An incredible spot! You are welcomed instantly and greeted by the friendliest people. Local wines, ports, meats, cheeses, breads, olives, and melons…delicious! Food does not disappoint, and the prices are great! We were treated with complimentary cheeses, toasts, jams, and nuts! Pedro was our server and he was beyond wonderful! Fernando’s place is amazing! Check it out!!

We had a lovely tapas dinner experience here! The spot is very quaint and cozy, with a great selection of local products. The menu is perfect after a few wine tastings… :)! Don’t skip the roasted chorizo cooked table side - super delicious! We also sampled olives and the cheese and marmalade, and would recommend both. Wine options were excellent and prices were very affordable. Friendly staff made our night. Excellent spot!!

An absolutely lovely tapas/snacks place! Both food and service are amazing! Especially recommended to try the fried chorizo (and see the small show of burning it) and the cheese with marmalade plate.

Air conditioned place for sandwiches, platters, wine and olive oil. The cheese platter was great, but they don't accept cards and you may encounter problems speaking english.

Excellent local food, very friendly waiter! We had the local chorizo, onions in vinegar and olive oil and a cheese platter. Perfect lunch in a beautiful area.

Make sure to order the roasted chorizo 🔥 For two of us, we ordered the 3 olive oil tasters with bread, cheese and marmalade, and roasted chorizo. Red wine and port to drink. Came to 35€. Fernando doesn't speak much English and has a very serious face but don't be fooled, he is so excited to have visitors come from around the world. He collects notes from customers, which you'll find in the tables and on the wall!

Absolutely loved food, atmosphere and hospitality. The only thing which I was missing a coffee, but that it still does not change my mind about the 5 star review. I had Chorizo assado and you must order it with onions! It change a game completely with a glass of Red Douro and a bit of bred 👌 You have small gift shop, also local products to buy. It’s very cosy, warm places which is just helps you to love Portugal even more. Well done Cardanho dos Presuntos!

Cardanho dos Presuntos is wonderful on many accounts: delicious food, all from the locale, very hospitable team and very accommodating hours. We thoroughly enjoyed the roasted chorizo, olives, three local olive oils, onions, and beer and vinho verde. It was a delight to discover this locally owned gem that was a great way to experience the local fare. The hours are convenient for visitors as they stay open 10 straight hours offering drinks, tapas and boards. It is located right on the main street towards the south end, in the direction of the bridge over River Duoro. The couple who run the place are very helpful. They do get busy, but their hospitality and tasty food was so great we visited them twice on our last day in Pinhão.

My family and I were not ready for dinner yet but wanted a little appetizer! This place was it! We really enjoyed the ambiance and the charcuterie selection as well as the cheese offered here. Wine selection was great as well.

Pinhao has a large number of wine bars, unfortunately many of which are tourist traps. It's hard to keep track of them all. We visited the "Cardanho dos Presuntos", among others. Because of we really liked it, I wanted to write a google-review. At "Cardanho dos Presuntos" you can expect a young team with a very modern approach to running a wine bar. Nevertheless, you will find a wide range of regional wines here, about which you can learn lots of interesting details and stories. The team at this wine bar seems to have a great deal of knowledge about the wines of the region. And the snacks on offer are all of a high quality and very tasty and attractively presented. The price-performance ratio is absolutely right.

😠 Worst picanha ever. Thick, tough and and over salted with looots of flies. They seemed to like it though.

👍 5 stars for the food. If you can somehow figure out how to get in here, you'll enjoy the good-to-great food, some of it inventive. But 1 star off because their process and organization is a abject fustercluck. They have no clue how to run a restaurant. We tried for weeks (seriously) to make a rese...

👍👍 Just happened to walk by with my family and decided to go for it. They have a lovely terrace around the back with beautiful views of the river. We ordered some wine and the Maronesa steak (comes with black beans and rice) for a family style lunch. It was DELICIOUS! The steak was tender, delicious, a...

😐 The experience was mediocre. Little bit slower staff, but we came with the big group on the next table so I understand it is not easy to prepare a lot of food at once. We ordered two bass fish and one was ok, another one too salty. Also bacalhau too salty for me - but maybe it is just my taste, not...
