Bangla Boxing Stadium

Boxing ring

😐 The fights are entertaining but you soon realise after a while that it is a very touristy place. None of the locals are there to watch matches and it is just tourists. Also as a person with zero clue about boxing, some of the matches do seem rigged. There's a greater advantage to the foreign fight... People often mention fights, experience, stadium, Thai,

Tonight night, tonight night. You see Muay Thai, you see Thailand. Not bad, but I suspect some of the early fights with younger boxers are staged, there was a K.O. each fight apart from the title fights, and the K.O. looked suspiciously like it was acted out. It's good to see once but I would not pay to see this again. Way too overpriced.

The fights are entertaining but you soon realise after a while that it is a very touristy place. None of the locals are there to watch matches and it is just tourists. Also as a person with zero clue about boxing, some of the matches do seem rigged. There's a greater advantage to the foreign fighters and the local fighters are getting knocked out within round 1. There's also staff going around asking for bets. I'm not sure how skewed the odds are but I would suggest avoid betting because matches do look fixed. If you want to get in the ring to put garlands on players/give out the championship belt, the referees are willing to accept bribes to let you on. To add on, I went on a rainy evening and the stadium does let some rain in from the ceiling. Just something to take note of.

Good experience Most of the later fights are real but the early ones at times looked really staged. In saying that avoid betting as they seem really rigged. The location of the stadium is better than most as it’s in the middle of patong

First time going to Muay Thai or any striking physical contact sports. Wow that was pretty intense. One of the guys next to me collected some blood after one of the competitors. So yeah ring side VIP has some downsides as well. Night went from about 9pm to just on midnight. So $75AUD for 3 hours of entertainment was pretty good. Can't bring in drinks but they sell over priced ones there. Lots of lovely ring girls mainly from the crowd it seems. The atmosphere was incredible for one match between an Austrian and Israeli guy.

Good place with VIP and normal seating. Would recommend getting normal seats as VIP seats are all on same level, you may have to dodge some heads to get a clear view, closest most people to the ring would probably be getting all the sweat and blood from the fights. Normal seating is on the edges but has levels so you get a clear view. Ticket was 1500 thb per person and u get a free Muay Thai shirt. A cute dj girl too putting bangers between fights. 9 matches in 1 event, with 5/6 rounds. Gets done around 1130pm. Drinks n food are not allowed inside, although you can BUY drinks/beers inside, you may ask them to return ur bottles when leaving. I guess that's a money making part after buying the tickets too..

Overall nice experience for first timers watching traditional Muay Thai fights. Many fans all over the place to keep the place well ventilated. Drinks sold at higher prices.

One of a kind experience and very interesting way to understand Thai culture and people. You don't need to be an expert in martial arts to enjoy friendly and family-like atmosphere of the stadium and cheer for one of the fighters. Choosing the stadium sit (not the VIP one) will give you the better view and save you some money.

My favorite boxing stadium in Phuket. Excellent view and service at your seat everywhere, so ringside only recommended if you like some sweat in your face. First time i saw great fights, very intense with many knockouts, second time i saw a british bodybuilder grandpa beating up one poor old thai guy. Somewhere between a catfight and a bumfight... No matter the quality of the fights, the night was very entertaining!!

Very nice experience, a bit expensive but it is worth it. A must see experience for every tourist visiting

Went here on a whim, definitely not planned. But I was pleasantly surprised. Small venue. Not even half capacity. Fights started with little fighters and then went on to include upper levels, men and women. Was interesting and fun to watch. Lots of TKO's tonight! πŸ™ƒ

Great experience. I read a lot about 'pre-paid' fights but everything we saw was definitely real. The house was full, the viewers bursted with energy. We had usual tickets (not vip) and they are totally fine. Please note that you can get better prices (less than official costs you see at the site or on the bills) at the touristic booths that sell tours and other experiences (somehow they are offering you a discount + transfer to the stadium and back)

Good fights, I preferred sitting in the stand to ringside as I felt i got a better view of the over all fight. Was professional & worth going

A bit expensive although you can save on tickets by booking through tour sales kiosks located just about everywhere in Patong. So best not to buy your tickets at the actual stadium. A good place to experience authentic Muay Thai boxing bouts with local and farang participants. A fun night out!

1 bottle of water costs 50 baht. At the store across the street only 10 baht. A little overpriced if you ask me. Otherwise nice stadium.

An outstanding experience with fighters literally fighting for their livelihoods. But ringside for the best experience.
