboo and yeah, I can hear the people talking next to me in the next room and if somebody has kids and they cry. Yep you can hear that too but the daytime facility is quite beautiful and the food is good . But if you are annoyed, sensitive to sleep, this is not the place to be.

Would be close to a 5* review if it werenā€™t for the music on the beach. Clearly not the hotels fault, but it was pretty bad from 9pm -2/3am. The rooms are great though, high spec finish with a blend of rustic and mod cons. Reception staff are lovely, but English isnā€™t great so level of service is affected as a result.

Loved our stay here! The hotel was perfect, the rooms had all the essentials! The location is also great the only down side is the long walk to get to a good swimming spot. During high tide you have to walk around the island. The buffet breakfast was just perfect and the pool outstanding! The staff were wonderful! Donā€™t forget to enjoy the complementary kayaking experience!

Staying here genuinely feels like you are camping. Very cramped rooms with paper thin walls to the point of hearing clear conversations in the huts next to you. Even though it is far away from the main clubs, the noise travels through the cove and you'll hear it all until 2-3am every night. Staff were reasonable most of the time but called our room after checking in to confirm happy hour times but upon attending the pool, was told they don't do happy hour at the moment.. We left feeling more tired than when we arrived but not after it took close to 30 minutes to complete check out/have our bags collected with barely any others around. Would not recommend staying here if you value space, sleep and general comfort.

Love this place, nice atmosphere of bamboo huts, this hotel use eco products for bathroom as well and you can ask to keep towels for couple days to save water. Service is very good. Would love to come back here. The party at the pool finishes quiet early, but still if you donā€™t like the noise, you should specify it to get the hut far away from pool.

We enjoyed staying at this resort overall. The bungalows are beautiful but the only down fall was that the rooms are not sound proof like they were advertised to be. There is loud thumping music until 2:30am from the beach clubs which we were not warned about previously, and we could hear unpleasant noises from the rooms next door to us. We were woken up at 6am every morning from the people staying in the rooms around us - we could hear their whole conversation. The pool was beautiful, the cocktails were delicious, the breakfast was a standard hotel resort breakfast. The people who worked here were very kind and welcoming. However if we the rooms were advertised to not be soundproof we probably wouldnā€™t have booked this resort as we got hardly any sleep.

We had a great time at coco. The music is absolutely something you should consider. I slept like a log as I always do but my wife, who thought she could manage, had trouble. Other than that the pool was awesome and rooms stayed very cool to sleep at night. I believe you should go if you plant to party of can handle clubs in the distance.

Had a really wonderful time staying here, the rooms, pool area and resort is genuinely the best place to stay on phi phi! Breakfast is one of the best Iā€™ve had at a hotel too. Really beautiful with all the palm trees, and you wonā€™t get a better pool with sea view! Yes, there is noise from the clubs on the beach late at night (must be some odd acoustics around the bay, as they are quite far away) but really didnā€™t bother us or prevent sleeping. You are staying on phi phiā€¦ so if you canā€™t beat them, join them!! To have a great time you need to come with the party mindset and take part in what the island has to offer! You wonā€™t get 100% silence anywhere on the island near the town. Other great thing was the kayaking (which is free!) from the hotel, we were able to visit monkey beach quite easily.

Peaceful and awesome resort on phi phi. It's on the other side of the island, a bit far from party places so you have to walk a bit post party. Otherwise I like the whole vibe of the resort. The breakfast was amazing . The best part of the resort was the ocean side spa. You get to hear the waves and relax while getting a nice Thai massage. What more can u ask. The only drawback was rooms are a bit crunched and there is no space to even open your luggage. Ideal only for 2 people and if you have kids it might be conjusted.

This resort is great. The cabin was the perfect size for two people and we felt like we were staying right in the jungle - but with AC! The pool area is very nice and itā€™s very close to the main attractions and restaurants. It only took us about 5 minutes to walk anywhere we wanted. We also liked that they had massages available on the beach and kayaks you could take out for free to monkey beach. The hotel does warn about noise before you arrive and Iā€™d recommend you take them (and all the other reviews) seriously. The bass music from the beach bars is very loud and goes straight through the bamboo walls. Unless youā€™re a deep sleeper, it can be very difficult to sleep. The other noise issue we had was we could hear people in the other cabins around us which made us feel like we didnā€™t have a ton of privacy. It definitely feels like more of a glamping type experience than your typical resort, but if youā€™re into that, itā€™s fantastic!

