Holy Place for Hindu, MahabaliĀ templeĀ is a highly revered shrine of Lord Hanuman located in Imphal City It stands on the banks of the Imphal River among the groves, Mahabali forest. The temple enshrines a beautiful idol of Lord Hanuman in human form. The idol is carved out on a big slab of stone. The temple is believed to have been built by King Garib Niwaj in 1725 AD. It conforms to the hut-type of Bengal style. The mandapam located in front of the temple has shadowed the structure of the main temple. Covered with a dome shaped hemi-spherical structure, the sanctum cube is raised as a rectangular structure up to roof. Kalasas are placed over the crown. Above the kalasas, there is a vase which holds pinnacle with Nilchakra. Shree Hanuman Thakur temple is a memento of the Ramanandi cult of Hinduism in Manipur.

Its a temple to worship lord hanuman and also a dwelling place for the monkeys. The experience of feeding the monkeys is great. If you want to feed them, i will suggest you some. They don't like very sweet food and prefer the plain ones. They also like bread, papaya, ladu and watin.

A Hindu temple , Nice place to visit here with kids, lots and lots of monkeys running around freely,Kids will enjoy can feeding them but they may try to grab your bags or eatables from your hand. You may also see lots of sadhus from different parts of India sitting around the temple from and don't be surprised if they speak your own language. Don't miss this place if you are in Imphal.

The temple is situated on the bank of the Imphal river. King Garib Niwaj founded the temple in the year 1725 AD.On the templeā€™s front side, a Mandapa had also been constructed, which helped shadow the temple structure. The temple is significant and also has religious significance in the state of Manipur.

Load Hanuman Mandir in centre of Imphal. There are a lot of monkey also. If you want to show monkey to your kids ,its the place you can take them. Beware of this monkey. They tried to snitch your belonging if you tease them. There is some superstitious that if a child is very weak then take the blessing from this temple and feed the child with remaining food which is eaten by this monkey. Then the child will be healthier than ever.

Lot of monkeys. They snatch it if u take any food items before you realise it. Maintenance was not good. The temple lacked cleanliness in and around it except the deity area. Less crowded when we went.

Mahabali temple is associated with the temple of Hanuman, The true follower of Lord Ram. You can witness the Monkeys playing around the temple and the Nearby woods. Legend has the story that any Monkey that cross the Road surrounding the Mahabali temple is outcast and couldn't enter the area again.

The temple area lack hygiene . Make yourself ready for a long walk as transportation can be an issue. Unless you own a vehicle or book yourself a private taxi.

The Mahabali Hamuman ji murti is nice. However, the temple (situated in Imphal) needs to be maintained properly and better cleanliness is required. ą¤¬ą¤œą¤°ą¤‚ą¤— ą¤¬ą¤²ą„€ ą¤•ą„€ ą¤œą¤Æą„¤
