Not even one star! The worst hotel I have ever stayed around the world. 1. From online it says $110-120 now I pay $160 weekday one night for one queen bed 2. When you step in the room, you can smell smoking even though the door has non-smoking sticker 3. When you turn on shower, you should be careful not to burn yourself 4. The air conditioner noise will kill you so literally you cannot sleep in a hotel 5. For this grab and go breakfast, you will get frozen sausage and flat egg on your plate so you go to manager to just ask to heat it up with microwave. The microwave never works and she says ‘We have only ONE microwave.’

If I could give zero stars I would. DO NOT STAY HERE. Our room had a strong foul smell that was masked by a nasty perfume, and what appeared to be a blood stain on the floor. Raised concerns to staff- as paying for this condition of a room is absolutely unacceptable, especially at over $200 for a night. Staff moved us rooms, after making a fuss, saying they were fully booked. 2nd room was filthy. Smears all over bathroom mirror, feces on the toilet, blankets stuffed into drawers. Again, said to the staff this is absolutely disgusting. They reluctantly moved us to a 3rd room, which only had one bed (when we originally booked and paid for a room with 2 beds). The staff did not seem to care and only said they would speak to the cleaning team... which doesn't help our situation at all. Incredibly disgusted and disappointed that we had to pay for this service, what a disgrace of a hotel. The staff was very unprofessional and seemed to be annoyed at our request for a clean, presentable room. I am embarrassed for this hotel. Avoid this place.

The rooms smell thick. Beds are rock hard. We asked for extra blankets and sheets and were told no extras of anything and was given attitude for even asking. Paid for our hotel online and was told on arrival we needed another 100 security deposit. I understand the want/need for it but there was no warning. Breakfast was good. Location was good. Wouldn't stay here again.

1 night stay in this no-frills hotel to go on a Toronto Zoo adventure the following day. We had a standard queen room. It was in line with what we paid. Room was clean, the pillows were small but we thought they were comfy. The breakfast goes from 6:30 to 9:30 which we thought was a bit too early to end it but we were happy with the offerings: eggs, sausage, cereal, fruit, waffles, yogurt toast, pastries. The guest staff were kind and helpful. Good stay overall.

Overall I’ve been to a decent amount of hotels and always had kind service , this comfort in has the WORST customer service I’ve ever experienced. Rooms are okay that’s why I gave it a 2 star. rude and unpleasant staff that takes their anger out on guests. Wouldn’t recommend, spend an extra 20 bucks and stay elsewhere !

I was a little worried when I booked our stay after reading some of the other reviews, but could not bring myself to book a hotel at 400$ a night elsewhere. There was nothing to worry about! Everything was clean and staff was pleasant to deal with. With the patio doors closed we didn't hear the 401 traffic even though our room was close to the highway. Breakfast was well stocked and hot. No signs of bedbugs anywhere. Lots and lots of restaurants around to choose from, also short drive to go train station to travel in to Toronto. Yes there's some updating to do of things like showers or patio doors but obviously that's going to be a reality of cheaper and older hotels! Nothing wrong with it though!

Decent service for a motel. The room that we stayed in, the toilet was leaking water, which made the floors wet and damp. Aside from that, the beds were super comfy, you get your own climate control, a mini fridge and a microwave. Breakfast was better than expected, I wish they had a few more healthier items. Overall it was a good stay and the spot was right near the 401 highway. It’s a good family motel, I would recommend it.

Check in was smooth, staff was very nice and helpful both front desk, cleaners and breakfast room staff. I think the previous reviews are cap, this is not The Ritz-Carlton or Four Seasons. For its class, it’s a great hotel and I’ll lodge there again. Awesome Job Comfort Inn 👍🏼

I don't post reviews that often, but I would like to commend the staff that handled my booking cancellation. I'm sorry if I didn't get your name, but I appreciate you. We were already on our way but we had to cancel due to a personal emergency. The staff/staffs that handled the matter handled it perfectly, no questions asked. Thank you again! Also, the price point was reasonable considering that I booked our room the same day.

