This place was horrible! When we walked into the room, we could smell a feeble attempt to cover cigarette smoke with some exotic incense. I have never stayed in a dirtier room. Except for the bed being made, there was almost no attempt to clean this room. There was and oily substance on the night stand and something sticky on the floor. If it wasn't late and we were over 500 miles away from home, we would not have stayed. We were offered a 25% discount on our next stay. NO THANK YOU!!

My boyfriend and I got room 136 around 7 pm yesterday. My boyfriend found a roach crawling on his food after coming back from the bathroom. We went to the front desk to request a different room or a refund. The man at the front desk told us we would be given a discount on our room. We were given room 240 that night (right above the room with the roach in it) the next day we requested the discount from a different man at the front desk. He told us there was nothing he could do for us except give us a 25% discount on our next room. We were told the room would have to be tested for roaches first before we were compensated. We've stayed at the Red Roof Inn several times in the past few years. We will never go back. Try the Days Inn right across the street if you're looking for a peaceful bug free rest!

Memorial Day weekend a concert and one other special event happening. All around Columbus hotels and motels were sold out. So, beggars can’t be choosers. Our room elsewhere was booked non-smoking but they gave it to someone else and only had smoking left. We couldn’t bear it and found RRI. So for us it was a God sent. It was clean with fresh linens. Housekeeping was nice when I interrupted her from cleaning a room to get another towel. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Big TV and mini-fridge desk and 2-chairs in room. Ample electric socket for charging electronics. Shower head, water pressure and temperature were fantastic way to start the day.

This hotel room is better than both of the last Red Roof Pluses I stayed at recently. The room is newly renovated and spacious. I was given a room in the area and on the floor I requested. Check-in was painless, and my dog was allowed to stay even though she was a bit over the 40-pound weight limit. My questions and concerns were answered. THINGS THAT ARE NICER/NEWER/CLEANER HERE: - Most furnishings and some fixtures are new. - New room key fob system that you simply tap - New beds/mattresses/bedding. - Mattress is double-wrapped. - New a/c and heating unit. None of those ancient mounted wall space heaters. The heat worked. - The bathroom is clean with a new tub and toilet! - Huge TV (but mine didn't work/wasn't set up. One-night stay.) - Nice new fridge. - Nice-sized desk and comfy desk chair, although the chair gets stuck under the desk. - Very well-lit parking lot, and they have tons of security cameras the front desk monitors. - THEY HAVE ROOMSERVICE! - No bugs on my one-night December stay! ISSUES THAT STOPPED ME FROM LEAVING A 5-STAR REVIEW: - The large new TV DIDN'T WORK, and there were no instructions/guide. It was stuck on one channel, and the remote was not paired. I tried to troubleshoot for 45 minutes. - NO COFFEE MAKER. -A lot of hairs on the bedding (probably from the dryer. Seemed clean otherwise. They need to use dryer sheets and clean the lint traps). - Dust caked on the bathroom vent. - An extremely outdated hairdryer. - Floors needed a more through cleaning. - $100 deposit. - The location is not great, and the outside are is not well-kept. It's right off the highway though.

I couldn't wait for this location to reopen. Since then, I have had the pleasure of staying here two times. The front desk staff is always friendly and provides me with the handicap accessible room I need. My first visit was completed with no issues. My second visit was different. Once again I noticed that all of the customers were herded into one side of a building and my room did not have hot water. A cold shower was not what I needed. The room doesn't provide ironing equipment like Best Western and I wish they had laundry service/machines. This will not prevent me from staying with them in the future when I come back into town from work.

Worst. Hotel. Ever! Horrid place to stay. I don't see how some of the staff who work here continue to have jobs, they are rude and have no regard for the safety of guests. A strange man that was begging for money around the hotel started following me around and hanging around outside my door. He would knock on my door at all hours, and according to the people in the next room he was trying to get housekeeping employees to let him into my room. I called the front desk and expressed my concerns. I asked them to keep an eye out for him and out of an abundance of caution I let them know that nobody else was allowed to have a key to my room under any circumstances. Next thing I know, the woman at the front desk gave him a key to my room while I was out. My boyfriend knocked looking for me and this random stranger answers the door!! My boyfriend ended up in a physical altercation with the stalker, and the cops were called. When I got back to my room later that night, my key didn't work and the guy at the desk refused to make me a new one. He said I was no longer allowed to stay at the hotel due to police involvement stemming from my room. I wasn't allowed in to even get my stuff. I was literally barred from the room I'd already paid for after midnight with a nine year old and one year old baby BECAUSE THEY LET A STRANGER INTO MY ROOM AND PUT ME IN SERIOUS DANGER!! If you care at all about your safety, DO NOT STAY HERE! It's unprofessional, has awful customer service, it's life threateningly dangerous, and way WAY overpriced!!! You can pay less to stay somewhere much nicer that's safe, and has employees that actually care for your safety.

