I received a check after eating at this restaurant and gave them my card to pay for the meal. I was charged more money than the check showed. I brought this up to the owner who proceeded to tell me I was in the wrong. Multiple workers at the restaurant told me to be quiet or leave after they stole money from me. The owner conceded they “usually don’t hire workers like him” in regards to the waiter and acknowledged that he changed the amount charged more than once, yet still refused treat us with any amount of respect. We were mocked and shushed and asked to leave repeatedly for asking that the bill be corrected. Our food order also wasn’t correct to begin with.

Came to Jacksonville Beach for a short getaway with friends. Found Casa Maria on the internet. The atmosphere is great. I love the outdoor courtyard look. The food was good. I ordered the shrimp chimichangas. They weren't the best I've ever had, but I would definitely go back and try some other items. The drinks were also good and the prices were very reasonable. This seems like the kind if place that might really light up at night and be a great place to hang out and party.

This Mexican restaurant has truly been a delightful experience. I've savored a variety of their dishes, with a special fondness for their chunky guacamole edition. Absolutely loved every bit of it!

Absolutely delicious food and great service. The pork burrito was so tasty with rice and a salad on top. The rib eye steak was well seasoned and so good. Highly recommend this place. Prices were very reasonable.

Hands down one of the best Mexican spots I've been to and I've been to many actual Mexican restaurants in Mexico haha. Tacos were phenomenal, margaritas were perfect, chips and salsa were fantastic. Will be back many times! Very good prices as well.

GREAT Mexican food and GREAT spot! Such a cute outdoor area for some fajitas 🌮 We split the fajitas for 2 and it was SO worth the price, $25 and we got so much we got to take leftovers home! The taste of the food was yummy 😋 there guacamole was fresh and you could definitely tell! Will definitely be back after their renovations 👍🏼

Nice little Mexican restaurant. Good service and great food. There's also a little quad in the center of the building for outside seating.

My husband and I sat at the bar and had a lovely experience. The food was delicious and fresh, from the guac to the chorizo. Our bartender Katie was kind and friendly. Plus the margs she made were highly delectable. Experiences like this keep us coming back to Casa Maria.

Slow service but I don’t care this is the best Mexican in Jax. Ambient music is way too loud… maybe it’s so people can’t hear my tastebuds begging for more. Ok maybe that one was over the top.

I go to Casa Maria in Durbin Creek faithfully once per week. They NEVER LET ME DOWN. I knew I shouldn’t be unfaithful to that location. This location was very unpleasant to say the least. The food here was disgusting. Not only that but the rice & beans were smaller than a kids meal portion. I’m not exaggerating, they served me literally 1/4 cup of rice, 1/3 cup to the MAX. What kind of portion is that? I would expect a side portion of rice & beans to be much more than that! The margaritas are HALF the size of the other location for the same price. I wish I had a picture to upload but I didn’t even think to take one because you could see more bare plate than food on my plate and that’s quite embarrassing. The chips were not hot and there weren’t many in the basket. Despite having table of 6, they only brought one basket of chips rather than 2. We had to keep asking for chips as well as drinks because the waiter wouldn’t check and he’d run away so fast every time he dropped something off to the table. I was extremely disappointed. I do not recommend this location at all.

Must visit for everyone! This location is at the corner of 3rd St S. and 25th Ave. South, on the Northeast corner, inside the arched plaza. They offer outside courtyard dining, inside table and booths, and bar area. The service is on the spot, and I have never had a bad experience at this great Mexican Venue. Want a new and exciting experience?, ask for the chiles toreados, with grilled onions, cut them up, mix and match with your meal, and ENJOY!!! Highly recommend that you take friends, family, or just sit at the bar, and tell Luis that Capt. Timbo says hi! Captain Timbo - Jacksonville Beach, Fl.

The chips, salsa, and queso were very good. Especially the chips. The cheese on the tacos had a little bit of aftertaste that I didn’t like. But overall it was good.

Our server was friendly, the atmosphere was fun & rather loud but that's it, the rest was disappointing. I'm sorry but I have two words for the chefs... cheap & lazy. I got the enchilada & Chile relleno, the cheese was like fake American white cheese inside, at least use the proper cheese!! There was nothing fresh or exciting on the plate that Mexican food is known for. Where's the cotija & cilantro? It should be a party on a plate & a party in your mouth.Granted I'm rather spoiled with the amazing mexican food from California, but come on. The meat in the enchilada, taco, & burrito was all the same boring ground beef that looked canned. The tortilla was not even toasted. The burrito was just like leftover meat thrown in a plain tortilla with canned sauce poured over it. Again I'm sorry but my husband also thought my burritos made from leftovers are far better. Step it up guys!

The chips and salsa are delicious but you’ll be eating them for two hours. Food was decent but cold because it took so long to get to us. 50% of the time we didn’t even get service after 30 minutes. Just poor management.

Shredded beef was extremely salty the chicken was dry as a desert. The peach margarita was delicious. Our waiter was very nice.

Everything looks dirty and sticky, bathrooms are in bad shape, they don't offer a Taco Tuesday and can't explain it simply, even though is recommended online. It took the waitress a whole 5 min to get some beers

Dark, dismal, slow. Food tasteless and small portions . We took guest. We ate indoors and outside clients got all the attention. We were not happpy. We have never given a bad review at any restaurant! Over $100 not wll spent.

Good place for drinks! Food was not good. Taco bell would have been better. Service was great and their margaritas 🍹 were really good.

Was not impressed with the food at all. The salsa tasted like dishwater smells. The chimichanga was nothing to write home about. My friend stated the black beans tasted strongly of vinegar. The only saving grace was the habanero salsa which is legit hot.

Second time in three visits where hair was found in my food. This time was a 12-14" long black hair woven into the cheese, beans, and shredded chicken. After returning for a refund I'm told " no one on the premises knows how to issue a refund...i will have to return tomorrow and MAYBE someone can help with a refund..." How is this even possible? Regardless, someone needs a hairnet in the kitchen. It really makes me question the overall cleanliness of the entire establishment. I understand these things will happen but twice back to back is unacceptable. Sorry but not sorry Casa Maria...we will not be returning.

This is hands down one of the worst places I have been to. They took forever, we waited about 1 hour to get our food and on top of that the food was not good at all and it was cold as well. When I express myself to the waitress and manager they treated us horribly as if we were in the wrong for expressing how bad the service and food was even though we are paying for it. I regret taking my family here, definitely will not be back.

Wow, we loved the experience we had here. Great food and drinks. Nice portions with great flavor, wait staff is friendly and fast. We will be coming back here for sure!!

The mild fall weather made the courtyard seating ideal. Food was tasty and hot. Service was spotty, but may be better when sitting inside. We were in no hurry while enjoying the fresh air at our umbrella protected table. The portions were surprisingly normal sized. Not gargantuan like so many restuarants these days. Filling and delicious food while offering a full bar. I'll be back if I can find a parking space. I got the last spot available at this popular beach shoping plaza.
