We came in June 2022. Hotel service is always great in Thailand, especially this time our suitcase zipper broke, Mr.Pong from the concierge was super helpful to offer different options and the suitcase was fixed and returned to our room on the same day. Bangkok was hot during the day and heavy rain for an hour everyday, clothes can get very sweaty even jus out for a quick lunch, glad the room has washing machine and dryer! Big plus to the hotel! Not enjoyed too much with the pool design with tiles in green, made it look like a dirty pond, occasionally see hair bands n other objects at the bottom of the pool. If the hotel going for renovation in the future, pick blue tiles would be more appropriate. Only one hook was available in the bathroom, it’s not possible to hang used body towels to save earth as the sign suggested. No rail for hand towels either so cleaners had to refresh all towels everyday even i wanted to help on sustain environment. The mattress, couch and chairs require a deep steam clean, they made my skin got very itchy for a few days, bugs attack! Basic room hygiene should still remain after covid!

Room was nice. Functional and conducive but the backsliding in professional services makes it an unpleasant and disappointing stay! Missing all the essential items where normally every Marriott Apartments would provide! Bare minimum toiletries. No vanity kits; absolutely nothing! A cheap looking white box toothbrush which is nothing like the Marriott standards. No dishwashing kit. Not even a small box of complimentary laundry detergent. No welcome drinks for Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite Member. I was here last year during the COVID era and yet everything was supplied and in place but yet; the staff now has the audacity to insist otherwise, that due to Covid they don’t provide such! Short of calling me a Liar. Came back to relax after the post Covid opening by the Government and to give a great feedback thereafter, but I am truly mistaken about it; since they have decided to amplify the severity of the Covid situation instead, probably to compensate for their deteriorating services.

I have overstayed my welcome with that big fat bellman and the front receptionist! They cannot even wait to collect money from me, the bellman decided to call reception to rush me to pay and without any hesitation the reception called me and demanded that I pay immediately. She made me feel so small and insignificant when she told me there are more important guests waiting and that they cannot entertain me. Am I not a Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite Member? How am I any less important than all the other guests? I guess all that services from the Heart is gone with the wind. Familiarity Certainly Breeds Contempt! She called me to ask for payments and I gladly obliged!!! While at it, I did like her to take down some important messages for me and who to call in case of an emergency! BUT THE OBNOXIOUS AND IMPERTINENT BELLMAN WOULD NOT EVEN ALLOW ME! THE FRONT RECEPTION CALLED UP TO DEMAND THAT I PAY IMMEDIATELY AND THAT THEY CANNOT ENTERTAIN ME WITH ANY OTHER MATTERS BECAUSE THERE ARE MORE IMPORTANT GUESTS WAITING!!! Eric Room 3202

This review is based on our 2nd stay (15-17 April 2022) at this fantastic hotel. Now, this new experience was different for us because my wife was bound to a wheelchair. Therefore, we looked at the facility and services in a different way. In addition we spent more time in the hotel having a chance to use more it's amenities and taste more it's food. I will begin by admitting that I failed to inform the hotel in advance of my wife's wheelchair-bound status as it affects accommodations requirements. Upon check-in we where greeted with the same courtesy as usual.  They provided a hotel-owned wheelchair in support of my wife. When we arrived to the room, it was small and with the furniture made it impossible to maneuver the wheelchair and the four suitcases. I called the reception to inform them of the situation and Khun Moji - strikes again! She immediately went to work. A few minutes later I received a called from Khun Praew offering to view another room they have found. Khun Moji showed me the new room and most definitely had more space to maneuver with the wheelchair and suitcases. I want to thank khun Moji and khun Praew not only for providing outstanding customer care, but for helping us having a pleasant stayed. I would like to highlight the concierge outstanding support of khun AE, Khun Bank, Khun Coco. We could not have made it so easy without their assistance and support.  Their care/assistance for my wife was extraordinary - helping her getting on/off taxis with the wheelchair chair and crushes; pushing the wheelchair around the hotel; helping us with the luggage and carry-on; with my wife's shopping delivery to the hotel; with trying to help us find a bag; and the list goes on. Having to spend more time in the hotel, we had the chance to eat more from MoMo Cafe and the pool bar. At the pool bar Khun Ged and Khun Golf were extremely good and helpful supporting my wife in the pool area. Fantastic service! At the MoMo Cafe the staff was excellent as well. Good food in both places. We really like their daily menu from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. They also have excellent pizzas. In short,  it was another wonderful experience with a different outlook as my wife was bound to a wheelchair - something that really showed the staff's true customer care. The staff definitely made it more pleasant for us considering my wife's limitations. Although the hotel doesn't see structured to support wheelchair-bound guests,  the hotel will accommodate hence my wife was able to access all the areas needed except the ladies toilets located in the lobby and in the pool area. The entrance design makes it very difficult for a wheelchair-bound guests to enter. We have made the Sathorn Marriott Executive Apartments our home in Bangkok.  We'll see you again likely in December 2022. Thanks!"

