I always enjoy walking around Lake Morton and gazing at the beautiful lake and the swans. It's always peaceful. The cypress trees are beautiful also. But equally beautiful, are the homes. There were two that I focused on today, built by the same builder. I believe he lives in one of them. And I think about what it would be like to make a delicious cup of coffee and starting the morning off on one of the many balconies and just focusing on the experience, must be compelling.

Absolutely beautiful place to come and see wildlife and birds. The upkeep and care taken for the area is great. Be respectful of the birds and bring your families to enjoy.

Lake Morton is Lakeland’s best kept secret. Most of the ducks, geese, and swans are very tame and gentle. I would encourage visitors to bring food that is healthy to ducks, or ideally: bring quarters for the duck feed vending machines. NOT BREAD! Many unknowing visitors bring bread for the ducks, and ultimately spread unhealthy algae-causing bacteria to the lake. Also steer clear of the nests, the birds will aggressively guard their eggs. All of the swans are city owned. There are many birds that are local celebrities, such as Gary the Turkey, the Sebastopol goose, and the Black-necked swan since they are one of a kind.

Soothes the soul to walk amidst the waterfowl here. They love anyone with proper food.

What a cool experience feeding the birds at the lake. Lake Morton is such an awesome lake Very pretty lake as well. Wish my kids were with me. They would have had so much fun. Props to the city of Lakeland. So many birds to see and a very enjoyable walk around the lake.

This little lake is a bird haven. There are many swans and ducks as well as other species I don't know enough to identify. It has a few areas for sitting and a some feeding stations. You are not supposed to feed the birds bread, it is bad for their health!

Beautiful lake, one of the prettiest in Lakeland. LOTS of birds, including multiple duck species, white swans, black swans, and seagulls. The swans have built lots of nests lately.

Exquisite. This lake and the swans, ducks, geese, etc. are the reason I moved to Lakeland. You must visit! (Side note: bread isn't good for ducks/geese if you decide to feed them......plain uncooked old fashioned oats is what bring! They love it and we love them :)

If you are looking for a peaceful place to take pictures of and actually enjoy your surrounding and nature look no further. I never seen so many swans in my life in one area lol. I stumbled upon this place when I drove by and seen how nice it is I had to stop and take pictures.

Relaxing park with a lot of ducks and swans. Benches are available for resting. Food can be despence for .25 cents to feed the wild ducks and swans, bring your quarters. These birds know it too, as soon as you get the food, they wake up. It is very relaxing and has a great opportunity for some awesome pics. Nice family place or just quite time.

we found this lake by accident and decide to stick around. its in a historic district and the homes around the park are beautiful. we walked around the lake, found a sign that said it was 1 mile around, no walking path unless you cross the street. lots of pelicans, ducks, swans and a nesting area for swans and their babies and lots of other birds that I can't name

A great place to get in touch with nature. Lots of bird that you can feed. The swans are majestic. There are even food dispensing machines for a quarter. Just a little piece of nature in the city.

Nice lake. Lot of swans and ducks to look at. Parking on the side of the street. The ducks are friendly, not scare of you at all. There's a food dispenser if you want to feed the ducks, and swans. There are a variety of ducks there. Nice place for a little walk.

Beautiful lake with benches and a few picnic tables. Lots of birds. Bring some cracked corn or appropriate food (not bread!), otherwise they have quarter ($0.25 per turn) food dispensers distributed around the lake area. Great place to sit and eat lunch or to bring the kids to feed the ducks.
