I recently visited this pier bustling with big ferries and boats, and the sight was truly magnificent. The spaciousness of the pier allowed for a seamless flow of activity, while the colorful long-tail boats added a vibrant touch to the scene. The pier guards were helpful, and representatives from end-of-pier hotels were present to assist tourists in finding their accommodations. From my hotel balcony, the pier was visible and looked stunning from above, especially at night when it was quiet. The atmosphere was captivating, and it was a joy to witness the maritime hustle and bustle.

It is a pretty standard pier that has alot of traffic during the daytime with the arrival and departure of visitors. Upon arrival you will be required to pay a tourism fee of 40 baht per visitor (if I recall correctly), this is for island beautification projects as I was told. The onload/offload process is smooth and you generally won't spend a whole lot of time at the pier itself. It can be a really nice place to take photos at night with all of the fishing and taxi boats moored in the water. I have added a picture of the pricing and times of the ferries. These are not from Ton Sai Pier but from the ferry dock on the Phuket side

This spot is where’re you will either board or arrive on phi phi islands there is a island fee of 30 baht a person when arriving so ensure you have some cash! You can chose between either the high speed ferry’s or you can go diving with one of the boats! If you are confused as to which company you are boarding with don’t be afraid to ask the local they will help you usually it’s 30 mins before you can board but I would arrive an hour ahead as it does get busy!

One of the most beautiful & scenic piers where passengers from ferries & boat embark & disembark. Big ferries, speed boats & long tail wooden boat on the pier looked amazing. Sea was calm & water clean. This was the place we disembarked from our ferry to visit Phi Phi Island.

You arrive at Ton sai Pier on Phi phi and since it is a Pier you hardly find good beach time here. Ton sai is way more commercial and rightly so as this is where the pier is. We arrived here at Ton sai pier from Phuket via Phi Phi cruiser Ferry which started at 9am at Phuket and reached here around 11.30am. The pier is clean. There is an entry fee of 20 baht which is collected by the government to keep phi phi clean. The hotel/resort staffs are usally at the pier to collect your luggage and move you to the hotel. There are no ticket counters here for one to book Ferry/speedboat to Phuket or krabi directly and there is one official stall for this purpose but the staff there demands double the price for the same ferry ticket. If you want to book ferry/speedboat or Tour tickets, then the best option is to check around with various tour travels agencies near the pier and book through them. Fortunately we found a lady at a tour agency who offered us ferry ticket for 400 baht to reach Krabi the next day where as the staff at the pier stall asked us 700baht for the same ticket. Bargaining for everything here is the only norm.
