Free every first Friday of the month. My son had so much fun. The environment was very clean and there was help in every direction. There even a large play area that was well maintained. We enjoyed our first time to the museum. We will be back next summer! The staff was amazing and the foam was the life of the party. I would recommend that you take your children here and have a great time.

We like it in there, the whole mask on the kids thing is annoying and unnecessary. Most businesses, companies, restaurants, stores, etc. In Arizona do not require masks. The place is big and fun. It's clean and open space enough for large groups. Parking is easy and readily available. Great place to take the kids to get some energy out and go explore. Overall we really like it.

True to its name, this museum is designed for children and my six-year-old daughter loved it. The entrance isn't very impressive, but once you pay the $17 per ticket price, walk around the corner and you'll see a three-level climbing tree with quirky stops like a bathtub and a car. There are three floors of interactive exhibits from a kid-sized grocery store to a car wash to small fake ice cream stands. The winners were every art stand. There's an art room on the top floor where we spent most of our time making art and creations. Overall, it was a great experience. A few of the exhibits are worn down and cheaply made, but our daughter didn't care.

Fun place! For both kids and adults alike, lots of interactive activities. Totally worth the ticket price, look to spend about 2-3 hours.. bring snacks and fluids. Your kids will have a blast.. and if you have a young spirit you will too 😁

Beautiful children’s museum with several floors of interesting things for kids to do. There’s a huge climbing structure in the middle, tricycle riding through a “car wash”, rooms to play with art, interesting activities like racing cars or sending balls down a track, a sand pit outside, a tube structure room to climb and have fun, and that’s just some of it! Our daughter was exhausted after a few hours but still didn’t want to leave. Great place! Bathrooms were clean, parking was free, and staff were friendly and helpful.

My kids, ages 7 and 8, absolutely loved this place, and even after 4 hours, they did not want to leave. There are so many things for kids to do and I only wish I had purchased the annual pass since now I know we'll be coming back many more times. The gift store is full of super cute things, some way over priced, but I guess that's pretty typical. I had fun too. What a great way to spend a few hours with your children.

This place is awesome for a family weekend trip. We came to visit from LA and it’s always fun to drop by a kids museum. My six year old son loved it and I had fun as well. Make sure you give yourself plenty of time because there are three floors and plenty of activities to do. I really enjoyed the outdoor garden and all of the interactive play. It really sparked my inner child and made for a fun weekend trip.

My 7 and 9 yo kids loved it, although I'd argue 4-6yo would be best for most stuff. Spent a few hours here pretty easily. No real complaints. Wish there were more places like this.

I really like this place and my grandkids (ages 18 mos, 2 yrs, 3 yrs and 6 yrs) LOVE this place. So much interactive exhibits and lots of different experiences for them to burn off energy. Trust me you'll buy the annual pass and go often. Enjoy.

We went on a Friday evening and had so much fun. It was an enjoyable experience for all of us. People were really friendly as the kids played together. We wholly encourage anyone that wants an interactive experience for their kids and themselves to visit the Children's Museum of Phoenix.

Awesome place! My son had a blast and could spend the whole day there. There is innovation and creativity in literary every corner! Great brain exercise place. Just a suggestion: outside at the table area with water mist and green/blue umbrellas, there is opportunity to build an amazing vertical garden at the walls with aerial plants. The misting system is already in place. Moisture is already in the air!! 👏🏻👍🏼

So much fun! The kids had a great time! Loved all the different areas and everything that had climbing on where kids could be without parents being able to see them 100% of the time had one access point to the whole area. Lots of team members around to help if kids got separated from their parents or group.

We had a wonderful time. There is some covered parking. $17 per person to enter. First floor is a huge play piece the kids can climb in, could be considered art. Second floor has tricycle area and other hang out spots. Third floor was the best for us, lots things to do. You can go to the outside area where the foam is from the second floor, also the cafe. The cafe had some yummy bakery items, we enjoyed the pop tart. There were a couple high chairs available, and you can bring your own snacks. We visited with a 18 month old, she was ready for a nap after 3 hours.

Loved this place SO much! 3 floors of activities for my 6 year old son, and he left at closing exhausted! There's plenty of handicap access and food options as well on-site. I highly recommend it, and for the pricing, we will be back often!

