Went for my daughter's 4yr birthday. Bought unlimited meal bundles. The entire park was out of drinks other than alcoholic beverages. Waited an hour to get 3 street tacos and was told they had no drinks. Waited in line for 30 mins at island grill until a young staff member drew an imaginary line in front of me, and said everyone behind the line had to leave. Someone else asked where we could get some food or drink and the young lady rudely said "not here". Went to snack shack but it was closed. The soda refill place: closed. Icee stand: closed. Beach side Grill: closed. The cafeteria was the only thing open other than taco truck (no drinks), and Indian fry bread (unknown if they had drinks), but the cafeteria didn't have any drinks and the floor was flooded and the trash was piled up around the trash cans inside so much u just had to dump trash in the pile.... So 3 places had food. Each had lines over an hour, none had soda, juice, bottled water... 3 tacos cost me $109.99 and 1.5hrs + some frustration with rude staff. Lazy river closed for the whole day. Island swim area: closed. kids slide: closed...many more rides closed.. the only place available for my daughter was a big splash pad but the water smelled strong of mildew and gym socks. Was told they were understaffed and obviously unprepared. Unfortunately they prioritized money over safety by completely filling the park with people when they didn't have the staff to keep us safe. If only they would have drawn the imaginary line in front of us before we entered. We could have saved lots of time and money on my daughters birthday. I really wish I could get my time and money back. I doubt it's like this often, but today was unacceptable

Me and my children had a great time here!!! If you visit please bring sandals or water shoes as a lot of the walking areas might as well be lava. The slides are great, the lines are pretty long for the bigger rides but mostly manageable. The food is meh...for $20 a person at a water park what do you expect really. Overall we had a really good time and I highly recommend 😁

I hate to leave this bad review, I think honestly the place if better taken care has the potential to be full all day not just the morning session. I would have given them a No ⭐ but it is not an option. This is why Pros: The first time I came was before COVID-19 it was called Wet and Wild and the experience was awesome and my daughter had a blast. Everything was open There are shades everywhere Cabañas are ok but pricey. Didn't get one Cons: - This second time around not so much fun for the adults. - Only the main restaurant if you can call it that it was open. - The rest of the concession stands about 2 or 3 were open. - The open Concession didn't have drinks or ice to be served or refilled. - All you can drink cup cost about $35 dollars but what good does it do if there are no place to fill them. - At he Taco stand food not so much desirable - The staff need to be better train since they are using a bunch of high school kids to do the work. Don't get me wrong some of them have awesome customer service skills. - Some of the rides are broken with caution tape. The ones that are open some of the wall look green with some kind of algae. - Wave pool half part of it not working. THIS IS THE WORST, bathroom were disgusting and smelling like a pool of pee all day long, make sure to use sandals or flip flops when entering. I talk to the staff they told me the usually smell like that. Yikes 😬😬😳😳 🤢🤢🤢😷😷😷 - Not enough staff to keep the place up Not what I was expecting from a takeover from Six Flags. I was expecting it to be more and better than the last time I was here 3 years ago. I guess they are following the motto if is bringing money 💰💰💰 don't fix it. The girls had a blast, thank God they don't have to go through the stressful day we did. Since we got the Gold pass for 12 months I hope the Hurricane Harbor in LA is better but not keeping my hopes up

I hate to leave yet another poor review for HHP, but I do want to leave an honest recount of our experience while adding positives as well. There is indeed a LOT of potential for Hurricane Harbor, but changes are needed and I hope they take these reviews to heart. To start with the pros: HHP has a decent park layout where everything is easy to walk to fairly quickly, awesome adrenaline-inducing water slides (even with the sometimes exceedingly long queue times), ample seating under shade structures, and good food / alcohol options (yes it's overpriced- but what else would you expect at a water/theme park?) As others have mentioned, however, the wear and tear of this place is evident if you look for it. I felt a little apprehensive climbing up the stairs for the slides and seeing the rust, deterioration underneath. The furniture we used was filthy and difficult to adjust. Some of the restrooms were also disgusting: likely a fungi breeding ground. Hurricane Harbor also needs to better allocate the lifeguards. It definitely ruined the experience waiting half the day for the lazy river, then the huge influx of impatient visitors all at once made it unpleasant. All the visitors at this park were all grouchy and impatient, actually, and you can't blame them. Lastly, the 'wave' pool needs to be upgraded or relabeled - we didn’t even realize the waves were on until we saw the small breaks on the edges. As they have lifeguards lined up every foot in this pool, I think they could up the machine a bit. During the time we visited most of the food and drink stalls were opened and well stocked. The queues were long, so I would highly recommend utilizing the app! Also, I would highly highly recommend water shoes because you’re experience here will be abysmal avoiding or failing to avoid getting your feet burnt!

