The gym is way too crowded, people there are not respectful. The membership took 10 minutes to signup. However, the cancellation took over a month and still hasn’t been processed yet. They will promise you no questions asked policy if you need to cancel in the first 10 days, but a guy in the management was very rude and he interrogated me like a cop and treated very poorly questioning my affordability and saying “of course you are going to club 16” - why is that any of your concern where I go next? I had to talk to 2 different people just to know that I can simply send an email to cancel.

Great location that is easy to access from the highway. The staff were friendly upon arrival and were happy to show me around. They have a good atmosphere that makes you feel very comfortable. The facilities were new and clean. I can say the same about the equipment. They also have a steam room and an infrared sauna in the change room for after workout. The also have massive TVs if the game is on. I really enjoyed my workout here.

Worst customer service of any gym I have ever been to. I have been to hundreds of gyms all over the world and I’ve never had a gym so concerned about money over customer satisfaction. I was barred access to this gym sometime in September due to vaccination passports I kindly asked to cancel my membership as I had no plan on getting this risky shot. They were so busy at the front desk dealing with all this as many people were trying to cancel, so they offered me a four month freeze which out of the kindness of my heart due to the situation at the front door I said all right. A few months later I was sent an email regarding the vaccination status which I then responded by saying I would like this membership to be cancelled as I can no longer use this gym. My email was acknowledged but my membership was not cancelled. Then out of nowhere at the beginning of this year charges had started coming out of my account from golds gym without my notification. It took me three charges before I noticed that I was being charged. I immediately contacted the gym and said I am still not able to use your gym can you please refund these charges as it is very unfair to be charged for a gym I cannot use. They then told me that I would not be refunded the $65 that I have been charged and if I want to cancel my membership it would be $300. But I’m not the one who denied me access from the gym, Golds did. I sent multiple emails back-and-forth explaining the situation that it is not right to charge someone for a gym membership that they cannot use and that is completely out of their control, they said I was still inside my contract and that I would have to pay the $300 to cancel but I did not see in the contract that I signed that I would be denied access from the gym and still be charged for it which is completely unacceptable. After many failed emails I had to phone my bank wait on hold for over an hour and have these charges marked as fraudulent to have them returned to my bank account. I then had to cancel my visa so that golds could no longer fraudulently charge me any more money for a gym membership that I cannot use. Not once did they apologize not once did they offer me a refund all they just wanted was more money. I have never seen a gym treat their customers so poorly it’s very sad to see an established business like this rip people off for something that is completely out of their control. I will boycott this gym for the rest of my life and recommend anyone else thinking about going to this gym to find a better gym that actually cares about their customers because golds clearly does not. The gym is also frequently over busy as well and there’s not a pleasant place to work out they don’t even have a punching bag. If I could rate this gym negative stars I would.

This is a horrible gym. Do not waste your money to train there unless you like being in an overcrowded facility with not enough equipment and customers that have never heard of "gym etiquette." I foolishly signed in to a 2 year membership that I paid for and honoured even though I left the gym in less than a year to find a better facility. Gold's continued to charge me after my 2 year membership period and added interest charges that totalled over $400.00 after the fact. I was forced to give Gold's 1 star in order to post this review. There would be no stars at all if that were an option. Avoid getting burnt by this substandard company.

Very good gym in terms of equipment but not so trustworthy sales people. Me and my partner signed up with this gym and was lied about the ways we could cancel our membership if we have to. We were told if we were to move away we could provide flight tickets and have our membership cancelled . But it turned out we can’t do that . It did say so in the agreement but it wasn’t what we were told verbally . I wouldn’t be so trusting with their WORDS next time. Read the agreement all the way thoroughly. Edit: gonna edit my in initial review of giving them two star. they are going to give you hell if you want to cancel your membership for very VALID REASONS. my partner who is studying in another country has been dealing with them for more than two weeks of emailing back and forth . The amount of documents they ask , to finally find the reason to cancel your membership will be more than your mortgage application and your life loan. Basically your going to be signing your life away when you sign the agreement.