Wow awesome place! We love children museums and this place is on the top that Iv been too, my 2year old had a blast, I did too!! Beware You do have to pay for anyone over 1 years old, Which is a little greedy of them if you ask me, at least a discount for someone under 2 would be more supportive of new parents. But worth the visit. Food cafe was reasonably price we got a turkey Panini (7.50$) and a spinach salad (6$) with a strawberry smoothie(3.50)

I'm kinda embarrassed to admit it was my very first time here after living in Phoenix for more than 12 years and having an almost 7 year old kid. This place is amazing and so much fun. There is so much to do, and see, and experience. My daughter had a blast, and we are definitely coming back. I believe they offer a membership. I need to look into that.

This is a no-brainer for kids! This place is super fun! From being able to climb a two-story metal tree house inside filled with things like flying bathtubs and rowboats to tramping through a forest of pool noodles, racing boxcars or doing art there's too much fun to be had. We spent 3 hours here but didn't get to do it all. It was really fun.

One of the best museums in Arizona for kids ages 1-8 years old. The most cognitive, sensory and hand eye coordination stimulation your child will ever get from most attractions. The staff is incredible and passionate about their jobs and very delighted to be there. Met a woman there who told me she has worked at this museum since it opened. And that she loves it everyday. I've only been here 4 times but every time i come here it is an Incredible experience. I definitely recommend anyone with multiple kids to come here because it is such a safe environment. Has baby friendly areas in each room! Love this place planning on getting a membership !!! Honestly, Ive seen that any ages are welcomed to play as long as everyone is respectful towards the rules!

The museum has quite a bit to offer! Lots of play spaces and hands on experiences. We definitely were glad there was a cafe with plenty of snack options. Our kids most especially enjoyed the climbing structure. We spent about three hours and explored just about every space. A little pricey, so I'm glad we planned on spending a good amount of time there. We don't live local, but if we did I could see families making shorter, more frequent trips.

We took my niece here while she was visiting. It wasn’t super crowded and all the kids that went, ages 3, 10, and 13 had fun. I’d say the 13 year old was on the upper age of being able to enjoy it, but she still had fun. Clean bathrooms and a place to grab a snack.

If you have a child under 10 they will love it. If you're a grown man there with your child the Noodle forest is the funnest thing. Me and my friend chased his 5 year old in there and we were giggling like children. And when we were standing outside another dad came out and told his friend to go in there and they came out giggling like children. The whole setup is great and the prices are cheap. Where else are you going to take your kid for 17 bucks. They Also have cool little reading books and books all around.

What an AMAZING children’s museum! My 7 year old loved it… and I loved the break from the heat! Such a good value! Her favorites were the three story climbing structure, the noodle forest, and the worm tunnel! I did think it was strange that adults had to pay since they aren’t the audience. I understand the need, but I would suggest one adult free with each paying child. 😂🤣😂

My kids had an absolute blast! There are tons of things to do and see. This kids favorites were the massive multistory jungle gym tower thing that they spent over an hour on! And my kids loved this pool noodle thing where they could play hide and seek. But I have to say that I was most surprised by the amazing staff who were all smiles and seemed to love working with kids!! Particularly one guy who was absolutely amazing his name was Matt! He's the biggest reason I wanted to write this review, he had a whole swarm of kids around him and was playing games with the kids and had them going on scavenger hunts and telling jokes and encouraging them to play and have a wonderful experience! Thank you Matt and the whole staff for making this a great experience for the kids!

Great indoor playground , few exhibits, it's not huge, but perfect for 0-5 for sure. Very large climbing structure that's very safe. Our door areas are very nice as well, small playground, and garden. They have a parking lot, but I can tell the earlier the better, but also ppl do leave frequently. WE visited on a Sunday, and there was a special , grand parents and grand kids free, I paid for my self ( Mom and Dad's where $11.95) but check the website for tickets prices and events that they are having.

We received a pass, good for one year for eight people, from WIC. Our first time with a pass. We'd gone before on free days and it's so crowded and the kids tend to fight over the balls and hankerchiefs. Great time to visit, Thursday afternoon. Brought our own food and drinks to not have to pay anything. Had a blast with all my kids. We'll be back many times this year. Had to add... The kids I brought today we're ages 10, 7, and 2. They all had found something they loved.