I did have a bad experience here at this hotel. But we got everything situated and all is good. My room is nice and clean. The sheets are clean. Everything looks nice. I like this hotel a lot. And one reason is they have smoking and non-smoking rooms. Not too many hotels or motels have smoking rooms. The guys at the desk are nice and helpful too..

I believe based on some of the older reviews that this hotel has had a major overhaul recently. I booked through Priceline to stay June 4th through the 7th. Easy check-in. Front desk was extremely polite. The room was clean, the location is very convenient to I-70. I extended my stay and there was an issue because of the 11 am check out and the 3 pm check in but the front desk worked with my reservation and was able to fix the issue. The cleaning staff and other staff working on the rooms near me were super friendly. They have been putting in the work to make this a great place to stay and deserve credit for doing so. I have no negative comments to leave!

Stayed there a couple times. It's a budget hotel, convenient to the interstate. Just across the street from a Waffle House so you can arrive late and still fill your belly wo driving again. Also next door to a Tim Horton so you can get a quick cup of Joe and a donut before heading out.

First off, I would give zero stars if it was an option. I don't know why Red Roof Inn is still attached to this property, it should be an independent motel. There are no inside corridors so it really should be called a motel. The ONLY positive thing I can say is the front desk staff was friendly. We arrived at 10am & they were very accommodating with getting us our room early. Only waited about 30 minutes. We were given a key card to room 242 & were told its in the back building, upper floor, center. As we were driving back there, noticed a man (appeared to be homeless) laying on the floor against the building. Questioned it but continued to our room. Next we noticed someone "moving out" of their room, like they used this place as an apartment. Still proceeded. As soon as we walked in, I quickly locked the door, as I didn't even feel safe walking up 1 flight of stairs at 10:30 in the morning! There were several stains on both bedspreads. Looked in the bathroom & stains on shower wall. Tried to call the front desk & the phone didn't even work. I looked at my husband & said "we are NOT staying here". It took us less than 30 seconds to realize this place was not for us. Don't get me wrong, we do not need a 5 star hotel, but I refuse to stay in a less than 1 star motel. Thankfully they refunded our card without hassle. I was willing to sleep in my car instead of staying here. Again, RRI needs to remove their name from this property so when people book they know what to expect, or what not to expect in this case. For travels in the near future, its gonna be hard to give RRI another chance.

I absolutely cannot say enough good things about this place! The night staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Easy check in. The room is immaculate. The beds are super comfy. It is pet friendly! And, inexpensive! It truly feels like home away from home. They also have free coffee in the office!!!

The room was disgusting. The sheets and comforter were all stained even the pillows. We got a non smoking room and when we walked in it smelled disgusting not just with cigarette smoke like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long while. There was dirt and dead bugs all over the place. The floors were filthy. When we asked the attendant for a refund he screamed at my boyfriend and made him show him the cigarette burns and inplied we went in there to “use” it. He finally got the guy to give us a refund and we also heard him on the phone with another angry customer trying to get his deposit back. Dont stay here. Absolutely unacceptable. Especially with the pandemic going on.

The door to our room was broken and took my entire body weight to open, there was no microwave and it smelled strongly of urine. It was a non-smoking room but the sheets and blanket had burn holes in them.

Noticed that the sheets looked old, like they'd been slept in for a few weeks without being changed. Pulled back the blanket to find hair on the sheets. Had them change the sheets, hopped in bed, and it stank like urine. So, when I pulled the sheets back, guess what I found, a huge urine stain. Gave me a new room (see photo), bed stinks and looks uncleaned. Worst place ever. 80 bucks for this. Ended up sleeping on a friend's couch instead.

It seemed OK, the staff seemed friendly and helpful. It seemed to be an average Red Roof inn. Very pricey, though, although there might be local events raising demand. I was charged over a hundred dollars for what seemed like an eighty dollar room. (That IS just an opinion, but this is a Red Roof, not a Fairfield)

$200 for what they call a king suite🙆 turned out it's just like all the rest of the rooms there. Don't be fooled. I've stayed at this hotel multiple times for $100. Don't know why the sudden price increase when I was literally there from 3am to 7:00 am. For $200. No loyalty rewards here

I want to say THANK YOU FOR YOUR GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Mr. Mac is very funny and helpful. Mr Bob is also helpful. The housekeeper for my room was very courteous. The remodel and cleanliness is also great. I've been at this location multiple times over the last few weeks. It's in much better shape then before. AND IT'S BUG FREE😊

Looks like rooms are renovated will large TVs, Wi-Fi was very easy to connect and good speed- watched a movie straming and it did not glitch. Was very quiet, other than group of workers leaving for work at about 7am. Just remember they charge deposit but refund on departure. Will be back again.
