Entrance Fee: 50 Bath (included in the Ayutthaya Ticket Park - 220 Bath) It’s next to the complex with the Buddha Head statue in the tree, but this complex is in much much better shape as you can recognize old decoration, style and pagodas are completes. The main attraction is the pagoda in old Khmer style (you can climb and enter actually, so bring a torch if you’re interested). There is a excellent photo right at you enter the complex (only in the morning)

Another temple on the list. There's an entrance fee or you can buy the group ticket where you visit like 6 temples. The highlight of this site is that you can actually climb up the tower and see the view from above.

The usual ancient ruins, what this ruin stand out from the others Is, this was the place Bon Jovi shot their hit song "this ain't a love song" at.

Wat Ratchaburana is a Buddhist temple in the Ayutthaya Historical Park, Ayutthaya, Thailand. When I first saw it, I realized that it was a sacred place to visit in my lifetime. When I reached its highest area, I could see the view of the temple. A must-see.

Wat Ratchaburana is a very unique temple with its founding story and whatnot contains. It was founded in 1424 by King Borommarachathirat II of the Ayutthaya Kingdom and built on the cremation site of his two elder brothers. The two brothers had fought to their deaths in a duel for the royal succession to their father Intha Racha. It’s also a sad story of how wars rip of history and cultures. It’s remains to remind us of what we miss forever in armed conflicts.

Wat Ratchaburana is one of the most popular temples in Ayutthaya Historical Park. At the end of the high season (beg. in March 2023) the place was not very busy in the late morning. About clothing code - guards did not say anything about my shorts and sandals. I recommend to take a cap or hat because there is a lot of walking in the sun. In the front of the temple, on the another side of the road there is Homglin, a nice cafe with Thai desserts. You can sit there and admire the view of temple.

This is really unvalued. Nothing to say more than thanks for preserving this meaningful and beautiful historical place. In one of views, it can tell us the long history through happened events.

The third temple is located just across the road from Mahathat. Most famous for its recently restored main prang that you can actually climb and enjoy some views of the town. Also, don't forget to take a picture of the central prang through the main door. It just looks right. :) Entrance 50 baht. more on my Youtube channel Lex Universe :)

I love this place as compared to the others in Ayutthaya. Right from the entrance to the interior. It could be also because it is one of the most well preserved one left around there. The pics are self-explanatory :) The walk right up to the pagoda already makes you like this place. The long hallway/courtyard that used to be. Inside the pagoda, you can go right down via a flight of very steep steps. Might be challenging for some. Must go if you are there - you can skip the rest, but not this one.

Great ruins of yesteryear and the ancient capital of Ayutaya. Beautiful to walk around and imagine it as it once would have stood. Step still enable access to the highest point which offers great views down onto the ruins. Well worth a visit and at new year entrance was free but recommend going early to avoid the crowds

We enjoyed our visit here, there are some ramps for access, the cost was 50baht. The views are great from the temple and it is located in Ayutthaya historic Park with several other Wat's. You will find this located next to Wat Mahathat. The tall pagoda can be climbed. But be careful. 3btraveler

Enterance fee 50 Baht for foreigner. Can be pretty hot during the day but they provide the umbrella for free. It's the Buddish temple. The temple is broken because of the war. You can still walk around and enjoy the view.

Of the six temples on the combo entry ticket, this one was definitely worth a visit. I'll let my photos tell the story. One note - there were ramps for those in a wheelchair to access the main part of the temple grounds.

This is another large Buddist temple ruin located in Ayutthaya historic Park. This beautiful site is located right next to wat mahathat. There is a hill like pagoda that can be climbed up to pagoda. Tourists must be very careful while climbing up. The view from the top is very charming. A huge green grassfield with red ruins can be viewed. For foreigners entrance fee is 50 baht, 10 for locals.

What to say? It's a UNESCO world heritage site. Huge temple grounds, well maintained. There is another "next door" and many around the old city. Worth a ramble; much to see and marvel at.

It is the most interesting and beautiful place to see the scenery among the ruins of Ayutthaya. It's different, but I think this is the best than recommended

This place was the first temple I visited in Ayutthaya and is located just next to Wat Mahathat. It has an enormous prang which got restored recently, and you can climb it up right now! The views are extraordinary here!

  • 5/5 Thaveesha C. 1 year ago on Google
Built in 14th century the architecture of the central tower or prang and how well it was preserved even today, was the highlight. You could actually climb and go inside the prang's crypt.

This particular temple ruins surrounded by very positive energy. Cool buildings layout. Very peaceful place. Get a guide to explain about temple and its history. Must visit place in Ayutthaya city. Temple has a history related to Indian mythology. Only temple in Ayutthaya city where you can go inside the stupa. Rest all temples are closed and prohibited to enter.

In Naresuan road, next to 7-eleven to buy bus ticket from ayuthaya to bangkok, sukhothai, chiang mai. You should make a reservation to in advance if you plan to go the next morning. The ticket counter is open from 9.00 am. If you go to chiang mai, sukhothai, you will have to take a tux tux or grab to the bus station, which is more than 6km away.

Beautiful, 100% recommended. If you want to visit more than 5 historical places, buy the multiple ticket, it cost TBH 220, it's valid for all the temples and you can use it for 30 days (normally each temple cost TBH 50)

Visit there in October last year with my family, one of the ancient temples in Ayutthaya you should visit. We went there on weekdays in the evening, when there weren't a lot of people and it was perfect weather to walk and look around the temple. It seems like many foreign tourists would like to visit this temple because I met quite a lot on that day. Not to mention, I also got to meet this little cutie 😻 It's possible to drive a personal car and park on the side of the road in front of the temple though it may be a bit hard to find a parking spot when there are a lot of people visiting so another transportation option is to hop a three-wheeled vehicle.👍🏼
