Spent 10 awesome days diving with Phi Phi Barakuda. It was our 1st time back under the water in over 2 years due to COVID but the people at Barakuda made it an easy time for us to get right back into the swing of things. Thanks to extremely helpful shop staff, knowledgeable guides/instructors, excellent boat & crew I can honestly recommend this shop as one of the best on the island. The care & attention they give all their guests from 1st time to experience divers was on display throughout our time with them. It was a pleasure to dive with Omar, Jean & Tom. Scott & Terry also made the boat great fun & we hope to dive with them when we return.

Professional instructors and very likable. My girlfriend doesn't know how to swim and the instructors made it very easy for her. She enjoy it so she wants more :) We took the 2 dives...All great, the price the company the food. A must to do in Thailand!

Stephan was amazing from the moment I walked in. Initially I was hesitant to dive because I didn't have my contact lenses with me but they have a wide range of prescription masks (something I've not seen with other dive shops as yet) so thought it was fate! He was very thorough in running me through all of the local species that you can see. Had 2 great dives in a nice small group and got to see plenty of amazing sea life - eals, cuttlefish and a black tip reef shark were my favourite! Highly recommend heading for a dive or 2 with Barakuda while you're in phi phi. Heads up about the marine park fee (600 Baht). It's not included in the price so make sure you have enough cash).

Signed up for 2 Fun Dives, one being a wreck dive. James was our instructor and he was quite aware and always there looking after the group. They served fried rice and fruits for lunch. The boat staff was also very helpful, hardworking and competent. There were multiple groups of divers getting in and out of different locations and the captain did well to manage pickups and drops off without any delays for anybody. Overall it was we'll organised and a great experience.

My husband and I did four fun dives here and cannot recommend this place enough! We are still very new divers, and they put us at ease immediately. We dove with Scott the first day and Vanessa the second day, and both were friendly and patient, offering very clear guidance and communication. Great experience!

Hands down the best team I’ve ever gone diving with. Customer service was amazing, all gear is in excellent condition (and they go the extra mile to make sure it fits you!), and the instructors all truly love their job - it shows! Highly recommend!

This awesome place made my son dream come true! Today it was his first dive, Omar and Vanessa made it to be the best experience ever which he is going to remember whole his life.. Level of welcoming, professionalism, patience and kindness is really exceptional! Very nice dive center, staff very friendly, nice boat. We did 2 fun dives and 4 discover scuba, everything smooth and perfect for the beginners. Good equipment for rent, they take care of the setup of the gear. Scott is pretty cool as well, very chill and easy going. I recommend 100%, I'll be back if back on phi phi.

I had my first contact with diving here and after a guided dive trip I decided to do the open water course as well. The atmosphere is amazing, it is welcoming, friendly and funny as well as highly motivating. It is obvious that they do their job with passion and all their heart. My instructor, Omar, was great, his explanations are detailed and easy to understand. It was easy to feel the wealth of experience and knowledge when it comes to all things diving. All in all it was a very rewarding experience and I can only advice everyone so inclined to use this dive shop should the opportunity arise.

Honestly I was super nervous about getting my diving license but when I came to barakuda Scott was so amazing he really went into detail of the theory and what I’d be doing everyday he reassured me and so I decided to take the 3day course and man am I so happy I did it especially at barakuda the knowledge of the three diving instructors was so vast! Scott, Emily and Jean were the best people I could ask for to start this new amazing journey with I had the honor of being taught by Jean and she is literally the best! Chose the place because of it's rating, it is also close to my hotel and the dive instructor Michael looked professional. The prices are exactly the same all over the island (checked 3 more places). The entire experience was very good. Everything was on a high level, no time problems, no equipment problems. Nothing to complain about. Thank you Michael for two great morning dives.

Best scuba diving place is Phi Phi! Right from the customer service prior I was chatting with Andy who was absolutely lovely and made booking quite easy, even check up on me prior to my arrival which made me feel quite at home with them before even reaching Phi Phi! The whole team is just spectacular. The boat is perfect and the groups are smaller so you get a more personalized experience on your trips. Went for 2 fun dives Shoutout to my favorite divemaster to this day is Billy! He made it so fun and let me dive at the speed and pace I wanted and he is very knowledgeable on the marine life! His personality is absolutely bubbly and felt like we have been lifelong friends! Will definitely be back to with these guys!

