Came into this establishment this morning to get a coffee. I was not acknowledged and was the next person in line to be served but neither the owner or the woman also behind the counter seemed interested in acknowledging my presence or letting me know it would be a moment before they got to me but rather continued in long conversation with the woman in front of me. Only when I decided to leave did a faint “hello can I help you” seem to be uttered. Look, as a person of colour, tired of the micro-agressive not so subtle attempts to pick and choose who should be showed respect. If you have a business are you not interested in making money ? I have no time to waste giving money to these types of establishments; would rather pay $6 dollars for a really good latte with superb customer service than to spend almost that in an establishment that blatantly acts this way with customers. Do better and stop picking and choosing who you will show courtesy to. Consumers have lots of choices out here, I exercised that choice today by going to another premium coffee shop. There seems to be alot of negative reviews about this location related to rudeness and poor attitude, yet it continues. As a store owner, you do not provide a memorable experience as a business, before long you won’t be around for too long.

This location has dependable tables and wifi, but the owners are not that friendly compared to a Starbucks. They seem obsessed with people using the washroom. There are signs all over the place and are constantly telling people that the washroom is for "paying customers". Some people use the restroom before ordering and they will be all over them about needing to buy something. I have also seen them lie to people that the washroom is down for repairs, but it wasn't as I had just used the restroom. It might cost them 2 cents for someone to flush the toilet. I even see the owner yell at his employees to speak up about "paying customers" can only use the washroom. Come on, be friendly with people. As a paying customer, I don't like seeing people interrogated for using the restroom. Be kind.

Not the friendliest of locations. This second cup has been around for a while and hasn't changed much. Service here is a bit slow and prices are pretty high. However the atmosphere inside is pretty good if you're looking for a chill place to do some work, catch up with a friend and grab some coffee. I have noticed that they are one of the few coffee shops that offer sliced cake in addition to pastries. Their Frozen Hot Chocolate is really tasty, but a tad expensive, especially for a small.

Such a lovely spot. Visited more than twice. This time they were about to close on the long weekend and still took our order and made it so quick. Really lovely people work here.

My favourite coffee shop! It’s not as busy as other coffee places like Starbucks. There is always a seats available to sit and it’s a good place to get some work done. I love the breakfast cookie and the iced caramel latte is one of the best lattes I have ever had!

The old lady is abusive, which got the worst of me. After I returned from the washroom, she educated me on a straw paper package she found on the floor, “the garbage bin is over there.” When I ordered a second item, she was welcoming. However, when I told her I needed a receipt, she started to serve the woman behind me and hospitably asked her if she needed a receipt. (when I purchased the first item a while ago, I asked for a receipt to check the balance of my reward points and politely asked her a question about it which, to my surprise, immensely annoyed her.) As I politely asked for my receipt again, she told me she could not get it. In both cases, it was the guy that got intervened in the end and adequately served my requests. The old lady, if you hate to do your job, you should not work in this industry.

The baristas seem new or not interested to help. Doesn't feel like a second cup location. Makes the franchise look really bad.

Been a while since going to a Second Cup. Ordered the watermelon pear drink. 2 options available, over ice or crushed ice to turn it into slush. Great greeting upon entering and great service.

Horrible service. The lady made my drink wrong and would not redo it. I asked for extra foam, no foam. She didn’t even put the proper number of teabags so my tea latte was just pure milk. Moreover, when I was talking to her about, she didn’t even listen to me and was talking to someone else on the phone.

I will always suggest Second Cup for a morning hot chocolate and/or group meetings. The staff is very friendly and it a wonderful place to be!

The coffee itself tastes okay but the customer service is awful. The man/owner is extremely rude and aggressive. I reiterated that I wanted more pumps of vanilla syrup, so the woman working there asked him to confirm - he yelled at her in front of us and my drink didn’t even end up tasting like vanilla, just milk. They don’t measure anything they just eyeball the amounts of coffee/milk/syrup etc. I’ve lived close to this location for the last 10 years and have gone a handful of times over the years, and the service is consistently disappointing.

Had a emergency today and had to use their washroom. Didn't have my wallet but like I said it was a emergency. When I was leaving the manager and his wife screamed at me and demanded I order a coffee. It was frightening and embarrassing. when I left the store the manager used foul language and gave me the middle finger. I'm planning on writing a letter to second cup so this type of behavior doesn't happen to someone. And please don't offer an apology and your email address. Not interested

This place is very unwelcoming, I did not feel at home. The owner was quite rude and made it difficult to be comfortable. Second cup? more like last cup, because this is the last time im going there.

