The club and the coaches know who I am. I am not going to say anything about the parents or the players. These are good people there but they most do not know enough to question the management. The ones who know quietly leave and do not want to make an issue. But I can tell you there are major issues with coaches and management. My son who is a talented player did not want to play there any more. He told me his soccer was declining and the coaches were not being consistent. There are some good coaches but the bad ones overrule them. Some other patents have named them I ask you to do your own research. As for the management, we were told that there will be refunds. I have not seen any of it. When I asked for it I was told that they had terminated my son's OPDL contract due to him attending soccer school with Dutch Connection. While this was true, many kids do outside training and even many of his team mates got permission from technical director and coach for this. So they simply wanted to keep $1500 of our refund. I plan to file small claims case as soon as courts open. This is wrong. I am not sure why Ontario Soccer will allow for this. I will talk to someone in Ontario Soccer when the situation with COVID improves. Many parents are being taken advantage of and many kids who have the passion for the sport are going to not play ball due to this environment. As a passionate soccer dad I cannot stand by.

Been with this club for one season. What a mistake! The two coaches (why two??) lost every single game, and yet, they're still coaching. I guess sub-performance is accepted as long as you're in Dave Benning's good graces. The children on CSL team are constantly bullied about not being good enough to play OPDL, despite the fact that we didn't even consider going OPDL. Reason being, the SAME terrible two coaches coach that team too! With same poor results, of course. Did anyone look into these results? Except Benning, of course. Are there any performance standards for coaches? The hidden fees make the advertised cost DOUBLE. The coaches are paid directly by parents, which I'm sure it's against any rules, the parents are being asked to give money randomly by a so-called "team treasurer", with no invoice or receipt of any kind. This individual who runs the club - David Benning, is a shady and arrogant self-proclaimed Director of Soccer Operations, or Technical Director, or whatever he wants to call himself, but he's a mean person that the kids and parents fear and dislike equally. I'm not clear on how this shady business is affiliated with the great City of Pickering, but really, did anybody look into these practices at all??? We chose to pull our boy out of this scam, but this Benning person needs to be investigated, stopped, and never again allowed to threaten and bully children.

We realized that our values can't align with the Pickering director of soccer's ones. We don't condone any type of bullying, no matter what the high reason may be. Coaches, parents, and children are treated equally bad by this person. Whitby, here we come!

I'm reading the reviews, and I'm wondering. Is this Benning person that keeps popping up, the same David Benning who got fired a few years ago by Ajax Soccer Club for physical and verbal abuse towards the staff and parents, among other issues? Because if it is, Pickering Football board has a lot of explaining to do. Harboring such character speaks volumes about their own character. We learned about the financial scams going on from the returning parents. Oh my God! Hope CRA starts looking into this.

Worst club in Ontario. Everything I read here is true. This club hired and is behind this tiran named David Benning, who has the board's blessing to do whatever he pleases. Children are being terrorized and emotionally abused, staff is quitting. They're always hiring and conducting trials because people just can't stay there in that toxic environment. Curious to know what Ontario Soccer thinks about this, unless they are already aware and on board. Update. Seems like they paid people to post positive reviews on their profile. Just see for yourselves how many 5-star ratings without any actual reviews. No, Benning, we're not all easy to manipulate :)

Good luck getting a refund. Submitted a request that fell under their criteria for a full refund. It's been two weeks without a response. Left numerous voicemails for a call back. Emailed Dave Lord in which his expired vacation auto-reply was the only response. Called Mastercard and submitted all documents for them to deal with.

Your comment saying you don’t have a record is because I am a parent not a player. Not remembering conversation we had about my child and the way others are treated just shows why we left. We started at another club that treats my child like a person. My child is happy now. Sad to see how Pickering soccer has changed.

Program: Summer season outdoor soccer U5 - very very disappointing Extremely disappointed with this soccer club. They charge similar amounts to other clubs however have volunteers as coaches for the season. My sons team didn’t end up getting a coach and parents stepped in to help. Parent coaches were not provided with any drills or techniques that the kids could work on. My son ended up playing octopus and what time is it Mr wolf for the majority of the classes and didn’t have the skills needed when it came to game time. On top of this many classes were cancelled due to weather and they were not made up. When inquired about this, I was told no refund will be issued and that sometimes Mother nature does not help????!??? Not sure how this club is still running these programs.