As a Marriott Platinum I was treated very well here. I got breakfast for 4 pax when I booked 2 bedroom suite. The food wasn’t the greatest but it has enough choices. We were offered late checkout 3pm even though it was not exactly part of Marriott and don’t get the full perks. Check out is 12pm for all members. No happy hour lounge. Room is very clean except the housekeeping don’t refill amenities daily. The bed is extremely comfortable and I checked their brand .. I had the best sleep in a very long time…. I was also offered 2 bottles of beer upon check in (choices between wine, beer and something else) There’s washer and dryer in the room.. plus a full kitchenette. Conveniently able to grab anywhere so we enjoyed and we were comfortable. Someone commented staffs couldn’t speak English which is ridiculous. Every staff had spoken to me in English which is understood by majority.

This hotel is for someone who is on a budget and want a guaranteed suite apartment at the same time If you have Marriott Elite Status then don’t stay here, there’s not much special treatment. Looks like It’s just an apartment with Marriott Licensing. In addition, the room is super dated with a strong old smell and dusted feel. The hotel looks like the early 2000s style (23 years ago) without renovation for a long long time. Cannot compare this property with other Marriott Hotel Brands in the city.

I am so disgusted and infuriated by the staffs Moji and Amy deliberately harassing and patronising me for my room number despite it being reflected on the telephone switchboard! Moji’s rebuttal to me was that she was just making sure if I remembered my room number correctly! It’s not what she say but how she said it! How ludicrous and preposterous can this get?!? Amy instead of apologising for Moji’s impertinence turned around and blamed me instead and then decided to play victim to circumstances they created! Amy’s obnoxious repugnance was astounding when she vehemently argued with me that it was no fault of hers and her colleague for refusing to deliver my items to my room! Even though the other staffs have done that numerous times without incident! Both of them, Moji and Amy’s unprofessional repugnance and abhorrently impertinent attitude is astounding! In all my years of Globetrotting throughout Marriott Chains of Hotels, I have Never encountered such defiance, disrespectfulness and abhorrently repugnant attitude such as both Moji and Amy! They’re a total disgrace, abominable and Liability to the Hospitality business! Totally destroyed my what was supposedly a pleasant and impeccable stay!

Staff and services are good. The breakfast is fair but the cleanliness is not very good that’s why I placed 3 stars. I stayed for 2 weeks but the room was not cleaned properly which was disappointing considering it’s a 5 star

Huge room and large living area with fully equipped kitchenette. Room are very clean with modern furnitures and large TV. Lots of parking with direct access to room elevator that require key card. Great breakfast buffet at coffee shop on ground floor. Easy access to main highway for excursions or just go around city. The building is surrounded by other high rise Bldg. So you would want to ask for room with the clear view of city.

Staff was very friendly and the location is good and convenient to get around. I got a huge room and it was generally clean. It could need some renovation though overall, the showers were very aged. The service in the cafe was very good and wide variety, the food quality though was not good. Upon arrival I got the choice for two soft drinks, beers or glasses of wine which was nice. They put the filled wine glasses into my room when I was gone though so when I came back it was warm and stale.

