We decided to give this restaurant a try for dinner after reading positive reviews, but our experience left much to be desired. As we approached the entrance, we were greeted by an unsightly collection of ashtray buckets, and the presence of numerous smokers congregating near the front door was rather displeasing. Upon entering, we found the restaurant nearly empty, with only a few patrons seated at the bar. A waitress behind the bar caught our attention but made no effort to approach us or offer a friendly greeting. Instead, she engaged in casual conversation with another customer while sparing only occasional glances in our direction. It felt like she was waiting for us to initiate the conversation, which did little to create a welcoming atmosphere. She slowly made her way over, so we informed her that we needed a moment to look at the menu, I took the opportunity to assess the overall condition of the restaurant. Unfortunately, it appeared to be somewhat neglected in terms of cleanliness and upkeep, raising concerns about the quality of the food. This, combined with the lackluster atmosphere, led us to decide against dining here. Our initial experience made us wonder why we were met with such a lack of hospitality and whether this was a common occurrence for other patrons.

Always passed by this place & decided to drop in and check it out. Needless to say, I guess there's a reason we never checked it out. Dark, dingy atmosphere. Didn't get a good vibe upon entering and the greeting was not welcoming either. Not very clean atmosphere or floors. We returned menus and headed down to Ajax.

Great Pub atmosphere. The food is amazing. I had the Mediterranean burger with fries. So good and filling.

Attended an event called Tequila & Brunch here! It was a nice atmosphere with a nice patio & spacious smoking area. Check it out

Very, very disappointed by everything, ESPECIALLY the food. We ordered a few appetizers; nachos, chilli chicken bites, bruschetta and the spinach dip. The nachos cost almost 20$ for only a few chips with a sprinkle of cheese, absolutely ridiculous. We paid for some chicken on top and got one or two pieces. The chicken bites came on top of soggy fries, very strange and do not understand at all. The bruschetta was a few pieces of what appeared to be frozen garlic bread with a sprinkle of cheese on top. Not good at all. The spinach dip was the only decent thing we tried. Very, very disappointing and a complete waste of money.

Great hospitality N nice food

Need I say more? This place is amazing. The Pot Roast & Yorkshire dinner is such a great meal. And such an amazing value. We have been ordering takeout from this restaurant since before the pandemic and have never had a bad meal. We absolutely love it. Always consistent and good food.

The place is awesome. The vibe is great. The host was friendly. The portions you get for food is huge quantity. We ordered 3 dishes for 2 but had to pack everything later because we could not even finish one. Food was delicious.

BE WARNED: Ordered food from this place to eat on Christmas Eve, woke up on Christmas morning absolutely puking my guts out. Place genuinely gave me the worst food poisoning I have ever had. I am only just recovering now, I was considering going to the hospital but really did not want to be in the emergency room on Christmas. Luckily it has passed but that was probably the most sick I have ever been in my life. I have done a covid test which has come back negative, so I know for a fact it was the food from this place. Be careful.

Great service. Great music at a low volume as it should be (so you can chat). Beer selection is good but too mainstream. Steam Whistle and 1664 are on-tap at least. French onion soup’s appearance is excellent (see photo); however, it’s under-seasoned. Burgers have promising descriptions on the menu but miss the mark on flavour, meatiness, char and juiciness—not recommended. Wings are reallly, really good; you can have them breaded or non-breaded. Sauce is store-bought. Suicide wings are just-right in terms of heat. Chicken pot pie is ´meh’. Veggies on plate are fresh and done to perfection. You won’t be disappointed here but you won’t be clawing your way back for a second visit either.

Huge number of food offerings but I wish I'd ordered something other than a salad. The lettuce, cucumber and tomato tasted like it had been in the fridge a little too long and the faintly grilled pineapple slice had a slight tinny taste. I was impressed with the fact that the chicken was actual chunks of chicken and not the handy pre cooked kind with fake grill marks that a lot of places serve. Big points for clean washrooms and the great renos done to the place! We'll give them another chance one day once people start going out a little more often.

The spot is fantastic and spacious, the menu was delicious and the prices were very inexpensive. rapidly, productive service and very attentive staff members. I highly recommend this place.

Visited here for lunch. Food was very good. Ashley our server/bartender was very friendly. definitely a pub. Background music was perfect, my choice of music. Their menu is Irish/ British themed but is a little too extensive, it needs to be pared down ,there is too many choices, concentrate on you favourites. Food and service and pies were great, we will return.

The burger and fries special was quality. It was a good sized burger. I did not leave hungry. Our server was excellent as well. I've been here a few times now and each time was good

Pros - waitress seems very nice - food was great; wings were not breaded(no extra carbs which is good), and the mild sauce was good. I also ordered the waffle fries which were crisp and presented a nice crunch with each bite. - this pub does have daily specials, however, I did not know until I spotted it from behind the bar. Cons - no beer menu - was not told of the specials - had to find out by myself - food menu is left something to be desired. It feels out of date and not easy to navigate - not even the waitress could not find the sides and had to go from memory.

The waitress tried her best but completely forgot two out of 5 orders. It took forever for nachos which had zero cheese on them. The food was Garbage. Glasses still had lipstick on it and the beer smelt rancid. Never again.

