I’ve dinned here recently (late October 2020) this was my first time here, as I typically just visit Portly Piper Ajax. The establishment is bright and clean and I had the most friendly sever!! I wish I remembered her name. I ordered a pint, halloumi friends and the chicken bacon wrapped roll ups. The chicken was good maybe a little dry, but still good. I would for sure come back and I would for sure recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice place to eat and have a few drinks.

Every single time I come here I always have the most amazing experience! Jenn with the red hair always leaves us feeling welcome and like family. She goes above and beyond for her customers. I mostly keep coming back just to see her! Lynne always keeps me laughing and also feeling like family. These two women do any amazing job and should be recognized for that. They work hard, pay special attention to the customers and you always leave feeling happy after spending time with them! Thank you so much ladies! If it wasn’t for you - I wouldn’t keep coming back !

Excellent restaurant with plenty TVs for the sport fanatics out there. The welcoming atmosphere makes watching sports such a pleasure. There’s a wide variety of dishes to choose from. My indecisiveness always gets the best of me. The halloumi fries were the perfect app to start with. The rice balls were recommended by the server but I didn’t care for them much. The wings were satisfying, however not as good as the sister restaurant “Portly Piper”. Although it sounds like I didn’t care for the food , I really enjoyed it. I eat here often enough. The servers are some of the friendliest. The mango margarita was unreal good

Best and affordable place for either a quick bite or family sit down. Portions are massive and filling. They have a deals everyday for dine in and if you order online only 11 bucks for wings and fries( I mean how could you go wrong with that right?).

Excellent Food and Service!! Food came quickly after we ordered. Was piping hot and changed to items were perfect. Will come again, so many different items to try!!

We ordered dinner tonight for a family of 6 through Uber eats. When we received the order, we were missing 4 of the meals. I contacted my Uber driver who advised we needed to contact the restaurant as they only handed him one bag. We contacted the restaurant and they told us to call the Uber driver. Honestly I don’t care who messed up, but I would have thought the restaurant would have tried to make it right given we always order from them and I’m a loyal customer. When we called back to say we needed to reorder the 4 missing meals the person who answered the phone told us to us to order again online. Not the best service for a restaurant to direct us back online and not offer to take the order over the phone! Upon picking it up, no one from the restaurant came out to apologize or talk to us. My veggie burger was burnt on the bottom however the other 3 meals were prepared well. Unfortunately I will be taking my business to another restaurant moving forward and definitely won’t be using Uber eats anymore!

If I could rate no stars I would , I was very disappointed with this restaurant. I ordered quite a bit of food from here for my family, I don’t even know where to start with how disgusting the food tasted. The lobster tasted like it was just pulled out of the water and dropped into our container , no seasoning, no sauce no nothing , the meat loaf meal with mashed potatoes smelled horrible 🤮🤢, my son got chicken parmigiana and it too smelled atrocious. I could go on, but I won’t , long story short I will never order anything from here again!

With the menu update there is no new vegetarian main dishes that I could see which was disappointing. Carrot cheese cake was fantastic and the irish nachos are still a familiar favourite. Would have been nice if when we came in at 7pm someone had told us there would be karaoke starting at 8pm (Tuesdays).

What I appreciated the most is that they were opened until late. It was convenient for us that night after a long day of running everywhere. Overall the food was good, the place nice & modern. Not cheap but not too expensive neither. At first the place looks closed. It was hard to know if open or not but then we just opened the door and it was perfect. I wish they have non-alcoholic beverage options. I still for a nice Virgin pin a colada but would be still great to offer a list and be transparent on the price too. Washroom and overall the restaurant were cleaned. I will come back to try other dishes. It was a good moment spent there even if you are not a beer drinker and or pub specialist that enjoy watching sports.

We had a wonderful time celebrating a family birthday! The food was great and the staff amazing, we'll be back!! (As you can tell, it was so good we forgot to take pictures of the food, so empty dishes will have to suffice).

Paige was exceptional with us. Super patient with my decision making of this 24 page menu... sooo many options all of them look delicious...I better come back every day of the year to try something new. We loved the busy atmosphere and how cool was it that we could choose either a booth with the Leaf game private TV, or the football game. We obviously selected the Leaf game booth. Here is our pics and sorry for the half eaten one, it came first.... The French Onion soup was delicious if I'm being honest the cheese on top should have been more well done, but the broth didn't disappoint. Cheese, to soup to bread ratio on point and I'm a connoisseur and very picky. The mains were delectable and enough to take home for lunch the next day for all of us. Dessert that we shared was mouthwateringly delicious, and we were so full we shouldn't have even had any but couldn't help ourselves. Creme Brule cheesecake with the Graham cracker crust, we couldn't stop!!! So yummy!! 10.stars plus we will be back!!

