Fantastic experience fishing. It was my sons first time fishing, he has wanted to do it for a long time. The guide was incredible and helped him catch his first fish, a whopper! Thank you so much. Lovely facilities and good fun.

Had the best day's fishing ever - the action started immediately catching decent sized catfish then carp and paccu (preditor fish looks like a giant rudd). The staff were very friendly and helpful. I'll be back (that might make a good catchphrase).

Friendly & helpful staff, good food and great fishing. Caught 14 fish between 10:00 and 15:00 with the most exiting being the Siamese Carp, Redtail and Catfish. Would highly recommend.

Firstly what a fantastic fishing park with a fab set up all round! I’ve noticed a recent 1 & 2 star review and just had to say something. Whilst people are entitled to leave a review based on their own experience why do you always get at least one who thinks they know it all and it’s always that nasty review that is unnecessary and can damage your business? Having said that, and reading between the lines, I think anyone reading a low star review for Chalong Fishing Park will see straight through narrow minded comments and will recognise the fact it is in fact a wonderful, calm, tranquil, peaceful location with great staff and fantastic knowledgeable owners who have built up this business from what was jungle to what it is now. A business owner who is completely passionate and continues to graft every single day. Although I’m not a fisherman myself, (and yes I have fished here with my husband many a time) surely anyone with a bit of savvy would know they just don’t pop up all day long for your own entertainment! It’s a fishing lake, not an amusement park! If you want to go fishing, and respect fishing for what it is, Chalong Fishing Park is the perfect place to go! 💙 🎣

Just want to say thank you to Chalong fishing Park for a amazing experience . We chose the 2.5hr session, we caught a few big ones, plenty of fun. Staff and owner were very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend for a day out in phuket !!!!

Great day out at the pond it’s a great pond and managed to catch 2 red tail cat fish but I did hook some other but the bail on my reel kept flying open when I went to strike but overall it was a great day and the people that helped me were great it was my second time here and it has changed so much great to see all the fish like arapaimas jumping and feeding off the surface, Thanks from Xavier 👍😀

Amazing day fishing. Friendly, great food, have a good laugh with everyone and catch lots of big fish. Fish guides make for an excellent experience. Would definitely recommend for experienced or beginners

The day started perfectly with a full English cooked breakfast with PROPER bacon! 😁 the welcome and hospitality were warm and Jez Chalong was most helpful with my enquiry as to wether fly fishing was a possibility. He went way above and beyond by contacting his friend Neil Campbell to bring his fly fishing gear down as a favour. I started the day coarse fishing and had several different species including a 40 lbs Asian carp, walking catfish, asian red tail catfish, red tail catfish, pacu and chao phraya catfish. I had an hour on the fly to get my eye in during the hottest part of the day; had a pull but no hook up. I decided to return to coarse fishing until the temperature and sun dropped a bit. Around 5.45 I went back on the fly and within 10 minutes I was in! The guide Dee, who really couldn’t have been more attentive throughout the entire day and helped in any way he could was straight in the water with the net, rod bent double, drag tightened right up and the fish was still taking line. Eventually I got its head up and Dee netted it to a loud cheer from the 6 spectators and video operators by the bar. No arapaima but caught a 15lbs asian redtail tiger catfish on the fly! What a scrap! What a memory. Thanks Jez Chalong, Dee and Neil Campbell. Highly recommended and for the non fishers, they have a pool table and a swimming pool.

We came down to fish in October 2020 on the first really sunny day we'd had in Phuket. It really is a great day out. We were there from 10:30 till 3:30 and made the most of the offers currently available. Jez (who owns it) was very helpful communicating via social media and in person. The guys helping us were tireless and had great advice. All of us (my 2 sons and I) caught at least 5 fish each, at least 3 species of fish and all of us managed a fish over 10kg. If you are able to get down and make the most of this place while it's quiet the chances are excellent you will catch some decent sized fish. Follow the advice and your chances will be hire. I really cannot recommend it enough, we had a great day and will be back when we're next in Phuket.