Having arrived on the wrong day, I was really appreciative of the patience and empathy received by the front desk staff while trying to fix the error. They found us a room right away and all was good. Later on, when trying to fix the original booking, the manager Sandra went above and beyond to fix our error. Everyone there is very hard working and great to deal with, and at the end of a long exhausting day, it was wonderful. Thanks for all your help. I will stay again for sure.

We've stayed at this location before, and last time, the room was great. This time it was...not. The room smelled musty, the carpet was awfully dirty, and the phone didn't work. The staff this time around was not friendly and not helpful when we went to ask them for help with miscellaneous things. It's a shame that different floors have such a change in quality.

Where do I start? The room is adequate, double beds make it ok. The room clearly was not thoroughly cleaned, we found beer caps on the a/c unit and some toe bandages on the floor. I guess when you go to a lower class hotel, that's what you get. Beds were very uncomfortable, would not recommend or stay there again.

Not sure if the rooms vary greatly in quality but I really don't understand the negative reviews. We got stuck on Christmas eve due to a snowstorm so we had to shack up here for one night. Room was clean, smelled fine, and was spacious with a couch, desk, nice sized TV, mini fridge and coffee maker. The breakfast was pretty good too with fresh waffle maker, eggs, sausages, and various pre-made pastries as well as juice, coffee, yogurt, fruits, etc. I just stayed a week in a Fairmont hotel before this so its not like I don't know 5 star hotels but this was a great value for the price in my opinion! Thanks!

I was falsely informed when booking this hotel. When I arrived to the hotel I was informed of an additional $250 charge, that was not posted on the website that I booked with (Choices). Upon arrival I ask can I pay cash because I am both from Canada and a hold on my card would take 5-10 business days to return to my card. The lady to the front desk was very very rude and dismissive. I offered to pay the deposit cash and allow the front desk staff to come up to the room upon my check out to verify that everything is fine still I was met with a dismissive and hostile behavior.

I have stayed here 3 times now. Every single time, I have to go and get new key cards because the ones issued stop working. The last time there, there were still suitcases in the room. After finally convincing the desk people that there were indeed peoples things in the room, we were given another room with access to the outside through a patio door, which was difficult to both lock and unlock. The rooms have clean bedding, but there is a lot of dust on the walls, and television.

Note: BED BUGS! We stayed here many times when visiting family before Covid- all of which were great experiences for a 2 star hotel. We went to check in last night and it was visibly more run down than previous times we had been there. We came to check in at 10pm but they did not have our reservation on file, even though we had it reserved the day before and had an email with a confirmation number, they said it had been canceled. They said they could still get us a room, and while we were waiting a guest came into the lobby from a room upstairs showing that he had bug bites all over his elbow and had a picture of bed bugs he had just found in his bed. They told him it would be 10 minutes for someone to come and vacuum his room- he demanded a new room all together, which they did provide without hesitation but that should have been the first response- a vacuum will not suffice and bed bugs in only one room is very unlikely. Needless to say, we left right away. We were grateful that this man came down when he did- a few minutes earlier or later and we may have found out the hard way, but also felt terrible for him. Posting so others do not unknowingly walk into the same scenario as he did and as we almost did.

Rooms are comfortable. Lacking a few minor amenities like a coffee maker. Coffee station is available but it was empty. We had a large single queen room but it only had one bedside table.

I have stayed in this hotel as business class, on April 18 at 6 pm. My partner and I left separately and my partner frogat to give me the second key. I came back at 8:30 pm asking the reception lady not sure what is her name, but she refused to assist me I tried all the ways that she asked but she Capt refusing. All my co-workers that are staying here having this issue with the same person. We stay here 3-4 days every week. Now we will contact our company about this issue, and will refuse to stay here anymore.

Our room, and most of the hotel, smelt of moisture and mould. We opened the sofa bed in our room to sleep on and the mattresses had stains and mouse droppings. We were unable to get a refund and had to stay here , but unfortunately after this experience I will be shying away from any 2 star hotels. Breakfast was available every morning, staff were helpful and pleasant.

