Some people say that this farm should not exist and the animals should be free. But i will say You have same cattle farms, but you take care of that animals to eat them. Noone eats elephants here. We have to accept the fact that elephants can be domestic. And they don't feel bad about it. Small ones are walking around the territory. People are very nice. They are watching big ones, taking them on the rides to stretch the legs. Yess, most of animals are chained. But that is needed for both security people and elephant. And if you like these beautiful animals, you can stay there like in a hotel. And give the help you can give. I am disappointed that i found it out too late. I would like to stay. P. S. The farm is to the right behind the pavilion

This was a surprise, elephants and a monument. Yes the adults are chained, but this is so u can get close to feed them. Several babies, also a good sign. This is also free, and u can buy g od for 50baht to feed the elephants. A definite go to for me. I have seen wild elephants and while nothing beats that, this was a close encounter!

Sorry to say but I came here and expected elephants living behind a fence and not with a chain arround there leg. It's horrible to see those amazing animals looked up on a chain with no more room than a few meters to turn arround.

Shame on all tourists who are endorsing this horrible profitable company. You are 100% responsible for these poor elephant abuses, only for your stupid Instagram pictures or videos. If I could be an elephant for a second, I'll make sure to drop you on the hot asphalt. TO NEW TOURISTS, DO NOT SUPPORT THIS SLAVERY. EDUCATE YOURSELF FIRST.

I can’t believe that in the 21st century Thailand, in this beautiful fast pace developing country elephant rides are still permitted. Those absolutely majestic and extremely intelligent creatures need to be tamed and tortured first to be able to be used for the pleasure of the humans. Do you really think elephants are enjoying carrying humans all day? This is absolutely unethical and sad at the same time. PLEASE DO NOT support ABUSE of the animals. Spend your money and energy to support ethical elephant sanctuaries throughout the country, that actually take care of them. Be the one who raises awareness for other tourists so this can come to an END.

If you love elephants and want to see them being taken care of, this is the place to go to. Playing with baby elephants will be an added bonus.

The last Royal Kraal in Thailand - UNESCO heritage destination worth visiting. Pop over to the village next door to see the baby elephants

Horrible place with chained elephants for the fun of brainless tourist and the pockets of some animal exploiters. Don't contribute with this abuse. If you want to see elephants, do your homework and investigate about real sanctuaries who care about the health of the animals.

Rather bizarre and sad place. When we walked up to the chained elephants, there was not a human around. There must have been over 30 elephants, all you can stand next to. Available food cost 200 baht. We stayed for 10 minutes. We did not go to the nearby village. Perhaps we missed the best part.

Don't support such "entertainment ". I strongly recommend educating yourself beforehand on the methods used to train these animals from infancy.

elephant corral It is the place for catching elephants in front of the royal palace. It originally used to use the area next to Chandrakasem Palace. Until the reign of King Maha Chakkraphat, it was moved to its present location.

Visited it in the evening when there was no one there. Not for elephant rides! For viewing of baby elephants and mothers. 50 baht to feed/take pictures. Take a tuk tuk from the centre of town. Knowledgeable volunteers if you find the right one. These are where working elephants are trained/cared for.

Most of the elephants are chained. Just the little ones were free to walk around their parents. There is no entry fee. Worth a visit if you like elephants.

It’s so disheartening that you would abuse elephants and chain them up. Please, please consider giving them a more free, ethical life.

This place takes good care of their elephants. The elephants are chained for their safety living in the city. There are many grass fields in the vicinity so the elephants are taken to safe spots to eat and then to the river for a swim twice a day or more. During the heat of the day nothing happens, it is too hot! Activity happens early morning or late afternoon when it is more comfortable for them and their humans. These elephants are so calm!

Don't visit this place of cruel elephants and exhibits of poor elephants moment by moment until they die for money. This is not a free space for elephants, everything is a lie. Shows only for people and tourists. They say they have free elephants with less contact with humans, but that is not true. Don't go there, please, don't contribute to these filthy and inhuman business where elephants are tormented. Tourists are the main culprits for the suffering of poor tormented elephants, because they give money to have fun like that.

Do not visit this place, a place of cruelty to poor elephants, where poor souls are tormented moment by moment to obey. It is unreal how cruel, ignorant, sadistic and evil the human species is! It is unrealistic and shameful to allow such atrocities against the poor innocent animals of the 21st century! It is unreal how people are capable of such atrocities, this shows the lack of empathy, humanity, civilization, lack of human kindness! Local shame, the government of this country for allowing such cruelty to poor animals. It's a whole mafia with poor animals. Only ignorant tourists are the most guilty because they visit such places, countries that exploit and torture animals, pay money to those who keep them slaves and torture them every day for money. You can have fun on a vacation without riding the poor animals or having fun when you see them tortured and juggled to entertain tourists. Stop visiting such places, countries where animals are exploited, tortured ... there is no animal tourism, or animal shows so that they are not tormented to obey, to be on horseback ... Stop the cruelty of poor innocent souls. Show that you are human. In these videos you see what life is like for poor souls ...
