Wasn’t impressed. The first girl I got when I originally broke my wrist was pretty good but when I returned after my surgery she no longer worked there so I had a man. Yes he was nice… but firstly, he left the door open so the woman sitting right outside heard all my personal information. Secondly, I was sent by my surgeon for physio because my wrist was starting to seize up after surgery. The physiotherapist told me he wouldn’t do anything with my wrist for a good month and told me to move it around a bit myself at home. Then he iced it, put a tense machine on and charged me $95 for what basically was something I could do at home. I have a tense machine and I have ice I just need help with my movements. And he wanted me back weekly. For what? Ice and a tense machine? So that was another thing I really was displeased about. And lastly, on top of that, he freaked me out by saying I’d probably need surgery again in a year when the screws come loose and start poking through my skin! My surgeon was clear with me before my surgery about how I should never need surgery again after this and that rarely do people need to have the plates removed… so I that came as a shock! When I got home I thought like why on earth is he saying this when my surgeon said otherwise. Why is he giving me medical advice and freaking me out! Anyway basically that was my experience and again he was very nice but like I’m not paying for nice. I need a physiotherapist who can help me with my wrist.

Amberlea Physio is simply put, the best one in town. They are accommodating, staff is very professional but also friendly. The Physiotherapists and massage therapists are knowledgeable and take great pride in their work. I wouldn’t go anywhere else! Highly highly recommend!!

If I could give this clinic more stars I would, everything you look for while visiting a rehab clinic, great friendly front office, with very professional and courteous medical staff. Dr. Sherman took the time to answer any concerns I had. If you live in the Pickering area, and need to do rehab or just want a relaxing massage, you got to visit Amberlea Physiotherapy.

Been seeing a Sherman and his lovely staff for about 2 month or just under that and they have been wonderful. He’s helped me so much already. Only place my partner will go for dentist work. They are very willing to take extra steps to make sure he feels comfortable. They are also realistic about coverage so dont be afraid to be straight forward with them if you only have limited coverage.

Sherman and the team is amazing, including the admin staff. Massage therapists are magicians too! Highly recommend for fast healing.

This is an awesome clinic! Really great staff at the desk, assisting and providing care. My husband and I both hurt our backs within weeks of each other, and were able to find openings the day of injury for immediate relief! Always a pleasure going here.

Amazing clinic! The entire staff is open and friendly; Sherman is such a patient, knowledgeable, and caring physiotherapist; and Mamta is the best massage therapist I have had. I will be returning here for massage, desk job physio, and other services as long as I can!

I can't say enough wonderful things about the team at Amberlea Physio who helped treat my IT Band and Patellofemoral syndrome. After suffering from chronic knee and lower back pain for over a year and trying everything from massage therapy to weight loss, it was my physiotherapist David Li and his assistants Camille, Trisha and Jamie who worked wonders. From the first consultation to our most recent session, David has taken excellent care of me and demonstrated how professional and passionate he is about his patients. He absorbs everything you tell him, and uses all the information you give him to create holistic and effective treatment plans. There was not a moment I doubted he had my best interest in mind, and was always making sure I was comfortable and answered every question I threw at him. I was provided therapeutic treatments, as well as guided exercises I could do on my own at home to treat my conditions in a multi-faceted way that was straightforward and easy to do. Booking appointments and setting up my email statements couldn't have been easier with the help of their lovely front desk staff, Melissa, Maria, and Kate, with the warm and welcoming environment they create. Thank you again ladies! And a huge shoutout again to David, Trisha, Camille and Jamie for laughing at my jokes/nonsense and brightening my Monday and Friday mornings <3

Been going here for several months and I pre booked my appointments in advance knowing it books up quick. My last 2 massages of the year were booked for December 10 and December 24. I went for my December 10 massage and only then did I find out that they canceled my December 24 massage appointment. I was told my RMT is no longer in. I said “okay so is someone replacing her?” I was then told “no” by the receptionist and that they have to remove my appointment for that day. (She did offer to add my name to a cancellation list, but only certain times work for me, hence the reason for pre booking) Now I’ve worked in clinics that have RMTs so I know how important the December month is for clients. I also know how quickly it gets booked up. I’m extremely disgusted that I was never called when the RMT decided to take the day off knowing I was already booked in. It’s December, you can’t get an RMT appointment anywhere this late now. I was completely turned off with the dismissal and lack of regard and empathy for my prebooked appointment. It showed that they didn’t care. A more professional business practice would’ve called the clients already booked in for the day that the RMT wants to take off so they have time to make other arrangements. Overall very disappointed with Amberlea Physio.

I recently visited this clinic. The staff was nice and friendly. However, I didn’t like the service as physio didn’t give any consultation notes which was promised when I started taking session. I believe that they just wanted to use my physio to the max. I don’t recommend to any new comers here

Have been going to Amberlea Physio for 2 months once a week for a shoulder rotator cuff injury. A friendly environment. Dennis and his team have been great so far in helping get my arm movement towards normal....getting there ..but a big improvement since the start. Good use of time spent at the clinic without rushing through the routine.

Great rehab center with all Covid rules followed and well maintained. I received excellent treatment to my shoulder on a comfortable and well paced setting by the expertise of physiotherapist Sherman and staff assistants as well as massage therapist Melaine. I would surely recommends this place to family and friends.

I had been to this centre since 2018. The service I got here was excellent. The staff and physiotherapist Sherman, David and Kevin are all good service minded professionals. I am strongly recommending this clinic. Whenever I needed an appointment they will try to give me as early as possible.

I have been with Amberlea Physio since August of 2020 from a car accident injury. The whole team is so kind and thoughtful. I never needed to go to a physiotherapy place, but this is by far the best place to go to. The process with insurance was handled efficiently and with care and all my questions were answered. Sherman, Kelvin and David are great physiotherapists who treated me with care. All the assistants, front desk staff, Maria, the massage therapist are amazing as well. Thursday was my last session and I will definitely miss this place.

Highly recommend Amberlea Physio as the place to go! I called around to various physios in Durham Region asking about services for an upcoming knee replacement Some receptionists couldn’t be bothered but Amberlea had me from the first phone call no question went unanswered. Covid precautions have been excellent and more importantly the Physio received from the team has been outstanding giving me confidence in my new knee

Since day 1, I have truly appreciated this clinic! On my first visit, I had an injury and could barely walk, but they were able to see me that day, to my relief. Every time I go in they’ve always made me feel welcome and as comfortable as they possibly can. Everyone is really friendly and Sherman is an awesome physiotherapist; I always feel better after seeing him.

Absolutely love this clinic and highly recomend it! Staff is very nice, helpfull, understanding. They are also always on time and front desk ladies make you feel welcome every time. Family friendly. I love bringing my kids to this family friendly office. The staff are super friendly and treatment if very personalized. Staying active can cause injuries and pain from time to time, and Amberlea Physio is a great local place to go for treatment.

The Physiotherapist was seeing 4 patients at the same time, going back and forth. So naturally, a lot of sitting and waiting was involved. AND all this idle time was counted as minutes of the session. The treatment itself felt rushed and non personalized, one size fits all kind of treatment. Also, no sense of privacy as you could hear and see other patients issues. Definitely not going back.