BE FOREWARNED- no outside food allowed!! We originally rented a small cabana to eat and rest in, but without having food, it’s not worth it. And the inside food is pricey. Other than that, we had a great day. The water park had a very large playground area for early to mid elementary age children with several age-appropriate, fun waterslides. We spent most of our day here. We also spent time in the lazy river and wave pool. Two other smaller water slides were also good for preschool to early elementary kids. The tubes were $10 and people can snatch them up if you leave them, so be careful.

Old looking and extremely outdated. This was a waste of $34.99 two of the slides were even working and no it wasn’t listed on their website you didn’t find out until you got there. The Typhoon slide was a 54 minute wait time. That’s not even a joke I timed it then when I finally got a chance to ride I saw there was only one raft being used while another one was just sitting on the side smh 🤦🏾‍♂️. I kid you not they had more lost hair ties than anything else at the whole water park! They get one star because the slushies were actually good. Outside of that I wouldn’t recommend this place. It doesn’t look like they upgraded anything from when it was called “Wet N Wild” or “Water world” for that matter.

First off, simply based on the reviews we wouldn’t have gone, but there was an event that we had to attend. The wave pool has been down ALL summer. The water started out clear when we got there, but by mid afternoon it was cloudy. There was even some swimming bug in it. Very poorly chlorinated. For a while, there was ONE of the large 5 person rafts working for both of the giant slides. The line was down 2 levels of steps. Eventually a second, then a third were put into circulation. They are cashless. So you have to use a machine to convert cash to a card. I imagine you don’t get money back if you don’t spend it all. The people working in the cafe looked like they hated their job more than anything. We were told they had no pizza. Then the next person in line got pizza. We had to go back and get it (it was the only thing my daughter would eat.). Just not a good place at all.

Not worth your money. Filfthy and most rides are closed. 1. Arrived shortly before opening time and no one was operating the parking gate and checking parking passes so everyone who parked in got in for free. Which is frustrating because we paid for parking in advanced so lost money on that one. 2. The wave pool kept getting closed down for “safety” at “10 minute” intervals which were more like 30 minutes each time. 3. The lazy river was shut down due to “not having enough lifeguards”. 4. The big rides that have the giant rafts were only sharing TWO rafts all day long, while 5 more were sitting aside deflated. Causing extremely long lines at extremely long periods of time (over an hour wait) in the extreme 115 degree weather. 5. The entire place was filthy the moment they opened. Obviously no one sweeps up at the end of the day. 6. The kid area was a huge let down. The splash pad wasn’t operating. And the area with the kid pool and kid jungle gym litterally smelt like feces. The water was brown and it was DISGUSTING. (see photos) I refused to let my toddlers play in it. So they had only a couple things that were open that met their height requirements. 7. The little stand alone snack bars were all closed except the Dip n Dots. They had about 8 stands and only 1 was in use. So the line was wrapped around the place. Their excuse for not opening the other ones was “schools tomorrow, so we’re not opening other stands” it was on a Sunday, the last day of Summer Break, and you’re not going to go all out and let kids have fun and make the most of it? 8. The bar was closed. 9. The food was awful and tasted like it was day old food. They also don’t have lids for the drinks so how do you manage to carry food and drinks back to your seat without spilling? 10. They ran out of raft rentals instantly so we never got one. Even though we were one of the firsts in the park. Such a waste of money. They operate only a quarter of the rides, but you still have to pay full price. Pure greed and highway robbery.

