Extensive resort for skiing, mountain biking & hiking in the Carpathian mountain range. People often mention time,
Bukovel offers a fantastic skiing experience with modern facilities and a lively atmosphere. Be prepared for crowds and higher prices, especially during peak season. Consider visiting during the shoulder seasons (early or late winter) for a more relaxed and affordable experience.
Peak season is December to February. Book accommodation and ski passes well in advance. English is spoken by many staff, but knowing basic Ukrainian or Russian can be helpful. Transportation from major cities is readily available but plan ahead. Check weather and slope conditions before you go.
The slopes were impeccably groomed, making for a fantastic day of skiing.
While the resort is beautiful, be prepared for a hefty price tag.
The lift lines moved quickly, which meant more time on the slopes!
The sheer number of people was overwhelming, especially near the base.
A great place to ski and snowboard if you are prepared for some commercialization.

Nice and beautiful place. You can spend here 3 to 4 days in summer time with family and friends. Some areas good for kids and adults. You can swim at the near lake. Take the chairlifts up the mountain to get a beautiful photos of the nature. If you like skiing so this place is for you. Snow will cover the whole area at winter time so you can choose how many days needed to stay.
First time at skiing but this was an absolutely awesome place. Two days in high season was about $75 so it's hard to beat. Nice slopes can get busy on weekends. I hear some of staff can get cranky at times. It all seemed pretty decent for us.
It was very nice place and so amazing .people sherfull and kind U can spend there an amazing time and unforgetable . It will all the time in your mind and you will thi k all the time how you can return there and relive the same travel and the same hotel and the same food .its was great and fantastic
What you need to know about Bukovel (compared to Alpine resorts) it’s small but still decent size, lots of hotels, bars and restaurants, expensive for Ukraine, but still cheaper than the Alps. It’s generally about 30-40% too busy for it’s size. Skiing is OK only… it’s quite disconnected, basically 3 areas - starting at lifts 2, 5 or 7. The areas from 5 & 7 have connections, but lift 2 is a particular choke point with old fashioned lifts - 2x chair and 4x chair. We had the added misfortune to come when the 4x chair was out of service. This resulted in queues of 90 minutes!!!! That will simply ruin your day, but there’s no other way to get across the resort. Because of these poor connections, and many day visitors from surrounding areas, the car traffic at the end of the ski day is horrible also. Seems to me they could invest in better lifts, and make a trail from top of 7 to lift 1 perhaps… when it comes to restaurants, you’ll find yourself eating at any one of the many Cartel owned places, with their high prices and mediocre dishes. Else you’ll be stuck with Ukrainian food or pizza - both of which are fine; but not more than once per week for me… Anyway, not the worst resort I’ve been to, but sooo far from the best.
Impressed how much they advanced in terms of service and comfort. The prices for the ski are very fair, accommodation can be expensive according to the locals' income but it all depends on the provider. But even if the price is quite high - the comfort is guaranteed! The most unfair price I would say is in the restaurants. But the view from the top of the mountain makes you feel like like in heaven... Also you can find plenty of activities.
A resort worth visiting. Everything is well organized, the prices are average and the food is almost everywhere from good to very good and you can find even cheap accommodation in more than decent conditions. Besides the slopes there are all kinds of activities so if you don't just want to ski or come with someone who doesn't ski, don't get bored. Regarding the slopes, I would like to mention: they are blue, red and black, but if you are snowboarding on many of the blue ones, there are straight sections that you stop on, no matter how fast you come.
It is a nice resort and it's worth a visit, especially during the winter holidays. The prices are average and the food is incredible. There are lots of activities, skiing, snowboarding and many more, so you don't get bored. Also, it is a great place to visit during summer time. The nature is very beautiful and there is a lake were you can sunbath.
Very nice place to spend some time in summer. Couple of lifts are working, and there's great view from above and you can always find a place for a small picnic. There's also a lake where you can swim or sunbath near, but make sure that weather forecast is good, it gets really chilly in the mountains.
The workouts are structured, not overwhelming, but you definitely feel your muscles working afterwards.
