Lovely restaurant! A variety of different dishes, accommodating staff, and cheap prices. Winning point for me is an abundant of vegetarian and vegan options! The Noodle dish I ordered is usually pork and seafood, but offered an option to change to tofu. Tasty and satisfying!

The waiting time is very long. Long time to get a table and long time for your food to get served. The hokkien mee/prawn noodles are delicious. The fried bean sprouts is okay, a bit oily. Love the ambience here.

Old style koptiam with the most strong Thai milk tea we've tasted! The massaman curry was delightful and filling. Lots of flavor and some good spice for a kick. The chicken was super fresh and juicy. I chose roti instead of rice. It was delightfully crispy and a great pairing. When I come back to Phuket will eat here again. There is a line for seating, but that's because it's good. Chill, relax l, and enjoy the traditional koptiam experience.

Great vibes here. Probably owned by some Chinese in the past. The milk coffee tasted good too and comes with some treats and green tea. As usual, the local level of sweetness can be too much. Order a less sweet version when in doubt

Delicious food and contained prices. Perfect combo. Try the 'white' soup with chicken and mushrooms (in photo). I am addicted. Their Tom Yum is like an exotic version of tomato soup, outstanding. You will love this place. Be aware that it tends to get busy so be prepared to wait.

Loved the shop and it's decor. Loved the food even more. Red Duck Curry, Morning Glory with Anchovy and Seafood Noodle Soup. Amazing! Plus the Thai Iced Tea was great as well. The food is reasanbly priced.

The hokkien mee here is absolutely delicious, with flavors that truly hit the mark. I would highly recommend trying it. And don't forget to give a big thumbs up to their Thai milk coffee!

Went here for visiting the shooting place of series “I Told Sunset about You.” The decorations of the restaurant is ancient Chinese style, and the food (Bak Kut Teh, O-Aew) are actually pretty good. Please noted that if there are a lot of customers, you will need to tell the staff to get queue up.

Absolutely enjoyed our visit here with their amazing coffee, food and service. The place teems with nostalgic nooks celebrating its many layers of history and it’s a delight to pore through every corner. Be sure to come early as the place gets packed.

Read about this restaurant in some guide, and found myself stumbling upon it in Old Town. The waiting time was about 15 min, and it’s low season, but I wanted to give it a try. Oh my I was in for a treat. If you wanna experience authentic Thai and Phuket food, not variation thereof, you have to go. It’s a simple interior, but the dishes are amazing and the price (it being the touristic center) is unbeatable. Ordered the Chicken Massaman Curry, Pad Thai and classic sweetened iced Thai coffee. Really great, and the service has been nice. Will definitely go back.

My friend and I were trying to have dinner here when visiting old town and it was so full and we couldn’t get in. So we tried it two days later and we were glad we did it. This little restaurant has a Chinese style architecture and the food is also Chinese food influenced. The dishes we ordered are all very tasty even though it’s a little spicy for us, we still enjoyed them.

We stopped here for lunch after reading rave reviews about this place while roaming through the streets of Old Phuket Town. There was about 40 minutes of waiting before we got seated, they put our name and gave the time to come back and the table was ready. The service was little slow that what we expected but the food and drinks were so good that it was worth the wait. This restaurant looks like always running at its capacity. We ordered lychee mojito and Thai coffee with coconut milk, both the drinks were yum and very well presented. Thai Shrimp Tempura was the tastiest I have even eaten around the world, preparation was fantastic. We also tried Pad Thai with chicken but the delicious part was tofu, which were softest and very well cooked. Hats off to this place for maintaining their standards and quality even after so much rush and demand. Highly recommended 🌙

A very busy restaurant which surely has a lot of history. The service was prompt and the food was tasty. Loved the biscuits they served with the drinks.

We like it so much we visited Twice with in 10 days! The noodles is so tasty, I had to order it again in the second visit. Also like their morning glory with garlic. Very good Thai ice-tea (remember to ask for less sweet as local Thai loves sweet). Great service and the owner is very friendly! Try to go after 1:30pm, normally don’t have to wait for a table. Love the retro decor!