Overall the park is clean, fun, lines are obviously going to be long so if you come I would suggest doing a tube rental to wait less. The 2 Stars is for the food wait times and their mobile app system. If we aren’t allowed to bring in food, then why only have 1 Taco stand open and 1 burger place open?? Also, if you decide to USE the app you have to wait for a time to pick it up THEN press “prepare” which defeats the purpose of “fast” ordering or ordering ahead. We have been waiting 42 min in line for food and still haven’t gotten to order. This not only wastes time but if you have kids they won’t be all that patient when hungry. The lines to get to the ordering area are horrible. You also can’t get drinks at same location you buy food….you have to go to ANOTHER location. So this needs to be addressed or prepare for an hour wait on food.

Rating: ⭐⭐☆☆☆ (2 out of 5 stars) I feel compelled to provide an honest and comprehensive review based on my recent experience at your establishment. Unfortunately, the overall impression left me quite disappointed and disheartened. To begin with, the pricing seemed disproportionate to the quality of the food offered. I paid over $500 upfront for a birthday party, expecting a memorable experience. However, the lack of a designated area for the event was unexpected and did not meet my expectations. Moreover, the circumstances during the party only exacerbated the disappointment. On a scorching day with temperatures exceeding 110 degrees, the only available option to purchase water was from the bar. This left me and other parents with limited choices and an added level of concern, particularly for the well-being of the children. It would have been greatly appreciated to have more family-friendly options and facilities, considering the extreme weather conditions. Additionally, the absence of a lifetime cup or any long-term benefits for loyal patrons, despite the availability of season passes, left me feeling less valued as a customer. I kindly request that you review the pricing structure and consider offering a discount or complimentary service to compensate for the lack of amenities and the overall disappointing experience that accompanied the high cost. I understand that no establishment is immune to occasional challenges, but addressing these concerns and taking steps to improve can greatly enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty. I hope that my feedback, along with others who may share similar sentiments, will be taken seriously, as it can contribute to the betterment of your business. Thank you for your attention to these matters, and I hope to see positive changes in the future.

I absolutely loved my visit here! My husband and I decided to take our 3 little ones(ages 4, 2 & 9 months) here on our family vacation. I was very impressed with the array of activities in the kids area of the park! We spent all of our time exclusively in the kids area and could have played more but they were closing for the day at that point. There is a big kids water playground style structure as well as a toddler version in a separate area, 6 kids body slides, 1 kids funnel tube slide & 2 kids innertube slides. That is just the kids area! They have so much more to offer for older kids and adults as well! Little ones would also probably enjoy partaking in the lazy river and wave pool but we just didn't get around to it this visit. I was also very happy to see they had a nursing moms area outdoors with rocking chairs, fans, a changing table and curtains. It definitely made me feel more comfortable and welcome to nurse my little guy as needed. One down side was that I didn't see kids life vests open for use around the park. Since we flew to Phoenix for our vacation we were unable to pack our own flotation devices and I would've loved to see them provided by the park. It could be that they have them available in other ares of the park where I didn't see them but I can't confirm. Overall it was a great experience and I'm excited for many more visits here on future vacations!

Seems like just about every other water park, there is a fee for everything, the food is definitely less than desirable, the lines are long and the seating is first come first serve. We paid for the VIP cabana, and received zero service, which isn't what is advertised. We had to hunt down someone if we wanted anything and even then we didn't get any service. The cabanas are old and dingy and ours had a pile of trash in the corner behind our storage box. The storage box had what smelled like sewer water in it, so rent at your own risk. Also, the tv that was in the cabana did not work, so why have it... Seemed that half the rides were closed, we couldn't even just relax on the lazy river. I would say that at this time it definitely isn't worth the money to visit but hopefully that changes. The main attraction takes a minimum of an hour wait time for a 45 second ride, the wave pool was over crowded and the rope was about half way back from the back where the waves start. Fortunately, most of the stairs were covered for shade and some had misting systems. We made the best of it and created our own fun but wished they could have had more things running. I should emphasize, bring your own food and drink. One other note, they don't have lids or straws and every time we ordered a large drink, they were conviently out of the large cup after they took your money. The stuff they serve wouldn't even be served at the worst fast food restaurants...