When I approached the shop Annaleise patiently explained about all dive options and convinced me that Barakuda was the diving shop for me. I had a great day diving with Uri! I was very lucky to dive alone with the divemaster, looked like a private dive. There is so much marine life and colors in phi phi islands. The best place for me so far. We had 2 dives both relaxing and fun with different things to see and explore. The view to maya bay during lunch time was on point too. I would definitely dive with Barakuda team again!

As a group of seven people we had been diving for three days with PhiPhi Barakuda Dive Center. We really appreciate fantastic support coming from all the Team. Especially we are very grateful for absolutely amazing and professional guiding by Daniel. He was very helpful and patient especially for fresh divers. Thanks to Daniel we all felt fully secured and we had a lot of fun and pleasure during diving. Briefing before and after dives was full of content and clear instructions. He always gave appropriate and useful hints which impacted visible progress of fresh divers. Daniel as a person is very calm, nice, enthusiastic, friendly and very communicative with great English skills. Also we want to point out Scott who took care of our friend during Discover Scuba Diving program. Great place to dive. I spent 4 days at Phi Phi, diving every day with the team and did Open Water PADI here. My instructor Omar guided me through the course in a very professional way and taught everything the diver needs to know to feel absolutely relaxed underwater. The course was 1:1 at the time I visited, which is totally worth the price. The staff is very experienced with decades spent on mastering diving, I’d bet they can teach a cat how to dive. Highly recommend

We did not plan to dive in Phi Phi, but suddenly saw this place. After some long consideration we decided to go for 13.30 diving and it was amazing! Diving spots in Phi Phi are much better than in Krabi, and Barakuda Scuba Diving are great dive masters. The boat is nice with water, tea, coffee and lunches all included in price.

A nice diving center with excellent service. We enjoyed fun dives with Stephanus (Steven) - he was super professional and made sure everyone is getting the most out of the experience. He prepared and adjusted our gear, was helpful in every step of getting ready to dive and made sure divers are enjoying the beauty under water while respecting nature. We received a lunch box on the boat and they made sure I get vegan food - was much appreciated. Would definitely recommend and go diving w them again.

Phi Phi Barakuda Scuba helped fulfill a lifelong dream for me. These folks are professionals who clearly explain the "ins & outs" to beginning divers to help them acclimate quickly to the undersea world. Our instructor, Keegan from Liverpool, was so friendly and helpful, and he shared an amazing first time dive with us. Lunch, fresh fruit, water/tea/coffee were all included on the boat ride to/from the dive sites. I will definitely be diving again! I highly recommend Phi Phi Barakuda Scuba! This truly was an ABSOLUTELY AMAZING experience.

This place was great to dive with! Awesome staff. Very friendly and thorough with communication. The dive sites are awesome, and they did a great job customizing the dives to individual skill levels. The boat is big, yet not crowded. Having a bathroom on board is a plus. You even get to choose your lunch option the previous day from half a dozen selections

Had an amazing experience, we saw black tip sharks and leopard shark (see the picture!). Jeremy did amazing pictures of us! Would definitely recommend the diving school, we were not such a big group which was amazing.

Myself and my partner were first time divers. Vijay was a great instructor that was patient and was great at keeping me calm! He was encouraging without being overbearing. Once down in the water and he was confident in our ability, he gave us some freedom to dive without him holding onto the vests which was exciting. We went on 2 dives and managed to even see turtles on dive 2. An incredible experience, Barakuda are the people to choose if you’ve never dived before but want to try!