Mayfair has one of the greatest managements and staffs but yet; they want to shut it down! They should shut down the Marriott Surawongse instead! The Marriott Surawongse has the worst management and staffs any guests would encounter! In all my 40 years of travelling I’ve never ever encountered any hotel’s staffs as vicious and vindictive enough to adamantly want to destroy the life and victimise their guests as this Marriott Hotel Surawongse! Though nothing was broken, missing nor removed or stolen from the hotel’s premises; the hotel’s management and staffs have the audacity to distort the facts and accused their long term guest who has been staying with them for a few years now, of committing a crime of trespassing in their public area! Second floor lobby of the conference hall doesn’t require a key card to access, the same goes for the third floor dining hall and hence; anyone can have access to the said premises. However, access to the M Club on the 31st floor, Recreational Facilities and Guest Rooms all require the use of the keycard! Hence, only checked in or registered guests can have access! Now I was in neither of those private areas of the Hotel and why would I subject myself to such embarrassment by entering without a keycard especially when I have not checked in yet? The ludicrous accusation of trespassing by those staffs are baseless, vicious, vile and vindictive! A means to an end to strike and discredit the integrity of their guests! The reason behind that I gave them a one star reviews on both occasions through the social media platforms for their nonchalant and unprofessional service attitude. After which the management and staffs repugnance to nick pick on the slightest insignificant issue and made a mountain out of a mole’s hill, by reporting to the local police that I was trespassing! Convinced the Police to issue a warrant for my arrest after 2 months or so; without making any attempt to at least communicate with me first and try to settle things amicably; but instead blow the entire situation totally out of proportion! On that particular fateful night at the airport, I lost my flight to Japan and my upcoming hotel’s reservation in Fukuoka. Arrested and thrown into a filthy prison cell for two days without food nor access to cleaning myself! THIS IS AMOUNTING TO MALICIOUS PROSECUTION BY THE MARRIOTT HOTEL THE SURAWONGSE! Now, the merciless management and staffs of the Marriott Surawongse continue to taunt, manipulate and connive further charges on me, your marriott bonvoy gold member of many years without incident!!! I implore all of you to avoid this precarious hotel at all costs because you don’t know when they’ll turn around and bite the hands that feed them! In this totally ludicrous and preposterous malice prosecution by Marriott Hotel Surawongse, they literally extirpated my entire life! I can’t return home for Christmas and I’m stuck in Thailand for the battle of my life! They want to take my life! This is not a hospitality business but Hell! It’s imperative that all of you my brethren travellers to avoid this dangerous hotel at all costs! Or suffer the same fate as me!

My recent stay was an experience I am eager to share. From the moment we checked in to our departure, the level of hospitality and service we received was nothing short of exceptional. The hotel's commitment to guest comfort was evident throughout our stay. We were graciously upgraded to a Two Bedroom suite, the suite was well-appointed, clean, and offered all the amenities we could ask for. A special mention must be made of the hotel staff. Their attentiveness, professionalism, and willingness to go above and beyond were remarkable. They catered to our every need with a smile, making us feel valued and well-cared for. The highlight of our visit was the surprise birthday celebration arranged for my mother. The thoughtful decorations and delicious birthday cake provided by the hotel made her day truly special and unforgettable. The location of the hotel is also ideal, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bangkok and look forward to returning in the future.

The two-bedroom suite was spacious and fully equipped with all the household appliances: washer, dryer, and cooking utensils. Perfect stay for a family with two kids like us. The neighborhood was safe and pleasant, with a small night market and multiple eateries around. There was even a 1-star Michelin thai restaurant 5 min walk away, offering fine thai food. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay here again when travelling with the family. I stayed there for 4 nights, and the food was quite good and it never repeated itself.

I visit the restaurant- buffet MoMo Cafe on Saturday 10th June 2023, 8pm The place is very welcoming by staff named Emmy she was came down to ask if I had any reservation. Then ascot me to the table which is two options for me. Also she introduce me all the station food and beverages. I came for the fresh seafood line and when I saw food on ice they’re all looks good, varieties, fresh and filled full, cleanness. Also the chef came ask when I visit the pasta station, I had order Somtom and she server on the table. Staff at night shift are very nice helpful , great service, friendly and very clean they set up table very fast looks very nice. And definitely I will be back with my friends.

Spacious apartment. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful, decent breakfast. Some building construction right next door so no view for us. Some free shuttle to certain areas at different timing as the location of the hotel is not exactly near the bts or mrt. Need about 15 to 17 mins walk. So minus 1 star for that.

The team were very nice. We arrived quite late and check in was smooth. Breakfast was lovely too. There’s a great massage place with friendly cats close by and plenty to do and see in the area and the neighbourhood felt really safe.