Hurricane Harbor Phoenix sits five minutes from I-17 in Phoenix off of the Pinnacle Peak exit. This park is a chill spot to escape from the valley’s summer heat. The park has everything you need to have a good time. All sorts of foodie treats and icy slushes help you beat the heat. As for the slides there’s something for everyone with younger kids having Coconut Bay to splash their day away. As for us more daring tubers, there are the Serpentine slides or the Tornado Twister which was my favorite slide. There are race sliders and covered tube slides, open top slides, each super fun! There’s lockers, covered seating first come first served of course. This is a cashless park so FYI. I found out the hard way. A wave pool, huge slash pads, and a lazy river…need i go on?! If you need to escape the summer heat in Phoenix, six flags might just be what you need to cool off. Have fun.

This place was really cool, except for the long lines. I can say with certainty that I spent 75% of my time in line, 20% of my time on actual slides, and 5% of my time traveling between the slides to wait in the next line. I would totally come here again though, because my kid had a great time and never seemed to notice that the lines were too big. If she didn't notice, then who am I to complain? Overall, I had a wonderful experience today. On a side note, some fences needed to be fixed up or even replaced, because I swear some of them look exactly the way they did when I was a kid. Sometimes a new paint job just isn't enough. If you haven't been here, then you have to come here just to say you did. What better thing is there to do in Phoenix than hit up a water park in July?

I bought season passes for my family thinking it would be a good investment to beat the heat in Phoenix during the summer. Terrible investment. From the beginning of summer to mid-September we’ve came out 10-12 times. There are never enough life guards to keep attractions open. I’ve never seen the lazy river open, not once. Splash island is a glorified splash pad with 7 water slides of various lengths for young kids. I’ve never seen more than 3 open at one time. Paradise Island is a big pool area. It’s open about 50% or the time but closes randomly throughout the day, I assume because the life guards go on break/lunch. Snack vendors are a toss up whether you’ll see them open. Hopefully you don’t get hungry or thirsty because food and drinks are some of the most expensive I’ve seen at a park. It’s on Disneyland’s level. To make it worse, the last time I got drinks they were about of everything but a couple of choices. I think all they had was sprite the last time I went. They have water coolers set up at places but they get empty fast and never had ice in them to begin with so the water is hot, if there’s any left when you check. Overall terrible experience every time I’ve been. Save your money.

This place seems to have a great family atmosphere. As one would enter the facility with the security checks and bag checks , which I'm not disputing at all. As you leave the security is lacking in a huge way, especially as a parent is concerned, if you have a small child a wrist band that matches with a parent as the both are to leave would be a huge upgrade. But as is any child could go as please. Also for the price of admission one would think that all the attractions would be open. Or for that matter a restroom that would smell better than any J John in the middle of summer. Literally the most unclean and most pungent smelling restrooms I've ever witnessed. And I say it as in more than one. The paradise cove area is very nicely done. And great ventalation in bathrooms. But if your going to open a new area and spend a lot of money, upgrade your current attractions and open the ones you already have instead of shutting down so many other attractions that people pay to experience. My family will give the benefit of the doubt and try a place out many times. But save your family the exuberant prices and hour long wait times. If you think over crowding and over pricing is a great time, try the lake.

We love the one in LA but went here and nothing really open on a Saturday no waves in wave pool lazy river closed and only one food place open they don’t even have sunscreen for sale which is not very smart business for a water park. Will not be returning to this location it just doesn’t meet the six flags experience expectations. If we were not pass holders would have demanded a refund as it is very disappointing after a three hour drive down.

The staff was very friendly, we went on a weekday and it wasn’t too busy and neither were the lines too long, and with the compact design of the water park we were able to go on all of the rides a few hours before the park closed. We had even come in a little after they opened. The rides were a blast as well, I do wish we got to use the pool and lazy river but an incident had occurred that resulted in both being closed for the remainder of that day. The food was also very delicious and the portions were decently sized. We don’t live close but it was definitely worth the drive.

Great place, a little expensive but worth it if you get the season pass. Plenty for small kids too. Could use more shaded areas, more seating and especially more of the mats on the ground near the slides for kids- if you don’t wear your shoes you will definitely burn your feet! Food and drink lines are really long and slow. Get in line early- the order ahead feature doesn’t work at this location. Also- they don’t have Apple Pay or Samsung pay which you would think they would have at a place like this where pockets are at a minimum.

