This place should be shut down. Dirty. Smells of mold. Dirty unchanged sheets. Stains all over walls, curtains, lampshades and carpets. Amenities inaccurate. Photos all online all old. Breakfast is minimal and stale. Nothing in the fitness center works. Pool filthy and hot tub closed for almost year. We had a room for 4 and were given 2 towels. When asked for more were told housekeeping is gone in evening and had to wait until morning. With pressing were given a few gym towels. Felt unsafe in many ways. Most obvious being no net in window on 2nd floor. Many door locks non functional allowing entry to hotel from many directions. Would not wish this place on my enemy. Having to pay over $100 for a night was a huge scam.

Room had a door that wouldn't lock and a broken toilet that required removing the lid to reattach flush lever. The air conditioner did not work very well. Never any staff at the front desk. Breakfast area was messy and not well stocked. Read reviews of this location before you book. I wish I had.

This place has gone down hill. I was there and the front desk worker is very rude. My neice was walking the dog and stopped by the room and the front desk worker told her that if the dog steps in the room he was going to charge her room as well for a pet fee. The shower in the room looked like the ceiling was gonna fall through and patches everywhere in the bathroom. I seen a bug on the door that lead to an ajoinong room. I took a pic then image searched it. It was a cockroach or bedbug. I grabbed all our belongings and we checked out of the Hotel.

If you look at my profile and the reviews that I leave, you will see that Iā€™m a positive reviewer who tries to look for the best in everything and I honestly hate leaving bad reviews; however, this particular Quality Inn in Ann Arbor will have to be the exception. I donā€™t typically book anywhere without reading a million reviews but took a chance on this one because I thought I couldnā€™t go wrong with a place in Ann Arbor. I was wrong. First off, this place was in Ypsilanti, not too far from Ann Arbor but I can see the appeal of this location being near the highways, etc. it WAS pretty centrally located to a lot of restaurants and stores. This was a good aspect. And the only one. The front of the Quality Inn was fairly nice and even smelled of flowers - it looked well-kept. We only had to wait a few minutes for someone to come to the front desk to check us in. Not too bad so far. The lobby area looked okay but there was no 24 hour coffee to be seen. To the right of the lobby desk, there was a machine containing cold lemon infused water. It wasnā€™t cold and there was no lemon infusion. It was lukewarm and just gross. Once checked in, we walked to our room on the first floor - BEWARE the lobby and hallways are beyond HOT and I found myself sweating almost profusely just walking a few steps to our room. The room looked decent enough upon first-glance inspection. The AC was on (thankfully), there were two queen beds and we were also surprised to find a microwave and refrigerator - good bonuses. We then inspected the bathroom. This is where it started to get sketchy. The bathroom was a decent size, which contained the toilet and bathtub as well as a chair. There were also two bath towels and one washcloth draped over the towel rack. The toilet seat though was very loose and tricky, as well as dangerous to sit down on. The toilet paper was a roll that was nearly finished but luckily there was an extra roll. The flush was weak but did its job. When we inspected the bathtub, we decided then and there that we would not be showering at all. There were brown marks and holes in the tiles in the bathtub area. The tub itself contained a dirty, paper-thin bath mat which looked like it hadnā€™t been changed in quite a while - there were black feet stains on it and other signs of grime. At this point we thought we just had to deal with the gross tub which we could live with for a nightā€™s stay. At that point, we hadnā€™t eaten any dinner yet so we ventured out to a sushi place down the street called Poke Fish which was excellent. Again, you have your pick at a variety of restaurants; however, many of them close by 9 or 9:30 so just be mindful. When we returned to the hotel after dinner, all we wanted to do was relax, turn on the tv, and somewhat try to clean up without taking a full shower. When we tried to turn on the tv, we realized the remote wasnā€™t working. We checked the batteries and they seemed fine but we figured they were dead. We found a manual power button to the tv and turned it on and all we could get was a blue screen that kept displaying the message, ā€œno input.ā€ We checked the cords and everything seemed to be in place. After trying everything that we could, we decided to go to the front desk. Be forewarned that the staff are usually not by the front desk and you have to wait around for them typically. When we told the front desk person about the tv they said maintenance would come and look at it which we thought was strange. When we asked how long it would take, he didnā€™t know what to tell us. Luckily it was pretty late and we would probably be heading to bed soon but still, a working tv is a pretty basic thing to expect. Maintenance never came. We just went to sleep and were woken up by crackheads stomping back and forth upstairs every 20 minutes on the hour. We didnā€™t sleep much. The AC was mediocre as only one side of the vents worked and the next day I noticed dried puke on the side of the bed we didnā€™t sleep on. Overall UGH and an absolute waste of money. We usually love Quality Inn but this place is NEVER AGAIN.