Spent a few nights here, and the place was well kept and welcoming. The manager on duty, Saly, was really helpful and friendly. I had a few concerns this morning and she took care of them immediately. I would definitely stay here again in the future.

Not a great experience. When I arrived, I had prepaid and they were still trying to charge me for the room plus a deposit of 250$. Then I said I heard the other employee only asking for 100$ deposit. Finally, the employee just cancelled my deposit. There is no elevator so I struggled my heavy bag up the flight of stairs to my room. The floors in my room were sticky, the bed was very hard and uncomfortable, and you can't control the a/c so it was hot and muggy. You get what you pay for I guess, this place was inexpensive but trash.

Was a great 2 nights at the comfort Inn meeting new people with my service dog On the third morning I felt like the front desk attendant was aggressively trying to ruin our stay with new rules for us people with service dogs we were told we had to leave our services dogs in the room while we were getting breakfast I politely replied she's a service dog clearly marked would you like to see her documents and ID she replied with you cannot bring your service dogs in here you will have to leave them in the room while you get breakfast off the table while the SERVICE DOG is behaving on the floor. I chose not to argue instead I walked away from the lady that was out to have us REMOVED FROM THE HOTEL BECAUSE WE HAD A SERVICE DOG WITH ID and proper documents and clearly labeled SERVICE DOG If you respect the label of Service Dog DONT GO HERE they are not treating customers and there service dogs with respect making the animals wait in the room when service dogs are to be accepted everywhere humans or customers are welcome including places with dining establishments DONT BOTHER BRINGING YOUR SERVICE DOG HERE THEY AREN'T RESPECTED

The hallways and rooms have a thick unpleasant distinct smell, like a old mouldy carpet that’s been washed with cheap hand sanitizer. We stayed here for 6 days and we constantly had to use air fresheners to lighten up the smell. The place is super old and needs some serious renovations especially with the carpets and the bathrooms. It’s worth it to spend the extra $$ and get a place that’s a little better so you can fully enjoy your stay

Clean and quiet. Good value for the cost. Saved a few dollars being a member of the points program. Breakfast was typical fare with decent variety. 24 hour coffee was a bonus for me and it was not bad.

Prebooked from Expedia a room with one queen sized bed. We arrived and the receptionist was very nice and helpful. The room was clean and honestly even though it's a 3 star place, with the renovations they did to the washroom and the nice style and cleanliness, I have no complaints. Don't expect a view as it's not known or placed for a view, but if you get a downstairs room you have your own patio. Really nice place and quite affordable. Was about $140 for one night considering I booked around 7pm and checked in at 9pm. Next day we accidentally stayed an hour longer than check out time, we weren't aware of the time, but the front desk was understanding and gave us time to get our things before checking us out without charging us more. I will definitely use again.

I feel like most of these reviews are fake. We left about 5 minutes after checking in. The state of the hotel was revolting. The ceiling was falling apart, garbage piled in the hallways, staff not wearing a mask and our room smelled of smoke and there were bugs in the bed. I have never been to a more disgusting hotel. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!

Nice clean rooms. Friendly staff. A solid 3 star hotel. We stayed here because it was 10 mins away from the Toronto zoo. I will stay here again the next time I visit the zoo. I recommend this place.

We reserved our rooms 1 month ago... Upon arrival, we go to check in and they have no record for us.? The manager scrounged us up 2 rooms. Over all its a pretty crumby place. Would only stay here again as a last resort. More of a motel than a hotel.

I got to the front desk at 2:55 to be told by Juliet that she was just preparing her station because her shift starts at 3:00. Waited til 3:00. Please remember I just stayed here last week and had no issues with the front desk. She asked for my credit card and I told her I did not like to lose sight of my card. After that it all went down hill. She gave me my room key and I said, oh but you didn’t ask me where in the building I wanted to stay. I said the back would be nice. She said there were no rooms available and this is the room that was in the computer for me. I said this entire hotel is full for tonight. She said yes we are full every night from Sunday to Friday. I got to my room, called front desk using my cell phone, spoke with Juliet and asked if she had any rooms for tonight. She said YES! I said well this was me in room 258. Then she started to back paddle and say there were no rooms available in the back of the building. I will be speaking to her manager tonight.