Visited twice during my stay in Kata and had two fantastic days The host Jez is great and the guides are fantastic Caught lots of fish Al fought hard and some where huge Whether you're an experienced angler or a complete novice it's a brilliant way to spend a few hours or like me a full day

Chalong fish park is advertised as fun fishing, and that is exactly what you get. I booked for 3 days and ended up walking in for half a day on what was supposed to be a rest day. I caught in excess of 80 fish with 9 different species, so I had a truly rod bending experience. The guides are very knowledgeable and work relentlessly to get you hooked up. The food is also outstanding, and Jez and his team are very welcoming and helpful. I would highly recommend a visit here even if you have never tried fishing before, you'll end up hooked

We had a fantastic day's fishing at Chalong Fishing Park. Jez and the staff could not have been more friendly, helpful and informative. The fishing was outstanding with numerous different species of great condition, hard fighting fish. All gear, bait and refreshments are available as well as help and advice. I cannot rate the place highly enough and will defintely be coming back next time I'm in Thailand. Whether you're a seasoned angler or you've never fished before you will have an outstanding day here.

Highly recommended and a must experience to have while in Phuket. They provide you with all needed tackles and baits. They also have a lil pool to cool off and my 6 years son really enjoyed the available kids playground. I’ll defiantly visit again.

In itself it’s a good fishing Park with a lot of species to catch. It’s smaller than it looks in the pictures. The drinks and food are not overpriced and there is enough shade. Owner is friendly and payment is also easy going. The gear that is used is a bit old and worn off but works. One downside are the hooks that are used, most of them are dull and should be replaced. Owner himself said that they are regularly replaced due to Pacu bite offs which doesn’t seem to be entirely true. The guides are a gamble some seem experienced others don’t help until the fish is at shore. Most of the fish you will catch are small to medium size compared to other fishing parks in Thailand. Not saying it has no big fish there are just better options.

I had a great day at Chalong Fishing Park! Caught countless fish and I could have had plenty more if I could have kept up with the fishing in the blazing heat. After a while I stopped taking pictures because the bites were so frequent, I even took the rods out for an hour or two throughout the day just to relax and recharge. The highlight of the day was seeing the broadside of a huge arapima rolling over in the shallows. My guide was fantastic, I'm not too good with names but he has half of his chest tattoo'd. He is a lovely man and it was a pleasure to spend my day conversing and learning with him. If you go to Chalong Fishing Park please consider tipping your guide, they really do go the extra mile for you and covid wasn't too kind to the local Thai people. I will be going back the next time I'm in Thailand for sure! Thanks again!

First day fishing was great. Really nice location really nice lake. Owner is really helpful so was the staff member I had. However second day wasn't to good the equipment I had wasn't good enough I asked to change at this point i lost 11 fish and new it was the rigs etc.. and the older staff member just called me a bad angler which was rude. As soon as he changed my equipment I didn't lose any more fish and the rest of the day was good. Food is good I recommend to anyone wanting a good day fishing.

My first experience at a fishing park.. I must say it was amazing... Caught multiple species in first half Hr itself.. The biggest one gave good 30-40 mins fight.. the staff was super fun and greatly helpful.. The owner of the park was welcoming and provided good info before fishing. overall amazing place for an angler to spend quality time fishing.. I'll be visiting again soon!! Also wanted to add on.. I booked the slot in advance with the communication with the owner The online payment process was smooth.

Our second visit to Chalong. Good, fun day out. Chalong is a lake NOT about size or monster fish it's a runs lake and great if you want some new species. Staff are friendly and helpful food and drink prices are reasonable.

My husband and I had a great time fishing the morning half day slot. Booking online was easy, and staff was responsibe to questions beforehand. I’m a beginner fisherman, and I had no trouble learning how to use the equipment. The guides were very attentive and helped with baiting, unhooking, and even let us reel in a few big catches that they hooked. We ordered lunch, which was delicious and served lakeside. I recommend this experience to everyone!

My 10 year old son and I had a full day’s fishing on the 12 August 2023 and had a cracking time. Easily arranged in advance. Decent quality tackle, which was up to the job ( unlike some we’ve used elsewhere.) and plenty of bait. A red tail cat and a Pacu on ( one each within 10 mins of arriving!) Boy, the guide was very helpful, but you’re responsible for the majority of the fishing. Any problems, or landing / unhooking etc and he was on it. Similarly, if fishing and any of the guides hooked a fish they were more than happy to had the rod over to a guest. Several other families/ groups there all seemed to be having a good time, catching plenty and being looked after. Plenty of decent fish of several species throughout our 10 hour stint. The Red Tails especially were on fire!! Facilities clean and well presented and even a cold beer as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our fishing, which exceeded our ( reasonable) expectations and previous experiences elsewhere. Can recommend thoroughly!!

