My very good friend needed emergency dental work. Not only did they completely botch the work and charge her north of 3k for it, she now needs additional bone structure work in order to get fitted for veneers. Unbelievably unprofessional. Stay away from Dr. Petroff.

Our whole family has been going to Dr. Jay for over 20 years. I can't say enough good about him and his staff. I never took the time to put in a review until now when went to get his contact info to send to a friend, and I noticed some suspicious one star reviews with comments suggesting the writers either know each other or are the same person. (Odd that two of these reviews mention the exact same dentist in Whitby, over 15km away) He is caring and gentle, especially with those that are afraid of needles/freezing/etc. He does excellent work. I've never been overcharged, my insurance has never been "scammed", and neither have I. You won't find any 'negative reviews' with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario. The office has never "been shut down twice" by the College although he did totally renovate it a few years ago which may have had him closed for a few days. (I don't know for certain.) As far as I'm concerned, his equipment is top notch, state of the art and everything is sterilized before use. Even before Covid, his office was a refuge for allergy sufferers as he had some large hospital grade air cleaners/scrubbers constantly filtering the air throughout the entire practice. SINCE Covid 19, he has added smaller air scrubbers ("Surgically Clean Air" - look them up, they're NOT cheap consumer grade equipment) in every treatment room along with doors on the rooms to control viral air transfer and make things safer for his patients. He invests in his practice to make for the best experience for his clients and staff. I don't think he "cheap's out" on anything. And no, I'm not on his staff. I'm a 70 year old retired City worker. I don't leave 'fake' reviews.

Honestly deserves a higher rating.. The ENTIRE staff is extremely patient and friendly so easy to talk to and..DR JAY is phenomenal. He was so gentle with me. I have had anxiety driven appointments prior in the past. Dr J and his staff went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. Dr J handled my teeth with care. I didn't feel a thing including the freezing. After the freezing came out I didn't have any discomfort. I would fully recommend Dr Jay and his staff. Dr J was completely honest with me probably saved my eating experience moving forward. Will definitely be seeing him again 20 stars out of five.

A friend recommended Dr. Perott to me 15 years ago when my dentist office in East York said I needed two crowns $2000 dollars! On my 1st visit to Dr. Jay I was honest and said, I was told I need two crowns. He examined my teeth and I still remember his exact words, you are definitely not a candidate for crowns but you do need a filling, my total bill was $300 + tax. Dr. Jay did a great job and saved me mega bucks, doesn't get much more honest than that! 😁 Great place 👌 great people, well worth the 2 hour drive from Madoc!! No relationship, other than I enjoy all the sports memorabilia!

Very nice and clean office. I travelled from Scarborough just to come see Dr. Jay and I'm glad I did! Big Huge Thank you to him for giving me my Smile back! I cant stop smiling! Go figure lol I would definitely recommend him to friends and family. He made me feel extremely comfortable and relaxed. He talked me through everything he was doing and kept checking on me to make sure I wasn't in any pain. Besides from being an amazing dentist, he's a very funny guy too! And I love his energy! Called for emergency apt was scheduled 1 week later and charged emergency rate then had 6 root canals done only to find out he left cavities under all of them because he ran out of time and if that's not enough he broke off a tool in my root canal stuck in there forever. Then had the nerve to send me $1000.00 bill Ive had to pay another dintest $12500 just to fix the damage he had done never go here. You will regret it.

The dentist and all the staff are angels. I have never been as calm for a root canal in my life. Overall amazing experience and I’m pregnant! Will definitely be bringing my little girl here. Thank you to all the amazing staff & dentist 💗

If i could give more stars i would! Dr. Jay is absolutely amazing. Dentist visits have never been my favorite place to be. With Dr.Jay, he explains what he is doing step by step for me, makes sure everything is pain free and makes me feel extremely comfortable. The staff is very nice as well. I would definitely recommend! 👍

They fixed my two front teeth and gave me beautiful veneers. They were so accomodation since I was covered through victimisation abroad because I was jumped in Spain 6 months prior. They fit me in so quickly and I am so happy with my new smile. Everyone compliments me and the dentist and all the workers were so lovely! Thank you so much and sorry I didn’t leave a review sooner. Also ignore those sad reviews left to make the place get bad ratings it is clearly someone that is it a nice person. I switched over from a dentist I had for decades because this one is way more professional!

I was dentist phobic 8 years ago when I first saw Dr. Jay. My medicines ruined my teeth so I see him very often. Today I had a root canal done, and last night I was so excited to get it done that I was unable to sleep! Everyone in the office is SO kind, considerate, and empathetic. They let you take things at your speed, and are willing to work with you on payment too. I will never see another dentist! Cannot say enough great things about them all!

Charlene is my dental hygienist. She is amazing at what she does. If you want your teeth cleaned painless and with care, I suggest you book an appointment with her! Dr.Jay is also an amazing person. He loves what he does. He double booked himself because I needed my filling done. I highly recommend this place for your dental needs!

Jay Petroff and his staff have been taking care of my family for over 18 years. Very professional and also personable. They make you feel welcome and you don’t cringe at the idea of going to the dentist. I really don’t understand the low ratings and am very surprised at the negative remarks when Jay is the friendliest Dentist I have ever met!

DR.JAY IS HEAVEN SENT. I would recommend attending his office before beliveing in misleading reviews. His attendants are amazing and treat you like you're family. He is very honest and tries to be polite when addressing your dental situation. My mouth was messed up and he gave me a root canal and fixed my cavities. I've been coming here for 15+ years and so has my family and Dr Jay has always been extremely professional, helpful and never tries to upsell, in fact does the opposite! Even though I live downtown Toronto I still come out to see him of I need anything more than a cleaning. I wouldn't trust anyone else. He did my veneers over 10 years ago and I still get complimented on them from other dental hygienist that do my cleanings downtown. I'm surprised there is even 1 review below 5 stars...but it's quite obvious the same person keeps posting under a different name. You won't be disappointed under Dr Jay petroffs care. Myself and three children have been going to Maple Ridge Dental Office for the last 21 years. I think that they are great with children and I personally would never go to anyone else either. I live in Toronto and it is worth the drive for me to go to Pickering for their service. They saved me money by doing great cleaning jobs so that I did not have to continue with Periodontists. Dr. Jay was able to remove my son's wisdom teeth and I did not have to be referred out to someone I did not trust. I am very surprised to see negative reviews on this site.

My wife and I were recommended to Dr. Jay and his support personnel over 20 years ago and from day 1 we were overwhelmingly impressed. Living out of town and commuting an hour and a quarter to his office, it was never a concern knowing that we were always going to be treated with respect, showing personal interest and of course, displaying professionalism. I'm generally a little anxious in a dental office. Dr. Jay just did a root canal treatment on me and it went extremely well. It was painless. Really! The staff I had contact with were very professional and pleasant. Great experience!

Great doctor and amazing team! My family only goes to Dr. Petroff since year 2000. Highly recommending for kids as well.
