Doctor

😠 So I came in today, and right away the woman said it’d be a long wait, about 2.5 hours. I said that’s fine, I have an ear infection, I don’t have a choice. Then she said you don’t have anywhere else to go? I said no, she said what about your family doctor? I said she’s closed today. She gave me a do... People often mention doctor, Khan, clinic, patients, Doctor, family, told, wait, staff, receptionist,

I should have listened to the other reviews and avoided this place. I went to the walk in clinic and was told by the most rude miserable receptionist I've ever had the mispleasure of dealing with, that the Doctor was no longer seeing patients. The clinic is completely empty. Fair enough, it's 1.5 hours to close and I can understand that. I am then sitting in my car looking for another clinic to go to and notice another call pulls up, I am thinking to myself sorry guys you're going to be denied too! Nope... those patients chat with the miserable woman and are taken in right away. I walked back in and asked why I was denied but they were gladly accepted. Automatically the receptionist says "they've been waiting here for two hours to see a doctor" at which point I mention that they actually just pulled up and walked in. Then the Dr chimes in and claims "they've been booked in prior" huh?! So which lie is it because you're saying one and the troll at the reception desk is saying another thing. The conversation ended in the receptionist saying she doesn't have to answer to me. I feel like someone who treats another human being with such lack of compassion is truly disgusting, especially a Dr. This says a lot about his character and the values he holds for his patients. What else was I expecting from a brand new clinic who already only has horrible reviews.

So I came in today, and right away the woman said it’d be a long wait, about 2.5 hours. I said that’s fine, I have an ear infection, I don’t have a choice. Then she said you don’t have anywhere else to go? I said no, she said what about your family doctor? I said she’s closed today. She gave me a doubtful look and asked again if I had anywhere else to go, there seemed to be only about 4 people waiting in the waiting area but I got the sense I was unwanted, so I asked for my health card back and said I would leave if they wanted me to. Suddenly the women said it was fine she just wanted to make sure I knew it’d be a long wait... anyways, so I sat down and waited. I listened as they told people to leave and come back later, they denied taking some people, they were very inconsistent with the wait times they were giving, some were told 25 mins and some were told no available time at all. I overheard the women tell the man receptionist she hoped to go home early today so I guess there’s my answer for her attitude and the inconsistent information given. After an hour and a half, the male receptionist asked a women to go into a room, she arrived after I did. I looked at the male receptionist as he waltzed back to the desk, he then looked at everyone waiting and asked me what my name was, I told him and he didn’t say anything. I told him I arrived before the previous lady did, and I have been waiting a while. He replied that I was informed it would be a long wait and that he is going in order, he rudely “offered” to show me his screen to say what order I was in. I said no that’s fine, the information is useless to me, obviously he didn’t know my name a second ago so what difference is it. He then suddenly told me to go wait in a room... it was infuriating. I tried to mention the attitude from the receptionists and the doctor tried to make excuse after excuse for it. I soon realize that’s her husband. I’ll be doing my best to issue a formal complaint for breach of trust given husband and wife in that position.

I was referred to this clinic by another walk in stating they might be taking new patients… but after reading the reviews on google, Facebook and other sites.. I want to avoid this clinic completely!! DR.KHAN’s husband who is also the manager?!? Is extremely RUDE AND VERBALLY ABUSING CLIENTS! How can this be going on?? Why is he still there?? This has been going on for years now and they’ve lost a quite a lot of clients because of the way he treats others. I truly hope that this place is investigated by the authorities who oversee physicians and their offices! Definitely avoid this place!

How are you a walk-in clinic that’s not accepting walk-ins in the first place? Not to mentioned I entered and was standing to there waiting for the receptionist to help me and wasn’t even greeted. The least she could say was “Hello, I’ll be with you in a min” Then when she finally decided to say something …. All I got was “Hi” …. Not a “how can I help you, sorry for the wait” Nothing. Also saw a sign that says “one problem per visit” imagine going to the doctors for a back ache and maybe pink eye…. And them telling you comeback another time to deal with one of the 2 issues… lol , this health care in Canada . 🤮 Poor Poor Service.

Came here yesterday to bring my mom I. We waited an hour till they opened, only Tobe told that they are not taking walk ins at these time. Nothing posted on Google, and they're sign outside the building clearly says walkins. The receptionist was rude and suggested another clinic, which drove to that was closed. Visited 4 walkinsthat morning all stating that they were open. But they were closed. Very frustrating.