Best children’s museum we’ve ever been to. So many things to enjoy for every level of childhood. From being just a baby to 10 years old you can have something for every age. My daughter just turned 5 and she gets to continue to enjoy different aspects of the museum. The giant play structure on the first floor is fantastic for indoor play on hot phoenix days, and for getting most of the energy out. Plenty of fun play things, and crafts. Also rotating exhibits every so often. Currently it’s Eric Carle themed exhibit. My daughter loves this place and has memories from when she was very young and still making them.

Wow! I am in awe of how much planning went into creating this magnificent wonderland for children. My one-year-old loves everything about this place. I love that the moment you step into the place you’re greeted by a friendly staff member. After talking to several staff you can tell they really like their job. There is one young gentleman in particular, Isaiah, who you can truly tell LOVES his job. From the dinosaur tail to how he greets each child. He is patient, kind, and very interactive with each exhibit he is at. My child adores this gentleman! He remembered him from the last time and ran up to him to show him something he found. Thank you Isaiah and staff for making this place magical! We’ll be back again!

If you don't wear a mask, They will either force you to buy one, Or leave the museum if your mask isn't "normal". Then security will follow you around all day afterwards to make sure you keep it up. Besides that, The kids absolutely love this place. Every room is a playground for the kids, And still a lot of stuff for parents to join in on. You can EASILY spend 3 hours here and the time will fly by

My kids (6 and 9 year old boys) love this place. There were plenty of activities that interested them both and I loved that almost all items were donated and artistically recycled. For non-members $16 per person, babes under 1 are free and $15 for seniors.

Went here for a school field trip, I never been here before and I was amazed at the place! It was fun and interactive for them! Definitely plan to stay here for long hours as they cant have enough of one thing! I enjoyed it and the kiddos did too! I couldn't take more pics as I was watching a couple of tornadoes 😂 having too much fun! Although is for kids Definitely have an eye on them! They have a shopping place for souvenirs and some "snacks" but I was glad I brought lunch for my self!

Love the place, we go once or twice a week, oh and my granddaughter loves it. I feel that she can be herself and just be a kid without worrying that she is not going to have fun every time we go there. Five hours are not enough for her. =P Buying the membership is worth the money that you would at another museum were they would not have the same fun, because it was designed for kids. I wish they had something like this in my old times. As grandparents or parents it is a good place to relax while they play =)

Went as a chaperone for a school field trip and it is amazing. The people that work there are great considering there are excited children everywhere. The exhibits are all interactive and fun. From grocery shopping and cooking to an art studio, a Giant climbing structure and even baby safe zones for each exhibit. It is definitely a place to check out with the family.

Great spot to bring kids. You do need to come with a kid in order to enter (for obvious reasons). Sorry, being a kid at heart won't suffice as a reason to enter. We payed about $15 per person. It's a great place to have kids release energy. They have a small cafe with food, too. All in all a great experience for kids.

This is a great place for children of all ages they have baby and toddler areas also. Lots of fun things to light up their imagination and free play. We love the children’s museum (as do many other Phoenix parents). It’s the perfect place to go during the especially hot and long summer months. The museum is always doing something new and fun for the kids (like the bubble foam party). The membership is definitely the way to go especially if you plan on making many visits throughout the summer. Update: I just wanted to also share how great the employees are with the kids. On our latest visit one employee helped my son build and knock the soft blocks for about twenty minutes and my kiddo was loving every second!

My son and I spent a few days here and for him not to get bored, I search for a playroom nearby and I found this. I then decided to check out the place. It was fun and had a nice variety of science exhibits with hands-on activities and things to learn about. I super liked it and so my kids. The children are learning while playing and that's really great!

The kids get to touch and learn about everything here! It is very much like the Discovery Center in Southern California, however the Children's Museum has one up over the Discovery Cube because it accommodates children that are super young to your almost tweens. There are plenty of activity rooms for the kids anything ranging from shopping for groceries, to playing top chef, or simply being creative and making your own artwork with the supplies they provide you. This place is where your kids can use their imagination and be as creative as they please. Most of the activities and things are indoors, but there is an outdoor play area for those not so hot/frigid days. There is a place to dine on site, and there are plenty of staff to watch over/help/monitor the children. If you are a tv/ipad/videogame natzi like I am, this is definitely a great place to try.

