We signed up for 6 moths, my son attended 3x week, everything was fine until the 6 mths were done and I inquired about testing. The director said my son could continue to go until the next test without me committing for a full year. When it was time for testing she yelled in front of all the other parents that he wasn’t eligible because he hadn’t paid for the last two months. She also said he had problems focusing again in front of all the other children and parents. No etiquette or sense of privacy whatsoever. The instructor had to step in and ask her to leave. The instructor also said he wasn’t ready for testing, but not once did I receive any feedback of that sort during the 6 months I paid. Very offensive lady, I had to argue to pay for my son to test. They don’t have kids interests at heart and it can be crushing for some kids. Glad I didn’t commit to the year, happy my son will get to continue somewhere else in a more positive environment. There are after school programs that are good and great but this after school program is hands down the best there is for Ajax and Pickering youth! My son has been in this program for over a year and my daughter is joining soon! Hands down the instructors are the best there are! The environment is structured and supports learning, fosters personal growth and discipline! The after school program coordinators are amazing and they help with homework before they can join their daily class! I could never have imagined finding such a fantastic place to enroll my children to keep them active, healthy and engaged! Thank you DTK you have been amazing!!!

The best school of taekwondo in the GTA. My time here was instrumental to my development growing up, and it was always very enjoyable. You will be taught by world-class instructors who are masters of their craft. Their passion and energy is infectious, and they always push their students to excel both in and out of the dojang. They have classes available for all ages and skill levels, from after school classes, to advanced black belt classes. I would strongly reccomend Durham Taekwondo for anyone interested in learning more about taekwondo or martial arts.

Both my kids go here and absolutely love it! Fantastic team, perfect balance of fun while learning the skill of the sport, discipline, respect, and overall self control/care. Highly recommend going here!!

We moved from Mississauga to Ajax in Dec 2021 and it was right around the time when my daughter was preparing for the black belt. We were recommended to check Durham Taekwondo by the previous Master (Master Seo) under who my daughter trained for the majority and were introduced to Master Sofia. We are very happy with my daughters progress. Each school has its own style and I like the program run at this school. The focus on conditioning and the black belt testing was exceptional. I feel extremely proud that my daughter was able to take on the black belt testing with flying colours. I am highly positive that each and every parent of the student who achieved the black belt can agree that the test is one of the most challenging ones and the guidance and methods by Master Sofia empowers and enables the kids to turn stronger and capable to take the challenge. The focus of the school in turning kids to great amazing individuals is unparalleled. I wish team Durham Taekwondo all the very best.

This was the first time I tried any form of mixed martial arts, but master Stefano was incredibly welcoming. The family-run environment made me feel very comfortable. Can’t wait to try out for a black belt.

This is the best taekwondo business in the Toronto area; people from all over the GTA travel to bring their kids here. I highly recommend attending Durham Taekwondo as it is run by the kindest family I have ever met. The instructors are truly dedicated and highly supportive to every child. Durham Taekwando is a fantastic business run by amazing people. Everyone there treats you just like family and with the utmost respect. The instructors are extremely patient and kind to all the kids. 10/10 would recommmend.