For me to take time out of work and write a review is a lot, nor do I like to cause trouble. I just want to share my experience that can save others a hassle and potential harassment. Being a nurse and also a business owner, I didn't think I would go through a major downfall. Life happened where I lost my house and had to move in with relatives while I went through counselling and getting back on my feet now 2.5years later. These guys sent me to collections for over $600.00 not because of gym time I used but because OF A CONTRACT. Even knowing the circumstance I was in. With that being said, started then harassment phone calls, once again because of a CONTRACT. We are in an era where please try to refrain from any signage of contracts as possible. Then this year they sent another total to collections for an account that did not exist trying to collect extra money. Thank God I still kept the email of confirmation from 2.5 years ago. When I called, I knew I also needed email proof so they don't lie. Instead of an apology of trying to extort more money and sending it to collections, the women recanted and said she didn't have proof in writing but I sent the previous email for account closure and final receipt from the years prior. These idiots have caused so much time wastage and stress. To make time to even do this review, I'm at work on my break. I could of course not afford a lawyer than whereas I can now and would of fought this just for the purpose of humanity. I have a membership with Club 16/She's Fit, Club Pilates and a personal trainer now. They are not like this. Transparency is key and this company really will Destry you when there is a bigger picture in life. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THEM. THEY HAVE NOT CHANGED ANYTHING. Anyhow if you go through something in life, the customer service you will received from this company is beyond disgusting. There are many companies with policies in place like ones I work for and I own where we consider cancellation of services and deposit based on individual need. I will be posting more on my blogs in the upcoming months in regards to contracts. Also when approaching them, assure you have it in email - which is what I did to assure they didn't falsely take more money.

Canceled my membership in March (2020) and received email confirmation from Safana that the membership had been canceled. Six months later I get a random charge from Golds Gym for almost $200! Come on Golds, get your sh**t together!!

I don’t know why I thought it would be a good deal to sign up with a big gym again. Should have learned my lesson from the past. Somehow as my initial contract was nearing expiration they have me locked in to another 2 year contract which of course Antonio failed to mention when I adjusted my membership. Can’t wait to pay some sort of fee at the end to close my account for good. So disappointing.

I have a terrible experience with this gym. My wife and I had account with them and I even brought 4 friends in this Gym. During the Covid, I couldn't go to the gym and they sent my account to a collection company. I had an email from their manager that he has freezed my account but they don't care because the manager has changed. Now, after 1 year, it has affected my credit, and I can't get a loan. I won't make any agreement with any GoldsGym anymore.

From my limited experience this is not the best facility available in the area. The customer service and management at this location is simply put not good. It isn’t atrocious but it is not up to what most would consider a good standard. Manager (‘J’) is unwilling to make time or provide reasonable responses to inquiries. Answers questions through his staff rather than ensuring customers feel heard. Staff at front desk are very friendly however. Do not recommend even for a trial as they will hang on to technicalities to avoid following through on what they promise/offer (as evidenced by many reviews, not just this one). I would recommend reading on in the reviews to build a more full opinion. Not many are positive and the ones that are positive look like their origin may be from within the gym. As many seem to agree on, the management here lack the ethics and/or caring that is expected from a brand like this. I wrote this review after taking time to reflect and shake off the negative feelings. This was still my opinion

This gym's management and ownership are horrendous and beyond negligent. After paying off the amount owing on my membership and canceling, they were reluctant to provide any confirmation my account is canceled, and now I get why. They had sent my account to collections AFTER BEING TOLD I HAD NOTHING OWING AND PAIDD THE DEPT, which had a massive impact on my credit score. I then asked if they would assist in removing my account, and they told me there was nothing they could do and had to deal with collections. I then contacted collections, and they said there was nothing they could do as Golds Gym had said my account is still owing. They have not responded to any request from myself or the collections agency in over a month to even attempt at resolving this. This business is beyond horrible do, not sign up here unless you want to ruin your credit score and jump through hoops to cancel a contract that is already month-month. It's embarrassing they are allowed to operate this negligently.

They management do NOT follow the protocols during this pandemic time. Not a safe place to exercise. The management ignore our request to hold the charge to our credit cards although none of us feel safe and dont go to gym.