I was fishing in Chalong at the beginning of December 2023. The owner and especially the fishing guides are very friendly and helpful. You should definitely trust them with which bait you catch and where it is best to place your bait. I caught around 15 fish weighing up to 15kg each in 5 hours. But there are also some really big fish that you can see in the water. If you want to catch exotic fish with special fighting power, you've come to the right place.

Great fishing park to catch some rover monster. We did half day fishing for about 5 hours and caught 4 fishes. There is a helper with that also catches fishes, they would Hand you the reel to see if you can reel it in or lose it 😆. Every bait you use, you will be charge for it. Hearts, gizzard, and bread bait. You keep a tab for all your drinks and food you order. There is a fan in your shaded shelter so that helps. Great experience.

On our recent trip to Thailand we decided to treat our 2, 14 year old grandsons to this experience. They were not disappointed the guides were such a great help and the day was very successful from the fish caught to the great lunch cooked on site. Would highly recommend 👌.

Amazing place to get your fishing fix while on holiday! It's like fishing on steroids, non-stop action and a bite every few minutes. Also, you don't have to worry about tools, tackle, bait, etc., everything is laid out for you. Special thanks to the friendly and helpful staff. I was there with my family and they tried their best to entertain my one-year-old while also performing their duties. I had a slight misunderstanding regarding the fee, but the owner was gracious and professional about it. If you enjoy fishing you have to come here at least for a half-day.

What an amazing day . Caught over 25 fish 6 different species The guides did a brilliant job . Shout out to boy who helped me all day. Great food . Can not recommend highly enough. If you are in phuket this is the most value for money fishing pond .

I had a wonderful time at Chalong Fishing Park! At 1000 baht per day with rods/guide, it was incredibly affordable for the huge amount of fish I caught and the things I learned here. I still doubt I’ll be able to catch any pacu bigger than here. Lake has an extraordinary amount of fish including Pacu, Arapaima, red tails, catfish, carp, and much more! Highly recommend whether you’re new to fishing or a veteran.

Well where to start?? From the moment we got there till the moment we left absolutely faultless. The owner is friendly and great with helping kids . We had a Thai lad called Jack that stayed with us most if the day, he was knowledgeable, friendly and spoke good English. The place is clean and the fish are well looked after. We only went for an afternoon but will be booking a full day before we head back to England. Much appreciated 🙏

Great place, and big fishes. And fantastic staff that helped all day long. 35 fishes was catched in 7 hours. Biggest about 50 kg. Great value for money. I will for sure come back.

We had a fantastic fun days fishing at Chalong Fishing Park. Jez and Chen are the perfect hosts and the full English breakfast is the best. The guides are very hard working, very helpful and very pleasant. We both caught some very nice fish and all at good sizes (47 fish between us). Really fun experience with the kids and way better than any lame “trout pond” we’ve hit up back in the US. Caught more fish than I needed to and could have caught more if I wanted. Owner is super friendly and helpful.

Spent an exhilarating few hours here yesterday; Jez, Jen and the team of friendly and knowledgeable staff were amazing from the minute we arrived. Although I’ve been an enthusiastic coarse-angler since I was a young boy I still needed plenty of help from the guides, especially as the fish were coming thick and fast! Massive Carp, Pacu and numerous Catfish species combined for the most memorable days’ fishing I’ve ever had….. until next time!!

My son 9 years old and I been waiting for two years to be able to go back, and it did not dissapoint. Red tails Siam carp Pacu and an enormous 90 kg + Arapaima hooked by my son and landed by me after a 30min + fight. An amazing day thanks to the boys who helped all day and Jez and Mad Maholly. Highly recommend also great food eagles flying around and a swimming pool for the ones who are not fishing.

Spent the day at Chalong fishing park with some friends and had such a great day. The staff were really helpful as I'm a complete novice. I caught quite a few fish, some where huge. Can't wait for the chance to return, the lakes so nice. Oh good food and cold drinks available too.