I didn’t have any good experience in my stay. The only thing I can say positively is the staff politeness. My room was smelling (smoking or something else) but the staff didn’t help or even contacted me to follow up my complaint. In this price level you can get some better executives apartments in Sathorn. With less dated rooms, bigger pools and larger gym. Also, as a gold member, my room which was on a low floor with a view of the next (too close) building was very disappointing.

Excellent location and friendly, diligent staff. The apartments are well-appointed and some of the best I’ve seen in terms of amenities and storage space. The rooms felt a bit humid (17th) floor but this *is* Bangkok in the summer. I enjoyed my stay here.

We really like this hotel and have returned many times. It’s in a good location and they have two bedroom units that we like and the price is reasonable. The restaurant isn’t great but there are lots of great places to eat within walking distance. Friendly staff and the property is always clean.

I stayed in a 2 bedroom suite, Pros: Check in was easy, friendly staff. the room was quite large, and the master room had a bathtub in the bathroom. Marriott bonvoy members get complimentary drinks and cookies. WiFi  was strong. Sofa was clean and comfortable. In room washer and dryer available. I got laundry Detergent fro housekeeping. Very useful when I travel for many days. Microwave, Oven, coffee maker, toaster, dish washer machine, electric water cattle, paper towels , pts and pans....more ... Available in room . Cons. Security deposit was low battery. I couldn't use it. Other than that everything was perfect, I feel like my own house. I will come back here for sure. Marriott keep their satndard.. I m very happy to be a Marriott bonvoy member.

What a great hotel that Marriott has here in Bangkok. These are wonderful apartments and a great location. We cannot say enough good things about the people that work at this place. The restaurant has a lovely breakfast. We didn’t not eat other meals there so not sure if it but cannot imagine being bad. It was so nice to come back after a day of fun and relax here. There are also people that help arrange tours for you in the hotel and made our stay an unforgettable experience.

More quiet and cleaner than sukhumvit. Good to walk around in local community market not so far from hotel. Mrt is around 500 meter which is still acceptable as sidewalk is clean. Long term stay with big dog is acceptable which is rare in bkk

Our first stay at the hotel was great. We were a big group of about twenty including both young and elderly people. Room service was great. Food from the restaurant was good. Breakfast was good. The concierge and Housekeeping staff were so courteous and helpful. Hope our next stay will be as memorable.

Still a solid option if you want to have a bit of independence with the benefits of service in this location. The rooms are well maintained and the staff are exceptional. This trip I had a few problems in the room they were sorted very quickly with no fuss or disturbance.

The good part first. Front Desk staff is amazing. People are nice and dependable. MoMoCafe staff is also amazing. They try their best to make your stay enjoyable. Housekeeping is very effective and always ready to help with their concerned duties. That being said, comes the part that takes away the 5 stars the staff would earn this Marriot. I have been to other Marriot in Thailand. Hua Hin one is simply amazing. Courtyard in Pattaya is not as good but it is very nice. This one, even if we discount the fact that it is in the Sathorn, at a busy part of Thung Maha Mek, still not a reason to ignore certain things. Most rooms i saw have a terrible vista, as of my stay, it was a construction site, other building, and while I am not that much into vistas, it is still not built to dampen the sounds therefore it is a little noisy and walking around not that good of an experience. I asked for a high floor room, and got 12th floor, which is not that high, given that the specific intent was to avoid the noises I know to be a thing, as I lived years in the Thung Maha Mek "khwaeng", which would be like "sub district" for us in Brazil. The pool seems to have been added just to exist, as it seems to be "stuffed" in a varanda that originally wasnt meant to have a pool. The gym is not even comparable to the other Marriots I have seen. And it sometimes have the sun directly in your face while in some equipments. For me, not the sharpest sight in the town, the lift buttons have a bad color combination except for the one with wheelchair accessibility, which has white numbers. The other 2 elevators I simply cannot see the numbers and mostly have to go by counting or memorizing the positions.

Staff & service are both great but the rooms are dated and dirty. See the photos of what the chair looks like. Furniture in rooms should be steam cleaned between guests but clearly that's not happening. The Momo cafe in the hotel is alright, but breakfast isn't worth getting up for. Little recognition for Marriott Platinum guests.

  • 5/5 Summer S. 3 years ago on Google
Nice & Neat Hotel and full scale service apartments, locate in very downtown Bangkok, surrounded by office buildings along the road. This hotel contains Momo's Cafe on ground floor, which have buffet on Friday-Sunday. Worth a try.