This is the most nastiest location. The staff is horrible. They act like they're management but they're not. A company has been trying to get a hold of them so I can get a refund but they don't want to answer because they claim that their hotel is very clean. Do not go there. It's the worst service ever. They knock on your door and ask you if you want room service at like 8:00 in the morning knowing that people are still sleeping. It's just a horrible place. Do not go.

A true disaster of a hotel. There is no pool or hot tub as advertised. Front desk person said these accommodations had been closed for a significant period of time and that they'd not bothered to update the online information. The room, upon entering, it had dirty towels, wash clothes and used soap by the sink. We tried to switch rooms, but no other double was available. The toilet was broken and ran all night long. The full length mirror was missing as was the trash can, room phone and ice bucket. Under uv light the comforters showed heavy staining. The heat/ac unit in the room was successful at making noise and little else. The refrigerator was warm.

Only gave 1 star because zero stars is not an option. We booked the room for 2 days to spend the weekend with my grandfather for his bday and I am PISSED AND DISGUSTED. When we checked in the first room was FILTHY, smelled horrible, and had stains EVERYWHERE! We requested another room and found out the pool was not working and out 2nd room was not much better than the first one. The beds were broke, the door did not lock properly, and there was a stench in the room. We requested a refund and was told we couldnā€™t get one because the front desk clerk wasnā€™t train on how to do so and the manager wouldnā€™t be in until 3 days later

Very disappointing. Booked this particular hotel because we were meeting friends for dinner and they were coming to our place and we were going to leave together. Most Quality Inns are nice but this one is so neglected it was awful. Some examples.....a sock, some potato chips and a used Q-tip were on the floor when we arrived. The door stop behind the bedroom door was smashed into the wall, the tub faucet handle came off in my hand, there were missing and non-working light bulbs, and the water faucets were backwards (Hot/Cold). It was probably nice when it was built but that was a long time ago and it seems very little effort is being put forth nowadays. Now, the jacuzzi tub was nice, the refrigerator worked fine and the room layout was perfect. Like I said, the room was nice....just not maintained. Such a shame.

Overall a dirty beaten down hotel. It wasn't clean from the entrance to the room. The room didn't have a working window AC and it would be hours before someone could fix it, verses giving me a new room. The hallway was even warm so I don't even think a new room would have helped. The room was so dirty where I couldn't tell if the stains were blood stains or what. Once I got to the room, I knew I couldn't stay since I wasn't comfortable and didn't feel safe. I immediately went down and checked out. They wouldn't refund my credit card because a manager would need to do it. The manager who was just there 5 minutes prior when I checked in, was now gone? I wasn't able to get refunded and now fighting to correct this mess! I left there without knowing where I would be staying for the next 9 nights while in town for training. It was very stressful and upsetting. The whole experience has been horrible and my reviews of the hotel will hopefully save the next poor soul from going through this stressful situation as well!

A wonderful and polite manger and staff. I have been traveling for 24 months consecutively and best value by far. There is plenty to do in Ann Arbor for entertainment. If you go you might want to stay forever šŸ˜

Stay away! Reserved a king suite which was not available when I got there. Found a cockroach in my cooler. Other reviewers also complained about roaches so this seems to be an on going problem.Towels smelled disgusting. The front desk clerk didn't seem to care and said that there was nothing that he could do. After I pointed out that there were 12 cars in the parking lot he gave me a handicap room that was in disrepair. Breakfast was a joke. Front desk staff was worse. This place is horrible!

