We originally booked back in 2020, then COVID put a pause on our plans for two years. Even through all the uncertainty and travel restrictions, the entire process was smooth and accommodating. The boats are stunning, clean and a joy to be on all day. Pee was a great, knowledgeable and friendly guy who was so dedicated to making sure our day was enjoyable. It was so nice to get all the photos Pee took of the day later on as well. If you're visiting Phuket, you absolutely cannot miss a day on the water with 5 Star Marine - their name says it all! We booked a private tour of Phi Phi and James Bond Island and it was the highlight of our trip to Phuket. Right from the start, Shaun was prompt in answering our many questions and sorting out the booking for us. Jimmy and his team were fantastic on the day. They were so kind and helpful with our 3 kids and the little one kept asking for Jimmy for the remainder of our holiday!! Snorkelling, canoeing and exploring the caves were just magical and was one of the most memorable experiences we have had so far. Phi Phi is stunning no doubt but James Bond was our favorite. Jimmy made sure we spent time on a beach so our 3 year old and her little friend could splash and play. Our only regret was choosing the lunch option at Phi Phi Don instead of the picnic. Their food was very average but this is not reflective of 5 Star Marine. However, you may want to give them the feedback so you can keep taking your groups there. Overall, if you are looking for a tour while in Phuket, look no further than Five Star Marine. They certainly live upto their name. Thanks again Shaun, Jimmy and the team.

If you are even questioning booking 5 star Marine, please don’t hesitate! My husband and I wanted a special experience for our honeymoon, and we definitely got it. We booked a private boat tour and although not cheap, it was totally worth it and beyond professional. Oak, Kim, and Gin were truly phenomenal. They were honestly so welcoming and helpful. Gin, the captain knew what he was doing. Oak, spoke great English and had a very fun personality too. Kim was very sweet! We went to the Phi Phi islands, swam a little, snorkeled, had lunch at the center- which was great! I can not recommend this enough. The boat was also very clean. The driver also showed up early!!! Book now!!!!

I don't leave reviews very often but will make an exception in this case. I had the pleasure of going out on a few tours with 5 Star Marine. Can't fault the staff, service and overall experience. 100% correct that they plan around what the other "predicable" tour operators are doing and try to visit the right spots outside the peak times where possible. Being agile in this industry definitely works. Shaun's principle of making sure the customer experience counts is sound. I met him, very humble guy who did great things for the local community and his staff during the pandemic which he has received the appropriate official recognition for. When I'm in Phuket, if I want to do a tour again, I'll be using 5 star marine again for sure.

What an amazing day out! Would highly recommend. Definately worth it. Nothing was too hard. We could take our time in places. We had a passenger range from 2 to 78 and we all had a good time! We went snorkelling, caving, canoeing, lunch, James Bond island, all in one day! We had Jimmy as our guide, and he was excellent. Thank you to him and the crew. They even arranged to drop off our daughters sandals we left on the boat.

For sure a must experience to be done with family and friends. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. The cruise was in good hands. The crew definitely take you too the best spots for snorkeling and make sure that everyone is satisfied.

We had a private tour of Phang Nga bay January 17, 2022. We spent 8 hours on the water with the best tour guide Sunny along with the very competent Captain Nook and boatman William. It was an amazing day, we were cared for by conscientious staff on a well kept and beautiful boat. James Bond Island, very cool but really the natural beauty as we were being paddled around the mangroves and through caves was like something from a dream come true. The peaceful serene canoe trip will be something we will never forget. The beauty of nature in Phang Nga Bay has a leg up on El Nido and Coron Philippines. With lower tourism now due to Covid this trip is a must for anyone in Phuket or surrounding areas. The feeling that you are alone in the mangroves and caves was actual reality. The peaceful sounds of nature broken only by the sound of a paddle breaking the waster’s surface. The 68 year old gentleman paddling our canoe was also a profession guide that knew how to maneuver the boat for the best view. We ate at a beautiful seafood restaurant and swam on a deserted island beach. We also hiked through a cave to a hidden lagoon, it was an overall perfect day. Thanks to 5 Star Marine’s owner Shaun Stenning for setting us up with this memory of a lifetime. Our next trip to Phuket will include another stop at 5 Star Marine.