I had the Mediterranean wrap with a Greek salad on the side. The salad was huge. Don't know how they stuffed as.much into the wrap that they did. Excellent meal

I heard of this restaurant from multiple locals and was excited to try. My family and I ordered for delivery, and while choosing butter chicken from a pub and expecting it to be good is a long shot, I expected at least a decent meal. If you are at all not used to chowing down a mass amount of spices, please avoid this dish. I have eaten at authentic restaurants and never had butter chicken been almost lethal with spices. It caused my mouth tongue and throat to practically burn and after the first few bites I wanted to toss it out. The rice isn’t even satisfactory, it’s bland and doesn’t even help to lessen the amount of spiciness. I will not be having butter chicken from pubs anymore, lesson severely learned. Save your wallet.

Had the schnitzel for take out and it was absolutely delicious! Wings were great as well.

First time visiting this place. As others mentioned, the ambiance is a little lacking. But what’s lacking is more than made up for by the amazing service and great food. Fair selection of beer on tap. Our family of 5 ordered the Fish n Chips, Banquet Burger, Mac n Cheese, Chicken Parmesan Dinner, Chipotle Chicken Wrap. All were so good. The portions are unbelievably huge!! Most impressed with the great service from our waitress!!

I was expecting nothing much. OK so the ambiance is pretty sparse and the great beer prices attract some rummies, but HOLY the food is fantastic! I've been there 2x in a week just to prove it wasn't a fluke...it ain't! But as crazy-good as the food is, the service is even better! My crew was pampered by an amazing server from Dubai. I don't remember the last time I had this good a time in a Pub-like restaurant. This place punches way over their weight.

Great pub food, amazing prices. Always friendly and helpful staff. Recently renovated, looks great. Last visit we got bonus homemade banana cake 11/10 would recommend!!

Ordered a pile of medium wings. They came out one hundred percent plain. Never had seen that before. Sorry, won’t be making this place as my local hangout.

East End Pub has become my family's go to pub. They have $0.70 wings when the TMLs play and they are the best wings!!

Service was horrible, food was good but had to go chasing for a beer and a ketchup and mustard for my burger because apparently they don't give that to u and when they did it was empty, wanted another beer but nope they didn't bother coming back to the table that was a joke then to top the evening off my daughter didn't get her meal we waited til everyone finished theirs and she still didn't get it, nothing was done horrible horrible service never again!

The food was really good. Lots of options to choose from. The service was a little slow but it was understandably so due to what I'm assuming was an unforseen rush. Atmosphere? Generic pub.

They could not get my order right and when I called they told me too bad no one can bring you your proper order 😬. Pizza is a flat bread pizza not even real pizza. No flavour to the food. Never again 🤮🤮

I could have stayed all day. Staff are great. The variety and quality of food on the menu is wonderful. Taps are cold, lots to choose from prices are very reasonable.

So this was my first time here, and I dont normally due reviews but this has to happen. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Arrived there today at 11 am. With some softball buddies as we had an hour and a half to eat and digest before our next 2 games.Expecting to get breakfast as the sign clearly states serving breakfast, lunch, dinner. Our waitress said no breakfast being served . So ok we are good with that. Here comes the best part. Took 20 minutes to just get water and ice. Another hour to get our food which we had to go inside and get it. Or we would have missed our game. I order a blt wrap with sweet potatoes fries. Totally digusted when I got my order. My fries were burnt to a crisp. Could not tell what kinda fries they were. As for the wrap thats left unsaid.

I have been ordering from East End Pub for quite some time. I always loved the food until recently. The seafood fettuccine in creamy curry sauce was awesome at first with a lobster tail, shrimp and salmon in a tasty curry sauce. I ordered it in April and got no lobster tail rather a couple more shrimp. I figured they ran out, no big deal. I just got my order and again no lobster tail rather small chunks of what I assume is lobster but most disappointing of all is it came in a tomato sauce instead of the curry sauce. I’m not a fan of seafood and tomato sauce. I ate I because I was very hungry but won’t order it again.

Ordered takeout. My mother in law who is British really enjoyed her bangers and mash. My little one liked her poutine. I had curry chips which were good but they were WAY BETTER when it was Irish times and a salad which was nice. My carrot cake was small but yummy. I think I really was craving the old menu but I would order again from here! Thanks for the nice dinner.

Me and my boyfriend popped in here because we were starving and had already been driving around. The place was somewhat busy, with only one waitress behind the bar. I was a bit nervous as it was seat yourself and I was worried she didn’t see us and wouldn’t serve us. I was completely wrong. Hardly had to wait at all before she came by and she was exceptional the whole way through. I mentioned a few times to my bf that I wasn’t sure how she was doing it all on her own! Food wasn’t crazy amazing, but it was good. Exactly what you expect from a pub. Once we received our food she made sure to mention things she could do for me in case my food was too spicy (completely unprompted) and she also brought extra sauces for my bf because she felt it went well together and he might enjoy it! (Also unprompted)! I’ve been to restaurants with tons of staff where I haven’t been attended to as well as she did. I wish I got her name so I could shout her out by name. But I would totally go back knowing the place was such a vibe with excellent service.