Went to this location and ordered Hot chocolate. I was seating working on my laptop and the owner came and he was talking to his employees that he doesn’t like when somebody sits with just one item. He kept stocking me and kept mentioning to his employees that this is not acceptable. I bought something at your cafe, I am working on my laptop alone quietly and still ypu show this negative attitude. Is this how you treat your customers?Ridiculous experience. I would not visit this cafe again.

One of the worst experience. Unwelcoming staffs and the bathroom is so dirty. The coffee is average tho. Won’t come back again

Looks nice in picture and site. I like some second cup cafe. February 2022- My plan to have a meeting in this location so before that I went to check their coffee, pastries and environment, I am so glad i checked it out, was a disappointment. Their coffee and pastry taste bad, looks old, small of burned plastic was so strong, environment was dark and unorganized. I didn’t get the vibe.

I love second cup coffee but this branch is sooo bad!! She just serves you boiled back quality coffee and charges you for latte... horrible experience.. 👎🏻

Only got one cup ;) would recommend for a cool shop for WiFi and to get some work done. Friendly staff, good selection of scones and muffins. Clean bathrooms. Lots of parking.

Try coffee first time here but it was not that good, the price is similar when I compare with Starbucks but the coffee quality is worth the price. Atmosphere and customer service is good here.

Went to the drive-in this evening after 7pm (the store closes at 8pm) and ordered a pumpkin spice latte through the intercom and was told to drive up to the window. While waiting at the window, I was replying to a few text messages. I kept looking up waiting for the window to open for my drink and to pay. I saw a female walk past the window mopping the floor, another employee putting something a book in his bag.. still waiting for my drink!! After 8 minutes I honked my car horn a couple of times and a male employee came to the window. I asked him what happened to my drink, he says something to someone else inside and says to me, "oh sorry she forgot about your drink". I was SHOCKED!!! I was the ONLY one in the drive through, inside was NOT busy or hectic. The drive from the intercom to the window is maybe 3 seconds. How was my order forgotten??? The male employee told me it would take a minute to make the drink, I told him nevermind because I was completely turned off from this lack service and decided to go elsewhere for my pumpkin spice latte. Second Cup, y'all have to do better!!

Been a regular here for years for all my caffeinated drinks! Their pumpkin spice latte, toasted coconut and pistachio lattes are to die for. The vibe of this particular location is just awesome - inviting and homey. Love this place, love the staff and so glad they’re still up & running. Their regular drip coffee is great too. A great alternative if you’re apart of the *$’s boycott as well ! 🇵🇸☺️ highly recco 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

I actually didn't go there. I only called to find out closest locations near me. But every time I went there before, I was always satisfied with the choice of food and sweets , and special coffees were made perfectly tasty and beautifully presented🥰.

Love this location of Second Cup. Very friendly staff who make great drinks. On my last visit they were kind enough to give me a bowl of water and a pup cup for our dog.

The service seems to have improved in comparison to the reviews I’ve read. Each time I’ve gone, it’s been positive from food quality to service. Give it a try.

My wife came to see if they had any Christmas merchandise (ornaments, decorations, etc). We were rudely told no and repeatedly asked to buy coffee or food instead. Even as we were leaving, the person behind the bar tried to pressure to buy a coffee. Terrible attitude, you should avoid.

Got a maple oat latte and it was so so good! She made it perfectly and both who were working were very kind!

The quality here has excelled. thanks to the new owner. All the food tastes fresh. Along with that the service is quite efficient. While inside the atmosphere was so relaxing. A great location to get away if you are feeling stressed out. Be sure when you visit to order the cake. As that happens to be their specialty. This Second Cup will expect to see me again.

Nice spot for a regular coffee. I had a flat white but the shot they pulled tasted burnt and bitter. Service was okay

After the lady made me wait a while to redeem points for a free drink, while being very unwelcoming, she told me her machine wasn't working and was unable to give me it. Not my fault, it was a waste of my time and a drive to be treated to nothing. I'll take my business elsewhere.

Great local Coffee shop. The owners are great. I've come a few times and they memorized my order. Not many places you can go to anymore and get that kind of treatment. Sad to see some negative reviews on here. Coffee is quality, food is delicious and the desserts are amazing with lots of varieties.

Looking forward to my morning coffee.. reversed the order so no one got what they liked in the size they and to top it off.. they weren't latte or cappuccinos.. just milky coffee. At least I have learned to get emergency black coffee !! They have great black coffee

Extremely pathetic and rude customer service, they don't get your simple coffee instructions and if you politely ask them to correct it their tone and behaviour changes! specially the the guy (idk if he's the owner) NEVER RETURNING BACKHERE AGAIN!