5 Star Marine blew away our expectations and then some! My fiancée and I booked a private boat tour to James Bond Island and are so glad we went with 5 Star. Jessica, our guide was truly incredible and so knowledgeable. We walked away with so much interesting information about Phuket, the islands and Thailand in general. A big shout out to the captain and engineer who were great as well. Jessica and the crew knew all of the best places to go and because 5 Star hosts their tours on the early side, nearly everywhere we went was completely empty from other tourists. We were able to have a private cave tour, kayaks through Hong island, Koh Panyi Village and more! We have been in Thailand for over a week now and can honestly say this was the highlight of the entire trip. If you are looking for a very special tour where you will experience far more than just James Bond Island, then this is the trip for you. 10/10 overall experience and we will be booking another tour with 5 Star during our next trip back to Thailand. Thank you Jessica and crew! Also, 5 Star provides transportation to and from where you are staying which was really great.

Shaun and his team run a tight ship (no pun intended). We booked a private full day cruise and it was the highlight of our time in Phuket. Our driver picked us up right on time and when we arrived at the marina our guide Dream was waiting for us to sign a little paper work and work our the details of our cruise. The only hard part was choosing how to fill the next 8 hours. We ended up focusing on Phang Nga Bay, which to me was like the Wadi Rum of Thailand. What an amazing place. We did a great job of avoiding the crowds, got to canoe, explore the mangroves, see James Bond Island (Khao Phing Kan), swim in a secluded lagoon, and had a great lunch consisting a fresh seafood in Koh Panyee. We were hoping to do a little scuba diving, but the inclement weather got in the way of that, although our guide did warn us early on it was a possibility so no worries there. While not the cheapest options in Phuket, definitely one of the best and worth every baht.

Thank you to all of the team who took us out today we had an incredible day I highly recommend renting your own boat. We had three incredible crew, the boat was so comfortable, the snorkeling and swimming was mind blowing we had a 78 year old and a 6 year old in our group of five and had the best day of our entire three week holiday. We found 5 star marine from watching RW4U and the biolumenescence tour really stood out for us as a must see and do tour, especially seeing Alex, his love and passion for the experience and tour he created - we knew there were none other to go to for our trip. My partner got communicating with 5 star marine and the communication from day 1 to day of the trip was exceptional, from catering needs to weather reports. They went above and beyond. One experience had me crying with joy on the boat - Although not promised due to sea conditions - we asked if possible that we stop for some snorkeling. Alex, the Engineer and the Captain set off to find the best time and spot for it before the sea got too rough. I have never snorkeled but it was on my bucket list, at first I panicked and nearly gave it up before I had even started but Alex jumped straight in and took me out, calmed me down and had me taking deep breaths as he pulled me around the coral reefs (sorry Alex! 😂) pointing out all of the sea life! I would have given that experience up if it wasnt for Alex. Bucket list item not only ticked off but exceeded all expectations, with someone I trusted completely. That was just our first stop of the trip and it just set off the whole experience. We knew we were in with the best of the best from there. Every stop, every experience - just breathtaking. We saw sights and were told so much information that a review and photos just doesn't give it enough credit. The caving and the swimming and then finishing it off with the Biolumenescent plankton, no photo or picture will do it justice. It felt like a fairytale. I will come to Phuket just for this company and their tours, now. Coming to Thailand without making the trip down - I don't think is possible any more. So thank you. For an unforgettable, unbelievable trip that I will cherish forever. Hope to see you guys again soon (very soon!) Also an extra special thank you for including a young lad in the trip who had a fantastic day and loved all of the staff, making him laugh and smile, throughout!

Alex and his team were absolutely phenomenal today! They made sure we got to every spot at the right time so we could avoid large crowds, we had such a relaxing and peaceful day today despite the heavy rain at some stages. The wonderful personalities of the crew kept us all giggling and feeling so beautifully welcomed. Highly recommended their services you will not be disappointed!

5 star has a really fast boat, friendly staff and a really good program. If you want to experience real Thai hospitality then 5 star marine is the way to go. They are professional, courteous and great fun. The kayaking near one of the islands was an experience I'll never forget. The local staff drive the kayak through caves and rock formations that make your jaw drop in amazement. Thank you for a great day!