Came down here because we wanted to be close to the hospital for our daughters surgery early in the morning. The front desk clerk was very unhelpful and rude. Hotel is very dirty and run down. Looks nothing like the photos. When we went to the pool area it was a huge disappointment. The pool was freezing, no hot tub, and there were no towels put out.

Staff is never at the front desk. The breakfast is very minimal and they didn't have coffee and their juice machine only shot out water. They had a basket of fruit rotting. You have to literally shove your shoulders into the door to even enter your room. Doors are off set. Not really sure if they truly changed the sheets due to finding black stuff on white sheets. Broken air conditioner that makes a very loud sound. Dirty poorly maintained pool/broken down hot tub. I use to be a house keeper and this is unacceptable. You want your people to feel comfortable and satisfied with their stay. Staff is not very friendly. We will not be staying here again. It was just one thing after another.

Extremely disappointed with the room. Definitely not what was described. Very dirty. The bathroom floor is filthy as is the shower! The guy at the front desk was somewhat helpful when asked about getting sheets. The pool is closed and I have 2 extremely disappointed boys! Paid way too much for this room!

Run down. Room had a running toilet, no phone, no trash can in the room. Used my phone to call the front desk and they hung up on me. Twice. Housekeeping woke me up in the morning. I picked this place because of the hottub pictures, but after checking in, front desk guy told me the hottub and pool have been out of commission for almost a year. Heater wouldn't turn off. Had to open the window because it was 20 degrees outside to cool the room down. Just a poorly managed establishment with rude employees. No redeeming factors.

We were booked for two nights, stayed one only because we used points and it was late we were exhausted, 1st room no tv. 2nd room hadnā€™t been cleaned, 3rd room we stayed in. Mold in wall heater, toilet wouldnā€™t flush, tub was filthy, no trash can, tv didnā€™t work. Had to get our own towels, no coffee in the room, just the pot and cups. Breakfast was supposed to be served until 9:30. Ten minutes after 9 everything was put away. Hallways and elevator dirty and smelled terrible. The guy at front desk last night was super sweet and polite. The guy working the desk this morning was a complete jerk, he was rude, refused to give me a receipt when we checked out at 10:45.

They should pay you to stay here. If there was a 'No Star' option I would choose that. We got ripped off. Quite honestly the place should be condemned and shut down or simply razed to start over. I would not trust this hotels safety checklist to be in compliance , in working order or possibly out of code. BLACK MOLD growing in the rooms air vents (see photo). The free breakfast..? Lets just say as meager as it was there's absolutely no way I would eat anything coming from this place for health reasons.Want to work out or go for a swim.? Forget it. Both doors are secured with rusty padlocks. When asking to use these amenities the front desk (when they were there) said they didn't open up until 11:00am and the manager would have to be called. The TV's in both of our rooms did not work. The desk help came to one of our rooms to investigate and said the hotels technician had recently quit. Again, the manager would have to be called. This quickly became the apparent theme and rehearsed by the employees. Never go barefoot in the rooms, the floors were damp and odorous. The bed's slept fine, sheets were pressed and tightly tucked so that was about it for the positives. Stay at your own risk, best of luck !

It was alright. Room was clean. Ice machine upstairs didn't work. Soda machine down stairs took my money and my drink got stuck. Vending machine upstairs wouldn't take dollars. Other than that it was a good place to stay since the Marriott was fully booked.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY PAY THE EXTRA MONEY TO STAY DOMEWHERE ELSE!!! If i could give it zero stars i would!! I had arrived and waited for someone to come to the desk to checked in. They couldn't check me in due to some issue that their computer system was having. I had to call customer service to get it figured out instead of him. He was very passive and not very helpful. Once issue was figured out after about 30 minutes, I was checked in. The place was DISGUSTING and FILTHY. The closet shelf was broken, there was blood spots on the back of the pillow case, for a reservation that stated 4 people, we only had 1 set of towels. Went to the desk and waited 15 minutes for the front desk agent to come back so I could get more. I left due to sick of waiting. There were, who I would assume are friends, family or homeless people sitting in the entryway with children on the luggage racks that have some belongings on them. As soon as you get out of the vehicle at the entryway , all you can smell is Marijuana, yes I know it's legal in Michigan, however when it is going into the hotel and down the hallway when it's supposed to be non smoking. I don't want my 5 year old to be exposed to that considering we were only there for her surgery the next day. I had decided to check out due to the hospital stating that they were going to keep her over night and they had space for is to stay there. I told them I was checking due to staying at the hospital. The guy in the morning was beyond profession and rude. Told me I had to give 24hr notice in order to cancel without being charged.i was like no in the cancelation policy it stated that if I didn't cancel the whole reservation OR didn't show up I would be charged for one night. I showed up, I checked in , and should have been refunded the 2nd night. But nope they stolen money from me and REFUSED to print me a receipt for the money charged to my credit card. The agent morning cussed at me and there is literally nobody to talk to except for corporate seeing the management company is impossible to get a hold of.