FIRST IMPRESSION IS THE LAST. Dr.Khan is the best. Everything is perfect about this clinic except the man at reception. He is RUDE and has no manners to talk to patients. He should not be sitting at reception at all. I saw that man arguing with a child the other day.He has some serious issues. I have given 2 stars to this clinic just because of this man, otherwise it is a 5 star clinic.

This is one annoying clinic which asks you to wait 1 sec over the phone and makes you wait more than 5 min just to tell that doctor is busy and no appointments can be provided. Asks to go to emergency if it's urgent even when you tell them it's not emergency. They make you wait min 30 min with appointment and receptionist is the most unprofessional people who are always frustrated for no reason. I won't recommend visiting them, instead do yourself a favor and just visit any other walkin clinic and save your time and efforts.

Dr Khan is great, so lucky to have found her after 10+ years of being without a family doctor. Excellent care and attention to detail. Very pleasant and very thorough! Thank you for everything!!

My husband and I had a terrible time finding a family doc in Durham, but finding Dr Khan has been such a blessing! She’s so sweet and truly wants the best for you and treats you like an actual human being and not just like any other patient. Very grateful to her and her advice, and guidance. She has incredible memory and quite honestly such an angel. I feel so much better after seeing her and highly recommend her.

Dr. Khan is an amazing doctor. You can tell right away that she is very knowledgeable and has lots of experience. The office staff are very friendly and professional. The clinic is very clean and modern. I always feel at ease after meeting with Dr. Khan knowing that I’m being taken care of very well. I can’t imagine bringing myself and my family to any other doctor. I really don’t understand the negative reviews that are left here. They deserve 10 stars.

I have been seeing Dr Khan since 2017 and think she is wonderful. I also love the head pharmacist. My greatest frustration is that we now live in Oshawa and it is very difficult to get through on the phone. With no other means of communicating it is sometimes challenging to meet my and my family’s needs. Sometimes I give up trying to call and just drive in for early-morning walk-in, but twice now I've found a sign on the door saying they’re closed. With kindness, I invite Dr. Khan to set up text or email for current patients to improve accessibility and to make everyone aware of closures, wait times, walk-in availabilities, etc… This may reduce frustration for reception and patients alike.

My family members and I have been seen by Dr. Khan and her staff at this location since it opened. I absolutely LOVE everything about Pickering Ridge and the services it offers. At the forefront of Dr. Khan's many services, are the compassionate and responsive approaches provided to individuals each and every time they enter the facility! I would not hesitate, even for a minute to recommend the clinic; however; based on the clinic's consistent, well informed, customer centric approach, the clinic has reached it's full service capacity. The clinic's ability to extend additional services, including walk-ins are no longer an option unless you are already a patient. A simple strategy implemented so that Dr. Khan remains 100% focused and committed to her current patient complement. I appreciate everything Dr. Khan and her staff do. I am confident in stating, "Those of you who are currently her patients would not waiver from having similar opinions!" My family and I are BLESSED!

Best pharmacy I've been to in years. Went in for a medication, came out with less than I came in for, but exactly what I needed. The pharmacist really cares about making sure you've got what you need, and isn't just trying to inflate his bottom line. If you live in the area, get your scripts filled here, because they're honest and have great customer service.

After having spent several years trying to locate a family doctor who was taking patients, I happened by accident into the Pickering ridge pharmacy and noticed the clinic inside it. Decided that I had nothing to lose to enquire about a family doctor. Shocked and surprised, they took my name. The following day they called me in for an appointment. Doctor Sadiqa Khan is a lovely caring doctor and person. She seems very efficient and also a doctor that you can talk to even though I am a “vintage” person now. My last doctor experience a few years ago had the doctor telling me sarcastically, “well you are 75 you know” which is upsetting at the least. I am so happy to have found doctor Sadiqa and also recommended her to another lady who went and is so happy as well.

Dr Khan is kind and intelligent. She is tirelessly working 6 days a week and is responsible for saving my husband's life. She has wonderful intuition and diagnostic skills. Sadly her practice is full. I would recommend getting on her waiting list as she is an excellent physician. !