I've been Gold's gym member for about a year and half. The gym is pretty good and all the staff members are nice, however the manager is so rude. He just give good service when a new person wanna get the club's membership. His attitude is super rude and doesn't even say hi to the members when they walk in to the club. He is not Professional and doesn't know anything about customer service. The zero star is only for the manager (Joel Robinson) not for the whole club.

Very disappointing experience trying to find out membership pricing. I drive by this location every day and now that Covid restrictions are lifted I want to join a gym hence stopping by. I was on my lunch brake so didn't have a lot of time and I was there before on the free trial, so didn't need to tour the facility, just wanted to know promotions and pricing. Reception girl called over one of the managers so we can talk. I explained how I'm familiar with the facility and due to the time crunch I'm only here today to gather membership options. He told me that id depends on what I'm using, if I go to classes etc. Then I asked how much is it then, answer was about $45. I followed up with a question if we could sit down and get exact pricing to join. The manager told me that he won't do it without tour of facility and just looked at me.. I felt awkward and had to leave without any idea what it's gonna take to join the gym.. I know it's a nice gym, I've been there - bit surprised by this outcome. *Update*. Thank you for sending me your offer, I'll review it.

Great gym for the price but don’t have high expectations in terms of cleanliness and proper working equipment. They would benefit from a better cleaning company to start but for 30$ a month that’s what you pay for. The 24 hour section is NOT open since covid and it doesn’t seem like they have plans to re-open it. I wouldn’t recommend this gym unless it is the only one that fits your budget.

I am super happy that I signed up here. The people who come here are more serious about a good, balanced and hard work out - which is quite motivating too. Great variety of different machines and cardio equipment.

Awful Gym. Terrible customer service. Pre - Covid i cut my foot in the shower and they told me the GM would call back to ensure I was healing ok.... No call. During covid I had a question and was told the GM was going to call me... no call. protocols are terrible for COVID, they charge you membership dues even when not using the facilities because they are not at full capacity and not doing classes. I would not recommend this gym to anyone.

Decent gym facilities and price. Cancellation is difficult, drawn out and expensive however, making it hard to trust management and sales. Many gyms do not mess you around with contracts, this one does. It is the first gym i have been to that makes you pay when you put the membership on pause.

A Very spacious and clean gym. Stacked with weight lifting and cardio equipment. The internal design and layout of very cool and feels welcoming and cozy, despite its large size. Giving it a 4 star because I’ve only tried this location in the covid era and for the most part group classes have been cancelled. Can be a bit pricey too when compared to other gyms, although they do give you the option of a month to month contract as a new member, which other clubs do not offer.

I have been a member since Golds Poco has opened and was super impressed back then and even more now since COVID. The staff is so amazing, they are always making sure everyone is happy and safe. I am always so impressed with the cleanliness during my workouts and that there is always someone waving and saying hi to make me feel at home. There is no reason to not absolutely love this gym!!!

For those of you curious about going back after the pandemic, here is my honest review: Some good stuff: everyone is cleaning down their stations, everyone gets a personal spray bottle for the duration of their workout, and it is far less packed even at full capacity (which was 75 ppl when I went), and temperature checks are being enforced Downsides: it is not possible to maintain a 2 meter distance from others at all times, not all equipment is 2 meters apart or spaced out well enough that you can maintain 2 meters from others while grabbing more weights etc, and aside from the staff, nobody is wearing a mask. I saw 1 person wear a mask while walking between equipment and take it off while using equipment, but nobody else attending was even that courteous. I understand that Golds has requested their patrons to wear masks whenever possible if unable to maintain distance from others, but nobody attending seems to care about this. Would return if other patrons were more respectful of adhering to this health guideline.

This review is about "Complimentary Fitness Orientation" that is a total waste of time (1 hour). There is no fitness orientation or complimentary personal training .They just call you and enter some data in the software and just TALK, TALK TALK!! When they are done with the non stop blabbering then comes the "SALES PITCH" to spend more money and join personal training sessions. Why do so much of drama regarding this, stop wasting the valuable 1 hour from peoples lives and let them know in the beginning that this is nothing like Complimentary Fitness Orientation but just a SALES PITCH!! I always knew golds gym is famous for its pushy sales tactics but this was extremely disappointing.