Great place for the kids, lots of different activities for them to enjoy. You can easily spend 2 hours (or more) having the kids constantly engaged and busy the whole time. From a large climbing structure, to pretend kitchen with loading dock, wooden cars, pool noodle maze and a handful of other activities, it was a hit for our group. Highly recommended for visitors and locals.

Love it here! This is one of those places that my kids LOVE to come to! We have a season pass and come often. The kids love getting to shop in the grocery store, check out and even unpack while reloading the food. There is a fun ice cream stand where the kids get to pick their flavors and serve them up. Our favorite part is the noodle forest! A forest full of pool noodles! It is the most super awesome just make sure you walk and don't run!

The best Children's museum we have visited. Parking is free, food is very reasonably priced and age appropriate. If you go around 1pm or later on a weekday you'll miss the field trip crowds. There is a 3 story climbing structure that parents can do with the kids, a grocery store with carts and checkouts, a kitchen area with pizza oven, tons of STEM activities, tricycle rising course, noodle forest to walk through, puppet show/stage area, library, and more. We were there for 5.5 hours and I had to drag my kids out (4yo and 2yo). Anecdotally from what I saw, the kids about 7 and older seemed less engaged/interested.

  • 2/5 Paul M. 4 years ago on Google
2.5 year old daughter had a blast. Place could use an overhaul. Little dirty here and there. Wasn’t much of a museum and definitely isn’t for kids much older than 5. My real issue with the place was the unsupervised 8+ year olds running wide open and knocking over every small child in their path. Especially at the noodle place on the 3rd floor. The employees were nice. Food was super expensive. No regrets going there but won’t be back. Spent $30 to get in and $12 for a hot dog meal. Next time I’ll hit a public park and a McDs for 1/5 the cost.

My boys really enjoyed themselves here. I would recommend kiddos age 3 and up, unless you wanna be chasing your one year old all over the place. But it was nice. They have a lot of different types of play structures. My guys loved the kitchen and grocery store the most. But keep in mind that they have a groupon from time to time, if you are looking to save some money.

This place is amazing!!! It has 3 floors of things to enjoy. Plus a outside area for the kiddos to explore. They seem to really love the grocery store and the kitchen the best. We had lunch on the second floor cafe. It's a bit pricey...You can bring in your own lunch. There are locker available so you don't have to carry your stuff. They're on the 1st floor by the restroom. We got there at 11am we were the last to leave at 4pm. The kids wanted to go the next day.

    Amazing experience with kids

Only open outdoors with masks. I didn’t buy a membership to have my kids miss out on all the magic that made this place so enjoyable such as the huge climber. I have contacted them numerous times about a refund on my membership only to never hear back from them. So sad that this place is no where as amazing as it once was. I am a homeschool parent and wanted to go here during the weekdays and now they are only open Friday Saturday and Sunday.

Outdoor adventure play was so much fun for my kiddos. They spent 3+ hours painting rocks, making things out of recyclables, “ice skating”, playing in sand, watering the garden, and all the other fun activities there. Not crowded at all and the staff was super friendly. Nice job pivoting during Covid to make things safe and still really fun for the kids.

The outdoor play area is now open, my girls enjoyed painting the car and the rocks, picking flowers and the socks skiing. It wasn’t crowded which is great due to covid. Employees are very nice and helpful.

The Children’s Museum of Phoenix has reopened with outdoor exhibits only. It’s actually very fun! And the Phoenix weather right now lends itself to outdoor time. The kids LOVED painting a car, the tool/build area, and the real mail truck! Plus right now (maybe through the end of the month?) they have sock skating.

Place was closed when I got there so wasn't able to visit this time. Looks like they're expanding activities to the parking lot. Several item setup to be explored. I'll have to get back here soon

Halloween event left a little too be desired, especially at the price it was. But we still had fun and made the best of it!

Fantastic place for kids to play and explore. 9- 12 we saw all exhibits, hungry caterpillar able to make caterpillar, foam noodle maze kids loved best. Vehicles to interact , cars n scarves to go with motion, plenty of staff to monitor and help. After lunch we came back to play some more! Its a/c works great! Pack a lunch, there is outdoor seating with misters. We had 6kids 11- 3 , no on was bored. Grocery store entertained kids also doin their own shopping.