Food good. Price reasonable. Atmosphere fine. We are regular patrons. However I am upset with owner/ manager non stop making up rules and stories on their various offers. Tried to purchase a gift card with extra 10% bonus as advertised on their store door. When purchase, manager advised card cannot be used on the same day it purchased. What??? There is no such issue for any gift cards I purchased from all other restaurants and retailers. This is a made up trick I do not appreciate and will have second thought to go back there again. Do not ruin business with this kind of insincere offer!!

The best wings in Whitby. Great staff and very efficient. Smokey BBQ wings have great flavour.

Went with 2 friends from work (we work across the street). We pre-ordered the food less than 15 minutes before, got there and we were seated in less than 1 minute. Our food came to us in less than 1 minute, and our food and beverage technician, Lynn, is amazing. Great food, great atmosphere, and reasonably priced. Definitely returning

The jambalaya was great. AND the desserts actually come and look like the picture they advertised. All delicious.

Love this place. Come here often with my son, partner and brother. Amazing place to celebrate our achievements and AMAZING food and service. I personally recommend the deep fried cheese curds... Today we had a server named Tina and she was so good with my son. Engaging with him about his new toys and answering all his fun toddler questions with excitement! Another amazing experience once again. Will be back... multiple times lol

My best friend and I had the best time at Charley Ronick’s! Not only was the food absolutely delicious, the service we received was excellent! Mike was attentive, funny, and took his time to help us choose a meal from the many great options (he wasn’t bad to look at either! If only I were 20 years younger lol!). We would definitely recommend dining here, not only for the food but for the amazing experience overall.

My experience at CR’s was awful! I ordered the chicken souvlaki dinner which is one of my favourites. But when I took a bite of the chicken it tasted like fish. Not even remotely like chicken. I can’t eat fish. Makes me ill. The waitress told me when I sent it back that everything is cooked on the same grill! So the food is cross contaminated! They cooked me a burger which was fine but it wasn’t what I wanted. And by the time it came my wife was already finished her dinner. They didn’t even offer me a discount to show they were sorry for ruining my night. I will never return

Me and my boyfriend came for dinner - the service was great & my meal was great but his meal wasn’t the greatest. He got the wing and rib combo - the wings were good but the ribs had this terrible nasty gamey taste like the ribs have gone bad or were left out at room temp for too long. He told me to try it to see if it was just his taste buds so I tried a small piece and I could taste it right away - I couldn’t even swallow it I had to spit it out. He didn’t finish them and thank god he didn’t because he probably would have got sick from them, that’s how bad the meat tasted. We aren’t the ones to complain so we just paid for our dinner and left. We are both big meat eaters so we know when our meat doesn’t taste right and they just tasted disgusting, we left them on the plate and he lost his appetite

went on a Friday night, it was pretty busy but we managed to get a seat pretty quickly. wings were pretty good, maybe even excellent. Ribs also above average. noise level is high. Sound just seems to travel in this place. Would not be a good place to go on a first date! On the other hand if your kids are loud, no one would even notice I expect. We would return if in the area and looking for a sports bar. Not cheap but what is these days? Chucks. That's what's cheap and almost nothing else.

I love this place and if they've ever made a mistake are quick to rectify it. I ordered the seafood curry pasta which I've had many times, hence the repeat. The menu says scallops plural, there was one barely, it was missing a quarter of it. I realize the option of adding more is there, but at the cost of $26, and "scallops" description on the menu, my expectations are to get more than barely one. I definitely recommend the halloumi fries!!!! Lobster mac and cheese never disappoints.

Wide variety of food and drinks. Many different cuisines like Thai, Indian, pub food, Italian to choose from. I tried the seafood pasta and apart from the cherry tomatoes I enjoyed it. Sizable portions. Slightly pricey but worth it.

Every time I've had a meal here it has been great. I ordered the curry chicken for the first time, very disappointed. Watery, no flavour and taste like chicken noodle soup. Chicken was very tough and naan bread are harder than bricks. Food quality seems have gone down hill since covid. I would avoid this place.

We were seated right away but waited almost 2 hours for our food; I actually stepped out and went to no frills and did a small grocery while my husband waited for our food. Once our food arrived it was mediocre, definitely not worth the price. Our server was not overly friendly, didn’t even seem like she wanted to be there. We won’t be returning.