It is a rip off so please don't sign up, it is NOT as advertised. I signed up under the false guarantee of access to group fitness classes. The classes are always full. You have to sign up ahead of time, but unless you get in within literally 2 minutes of the class posting, you can never get in. Good luck cancelling your membership, even for breach of contract. They ignore you at first, then try to scam you for $300 fees and worse, try to ruin credit histories too.

I've been a member of Gold's Gym in PoCo for several years, and while I love the facilities and the classes they offer, I've had some frustrating experiences with their promotions and false advertising. I left Gold's Gym in 2021 because they didn't offer Zumba classes, which are essential to my fitness routine and the only services I need from my membership. I then switched to Fitness World but always wanted to come back to Gold's Gym in PoCo as long as they were able to get back Zumba classes and allow for enough people to participate to the class. However, my experience with their promotional offers has been disappointing. A friend told me about the 'Get What Your Friend Got' Promo, and managed to get her friend's rate. But when I tried to do the same with my friend Nancy, my request was declined, despite the lack of clear conditions on the website. This felt like false advertising to me. Furthermore, I received a text message a few days ago from Gold's Gym offering a special rejoining rate between Feb 15-19, promising a 1-year membership at the same rates. I initially joined at $13.99, but when I inquired about getting that rate back, management offered me $21.99 instead. This inconsistency and lack of follow-through on promises are frustrating. What's most upsetting is that while $8.00 (bi-weekly) may not seem like much especially for institutions like Gold's Gym, it's a significant amount to me. I've repeatedly asked for my old rates back, as I left the gym solely because they weren't meeting my needs. Despite their advertisements and promises, I still haven't received any resolution. Overall, while I appreciate the gym itself and the classes they offer which is why I rejoined last month despite not being happy with the rate extended to me but I'm disappointed with Gold's Gym's false advertising and unfulfilled promises regarding promotions and rates. It's disheartening to feel like a loyal customer isn't valued or listened to. All I am asking is to get my old rate back, and it seems like all they are doing is enticing people to join and give them cheaper rates forgetting or ignoring those who are there and supporting them. They balance or priority between Acquisition & Retention doesn't feel right.

Worst gym ever Total SCAM I came as a guest they forced me to get a membership with the promise of if I cancel in 10 days I am not gonna be charged anything after a day I emailed to cancel but never got a proper respond now I’ve been charged for 2 months and still they are not giving me an answer. This gym feels more like a dealership than a gym just go somewhere else it doesn’t worth it.

I sent an e-mail to cancel my membership, I didn’t want to renew it. I also have an e-mail of confirmation from Safana. Stating my cancelation has been accepted. This was back in September 17 2018. December 7 2020 I receive a letter from credit bureau of Canada collections for a bill of $296.40. I was very confused, my first thought was, how could a bill go straight to collections, and how could I owe money when I cancelled membership. I immediately contacted the collection agency, then Golds Gym. I told the girl the reason I was calling and that I was very upset about this matter. ( I’m sure she knew I was) her responses were not intelligent to say the least. She actually told me that they have a lot of clients and they cannot contact each individual. Can you imagine!? Regardless, after a long debate and proof of my claims she finally was getting the point. There are many complaints regarding this exact issue. No company has the right to overcharge, and especially send no bill, no notice, but go straight to collections. That’s some shady stuff. This business has no integrity. My advice to all of you is to contact the Better Business Bureau and file a complaint. I have!

Two months before my agreement end date, I had requested to cancel the membership. They ignored my cancelation request and charged my credit card again for annual membership for another year and kept deducting monthly payment from my account. I am not happy with their management services and the way they treated their members during quarantine. Gold Gym management does not care about customers' financial issues in this critical time.

I have been coming to golds gym for one year. This Year I decided to inquire about personal training and I met with Paolo. He has helped me have a clear plan in the gym and a purpose for every workout. In the last month the results i have seen have far surpassed the entire first year in the gym! I highly recommend working with a trainer and I recommend Paolo!

