The entrance is worth the experience if you have an hour or so to walk the whole wall. If you want to go back to Campo dei Miracoli, you can save some time by returning through the town rather than going back along the wall. Amazing views of the monuments at the beginning, then you see modern life in Pisa which you’d probably miss otherwise. The walk is very peaceful and there are few other people on the wall, so it’s a nice way to escape the crowds.

I went in around 4PM and I had hoped to take some good photos of the Pisa Tower under the sunset around 4:30PM. It was fun to walk on the walls, but the view around the Pisa Tower was quite disappointing. The Pisa Tower was kind of blocked by some residential buildings. The worst part is that an iron fence was erected at the exact spot where you could see the sunset and there was a sign that says no photos allowed. That is the only spot with an iron fence. If they don't want people to take pictures at such an iconic scene, they should've posted some signs at the entrance letting people know what they were getting into! If you have the time to walk the entire wall, this would be good to check out, but if you just want some photo opportunity, skip this place and save your money.

I don't know how but we caught a day of free entrance, the walk is long, like 3 km or so and it is totally worth it. Great views along the wall. You can download the app and it will tell you each step what you can see from your location. Really enjoyed it. Here are some views ☺️

Nice way how to see Pisa different way. Also for those who dont like crowded streets. You can see Pisa Tower from different side and private life of locals.

Unique programme and an opportunity to get out of the crowd at the Suare of Miracles. The costumed people at the selfie points raised the experience! Worth to download the app in advance and read the map's additional historic information, so when you are there, you don't have to read your phone in strong sunlight. Worth the entrance fee.

Perfect if you want to escape the crowds of tourists. Gives you a perfect view of the city. We only did a short part but I’m sure the rest of the walk is just as amazing.

When visiting Pisa you have to have a walk on the remains of the wall of Pisa! Amazing view of the city from different angles.

Beautiful old city wall which stretches for 3 km without interruptions! Really cool to see the city from a high city wall),4 different entrances, only 2 have a ticket office (cash only). Unfortunately you have to pay 1,50 reservation costs per ticket (5€) when booking online. There are no information panels, instead they an mobile app (which works, but information is a bit limited for me).

Get away from the crowds and walk the walls down to the river, worth the reasonable price but set aside an hour.

Fantastic! It feels like discovering a secret since almost no one else is up there. Great views on tower but also in private gardens and the rest of town. Perfect way to discover Pisa. The entire route is 3 km.

Good to visit and walk around.

Worth it just for the great views of the tower, Duomo etc - but if you walk the entire length you'll see some really cool sights that would otherwise be a bit off the beaten track.

We saw this place when we were visiting the leaning tower of Pisa. It looked like a big castle from the outside. It was only $5 but to be honest it wasn’t anything special. You get a cool view of the tower of Pisa but other than that it’s just a long walk.

A secret gem when the TV filming block the main Pisa Tower. €5 for a city wall walk! Love it!

Started the wall walk near the Tower, cost is €3/ person and it is not worth it. Granted it keeps you away from the crowd but don’t expect any beautiful views. Current rating seems overated compared to what lies around. Don’t waste your time and money...

A lovely walk along the walls of Pisa, about 3km in length. We walked from the entrance near the leaning tower to the exit at Torre di Legno and back again. I recommend to start from Torre di Legno in square Federico del Rosso and continue along the wall until the square of miracles (piazza dei miracoli), where the Leaning Tower is.

September 2019. Something a bit different that takes you away from the crowds. Offers good views of the main attractions but pretty much just walking up high through residential areas. We did the full length on a very hot day. Just keep in mind it is quite long and there is no shade from the sun...

The Mura di Pisa is understated to the extent that one can easily either miss it or dismiss it in favour of visiting the cathedral, baptistery, tower etc. in the Piazza dei Miracoli. That would be an unforgiveable mistake! Taking a walk along the entire Mura di Pisa is an experience in itself. Not only does it allow you to get an aerial view of the buildings and crowds in the Piazza from different angles but it also allows you to see and experience other parts of the city. Allow yourself a couple of hours if possible to really enjoy this walk. I rushed it as I was short of time and wished that I hadn't!

The city walls are a great attraction. A perfect opportunity to look at the city from above. The walls are 3 km long, there are no crowds of tourists, so you can feel the atmosphere. Make sure to take water with you, because obviously you can't buy it at the top. The ticket is only 5 euros.

We went here for my birthday to get a view of the city from above. It's quite a unique thing to do, there are benches every now and then where you can sit and have a break - we did the full 3kms but you can also exit at four different points. There is a member of staff at those exits who can answer questions. 5 Euros is a bit much to just take a walk but we really enjoyed it.