Nice place to burn off energy, we usually spend 2 hours here but could easily spend 3-4. There's so much to do and it's even better when school is in session as your toddler can run and explore without all the big kids. Always clean, staff is always polite and attentive. It's now our weekly hangout spot!

Such a fun experience for the kids! So many things to do!! Our fave was the little grocery store experience! Kids get to shop with pretend food and shopping carts and ring each other out! Definitely will be back soon.

Beautiful place. Everything is well thought out. Kids of so many ages can do SO much. If we lived close I would go once a week. It is also very clean.

My son and I had the best day today at the children’s museum in Phoenix. He’s 5 months old so I wasn’t sure if there would be anything for him but I was very wrong! There was a baby section in nearly every room and an adorable under 3 room on the 3rd floor. Happily bought a membership. Everything was clean and well taken care of. Can’t wait for our next trip back.

Went with my grandma and 2yo we had a blast! So worth going and you get what you pay for ! My 2yo had such a blast climbing up the play area, playing in the kitchen and exploring the whole building!

Went here for a school field trip, I never been here and I was stunned at the spot! It was fun and intuitive for them! Most certainly plan to remain here for extended periods as they cannot have enough of a certain something! I delighted in it and the youngsters did as well! I was unable to accept more pics as I was watching several twisters having a great time! Despite the fact that is for youngsters Most certainly have an eye on them! They have a shopping place for gifts and some "snacks" however I was happy I brought lunch for my self!

We all had the best time. We stayed all day and the kids didn’t want to leave. Lot of places for parents to have a seat while the kids play and explore. I love they they even had balance bikes for the kids to try in the courtyard. Staff were incredible.

My child and I love this place. The staff are also so friendly. My child’s favorite is literally everything, they can be there for HOURS. My favorite is the garden area 🌱 We got the membership and it’s very much worth it. I do think they should add some more activities or rotate some. Regardless, we love this museum.

What an absolutely amazing place the boys were climbing building grocery shopping and playing groceries of course. Meeting other kids. Having a great day and it was nice and cool inside. They do have a foam party area but the temperatures being as high as it's been they had to close it off early. There was no cost to us that day because of where one of the people in our party worked, but looking at the price it was well worth all that they had to offer in a play area, especially in this hot summer weather.

What a great place for exploration. We celebrated my grandson's first birthday here, and the staff did a great job. From the initial contact to the close out of the party, each staff member was professional and courteous. We ordered pepperoni and cheese pizzas, meat and cheese trays, and fruit trays. We also had lemonade. Our party hostess was attentive and eager to help. We brought our own cake, and they were able to refrigerate it after the party. Our guest had a great time in the museum, and many of them said they would return. I highly recommend this place for birthday parties or just a family outing.

The photos don't do it justice. Three floors of kid fun, from a giant "tree house" jungle gym of hodge podge materials to painting and theater to mock grocery store/shopping and a full "pizza kitchen" and even a cute little laundromat - this place was worth the entrance fee and my kids LOVED it. Don't rely on their cafe for allergen free choices. Pack your own lunch. You don't visit the museum for the food anyway. Bring water bottles, as they have filling stations throughout every floor. There are activities for active kids and more quiet ones which speaks volumes when you have kids with age gaps and/or opposite personalities. The museum offers a little of everything for every kid out there so it's definitely worth a try and it won't break the bank. And it's not an absolute bore for the parents either. It's quite entertaining for the people watchers out there too.

My daughter LOVED the Museum today in her school field trip. I've been coming here since my son was little, so about 11 years. It could use some updated exhibits, in my opinion, but the kids always enjoy it. The best part is the HUGE climbing structure, even i enjoy that part! I'd also like to see an expanded menu at the cafe. But, as I said, the kids always have fun, and at $17 a ticket it won't break the bank!

My 14 month old son (and his parents) had an amazing time here! We had 2 hours before needing to be at the airport and it was worth stopping. So many unique experiences compared to other children's museums we've visited. It was also a super fun Halloween event, so my son enjoyed seeing all the people dressed up in costumes. We all loved the giant, very unique climber at the beginning. It was fun even for our young one. The only issue we experienced was getting down, as we were getting ourselves and our son down at the same time for certain parts.
