Parking is very limited at the Whitevale. The trail is well marked. The trail runs from north at Highway 7 to south at Old Taunton Road. Hiked the section from Whitevale to Old Taunton and back. It was about 11km. The weather was nice, the trail was a little busy. It was very enjoyable walk.

Good things to say - Nice trails with lots of shades. - Pretty nice trail for light hiking/walking. - Not much insects - Friendly for kids (but perhaps not suitable for strollers) Not so good things - Few areas need immediate maintenance. The small bridge at start of the trails is a live hazard - Narrow natural pathways, watch your kids for safety - Not very common, but speedy bikers are scary.

Loved it. However this trail is known for tics at this time of the year. Some of the warning signs in the trail was broken and on the floor. Doesn't look like the authorities taking care of the trail and safety issues for this trail. Many people are also not obeying the laws.

Beautiful hiking spot, the views are fantastic, it’s quiet and remote but in the city. Lots of birds, fish, and neat things to see. It’s very clean which was nice, no garbage thankfully! It is not an accessible trail so beware of that. At the entrance/ parking there is green space and picnic areas too.

Beautiful hiking trail along the river - entertaining ear with streaming sound from river! However, a serious concern after reading about the tick insect that can cause a serious illness (pls see the notice in one of the attached pictures).

Get away from it all, without going far. Well maintained though natural moderate trail, quite a few stairs. We did the whole length back and forth in 7 hours.

Amazing hiking trail with pretty clear directions. The trail is super long, we cut back during the middle. Path was super icy, so please be prepared. Parking can be limited!

Nice quite trail. Playground for the kids and big grass area for picnic. Also a roofed area with benches. The trail was very muddy when we went due to rain but it was still beautiful. Dogs must be on leash but I let Theo run since no one else hikes in the rain apparently. River view is very nice and Theo played in the water a bit. This is not a loop trail but the whole trail id say will take couple of hours round trip.

Other than being tad bit overgrown it's a good trail to go to . There is a nice clean Creek running through (some mosquitos around to big you :) ) Close to the city fairly easy to locate. We got on the trial on Hwy 7 got on the second part of the trail under the 407 and went further south. We didn't do the entire trail we turned back at some point . Part of the trail is accessible for mountain biking .

Seaton trail is a great place for hiking and leisure walking , there’s a river and it’s not smelly and the forest are old and very tall, it’s like it touches the sky, people walk their dogs as well. The forest is old and there’s lots of mosquitoes, ( I know for sure) I’ve heard that ticks are also present here so be careful, wear light coloured pants and tuck them inside your socks also try to avoid tall grass. Enjoy !!

Amazing walk through the woods. The trail is very clearly marked out and easy to follow with lots of interesting diversions. Be warned though that the Whitevale Rd car park has very limited spaces, maybe a dozen vehicles or so, and no public toilets at the time we visited.

First time hiking the trail. Beautiful views of the stream. Lots of wooded areas which makes it just as exciting. It's an easy to moderate hike.

Very cute and quiet trail. Dogs must be on leash, and all dogs we came across were friendly. The trail is easy to navigate, with many pretty views along the way. Definitely will be coming back again - worth checking out!

Very long trail but mostly easy to follow to the end. The lookout point at the end was interesting to view. Parking could be a challenge if the area is full

I came to this trail with friends one rainy Saturday morning, just after sunrise. It's a beautiful well-marked trail with a fast-flowing river running alongside. It is for the most part easy, with a few moderately challenging parts. The moderately difficult parts included have to climb down rocks to a small creek before climbing back up and out, as well as needing to climb a few steep hills. This is not a trail for wheelchairs or strollers. A part of the trail ran along the side of a cliff---clear signs warned that the cliff edge could collapse. If you are afraid of heights you might want to walk somewhere else. Because of the rain the trail was slippery and muddy, but we passed several people running the trail. At the end of the trail there is a well-constructed pavilion with picnic benches that we took advantage of to drink tea and chat about our time on Seaton Trail. Super trail, I can't wait to come back and explore it some more!

I've been on this trail many times during the last few years since it's close to where we live. It's a linear trail, and around 12-13km single way. It's divided to 3 sections by parking lots, so total 4 parking lots. The trail is clean, well marked and mostly well maintained. I will say it's probably considered moderate by many people since there are quite a few hills/slops and several sets of stairs along the middle and southern sections. The northern section is short and flat though. However, I think most people who like walking should be able to manage and enjoy a walk on this trail. The trail is different and beautiful in every season. If you like walking in the snowy woods like I do, get a pair of crampons and come during and after a decent snow. You won't regret it.

Beautiful trail. Generally not crowded if you hit it before 11am. Superb for hiking, trail running or MTB. Always bring my two pooches to accompany me and they love the trail too.