We arrived late after a long drive from New Brunswick. The staff was nice hotel was clean. Room was clean and comfortable. We asked for a main floor room and they were very accommodating. Overall a comfortable stay just a little dated.

  • 1/5 James 2 years ago on Google
First of all the guy at the front desk was rude and knows nothing about check in policy. Not only were we given all kinds of false information when we asked about our special request to stay in a first floor room due to injury he told us no those rooms cost more. Never in my life have I ever been told that a first floor room is more expensive than a room on the second floor at any hotel ever. If you are outside late at night you will see what's really going on at this hotel and why they leave the first floor rooms vacant lying to incoming paying customers. They have constant traffic going in and out with lady's of the night. Nowonder they tell people they have no vacant rooms and won't give the first floor ones to a customer who requested it online while booking. The rooms are dated the shower is terrible and dirty the bed is tiny and uncomfortable. By far the worst hotel I have stayed at and will never be back. P.S get a tv from this century how embarassing

  • 1/5 Tia W. 1 year ago on Google
Firstly, the look of the hotel and rooms did not match the online pictures. It was definitely more dingy in person and gave sketchy vibes. After checking in I want up to my room and found it propped open by the door lock, which I found unusual. As soon I entered the room I was greeting with an overwhelming urine scent and noticed the windows were open. I went to the front desk to request a room change. They told me they were fully booked and did not have another room to offer me. The manager kindly offered me a spray bottle to clean the room and rid the room of the smell. I denied and asked for a refund. The manager instructed the employee not to give me a receipt of the cancelled fees and said “don’t worry it’s cancelled”. I had to tell her that was unacceptable and I was to be given proof of cancellation to ensure there would be no charges on my credit. Needless to say….would highly recommend this place be avoided.

Staffs are friendly and helpful. Room condition is sparkling clean with no chemical scent. Breakfast is variety and good portion. Highly recommend in Pickering area.

  • 4/5 Caroline R. 1 year ago on Google
Decent hotel, friendly staff, room was clean, bed was comfy, television worked (even included a little sheet listing all of the different channels). The shower could have been a tiny bit warmer but for one night, it was perfectly fine. Free breakfast in the morning was good. Really liked the waffle making machine. No issues with the free Wi-Fi. Hotel is surrounded by various pubs in the area. Slightly pricey for one night (but that is probably due to inflation). Overall, I'd come back and stay here again. I recommend it.

  • 4/5 Al H. 2 years ago on Google
The first room they booked us smelled like cat pee, and strong fragrance to mask thar was nauseating. The second room was basic and cozy and worth the money we paid. Clean cozy sheets and nice hot showers.

  • 3/5 Jason F. 2 years ago on Google
The place is clearly a little old but for the price, it's not bad at all. The breed was comfy and the service at the front desk was great and friendly. Assuming you have a vehicle you've got access to a lot of restaurants and other amenities.

  • 2/5 Robert H. 1 year ago on Google
I booked in person and got charged more when they hadn’t listed online at the time of my trip. Unbelievable. On top of that, the management wants to deny any wrongdoing on their behalf. Not to mention that other guests kept messing around with their thermostat which chilled my room by morning. Also, the gym was closed! The only good part was the food and shower. Will not be staying here again.

  • 4/5 Jodi P. 1 year ago on Google
Friendly staff, room could have been cleaner. Carpets weren't vacuumed, broken head board on one of the beds, film or fog on bathroom mirror. Breakfast was good lots of options for buffet style breakfast. Key card wouldn't work but staff were quick to replace with one that did.

  • 4/5 M W. 1 year ago on Google
Exactly what we were looking for. Good room at a reasonable price. Right off the 401 so we were able to drive into Toronto for the day without having to pay Toronto prices. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Only complaint was that the coffee at the hotel is terrible.