Excellent trip. Great value of services. The crew was nice and paid attention to many details in order to make our day perfect. Our guide, Alex, was wonderful and also recommended a great place during the trip to have lunch. We absolutely loved the food at the restaurant, authentic Thai food and the best we had in Thailand. All activities during the trip were amazing, especially the bioluminescent plankton at the end of the day. We loved the trip so much....that we booked another one with them a few days later :D...Thank you for the vibes and memories ♥️🌴

Beer was our guide, and I know that it's spelled wrong. He was friendly and accommodating. We booked a private tour for 7 and was worth every cent. We were never rushed. We were alone in all sites and had no rules on what we saw.

We had a really fabulous time with 5 Star Marine, and would highly recommend, we booked 2 trips x Captain's Choice. Organising it all with Shaun was a very easy process, always on hand answering my 100 questions and giving clear advise. We were a family of 8 which included grandparents, young adults, teens and a 9 year old. We had Dream & his crew on Lucas 3 and they were a pleasure to have with us on the first day, they could not do enough for us, besides guiding the tour they were thoughtful to everyone's needs, and putting everyone at ease as some of our group were not so confident on the water, so much so we asked to have them again for our second trip. They were always waiting to help and assist. The tours were perfect, tailoring to our requests, finding us great spots away from the crowds. We will for sure use again in the future and recommend to anyone looking!

Awesome service, team and experience. Beyond recommend going through 5 star, they were excellent at what they do and when you are out around phi phi island you will see every other boat packed with people 40+ rushed through the tours like cattle. With 5 star marine we were basically the first boat in at all tour locations making for a smooth, relaxing experience. It does cost more then other companies but in this case you absolutely get what you pay for, if you still choose to go with a cheap phi phi or James bond island tour you will be disappointed thoroughly. We only had 11 people on our trip and was perfect, clean boat and all stops where for a good amount of time.

What an incredible experience that our whole family will treasure for the rest of our lives! Chris was our guide and he took such care to listen to what we wanted to see and adjust the plans accordingly. We were able to swim with reef sharks, so many fish, amazing coral and he took such care to take photos and videos for us every step of the way. Hands down best money spent on a tour. Highly recommend doing a full day to See James Bond and Phi Phi. Everywhere else was saying you needed 2-3 days to see it all. We booked a day trip, as a private day out around Phuket Island, for snorkeling. A friend shared the contact and we signed up for 5pax. From the booking to the trip itself, we were just so blessed. Simple and efficient sign up No payment upfront Explanation for bad weather plan And everything so well taken care for. We would like to thank Alex, our guide. And his crew on Lucus 9 with Engineer Mart and Captain Lip. 1) the boat so clean and well maintained 2) the crew was attentive even when we were drying our towels and shawls, they helped to clip them so that they won’t be blown away 3) when it drizzled, they were so proactive, wiping the seats dry 4) they were so assuring and updated us on weather and our comfort level 5) they brought us to small hidden caves and lagoons, and held my sister’s hand and guided her slowly and safely about 6) esp Alex, thank you for towing my sister and I to and fro the boat to the lagoon We had the most amazing lunch, thanks for the recommendation. Lastly, we really thank you and the crew for bringing us safely back too, weather was stormy at some points. I recommend 5 star Marine! ☺️☺️

Excellent day out to James Bond Island and Phang Nga Bay area. Could not have asked for a more perfect day or trip. First, organizing it was a breeze with fast responses to all our questions. We chartered 5 Star for us and two friends to visit James Bond Island and the surrounding area. They were flexible with our requests and made this trip one of the best so far in our 3 years in Thailand. The boat and staff were top notch! K Pi made sure we had everything we needed and filled us in on all the interesting facts in the area. Captain Duk and K Boa made sure we had the smoothest journey! Our photos will not do this area justice but if you are looking for the perfect day out this is the boat operator you want to pick. I also recommend doing this trip sooner than later before mass tourism returns to Phuket and definitely go with 5 star! We visited James Bond Island, canoed around a mangrove forest island, visited caves and swam at a couple other island plus more.

I highly recommend this company. My friend and I were totally blown away by the level of service they provided. It exceeded all of our expectations and then some. The cost was very reasonable and that was before we knew about their incredible service level. Straight up the best boat tours company in Phuket. I will definitely recommend! We used them twice during our trip and hafld been talking about our island-hopping weekends non-stop! Crew are so knowledgeable and also friendly. They made me feel safe onboard. I caught my first fish onboard and it was so much fun, apart from snorkeling, eating on Banana beach etc. We had the most beautiful sunset on a sandbank. So memorable! Definitely a MUST DO in Phuket.