So let me start off by saying this is a great place to go cool off in this Arizona heat! The best way is to take advantage of early bird pricing for season passes. They’ll pay for them selves after three visits. The kiddos will be tired at the end of the day which is always a plus for parents haha. They have beer on tap for us adults and have plenty of seating. The line can get lengthy with a minimum 30 minute waiting for the bigger slides. The only reason I don’t give it five stars is the restrooms they can use some attention. Other than that it’s a great time to spend the day with the family.

Thank goodness there’s alcohol!! Just kidding….(but yes there’s alcohol) They only accept cards, no cash Which I get, being a water park. We went really early in the season, so it wasn’t crazy hot yet. Staff was friendly and, except for the kiddie pool (which lets be honest, what are we expecting here), the water was completely clean. The kids attraction just had to be shut down for a while cause someone threw up in the water. But!! Fantastic attraction. It’s got some great slides to choose from and us moms got to hang out in the sun a while when the time came 😏 Just make sure to bring that card for the food!! And be prepared to pay some Six Flags food prices Worth the trip for sure though!

This is an awesome place to spend with kids during the harsh summer in Phoenix. The water is clean and well maintained. All the rides are also safe. My kids loved this place, our fav thing to do here was lay in the lazy river pool. The food served here can be better; there was a long queue and we had to wait 45 minutes to place our order.

Starting off from the gate it's $15.00 to park, No other theme park or attraction in Arizona charges for parking, except the annual state fair. Fun waterpark overall. Needs minimal maintenance throughout the park, might be due to the shortage of help. That also affects the availability of lifeguards available to supervise each slide in the jungle gym area and other slides throughout the park. Which turns into multiple areas being closed either due to no help available or slides just being closed for repairs. Fast food is your typical theme park fare; hot dogs, burgers, and multiple food truck style vendors. Icees, sodas, and beer available. Pepsi products and Budweiser for beverages. Was pretty busy for a Tuesday but school is out so it's expected.

My daughter came for a visit and we took her here on Saturday September 9th. We purchased tickets in advance, which we were able to avoid the lines to walk right in with no wait. Several of the rides were closed due to shortage of lifeguards, which was disappointing. This made the lines for the other rides quite long. Temperature outside reached 112 degrees, so needless to say it was miserable standing in the long lines. We spent most our time in the wave pool, which only a portion was open due to shortage of lifeguards. The lazy River was another ride that was closed. I rated my experience at Hurricane Harbor 3 stars, In my opinion this would have been a better experience had all the rides been operational, and temperatures were cooler. I would definitely suggest going on a day with the temps being below 100, and when all rides are operating.

Great place for family fun. Whent on a Tuesday so it wasn't extremely busy. Still had lines of 10-45 min de0ending on the ride. Reserved the east lawn chairs, but we could have just gotten the regular chairs for free (plenty available in the morning), but first come, first served and wanted to play it safe. Lockers were easy to reserve. We will for sure be back.

Overall we had fun. Some of the attractions.werent open. I am not sure if this was a maintenance issue or a staffing issue. Either way I have hopes they will get them all open soon. The wave pool wasn't functioning which was the most disappointing. I definitely recommend buying the seasonal pass if you plan on going more than once.

Pros: 1- The slides are fun, and there is something for all ages. I would say this is great for families with young children since the play areas are centrally located. 2- The food is overpriced as always, but the food was pretty good and had large portions. 3- Little kid slides have very short lines that move quickly, and they have a ride that replicates an adult ride, kid size. They are close in proximity, giving young children an exciting experience. Cons: 1- You are paying for EVERYTHING. general parking is $21.75. The cheapest food option was a cheese pizza slice (1 slice was the size of 3 domino's slices) $14.99. Lockers are an additional charge. 2- There are rafts for the lazy river, but they are very few, and most people were forced to rent a raft for an additional charge, or you can walk the lazy river. 3- The lines for the rides are LONG! At Sumsplash, there are multiple lifeguards at the top and bottom of rides, prepping for the next rider, blowing up rafts, and making sure there is a raft available for the next 2 riders, and checking height requirements. This makes the lines move much faster. We waited in line at Hurricane Harbor for over an hour around 2 pm. At 10:30, you can try to get through as many rides as possible if. 4- The wave pool is a bit of a joke. It is a good size, and there are life jackets available ( they are a bit if a mess). But I only saw the "waves" turn on once. Waves only come from the left corner of the pool, making hardly any waves. I'm not sure if the middle and right side are broken or if they just don't utilize it, but it was quite the letdown for our family. Overall, I would say it wasn't worth it for our family, especially for the price. If they fixed a few things, it would be a much better experience. We do not plan on going back.

