I would not recommend this establishment. I went today for brunch to celebrate my birthday. When we got there, all the tables were full and we were told that there is no wait because people tend to just sit and drink . No biggie . We go to the bar and are immediately served. I order the bottomless mimosas, and they were meh . They really were not that good , definitely not worth $15, but whatever. A table becomes available, but when we got there , it took a while for our waitress to come, and when she did , her entire disposition was unwelcoming . Like I get that you may be tired , but you do not have to be rude . It seemed like it took forever for our food to come , and when it did , it wasn’t even hot , and it wasn’t that good either tbh . I had to ask three people for my drinks because our waitress was nowhere to be found . I ended up only having two mimosas when I paid for bottomless , so when the check came , she decided to drop two mimosas off at the table . 😒 AND THEN , they took an automatic gratuity , even though the check states they only do that for a party of SIX OR MORE — we were a party of THREE . The music and the atmosphere was a vibe, but it wasn’t worth going back to that place .

My boyfriend and I had fun while drinking mimosas (different flavors 😋) listening to music!!! Oh and Must try Belgian waffles bites 🧇 delicious 😉🙂.. Fun place to go with any friends and family!!

The restaurant is in an old historic building really cool. Service is quick and helpful. Had a pulled pork platter it was delicious. The onion rings are delicious and ranch dressing is yummy. The bar is really cool looking. It has a large selection of whiskey’s

Way too loud, waited over 10 minutes and no server. We went to bar, and ask for drinks and snotty waitress said she would be over and we waited another 10 minutes, and she never came. We left ro go to Frescos!

DO NOT bring your kids here. I tried to come here last night at midnight with my twin 5 year olds. All I wanted to do was dance and talk about Paw Patrol with my kids. When I first arrived, a man the size of Hagrid from the Harry Potter movies picked up one of my children, brought him behind the bar, and had him cleaning dishes. My other child was then taken by DJ TRINIDAD and taught how to do the Cupid Shuffle. This is all happening while I'm just trying to eat an uncrustable and enjoy my evening. Long story short, I'm home this morning but would really like my kids back. Please federal bar, where are they?

Great options for cocktails with amazing service. I would recommend this in the downtown area for some good meal and drinks .

This place is a vibe! People are great! The food is amazing and the mimosas are on point. We came for brunch at 1130. Didn’t leave until 4 pm. Live dj too.

It was awesome it's called now The Back Nine and we had so much fun with the virtual game and the food was delicious. It a perfect family fun place.

I’ve seen this numerous times and have to comment: Federal Bar and Mojo Federal aren’t the same thing. They are in the old federal building, hence their names. Federal Bar has been closed for MONTHS now and The Back Nine has occupied that space for quite some time. I don’t know why The Back Nine can’t claim this address but I feel as if it has something to do with Federal Bar and their owners, which could potentially color a very unprofessional behavior to prevent a newly opened business from being able to advertise their new location. Mojo Federal makes great BBQ and deserves praise too, but Federal Bar and their previous owners are preventing the Back Nine from getting proper exposure. This makes me want to boycott and avoid any projects their owner(s) might ever put forward in the future. Because, if they can’t respect a new business in their old space (which isn’t much of an ask), what’s to say they would respect new clientele?

We suggested Mojo to a family member who was in town for business and hadn't been to Mojo before. Sadly Mojo wasn't on their game lastnight. The atmosphere was stale, no music until we were getting our bill, minimal interaction, we almost felt like we were there and shouldn't have been. The waiter didn't check back on us after we got our food. The burnt ends were dry. BBQ was just okay. Boom Boom shrimp lacked sauce. Wings were flash fried a little too long making them more dry. We were disappointed and apologized to our guest for the less than expected experience. Maybe next time Mojo?

Visited with Mom and daughter on Sunday. Sat outside because Mom had her chihuahua in tow. Josh took great care of us. He was attentive to every need and provided fantastic service. The food was delish. It was a great experience for Moms first visit to Lakeland.

We went to this bar to celebrate a friends birthday and the service started off great. As the night progressed our waitress Cheyenne stopped coming back. She forgot my drink two times and when a friend called her over she huffed and turned around to state her name is Cheyenne and ask what she wanted. As the night came to an end I went to cash out on my tab and my card completely vanished but was never charged. The manager was awesome in this situation and assured me she would look for my card, but Cheyenne and another bar tender said I was accusing them of stealing it when I simply asked for them to find my card. This bar is nice, but the service from specific people was terrible. If you go to this bar close out the tab every time and do not let them hold your card. Thank you.

It's been a while since I've been there (2022) I did enjoy the music each time I went plus its in town but thereafter I felt that I could not trust the bartenders and others there, which is why before left home I made sure I would not need to purchase drinks there. When I arrived I was told the music part was officially close...Truth is I was REALLY HAPPY to hear that and whoever decided to make that decision I would like for you to know, you may have possibly save many lives. A lot of people walk around clueless of their surroundings while predators are out to kill their joy when all some want to do is have a good time. Thank you for you sacrifice!!!!!! Excellent night, spent our 16-year anniversary there. Wonderful atmosphere and food. Not pretentious but not your average BBQ joint.

It was just total fabulous. At the back part of the bar to ourselves with a party of 40 to 50 the apps kept coming they were absolutely phenomenalthe waitress was outstanding in the wait staff that helped her was just greatwould definitely recommend this to anybody to have a party or somebody for their birthday or shower or something

Updated: Love the people, location, food and atmosphere here. I highly recommend spending some time here. They have a great happy hour. Today I enjoyed the buffalo cauliflower it was delicious. You should go try out their menu and drink items!

This spot really surprised me!!! The chicken and waffles are everything. The sausage taco I had was excellent as well. Good price for the serving. Only thing I didn’t like were the bottomless mimosas. The champagne was flat for everyone I had.

Rose and Maria took care of me for the night, making sure my glass was never empty. They were very attentive and always had a smile on their faces. I definitely recommend stopping by The Federal Bar, and be sure to ask for Rose or Maria for a drink.

Great place to visit good vibes good music ! Our server was amazing I recommend the nachos and brisket burnt ends and the Banana pudding was the best I’ve ever had in my life!!!! Drinks were great as well! Definitely going back !

Great drinks. Good vibes. Food is pretty good too. They could work on faster service overall but I still like going. Brunch on Sundays are definitely a vibe🔥🔥🔥
