Stopped in on a whim and so dang happy we did! All of the staff were very friendly and attentive, even the chef came out to say hi and give us a run down of the menu. We ordered the nachos, chicken fajitas, and the shrimp fajitas, all of which were flavorful, filling, and delicious. The panna cotta at the end of the meal was so refreshing and really topped off a perfect meal!

The food is reasonable, not special. To be honest, I have eaten at much better Mexican restaurants. What annoyed me is that the dishes look satisfying but in reality they are much smaller and very expensive. I don't eat much and I paid 600 bhat and left the restaurant hungry. So in terms of value for money this place fails. However, it should be noted that the staff is very kind and the place is clean.

Pass by this Maxican restaurant many time and didn't had a chance to try as they were full house during dinner time also it is a small restaurant. Today finally we got a table. Love the traditional chimichanga here. Spare ribs was very small portion and meat very dry but taste was quite good though🤪.

I am giving this place 5 stars because for Mexican food in Thailand, it was great!! Coming from California, having access to real Mexican food and traveling throughout Mexico, this place was spot on. We ordered the nachos, chicken taquitos, steak tacos and vegetarian tacos. Everything tasted delicious, was well spiced, and good portions. Especially the steak tacos!! Having 4 large slices of ribeye in the taco smothered with beans, cheese, onions, cilantro and salsa they were so freaking good. And the taco was the size of my hand if not bigger. Reading the previous reviews and how people weren’t happy with the taste or the size or the price, made us want to give this place a review and the praise it deserved. Prices are geared more tourists - it’s not cheap eats Thai food, it’s in the heart of old Phuket town, so you should already be prepared to pay a higher price. It also depends on what you order and how much - we were pretty hungry so we ordered a lot and we got drinks. Everything was well worth it and if you are looking for a break from the local food, you should definitely go here!!

Phenomenal meal! We happened upon this place while looking for a nice meal for our one night in Phuket Town and it did not disappoint! Being from San Diego, one of my FAVORITE things in the world are micheladas, and it’s just not something you come across in Thailand. When I saw it on the menu here, I was skeptical because of the price and likelihood that it wouldn’t be as good as I would hope, but I was proven wrong! The size of the michelada was much larger than expected, and the taste was just like home! I was honestly really sad when it was finished. It would’ve even been a good michelada back home! The people working here were lovely and welcoming and the food was delicious. My braised beef tacos were excellent- the meat was done perfectly and the shells tasted really fresh. If you’re in town and love Mexican food, this place is a must! Thank you so much for the kind hospitality, the incredible food, and the taste of home!

We had an amazing experience at Amore, I got the tapas platter and beef quesadillas and they were both bursting with flavour. Definitely a must try and would go back again the staff were also very nice and attentive as soon as we entered the restaurant. It was also a great atmosphere with the vibrant colours and cool decorations. (No photos of the food as I was too busy eating it 😂)

A really great Mexican restaurant in Old town Phuket. The place is decorated in bright colours with lots of tequila bottles, particularly the awesome skull ones. The fajitas were good as was the spicy mojito which was awesome but be warned VERY spicy. They will also do half bottles of wine for you served in a nice decanter. We had a half bottle of Australian Syrah which was quite OK for the price.

We loved the place, especially the tacos were super tasty. The bill is somewhat above average and parking nearby could be an issue.

I loved this restaurant!! The food was great and the atmosphere of the place felt like a real latín place. From the moment we got in the walls and the decoration makes you feel like you are in Mexico. Nothing bad to say tbh. Will definitely recommend it. Try the beef quesadilla!

We ordered 3 main dishes which were scrumptious. NZ Grilled Lamb was juicy and cooked well. Beef Fajitas was flavourful and 4 ways condiments and dips. The best surprise on the menu was the fusion dish, Beef Kaprow - juicy Australian Beef with spicy Thai basil fried rice. Love this combination. Of course, many selection of drinks to quench your thirst. The ambiance is chill and relax vibe with spanish music in the background.

