Beautiful waterfall situated inside a jungle area. Very cool water. Entrance free. If you are going by a vehicle you have to stop you vehicle at end of the waterfall and climb top. Not very crowded and very calm place. Highly recommend to visit and keep the environment clean

The waterfall on the Bothumba Oya close the popular Bolthumbe Saman Devalaya is known as “Aliya Wetuna Ella” or simply “Bolthumbe Ella”. The name “Aliya Wetuna Ella” means the ‘waterfall from which a Elephant fell’ which probably refers to a past incident at the falls. The waterfall lies on the road to the famous Bolthumbe Saman Devalaya. About 250 meters on this road, you will come across a ‘Sapaththu Palama’ where the Bothumba Oya crosses the road. The waterfall lies above this point and you need to walk through the jungle along the stream to reach this hidden waterfall.

That is a hidden waterfall. It takes around 10 minutes to reach there from road. Nice and danger waterfall. Many people died their. If you go there be careful.

Beautiful and calm place to visit. The place was not much clean at the time we visited. Vehicles can be parked on the roadside (there's a small space) and need to walk in the forest about 10 minutes to reach to the main waterfall.
