I've been only once or twice and it has a little bit of everything ! It has play areas for basketball, baseball, volleyball, tennis, and soccer. any activities involves the skies might be blocked due to multiple high trees; kite flying and any drone activity. It has a playground for the kids and also a obstacle course for adults. And as a side note, dog park is near by too.

I came to the dog park a couple times, very good size for big dogs, they even have a little pool/watering area for the dogs....One thing I don't understand about some dog owners, they come to the park and get upset when other dogs play around with their dogs. & some owners are cliquey... I say stay home or go at a less active time if you are going to isolate your dog and get mad at the other dogs for wanting to play..other than a couple of dog owners the park is great for dogs all sizes..

Washington Park is not a bad park at all . It's quiet it's fairly clean for the most part there's a lot of things for kids to do and there's also a dog park that's part of it that seems to be pretty popular. The only complaint I would have is that the bathrooms do not work and they have not for some time so they have the porta potties there and we all know how those are or I should say how gross they are there are some homeless people that stay on the outside edges but with my experience I haven't seen any incidents or them bothering anybody in fact I think they should just be left alone because they're just enjoying the park just like anybody else. Park rangers come through every once in awhile and I see the city maintenance working on it to keep it nice so I would give it three stars this time when some of the other things are fixed I would be inclined to give it four or five stars

This park is huge. They've got a large and small dog park with water fountains for dogs. The dog park is by the tennis courts. They also have a bitchin adult playground fitness course. It's like a mini ninja warrior set

This park has 2 large grassy areas with one for large dogs and one for small dogs. Most of the post owners here are very nice and watch their pets.

The park is great for my fur babies. Clean, green and comfortable. Lots of room for the little ones to run. Safely fenced to keep the larger dogs on thier side. Only too many homeless laying around the actual park. Some bother you for money.

Very happy with this park! First and foremost the grass is GREEN ( AHHHHH) I was driving past this park a couple of months ago and it is an urban paradise for kids! Obstacle course, zip line, pool and more! Wow! Kudos to the city of glendale!

Great place for family reunions. Except for when you have to use the restroom; the restrooms are closed, though they do have Porta potties (2) - expect to wait because people like to sit in them for quite some time.

this is a fun park to play pokemon go at. One must be more vigilant here than at other city parks, but i haven't experienced anything bad myself. It can get busy after school and if the kids being mean to each other bothers you, might wanna avoid. Nice spacious dog parks and the park is well maintained...

This was a nice place to take the children. What would have made it better is some water fountains around the park and coverings over the jungle type playground equipment. The kids got tired quickly because of the heat.

This is a large family park that offers something for everyone! Kids playgrounds, tennis & basketball courts, and dog parks for large and small dogs. There is also a nice wide sidewalk path running throughout the park tying all of the places together.

I still think this is a great park, however they need to provide more picnic tables and benches throughout the park available instead of removing more.

  • 5/5 Steven B. 2 years ago on Google
The local people enhance this park , it's a huge park with water stations & buckets under shaded areas with chairs or benches .... Lot's of running around room Plus other dogs 😅 ... Check schedule for irrigation because the park is locked up for those couple of days...💪❤️👍😎

Good ball fields.. good dog park.. lots of homeless

  • 5/5 Taryn R. 2 years ago on Google
Very nice(but slightly confusing) walking path. The park is currently being irrigated so much of it is flooded but I enjoyed walking around for some exercise. Great place for kids to play and to bring your furry friend. Currently the dog park portion is flooded but it's fun watching the dogs play when it's open. A nice local park.

Washington park is a decent place to go to for your family oriented outings, birthdays, reunions, sport events, potlucks, community get-togethers or even just to talk a nice walk with your family and the family dog. P.S. they have a wonderful three section dog park with water fountains and doggy water pools and all the tennis balls your furry friend could ever dream of!

  • 4/5 Jessica P. 9 months ago on Google
While there are homeless here, they keep to themselves and are not trouble. I feel safe coming here in the early morning alone for a walk. Many walkers and runners using the paths. The playground is quiet and clean. The dog park is always busy. A wonderful little park that is well loved by it's community.

This park is one of the very few in Phoenix that has shade trees in the parking lot located where you can park under them. Shade is important when every day it's over 115 for months on end. With 4 separated parking lots you can usually find some shade to park or if your on bike or on foot there's plenty of shaded areas for you to escape that inferno. Also has tennis courts, a dog park and plenty of things for your kids or yourself to do while your there.

Nice size park. The homeless population here fluctuates but has been getting lighter as well as trash left behind. The main issue we run into here is dog owners think they are above rules and refuse to put their dogs on leashes all around the park (even outside the fenced dog park area) instead they hold the leashes in their hands while their dogs roam aimlessly. We have a large pit bull terrier that isn't very friendly with other male dogs and have had a few instances where these idiots dogs have run up on our dog both while walking and while riding a bicycle. Now imagine how difficult it can be to control a dog that is only 20-30 lbs lighter than you and solid as a rock. I have been pulled completely off my bike at times and even had a couple of accidents that have permanently damaged my bike and if I say anything to the dog owners they typically laugh and don't even try to ask about my well-being or offer assistance. In some cases have even had those owners get upset with me as though my dog was the one running up on them. 🤔🤦 beside that the bathrooms have been locked up pretty consistently for the last year with port-a-potties as a substitute. Used to be pretty busy at night but since the cold has set in it has been super quiet after about 10 pm.

This is an amazing park! The homeless are so friendly and most times the city keeps the restrooms unlocked. Sometimes the park enforces a no-drug use policy—and it can be pretty strict. Even so, sometimes people might still be burning fentanyl in private, but it's a TON better than doing it in the open around children. I highly recommend this park to anyone who needs a place to relax during hot summer days!

  • 1/5 Beda N. 1 year ago on Google
My kids absolutely LOVE this park. Unfortunately homeless have taken over. They are taking over the park. It wouldn't be a problem they are humans, and understand we can all fall on tough times ,but many are mentally unsatble or on drugs which makes me fear for my safety and my kids safety.

This is a good community biased place with regularly clean b rooms, and plenty of shade. A vast place to picnic, exercise, or just to walk, run the dog, or take time to unwind.

This park is awesome... I really hope some fixes one of the equipment pieces, last time I was there I was super bummed it was out of commission. It's clean, I was really happy about that the last few times I was there. The parcore? Course is my favorite, my kids LOVE it! Great dog park and excellent tennis courts and coaches!

Love the dog park! But it's sad that the rest of Washington Park suffers from lack of maintenance. And why are the Porta Potties AND the public restrooms roped off?

  • 5/5 Matthew P. 1 year ago on Google
I was hanging out here on the night of Maha Shivaratri. Very large, comparable in size to Hance Park downtown. Very well kept. I was sitting and doing Japa and wasn't bothered by anyone. There are vagrant encampments near by but I didn't see any in the park. All good there, would revisit.

Beautiful. For kids, adults, dogs! They have a wonderful dog park for both small and large dogs. and there are common community members that go to the dog park every weekend and assist in socializing others' dogs, such as mine! I wholeheartedly appreciate that thank you so much! It's a beautifully big Park that are all types of amenities, such as a pool for summertime, tennis courts for the avid tennis player, obstacle courses for children, both young and growing, as well as a lovely walking path throughout. Enjoy and relax...

As unpolluted and open, shaded and green as a park in a large cement jungle in the middle of a desert can be. Now if it had a duck pond and a 50 foot high water spout and cascading fountain I would have gave it 5 stairs.
