There is a nice young employee who works here. Unfortunately, I have to give 1 star because the man who works here who I believe is the franchise owner is rude, impolite and harsh with zero social skills and shouldn't be working in a customer service environment.

No staff in counter for more than 30 mins. Not sure if they can just disappear keeping the stall open. I may be dumb, but how many minutes is few minutes for a break? Seems like 40 mins. That said taste is good, so changed my rating.

There’s rarely anyone actually working. Every time I’ve come and the “be back in a few minutes” sign is up the employee is always away for 30+ minutes. Definitely not worth it.

STALE POPCORN! Guess I should have read the reviews before buying here. I bought 2 large bags of popcorn because of a "buy 1, get the 2nd half price" special. The popcorn was at least a day old! Even with all the seasoning, it's still stale and not crunchy. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful which is why this isn't a 1-star review. But I'm very disappointed with my purchase. Be warned if choosing to buy popcorn here.

Always a nice treat for the sweet tooth or those who prefer things salty. The good news is the treats are healthy, well mostly, if you control your portion of course. Popcorn can actually be the better choice among other options. They also have a tiny snack size pack which I recommend. The double caramel is my favorite but there are other great options. The staff are friendly and helpful. 5 stars for delivering a good product and doing it with pleasure

Nobody even works at this store. There's a sign posted outside that says employee will be back in 15 minutes, but no one ever shows up no matter how long you wait.

The popcorn is always great here, but the service stinks. I went there yesterday to get popcorn sign says “we’ll be back in a few mins” … we waited 35 mins - no one came back so we left and went elsewhere Next time I’ll just hop the counter, pack my own and leave cash.

Worst service ever! Long line up and two out of three employees find making popcorn is more a priority then selling the actual product! Then we you ask for assistance, it's like we're bothering them. No adult supervision gets you crappy service!!!

The girl that works there on Nov 22nd 2023 at 7:30pm must likely does not like her job nor her life. She is very rude and lazy. Said it was at the end of the "night" at 7:30 and didn't want to make anymore popcorn. She charge me $7.33 for half a bag of popcorn for my daughter. Com'on @kernels work on your hiring process!!

I’ve been going here for years and the popcorn is generally pretty good but today I bought 3 bags and the popcorn was so stale and some pieces were wet.. I couldn’t even eat it. At least the lady serving us was really sweet..

I had a great experience at this Kernels location. The staff were helpful and engaged in conversation. The double butter+ caramel popcorn is sweet but delicious

This Kernels stand here in Pickering poorly run and managed. It's manager is white old man (over 50+) whose BITTERNESS IN LIFE reflects onto how he treats brown and black people - especially on Black paying customers who live in Pickering. I witnessed on a Saturday afternoon, while waiting in line - Fall 2022 - this white manager BARKING RUDELY to a smiling, pleasant young Black lady - who just came to replace a STALE bag of popcorn. Very sad. What a disgrace. If the Head office and Corporate Management is concerned with maintaining the sustainability of the Kernel's brand, I implore them to investigate all staff of its Pickering, ONTARIO location. Ignore this location at your peril (profit wise). This stand is on "borrowed time" - given consistent, unsatisfactory reviews - by paying customers. Not a good look.

3rd time in 2 months waited for someone to serve us but no one was there should close this place down