Highly recommended. Forget Uber Eats or w/e, order delivery from C.R.'s Quick. Arrives warm/hot. Great prices. No hidden fees. Wings are my favourite (many side options, most at no add. cost). Dine in experiences were great too.

I ordered wings and ribs comb with mashed potatoes from this restaurant. I received DIRT, yes a lump of dirt in the mash potatoes. I called and bring the food back, they were actually very nice. Gave me a new meal with loads of extra. The thing is, the damage is already done. I threw the food away. I can’t get over the taste of the dirt in my mouth and what looks honestly like someone’s poop. I will NEVER order from here again. That is just unacceptable on every level. Very unsanitary, their food handling and storage needs to be looked into. How does a lump of dirt get into mashed potatoes. The manager apparently contacted “ head office”.

Exceptionally friendly staff & delicious food has helped this pub become a staple in our family traditions. Their wings are always delicious as heck. Get the soup of the day every time, you'll never regret it. It does get packed because the food & quality of staff drives alot of returning business. If you hate busy businesses it might feel overwhelming in here, but it's a warm and inviting atmosphere all the same.

Service is great. Kyra was very nice and attentive. Always made sure we had what we needed. Food is great and can't argue with value. Enjoyed the fajitas and wings and ribs along with the kids favorite Irish nachos. Can always count on a great experience here.

If I could give 10 stars I would. The service is amazing, the Menu is huge (I have never seen a bigger and most diverse menu). The food is delicious and in very generous amounts. You don’t have to wait for long for your food to be served. Simply the best! Kudos to the cooks!

One of my favorite restaurants in Durham region, never had a bad experience until now. Price increases were expected but they moved the entire menu offering upscale. They should have not touched it because it was a great menu. They changed the brownie now it's like bad cake. Apple crisp dry. They changed the ice cream to fake dairy dessert that doesn't melt. You guys had it almost perfect for years don't screw it up

Great food. Very tasty and nicely presented. Very franchise looking establishment. I wouldnt say that it had a real pub feel. But it was still nice. Lots of TV's so easy to catch some sports. Waitress was ok. Perfunctory at best. But the food did come quickly. Over all a decent experience.

Great staff along with great food. Service right away. We will definitely be back. Prices are decent. Vegan Friendly. Last but not least our friendly waitress aryan was the best ever, also Candace the bartender is great!

My family loves Charley Ronicks! The food is excellent and the service is always friendly. We’ve been served by Aryan several times and she is always super friendly and has a smile on her face! My kids especially love the wide variety of choices on the kids menu. Something for everyone, especially picky eaters! My mom and I love the huge appetizer menu! One of our favourite spots in Durham!

I do like the service, and the food is very good. I only gave 3 stars as I will review this restaurant again after a few months. I have been there 3 times in two weeks. In many cases after you go to a restaurant for quite awhile they seem to not hurry for regulars. Lets keep our fingers crossed.

Monday night was date night! We have been a couple times before and strange as it sounds didn’t realize we had a great time. This time was no different. Great service, wings are excellent and they had our beer. It wasn’t packed but busy enough, despite that the noise wasn’t noticeable. Sat right away, our waitress (I’m sorry I don’t remember your name) was amazing. We ordered wings and all the sauces. Had an excellent time connecting. To top it off, 4 pints, 2lbs of wings, extra veg and extra sauces was only $57 before tax. Super reasonable. If I’m giving feedback your menu is like Cheesecake Factory. Goes on forever. But maybe everything is good? 10/10 for our experience!

Service was not the greatest, seemed like our server was the only one on and it wasn’t that busy but trying to get refills or even napkins was a challenge. Would come to the table and run away before anyone else could ask for anything so she ended up having to make 7 trips in a row and then she’d be gone again for a while. We ended up ordering our appetizers all at separate times because she wouldn’t wait and ask if anyone else wanted anything so we had to flag her down to order the next app and then she’d walk away immediately. Food was just okay. I had a pasta dish which was pretty good except the vegetables were not fully cooked. My boyfriend said his wings were not good at all which shocked us because all the reviews say how amazing they are. My sisters boyfriend got a steak sandwich and not only did they not ask how he wanted it cooked but the peppers and onions on the sandwich were raw. Overall just a below average experience sadly. Drinks were really good and the manager came to say hi at one point, the atmosphere was really nice as well.

We came in with a big group for my friends party, from the moment we walked in, we had great, friendly service! And was served quickly with super hot food that was extremely tasty! Will definitely be back!