The best resort I have ever stayed. It's absolutely beautiful, the staff is very warm an friendly, the breakfast is awesome. we had free kayak and went to a beautiful island. The pool area was amazing. I would go back for sure. Even the little noite at night didn't bother me.

The rooms are made of bamboo so theyā€™re not soundproof. You can hear absolutely everything: your neighbours or anyone even just talking. We couldnā€™t sleep at all. The party at night is TOO LOUD and goes up to around 2AM. So if you wish to sleep donā€™t book this hotel! Also, there isnā€™t pressure and hot water in the rooms! One of the worst hotels I have never been!

After reading all the reviews I was really worried about staying here. But we had an amazing time. The pool was beautiful even at night. The first night we watched a movie and yes you can hear the music from the other end of the island but not enough to ruin the movie. We could get to sleep every night. You can hear a general base line. But nothing turning on some Netflix in the room then passing out didnā€™t solve. If you are a Karen that everything upsets you on holidays. Donā€™t stay here. Otherwise itā€™s amazing. The drinks at the bar are so good. The passion fruit mojito was amazing :). Loved the little huts. It added to the island vibe. Hotel staff were lovely to us. We had no issues.

It started nice but things started to go south. We received a notice from the hotel stating they were going to do mosquito fogging from 3 - 5pm. We were advised to go to the restaurant and pool area. So we did. While we were having afternoon food, they started the work. The whole pool & restaurant area were smoky as hell. It smelled unhealthy. We had to abandon our food & drink and evacuate the area. It was funny the staff gave us the bill right before all these happened. Yes, we still paid for it but we couldn't have the food anymore. There was no apology of any sort. So then my friends thought it was okay to stay outside that night and chatted for a couple of hours. The second morning I realized I have around 30+ mosquito bites on my left leg and 20+ on the right leg. For the room cleaning service, I had to ask 3 times to get it done. They only replaced the bed sheets but didn't refill any of the bathroom amenities. Luckily one of my friends brought shower gel...

It's a wonderful hotel - nice little bungalows, a pool with a bar. Good breakfast with the occasional entertainment of staff preventing monkeys from getting a share. There are two major downsides out of control of this hotel - noise and pollution/debris on the beach. The last 3 nights there was party till 2am at a noise level like the party was next door, but it was actually at the other end of the beach. The amount of debris/pollution on the beach is very sad - they clean the beach right in front of the hotel. But right next to it you see what actually is in the water where you like to have a swim. Next time I would consider a stay in the south/east of the island.

Nice infrastructure: pool, bar and restaurant. Breakfast is not that great. Rooms are small but look good and cozy. Rooms close to the pool are very noisy due to movie sessions carried out every evening in the pool. During the night all rooms are noisy due to party going on on nearby locations until 2 a.m. Reception/management is confusing and unorganized. In the end the receptionist wanted to charge us twice the price for the boat trip to the next island. I don't know if it was on purpose or by mistake but felt very unconfortable. Overall staff was very friendly.

The resort is beautiful, the staff is very kind and helpful. Itā€™s located right at the beach and they have a beautiful deck. You can canoe to the monkey beach and take a dip in the ocean. The pool and the pool bar is fantastic. The bamboo huts are gorgeous and very comfortable to stay in. Highly recommend!!

When booking we had a several options to choose from, chose a 36m2 bungalow with queen sized bed (higher price). After arriving at the hotel receptionist told us all rooms are the same, with same bed sizes. Felt a bit scammed, sine bought services that do not exist. There was no wifi in the room, restaurant food was so so, but most importantly the staff was not very friendly (except those who were responsible for cleaning the property's surroundings); Bungalow was small, but nice. Would suggest to correct the advs.
