A beautiful Mon style temple, with a number of teak wood buildings. The more than 100 years old murals in the main temple building are amazing. There is a museum within the grounds, open on Saturdays & Sundays. Admission to the museum is Baht 10.- pp.

This temple has one of the best mural paintings in Thailand. Definitely worth a visit if you come to Photharam, Ratchaburi.

Wat Khongkaram, Photharam, Ratchaburi : The outstanding feature of this temple is the murals which are no less than 250 years old, written in the early Rattanakosin period. which tells the story of the Lord Buddha's history when Mara fought, pictures of different levels of heaven , Buddha history and Buddhist Jataka etc. You can pay attention to the details of many of these paintings. Cool little museum. Very old temple. Very active with monks and locals. I enjoyed my visit, but nothing blew me.away about it. Perhaps that's mindfulness tho?