I've never given a bad review before but... We waited 20 min to check in, as no one was at the desk until the clerk ran in. Either late for work or went and got food. Room: obscenities drawn on bathroom door and painted over crappily on wall in room. Needed help with TV, guy said he'd come to room, never did. Eventually, we figured it out on our own. Broken edging on mirror, room door stuck horribly on the floor. Wouldn't recommend it unless you're desperate šŸ˜‰

I wish I had done my research before booking here. Carpet in the room had red hair dye all over it, toliet lid did not fit, breakfeast was bad, pool was dirty and had no heater, no hot tub, door would have to be slammed to be closed. Do not stay here

  • 1/5 Levi M. 5 months ago on Google
Between the apathetic check-in clerk, the room smelling of cigarette smoke, not getting the room I reserved, the pool being closed, the dingy paint, broken fixtures, ripped carpet, door that has clearly been kicked in and not properly repaired, broken door locks, and no screen on the window when we tried to air out the room I am unimpressed. However, the bed was clean without odor and relatively comfortable but that DOESN'T outweigh the other issues.

This facility should be condemned. It is not suitable for public use. We have opened a formal complaint with the Michigan Attorney General to investigate the facility, services and business practices. Please don't consider booking this hotel. We left immediately after arrival. We were immediately charged for our full stay after the front desk stated they would not as it was clear we checked out 5 minutes after arrival. We have pictures of bugs in the bed. Brown stained pillows and linens. Filthy rooms, hallways, common areas. This place is not habitable.

Was checking into the hotel, I I've been on the road for 2hours. I had to use the bathroom so badly. The guy at the front desk was very rude. When I asked for the key to the bathroom. He said no the bathroom door was locked. I had to hold it till I got up to my room. I couldnt use that bathroom. There wasn't a out of order sign on the door or nothing. Very hateful look very hateful way he said it. I had to go outside and take a p*** in the parking lot. Because I couldn't make it up to my room. I'm very disappointed in the way a quality and employee handled that. I hope the manager does something to correct the way this guy treated a guest. If not I will have to contact corporate a very disappointed in this hotel.

This is the most disappointing Quality Inn that Iā€™ve stayed in. The room reeked of cigarette smoke. The bed sheet had a brown stain. When I touched it, it felt like something dried on the sheet. It should have been clearly visible to whoever made the bed. There was also stains on the white comforter. I had to sleep with a towel covering the sheet stain. Speaking of towels, there were only 2 very thin, worn out towels in the room. There was hair (not mine) on the wall of bathroom that I noticed while showering. The walls in bathroom looked dirty, This is not a typical Quality Inn experience. Iā€™m a Choice Hotel member and was surprised about the quality of this particular hotel. I would not stay there again.

The maid is great the place was very clean. However the maintenance is sorely lacking not sure if it's just management don't want to spend the money or don't have the staff. Management staff leaves something to be desired as a platinum member it really shouldn't be an issue for a late check-out they need to work on their Staffing not to mention the little disconcerting when you walk in and the gentleman sitting at behind the counter is wearing a gun holster.