This place is super famous so its always crowded with people and mostly tourists, we had to wait for a long time to get the tables, there were some queues got messed up, I do feel like they need to hire more worker because the old owner does everything from queuing, cashiering, serving tables. The foods, drinks and desserts we got were the best we ever had in town. Definitely not worth the hype and the wait. There are so many smaller but more amazing restaurants nearby and Im not a picky eater at all

Recommended to stop by for old style Thai coffee and easy snack. Restaurant offers proper meal, but we were too full from another restaurant. Restaurant maintains old style decoration, which we love very much for old town Phuket vibe.

It’s amazing , we almost had all our meals here during our stay in old town . Every dish is flavourful, service is great , ambience is unique. Prices are very nominal. You might have to wait a little but it’s totally worth it .

A very touristy eating place, always full of people that you gotta queue up in order to get a table. Hokkien mee was so disappointing and fishy, Phuket style salad was even worse. Very good and polite service though.

Love the traditional old school kopitiam atmosphere and friendly service. Even though they were fully booked, they were willing to wait list and eventually provide a table. Extensive drink list of old style tea, coffee, horlicks, ovaltine, almond milk concoctions that come paired with a the local bean pie snack and a cookie. The menu has appetisers, mains as well as brunch/snack items. Highly recommended for a respite whilst in old town or to grab a coffee.

We spent 3 nights in Phuket and had dinner here the 3 nights! Very local, great food and friendly service. Very central location as well. Theres always a line, as this restaurant is very popular, but it moves really quickly and you have many shops to see in the meantime. The restaurant doesn’t accept more costumers after 8pm so you’ll need to arrive around 7pm.

After seeing this address in our lonely planet and the reviews we wanted to try this restaurant. There was a fair bit of queue and some waiting time in the kitchen. We ordered a curry and pad Thai. It was good but I don't think it was worth the raving reviews. It is though well located on the main street and the staff is nice.

Visited there solo. Very nice ambience in the heart of old town phuket. Varieties of traditional dishes and actual Thai food. A big portion with a very reasonable price. I ordered a traditional pork dish with Thai omelette. Chinese almond milk and Horlick drink (I love both) and grilled tofu. Such a lovely meal. Highly recommended.

Now this is the place you go if you want an authentic experience with Thai food! It was like being at their home and getting served delicious dishes. We had homemade drinks and of course home made food. Everything top class, visit!

Very popular eatery in the heart of Phuket Old Town and prices reflect the touristy clientele. Despite that, if you order the traditional Peranakan dishes, you will be very happy with your choice. Well flavoured and decent portion sizes in a well decorated/themed space all adds to that old town ambiance.

  • 5/5 J W. 1 year ago on Google
So delicious! And great service. Authentic, beautiful Peranakan food along with typical Central Thai dishes. The coffees, drinks and desserts are gems.

Such a nice thai restaurant that's not Buffet style. Plenty of labelled vegan and vegetarian options!!!! We had the pad Thai 105TBH (pretty nice) & Pad Lee Mao 95THB (was super tasty). Ginger iced tea, would definitely recommend to add a line & a bit of sugar to it so it's not overpowering. Mandarin juice was also nice The place is in a nice location. The staff is very friendly and can speak English really good! Will definitely be back soon

It's a great place for lunch! The massaman Curry was very delicious as well as the pad thai we had! The place is totally recommendable and offers an outstanding value for a reasonable price.

We walked around the Old Phuket Town and stopped for lunch at Kopitiam by Wilai. We had Suki Nam which is a glass noodle soup with egg, mixed veggies, meat, seafood and spicy red sauce - the first mouthful made us go "mmmm"! The generous amounts of meat/seafood on it and the soup base were impeccable then simply paired it with Thai black coffee with Milk tea which was perfect.

Stopped here as a quick lunch spot, lovely family restaurant. Wish we had an extra day here to try this place for dinner. They speak English and have English translations in the menu. The food was so tasty and full of flavour. The drinks selection is abundant with various refreshing iced or hot teas, worth trying the used teas!