Greg the owner takes good care of his divers and does not take financial shortcuts that compromise the safety of the divers eg. Hiring an extra boat to have extra safety on dives. Keegan our instructor was amazing - hard working, clear on his instructions, made us feel safe and made it fun. Their prices are also great. I took my open water certification course with Lotte and loved her as an instructor! Prior to coming to Barakuda Scuba I had zero scuba experience and wasn't that comfortable in the water although I can swim. Lotte has a very calm, gentle and patient way of teaching which helped me so, so much. I appreciate her so much because I was able to take my time and go at a comfortable pace to complete my confined water skills assessments and complete my open water dives to complete my certification. Lotte if you're reading this, thank you and you are awesome!! The dive sites are beautiful!!! The coral reefs are amazing and there are so many fish too see. Eddy, the manager was also nice to work with. He was professional made the logistical process seamless with booking, putting a deposit done and etc. And he patiently answered all of our questions. The boat crew, underwater photographer, and office staff were great too. I would highly recommend Phi Phi Baracuda scuba! Note: for the open water assessment you'll have to suit up at the shop with all of your equipment and gas tank and then walk about 10 minutes to get to the ocean where you'll do the confined water assessment test in a protected/roped off area. The walk with the heavy gear was tiring for me and it was challenging to go up and down the stairs into the ocean. This was the least favorite part of my experience but doable... just wanted to give people a heads up if they are expecting to do the confined water assessments in a pool. Also my husband and I requested to do the studying of the studying material on our own (electronically) vs being taught in person. It was less expensive to do this and it worked better for our schedule but I forget the price difference. However it's a lot of material and the PADI app was very annoying to navigate and read from since it was not very user friendly. Just throwing this info out there in case it may help you decide between learning the theory in person or on your own electronically.

We really enjoyed diving with Barakuda! We did 2 dives, saw an Octopus in motion and Cuttle fish, reef was impressive and loved the one-on-one dive instructor service we received. Scott really made us feel at ease and well looked after!

My friends and I didn't regret diving with these guys one bit. For starters, the instructors (Joseba and Anthony) were absolute professionals. We had no trouble understanding them in English (at times, Spanish) or trusting them to be our guides. I'd recommend giving Phi Phi Barakuda a shot if you're planning to do a scuba discovery! The entire crew was approachable and reassuring. Equipment was fantastic (I got a dive computer to geek out over) and the gear was in good condition. Also, while this shouldn't matter to most divers, this was the most comfortable dive boat I'd ever been on with an upper viewing deck, large indoor area to hide from the wind and an equally large wet deck to gear up on. I'd love to dive with them again.

Great dive shop, professional, good equipment. Special thanks to Eddie for the attentive service and Scott for making me feel calm when doing the wreck dive using long tail when the water was choppy and current was strong. He even helped with my mask which was in perpetual fog. Thanks guys enjoyed it tremendously.

We visited a few shops on the island before deciding to go with barakuda for fun dives. My husband and I are both advanced divers with 50-65 dives each. While pricing is the same on the island between shops, Barakuda included free nitrox for our dives (we are certified). The shop itself is comparable to other dive shops and the boat is large but nothing spectacular. The biggest positive for us was diving with Aimee, who we insisted we dive with after the first day. She is a great communicator, showed us a lot under water, set up our gear and is thorough with her briefings. Great fun diving.

I has been a while since my latest dive, therefore I took my time and searched for the the dive center that made me feel comfortable and safe about getting back to the water. Talking online with Eddy and in-person with Michael was exactly the experience I was looking for. Everything, from booking to the post dive brief, was chilled and relaxed and my diving experience was just perfect. I would also like to thank Jordan, the Divemaster student that led the second dive and was also very professional and made me feel secure and enjoy very much. I felt extremely safe the whole time -- our instructor was great with walking us through everything and always making sure we were doing well during every dive. Absolutely outstanding dive shop. Best on phi phi by miles. I only go to the best, I went in every shop on the island and barakuda was the best by far. Extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. I will not be using anyone else other then barakuda when I go back to phi phi islands. which I will be doing very soon. I did 8 dives and completed my wreck speciality. The ship wreck and dive sites around phi phi islanded are out of this world, but above all the instructors are outstanding I had keegan for my wreck spec then had Max and Noa For the other dives. Quality of training is top tier. With regards to the marine life I saw turtles, black tip sharks, rays, leopard sharks and of course many different types of fish. Nothing but laughter and joy at barakuda! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