Do not stay here! The exterior was the first clue as to how bad this stay would be. The photo on Expedia shows a bright, well-kept circle drive and an inviting entrance. The reality is that the grounds had not received the spring cleaning or received any basic lawn care for some time. Still hoping this would not be a total disaster, I entered the building, and the nightmare continued. The lobby consists of three main areas a seating area with couches, a breakfast counter, and the registration desk in the far-right corner. The entire area was poorly lit and had a musty scent. The whole room is reminiscent of a basement in need of a remodel. The logoed carpet was stained and behind the Formica countertop was a tattered quality Inn banner held in place by twine. Registration was quick and painless; the gentleman behind the counter was courteous and well-trained. My room location was a short 10 yards to the lobby. I passed the business center that looked more like a closet with a chair and desk than somewhere you would want to conduct any business. The carpet was tattered and stained. At this point, it was no surprise that Interring the room required a key swipe and a shoulder nudge. The room was small, but the size was what I expected. From left to right, the room consisted of a combination bathroom sink, coffee maker, countertop. Through the chipped paint, open partisan was a brown chair possibly picked up at a yard sale ten years ago, a television sitting on a chipped particle board stand, and a desk with a lamp. At the end of the room was a window that looked out onto the unkempt courtyard; an overgrowing bush partially obscured the view. On the left of the main room where two queen-sized beds covered with white comforters that seemed out of place in the musty room. As you entered the room, you noticed the bathroom on the left side, and just behind the door was a closet area that held an ironing board and a few other items that I never entirely made out in the dark room. The room's floor was covered in the same dirty carpet as the outer hallway. The bathroom was the most well-lit area in the room, and this was not hard to do, considering that the light in the foyer area didn't work. The toilet sat in some sort of sealed rim covered in what I kept telling myself was rust, and while seated, the entire unit rocked from side to side. The bathroom shower/tub was clean but in need of replacement. It was late, and I didn't have the energy to change rooms at that point, so I slept on top of the comforter and checked out first thing in the morning. In conclusion, this place should be avoided unless you are looking for a horror or crime movie set. 1 star is generous!

First we were given a room that already had people in it. The guy up front put us in another room 109, which had a broken bed, and a broken light. The cable they use is having some type of issues so all of the 15 channels you had to catch were all static and had a distorted picture, the pool was not heated, the pool bathrooms are absolutely atrocious, found a chip in the drawer under the TV, the toilet paper holder was missing the middle bar so there was a roll of half used toilet paper sitting in the back of the toilet. Went to have breakfast in the lobby and the containers they have the milk in were completely crusty with white flakes from not being washed.. As someone who works in the service industry i find it very hard to complain because I know the stress that can cause for someone, but this was completely unacceptable... I take a trip up to ann arbor even June and have never had a worse experience.

Terrible experience. Paid for a room and when I unlocked it, the TV was on, the bed was unmade and the room reeked of cigarette smoke. The clerk said he was unable to refund my payment. When I called the manager Eric, the next day he was unhelpful as well. He told me he would run the issue down and call me, which he did not do. I will elevate the issue to the ownership. Beware of this place and STAY AWAY!

First room we entered was filthy. Peices of toilet paper on the floor, dirt in the entry, counters not cleaned so we could see the leavings of someone's soda. Second room we were given smelled of smoke. (Many of the rooms had smokers in them. Smell was strong in the hallway.) Third room is OK but TV is terrible. In fact, my husband turned the TV's on in each room to watch a game and none of the TVs work properly.

The host Eric at the front desk was the nicest person, very friendly and helpful. He helped us when my wife broke her hand and we needed special accommodations. We enjoyed chatting with Eric as well and found we had similar backgrounds and a common history. The TV channel selection was great and housekeeping was also extremely cordial and helpful.

If I could give this hotel 0 stars I would. We attempted to stay at this hotel because it was close to our family that we were visiting and it had a pool. We checked in unpacked our vehicle went up to the room and that is when I realized there is no way I can stay here with my family. Door had clearly been attempted to be opened with a prybar or something, there were cigarette holes in the comforter, the tiles on the bathroom floor were coming up, it smelled like roach spray, there were 2 semi-clean towels for 4 people. For us this issues were clear 1. Cleanliness 2. General maintenance 3. General safety and security. At that point we packed all our personal items on a cart and checked out.