Wow, what an experience we had. Came for the tryouts at Pickering Soccer Club, my nephew wanted to check this club out because it's closer to our home. How are you guys expecting to have people trust you with their children, when this person Benning looks at you like you owe him your life? Who does he thinks he is, Mourinho? We, for one, won't put up with this type of bullying, there are tons of soccer clubs out there. And to the coaches, who accepted being walked all over by this guy, do you even have a spine? Good luck to the kids, they deserve the best

I have nothing Bad to say about this club . Peter is an Exceptional coach. . From his teaching ability to his passion for soccer . My daughter has been plying soccer for the past 11 years and we have been with a lot of clubs and by far this is the BEST !! They care about there players and are very professional and committed. They just won the women’s league 1U 19 championships!! And that says a lot ! If you are looking for the next soccer club for your child . This is It !

We were giving the break and lockdown to see if we would return to Pickering soccer and we feel the collapse of the dome is the universes way of telling us to exit. We can’t exit quietly though. Hopefully Ontario Soccer and the City of Pickering will see this, along with my letters to them, and demand change. This club was amazing when my older son participated but now the organization is shameful. The power of abuse given to the soccer director David Benning is beyond unacceptable. The verbal and emotional abuse children and parents are subjected to should be illegal. The club lies about fees, what is posted isn’t even close to what you will actually be forced to pay, and they have absolutely no consciousness on the mental health of children who have already had 2 years of Covid struggle. In the latest news letter they mentioned keeping members safe? YOUR KIDS ARE NOT SAFE AT PICKERING SOCCER! They will be yelled at, screamed at, belittled, degraded and as parents you will be subjected to guilt, shame and expectations to afford things that were not agreed to! Bottom line is this club will take anyone into their competitive program because like us people will no longer stand for it. Speak out! Let others know! Enough is enough! Can’t wait to try out Ajax and Whitby to find the safest fit for our child!

this review is for U12. as referee and father im very disgusted with the coaches JAMAL AND LEO for U12. They like to yell and bully the kids when they are playing or training. one thing is to be stricted and another one is to be yelling at them all the time. especially at their games. They get nervous and they can play well. This organization needs to talk to them seriously. Ive seen other coaches from other levels and they are not like that at all.

Wow, loved playing there, played in an all night softball tournament. One thing I would add is some sort of hot drink machine, if there was one there I couldn’t find it. When you are there all night to get a hot chocolate or coffee would have been nice.

PFCS dome still under construction, unfortunately there's not much to see expect the picture from outside the parking lot. This dome should be up and running already one out of five.

Very nice facilities, turf, plenty of seating so chairs are not required, yet the whole place is restricted to onlookers need to remain behind a fence netting that obstructs your view. Actually the netting is very annoying to your eyes, and you cannot take pictures or video as the netting fools the camera's focus. Furthermore the seating location is at the end of the field making is very hard to enjoy the game. This is the only stadium in our league that has the netting, and staff forces you to stay off the sidelines. As beautiful as the stadium is I dislike the spectator arrangement, hence the three stars for a five star facility.

My daughter just finished one week of soccer camp. THIS IS NOT A SOCCER CAMP!!! This is a daycare with soccer balls and other stuff. They did not teach the basic fundamentals of soccer (ie. Offsides, feild postions, spacing, shooting on goal) Many of the players already know these things but those who did not were neglected. She did not enjoy her week at the camp and we will not be having anything to do with Pickering Football Club going forward. I do not recommend this camp

Very disappointed with summer program. Coaches didn't show up to the practice/ game and PFC management didn't say any word. They just collect money at front and you are by your own. Great business model that charge for registration and operate with free coaches.

This is purely about the OPDL program. It suffers greatly as the Technical Director is incompetent and unfortunately, can't bring the program to the level it needs to be. This is the main reason as to why this club has such high player turnover. The technical director either leaves or this club stays as a bottom end club.