This was the best Mexican food we've had in any country. The colourful, festive restaurant matches the brightness of Old Phuket Town! The food was 10/10 - we had these shrimp and bread appetisers, fish tacos and beef burrito. We had to ask more bread so we could dip more of the appetiser sauce because it was that delicious!! The staff were absolutely lovely and they even gave us a dessert on the house 🥺🥺 the dessert was also 10/10. Thank you to the staff!! WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Delicious! Probably up there with one of the best Mexican meals I’ve ever had. Pork burrito, nachos plus chicken wings. Strawberry mojito was fantastic. Very happy with the price of the meal.

I got the chicken nachos and a classic margarita. I appreciated how the margarita came in a nice heavy rocks glass with a slow melting ice. Points for presentation. Taste was pretty good as well and the price was around average. The restaurant is small and intimate like a cantina. As for the nachos, I really liked the seasoning. (Not sure if it was the chips or sauce). Now for the bad:: a lot of the chips were buried under the toppings and after 4 crunchy chips, it became soggy so I ate most of the “nachos,” or should I say “ plate of chicken cheese,” with a fork. I guess all said, it really hit the spot when craving mexican.

We really enjoyed our dinner at „Amore Mexican Tapas & Bar“. The food and drinks were delicious and arrived very quickly. The servcie was excellent, extremely friendly and polite. We definitely recommend this place if you want to have a typical Mexican dinner!

We weren’t planning on having Mexican food tonight but we saw this while we were walking the streets of Phuket old town, and I must say I’ve had one of the best lamb dishes in my life here. We got shrimp quesadillas, shrimp tacos, lamb tacos, beef tacos, and lamb Fajitas (I know, we order too much food!) we didn’t like the quesadillas but all the other dishes were amazing, especially the lamb fajitas. Would definitely recommend it!

Let’s start with the good: 4 people. Late lunch. We all had Margaritas which were excellent. And Also the The burritos and the hard shell Tacos were great. However: Non-authentic Mexican, at touristy prices, mid-quality products. We came 4 people for a late-lunch, and all the dishes were both not authentic and not totally great. They were fatty, tasteless, missing key ingredients (beans...?), the sour cream was not the quality kind, and guacamole was bland. The nachos had way too much corn topping and the only two other ingredients were tomato and cheese. Maybe we just made bad choices? For deserts they only had Italian options: tiramisu, Panna-Cota etc, which we found odd, as it’s not an Italian restaurant...... The Tiramisu was good enough. The bill was high and unreasonable, especially considering the time we are living in. Will not be back but if you want to grab a quick Mexican maybe you should make a stop.

I was raised in California, so Mexican and Tex-Mex cuisine rank pretty high up there in terms of “food that feels like home.” And if you know anything about Californians, we take our burritos and tacos pretty seriously. My boyfriend and I both agree that this place brought us back home, if only temporarily. The food was phenomenal! We had the chips and guacamole, a beef burrito, chicken tacos, and pork tacos. The meats were juicy and tender and spiced just right. We really experienced the vibrant, fresh, and spicy flavors that this cuisine is known for! The drinks were equally phenomenal. We ordered a large raspberry mojito, a blue margherita, a mango margherita, and two anejo tequilas to sip on for after meal conversations. All the drinks were delicious and well made. I am particularly obsessed with the fruit flavored ice spheres that the drinks come with! We will definitely be coming back and hope to bring some of our friends!

Stumbled on this gem - everything we had was good - the chicken satay, ribs and quesadilla. Bird was friendly, and a real pleasant host. The restaurant stayed opened for as long as we were there, and we were really made to feel like guests. This was definitely one of the top Mexican places I've been to in Thailand.

Pork tacos were really good! Ask for the spicy green salsa. Came in with a friend because tequila has been hard to come by in Thailand. They have a good selection. We took three shots of Don Julio Blanco and it's just like it is back home. Servers were very lovely and hospitable.