  • 3/5 Zack V. 1 year ago on Google
Most reviews seemed to be pretty negative about cleanliness but I had none of those issues personally. I rented a single king size with a couch and work desk room while I was in between places during my move. However, It was kind of dark in the room and the wifi kept disconnecting every 5 minutes and I ordered a room with a work desk specifically to work on my YouTube career. Could barely even just post on Twitter.

The first room they gave us here had rips in the sheets like an animal ripped it up and a bite taken out of the plastic protector on the box spring. The second room we were given wasnā€™t in great shape either. Thereā€™s a mirror missing from the bathroom door with chunks of the mirrorā€™s frame still there, thereā€™s screws on the wall for a missing picture frame, someone stole the landline phone, the curtains are broken, and thereā€™s cracks in the tub. The hall ways smell like someone was smoking cigarets in them. We tried to get a refund to go elsewhere and they donā€™t offer refunds. I would not recommend going here.

Wish I read the reviews before I booked. Iā€™ve stayed at a few diff Quality inns and they were very nice. This place is fun down. The only reason I booked this place was because the picture of the room had a jacuzzi tubā€¦ well no jacuzzi tub. The front lobby is run down, stains all over the carpet. The elevator made weird noises paint was falling off door. The room smelled like an underground smoking lounge. My wife and I took one step in the room and turned around. i was willing to forget about the jacuzzi not being in the room but I didnā€™t want to smell like an ash tray. I went to front desk to get my money back so I could stay somewhere elseā€¦ he basically said tough luck. I guess it was worth loosing the money to not stay at that place. We took a 2 hour nap in the car and drove homeā€¦ what a nice get away the wife and I had! Iā€™m waiting to hear back from Choice hotels and Expedia on my refund. Expedia was great and polite so was choice hotels. I guess quality inn is independently ownedā€¦ Choice should think about dropping this place.

We arrived around 10:30 to check in on a Thursday night and no one was there. We waited for over 15 minutes when someone finally walked in from outside. There had been a sign that said he would return in a minute because he was helping another guest. Clearly not! He began yelling at me and then called me a racist. We went to our room and then the police were at my door saying we had to leave. Incredible that a rude, belligerent employee can make up a lie to save his job and get me kicked out of a hotel. We were able to stay that night but were forced to leave the next day when we had planned to stay for two more nights for the Michigan game I did not get my money back. The next morning there was no one again at the front desk. I did not get a receipt I did not get a copy of the supposed video they had of me being a racist. I have the email for the manager and I emailed him-never heard back. I asked for the corporate contact information and never got that. The cleaning ladies were very nice. Our room was clean but the tv did not work and the shower curtain did not reach into the tub so water goes everywhere.

As with others the staff is rarely at the front desk and nobody is in uniform so good luck finding anyone to help. You can find the maintenance guy but he smells like booze and seems to be responding to few of the many problems clearly present in the rooms. A sheet was on the front desk which shows requests to change rooms. One couple found blood on their sheets. Our room was actually clean, but the rudeness of the staff and the overall threatening atmosphere of a place like this is below the hospitality industry. Below the standards of quality inn and Choice Hotels the group that owns the brand. Eric Temple the General Manager is especially a problem. Besides the words he called my wife, the obvious racism in his bringing up her skin color, he was purely rude and it looks like from the other reviews that he has an "on/off" switch for hospitality. He was purely rude and insulting and refused to help in any way. The only thing he did right was not charge us for the room he refused to give us after we brought some of our complaints to him in hopes of changing rooms and getting a better rate for one more night. I expected them to try and charge it anyway. The place just feels like a trap and a con. Plenty of people had valid reasons for wanting refunds and or a change of room and they would disappear and just brush everything off. It was just a gross run down hotel with nobody in it interested in helping, or doing anything besides shrug you off. The maids were in uniform, but they also peek into rooms through the peephole instead of knocking. If there was a redeemable quality to speak of. There was one person at the front desk the first day who was decent. But that was one fraction of this particular employees day and based on everything else we saw and experienced it's just very unlikely that he was innocent of the same kind of rudeness that seemed to be present in every person who identified themselves as an employee. I wouldn't return here if it was the only warm bed left on the planet. Not after the way the GM spoke to my wife and then the way he spoke to me. If we had gotten one shred of help or understanding maybe I'd feel a little different, but it was pure resistance from the beginning. We should have trusted the reviews and avoided what they all seem to point to is a guaranteed terrible stay at a dreadful hotel. Quality Inn has some work to do as far as oversight and quality control. Shouldn't be hard when it's in the name, but it is clear this sight isn't visited much by any oversight.