Dr Saddiqi is such a sweet soul. Very understanding. She listens very carefully to each and every detail. Never in hurry. Receptionist is not rude at all, he is always helping. Yes he is straightforward, not in a wrong way. I am highly satisfied. I highly recommend you to visit the clinic. Specially the waiting time is so less. 👍

Dr. Khan is our family doctor and we have been going to her since 2017. She is an incredible, caring, very professional, knowledgeable and helpful doctor. Her entire team is very professional and supportive. I am very surprised to see some patients give negative feedback for them, but the doctor and entire staffs usually are very very busy. Honestly they always try their best to serve everyone with respect. They go above and beyond to serve each and every patient to the highest standards. We definitely recommend her and we are glad we found her to be our doctor. We are very thankful to her and her entire team.

I had a pretty good experience here today. It was a bit of wait once I got into the room but I really liked Dr.Khan. She was really nice and made sure my prescription was filled out asap. I didn't wait longer than 5 mins for it right after she prescribed it for me. She knew what was wrong the moment she looked at me. Even the pharmacy was great too. I will definitely be making this my go to for walk ins when needed now.

Just don't bother staff is rude it's called "walk in" and they have people waiting yet asking you if you have a family doctor to go to instead. Front desk is a joke Dr is literally sitting down doing reception work turning away walk ins like make it make sense Just shut the whole practice down no point

One of the best medical places . Dr. Khan listen to your medical problems very carefully then refer you to the right specialist that can properly diagnose the problem you’re facing. She is a Godly, honest, genuine, trustworthy and caring lady Doctor. The pharmacy is a great addition although not related to the clinic I think but they too are very respectful and kind. They are all purposefully used by God to help people. I pray God will keep Doctor Khan and continue using her and blessing her for many many years . We need more people in the health care system like Doctor Khan and her team.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

This is the BEST clinic I’ve been to since I arrived to Canada in 2023. The doctors, pharmacists and their staff here are absolutey amazing, extremely friendly, very personable, and they ALWAYS ensure that you’re taken care of in the best way possible. I’m glad I was able to become a patient while they were accepting new patients, but their service is so great that they are completely full and can no longer accept walk-ins, as the signs by the entrance glass doors indicate. I feel so safe and comfortable coming here and love seeing everyone’s smiling faces and enjoying their friendly personalities.

Have just recently spoken to a doctor there, very nice lady. But they need to start answering the phones. I figured I'd get an immediate response seeing as I called 10 minutes after they opened, but no. Since then I've tried to call and confirm an appointment and have not gotten any results. It's like the receptionist hates her job.

I really liked the doctor we saw and became patients of (Dr. Raafia Siddiqui) but it is hard to make an appointment; automated message when calling and no way to talk to a person or leave a message. Went in today to try and make an appointment. Guy at the front desk seemed to not care my son hasn't eaten in a few days. Hours say until 5:00pm but I could not make an appointment for 4:00. His tone was rude and not welcoming. Sad as I cannot contact the doctor unless going through the front desk. I guess the new doctor search begins again.

The most useful place I have ever seen. The gentleman at the front desk has absolutely no knowledge/idea of what he’s doing, never ever answers the phone, gives himself the right to judge me and tell me I shouldn’t go to work if my chid is not feeling well without understanding of what someone can go through in life and what some people are dealing with, he keeps on bringing up the word I’m just doing you a favour to see the doctor🤔 what would doctors do if they don't see patients. Finally we saw the doctor and tried to tell her the situation and she said he's my husband and he right, I don't even know why you are telling me something that he already told me.

I and my husband are going to this place since 2018. Dr Shadiqa khan is amazing and the staff at the reception and manager are really good and supportive. Manager and staff are so good to prioritizing the patients as per their urgency and need and I would say that this is the most important thing when people go to the Doctor.

I was told in order to get my placement forms filled for school that it would be $40 and the Doctor and receptionists looked at it and confirmed that it would be $40. I was about to pay for it last week but Doctor told me to pay when I pick up the forms. When I went to go pick up they told me I have to pay $60 now. The Doctor said she doesnt deal with the costs only receptionists do. The receptionist told me the Doctor said that she had to fill out extra things. Seriously???. The Doctor said she always deals with these forms and the amount of pages did not change!! I actually am very dissapointed because I really like this Doctor. It really hurts to see that I was treated as a business transaction.

Dr Khan is a true professional, knowledgeable, and has an excellent bed-side manner. It is important to be able to talk with your doctor and for your doctor to listen. Dr. Khan does this consistently. My husband has complex medical needs and they are addressed with thought and expertise as well as my own medical care. The office staff (Jamil and others) are professional, friendly and run an efficient office. We feel blessed to have found Dr. Khan. Also a shout out to the on-site pharmacy where staff are also knowledgeable and helpful.