Bought season passes because they were similar in price to one day at other water parks in the valley. You get what you pay for, though. The water was filthy at the end of every slide. Lines took 30-45 min to get through. The wave pool was just a pool where the water gently sloshed from side to side, giving you motion sickness, but never creating waves. Lots of deflated tubes, which explained the long lines. The food was ridiculously expensive - $37 for a 12 oz refillable cup or $7 per drink, $15-20 per plate. Eat before you come or eat at the strip mall down the road. If you love thrills and adrenaline inducing rides, you might enjoy it more. The slides are definitely thrilling! Too intense for my sensory sensitive kid, though. He spent most of his time on Splash Island (kids playground) and Adventure Bay (lazy river). We'll go one more time to get our money's worth, but we're going back to the other water park on our side of the valley next year.

Me and my children love wet and wild. Although the lines are the thing that takes up most of ur time waiting but sole rides the wait is worth it. The unlimited drink option is very disappointing as some drinks run out quickly. The food is overpriced like any other water park. And not good at all. The only thing that's good is the icecream. I love the fact that the water park has 3 different toddler parks to go to. It may be a walk but once u get to where u r going then that's that. The restrooms are not so far from where u are sitting. The employees are nice. And the park itself is a water park. Very wet very hot and mosquitoes r not very friendly...

When we went the lazy river wasn't open, they opened it for like the last 20 min of the night. The food is crazy expensive so prepare for that. This was our little man's first water park, and he loved it, so that's really all that matters to us. There is plenty there for older kids, which mine took full advantage of, but the Littles aren't left out at all. There is a whole side of the park for them with miniature water slides, and other rides.

This place could be better. We prepaid for a cabana. We had to stand in line with people buying drinks. That took 20 minutes. There should have been 2 lines. Everything else was fine.

We got season passes, which is nice because they can get pricey if you don't have one. It does have some good slides that are super fun. The wave pool is a great area to just chill at and enjoy the water. So far, each time I've been this summer, the lazy river is never opened. I must just not have any luck going on the days that it is open, if it has been. Every time I've gone, something has been closed. Even at one of the kid sections, not all the slides are opened. Food/drinks are way overpriced. However, the atmosphere, the slides, and the water make it all worth it to go and just enjoy yourselves!

Took my kid here while we were on vacation. Had an amazing time. It is expensive especially if you eat there. We went as soon as they opened and lines were long but the waterslides are worth the wait. The employees were friendly including the security guard that checks your bag at the entrance.

Hurricane Harbor has always been a place to get out of the heat and cool off from all the summer sunwaves! I always have enjoyed going and being able to relax and just enjoy the moment. It’s great for individuals, couples, friends, and familys!!! Plenty to do for the little ones and a great way for them to get out all that built up energy!!! I highflying recommend checking it out if you haven’t already! There is food and alcohol sold on site, as well as smoking areas and plenty of places to sit/lay and relax! 4/5 stars!!!

Yesterday was my first time attending and it was so much fun! We went for Memorial Day weekend and they had fireworks. The lines were moderately long but not terrible. It is $30 for one day but $60 for the season pass. I recommend getting the season pass if you live in the area and think you may go more than once. I’ve attached a photo of the heights regulations for children. Update: I’ve gone three times now and it’s awesome!!!! LOVE the pass and it’s so much fun.

It was so hot but we loved it. They do their best to accommodate the patrons during these excessive heat temperatures. Management came and checked on us a couple of times that was very much appreciated. We had a great time and will be back.