The location was the only saving grace. Walking in, the first thing I noticed was in smelled like pot smoke. Yea, it's Michigan, but still. The front desk staff or lack thereof really didn't care about what was going on. When I got to my room, there were no blankets or sheets. I went to the front desk to get sheets, No blankets were available. I went to Meijer to get one. The shower curtain was mounted too high up. Water flooded the bathroom. Somebody could slip, or worse. Most of the lights in the room didn't work. Fortunately, I didn't need light to get sleep. To call this place a roach motel would be an insult to pesticides. Spend an extra ten or twenty bucks and go elsewhere. The only thing that could make this place worse was if they started renting beds by the hour.

As I sit at the Quality inn, in Ann Arbor I think to myself. Won't stay there again. Booked a jacuzzi room according to the pics on Expedia. When I go there no jacuzzi, didn't even bring that up untill we realized the public hottub/ jacuzzi is also broke was broke for the 5 days we were there and remains broke when asked if they had a hottub on the phone they said yes, why tell me yes if the answer I'd actually a no? The staff are really nice but the building needs upgrades and they need to update that No, they do not have a Working Hottub. And the jacuzzi rooms on Expedia are not actually jacuzzi rooms. Also the pool room is Very cold about 60Ā°

The rock band Greta Van Fleet cancelled their show due to illness. They did not announce until March 16, 2022. This was the same day for the deadline of the cancellation for Quality Inn , Ann Arbor. We had planned to go but the band cancelling was not our fault. This hotel and Choice Hotelā€™s customer service refused to give us our money back and were even rude about. So not only did I lose 200 plus for the concert but the hotel screwed us over regarding something we had no control over. Every time I called Choice customer service they kept saying we are sorry unfortunately itā€™s past the cancellation deadline. We were long time customers and never complained even though some of their hotels are substandard we stayed because we believed they were fair. Now that we know they are not we will never stay at any Choice location again. Their customer service people are rude, condescending, and so obviously located in another country. To be clear I am not angry about the concert being cancelled because they are honoring the tickets at another time and I understand at least one member of the band was hospitalized.. It was a situation no one could have predicted. Choice showed their lack of character and that they donā€™t care anything about their customers. Again rude manager in Ann Arbor and even worse customer service. Ripped up our choice privilege membership. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!

The rooms are decent and fairly clean for the price, but the staff is practically non-existent. When I walked into the lobby, there wasn't an employee standing behind the counter. I had to wait a while before he came from the back room to help me get checked in.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! I'll be filing a complaint with MI Attorney General and county health department; this hotel should be shut down, doesn't deserves a 0/5 rating. Only reason I gave it a 1/5 is can't post without some type of rating. Do not use the pictures on-line as gauge of what this place looks like, because what's in pictures isn't what you'll find upon entering thru double doors, where it immediately goes downhill. Place smells, it's dirty, customer service skills lacking from people behind front desk as well as maintenance staff. Stay out of room 244 for sure. Checked in 11/24 to find room 244 had no TV and no refrigerator; entryway floor, walls, ceiling, were splattered with I don't know what. Room smelled musty, lights didn't work, bathtub was filthy, furniture damaged, most of lights didn't work, bathroom toilet seat broken, one roll of toilet paper left on toilet tank cover for two people to use, toilet tank refills about 15 minutes so it's running all thru the night; black mold on ceiling above the bathtub. Charged $885.98($356.00/night + taxes/fees) for two nights because it's MI/OSU weekend, what a joke. Requested fresh towels for Saturday night and I was brought two hand towels with blue stipe thru middle; towels used in their gym! Could it have gotten any worse? Oh yes, when the roach was crawling up the bathroom wall. Choice Hotels, is this how you want your brand represented? People, go across the street to Regent where they have 4/5 and 5/5 ratings. Unfortunately, we were stuck, no availability elsewhere.