I have been enjoying this Gym so far. I thoroughly recommend this Gym to anyone in the area. Why? 1) The administration team is professional and supportive, according to your needs and goals. Paolo is professional and encouraging, and Ruba and Christiana are lovely and supportive people as well. 2) I have personal training sessions with Erica and Sky; they are knowledgeable and great trainers for achieving your goals. All in all, you should be part of this beautiful and positive Gym community. God Bless you all.

I’ve gone to this location for 6 years now. The gym is always clean and they keep up with the maintenance of the equipment. The staff always seem to be helpful and look welcoming. The problem? Way too many people they’ve signed up. I had to walk out of the gym today because there wasn’t one piece of equipment that I could use. Haven’t done that once in my life. From the stretch area with the turf to the front of the gym with the dumbbells was all being used. Looks like I’m going elsewhere.

Great place with good personal trainers. If you need a good push to your new life change journey, Maria is your person. She is helpful and understands your needs. She takes time to teach you to understand your body and all the machines that you can find in the gym. Selective machines, clean space. The gym is a bit busy sometimes, but the gym community is good and patient.

Golds Gym PoCo is a great gym, I love the layout and the fact that there’s a women’s only space. Cleanest gym I have been to. Only 75 people MAX in a large space. You get your own sanitized water bottle upon entry. Someone there to check your temperature and monitor. 5 stars for sure👍🏻

Don't sign up for 24hr if you have good luck trying to cancel there is a reason people sign up For 24hr yes I understand it's covid but other gyms just adapt the will just give you the run around about canceling when I signed up I sign a contract for a 24 gym not days I have been reading there are alot of un happy people and the news might even bee doing a story best of luck

Equipment and resources are excellent. Downside is many members completely ignore protocols like only using one piece of equipment each time and wiping each down after use and I've never seen any held accountable. Top notch facility though

After closure of my previous gym , I was introduced to Golds gym . They were very warm , welcoming and made me feel very comfortable. The staff is courteous with a very professional approach. They go out of there way in helping you and accommodating your needs . Their equipment are of top of line . The best is that during this COVID time they follow all the protocol very diligently and strictly which makes us all feel secure . It is a pleasure working out in this gym . I wish them all the success that they so deserve. Would recommend to all .

This place is professional, they care about your safety. The equipment is cleaned constantly by staff and after each use by the customer. Gold's has every kind of equipment needed to all exercises that are needed. And if you don't know how to use a piece of equipment the staff is more than knowledgeable on how the equipment should be used. If you don't want to ask the staff just watch others that use the equipment and you learn very quickly. And the best way to learn how to do anything is just do it.

Love it here. Left my previous gym when covid started because of how poor of a cleaning job they did. Gold's is the opposite, everything here is clean. Their cleaning staff is always around cleaning. Great selection of equipment and free weights. Anything broken is fixed quickly.

The reason for a two-star rating was due to a manager that I have never met she was Hella rude! Overall the gym equipment is decent and the staff are okay. I was scheduled for surgery in a week I asked if I can suspend my gym memberships for a few weeks up to a month while I recover? She told me I was not able to suspend it at all and when I asked if she had any suggestions on what I should do as I can't use the gym for 2-4 weeks she basically told me there was nothing I could do except paying for each month and start working out again when I was healthy enough to do so.

Very happy with this gym, I go 5 to 7 days a week usually during busy times and have been coming to Gold's Poco for 9 months now. The management and staff are very friendly and I always appreciate their welcoming greetings. The gym is clean, spacious, and has all the machines I need for a great workout! 5 Stars

I always thoroughly enjoy working out at this facility. It's got such a great atmosphere and the staff are friendlier and more helpful than at any other gym that I've been to. Always plenty of weights to choose from and I hardly ever find myself waiting for machines or racks. I really couldn't ask for much more.

Well managed from the top down. Staff at the front counter are very personable and extremely friendly. You are greeted as you enter and exit the the facility. The gym is well maintained and clean. Finally for Joel, he is fair but firm which speaks to a well run gym.

Nothing but great staff and service every time I'm here. The gym itself has a huge variety of equipment to accommodate most people's goals. The facility is always clean and members generally do their part - racking their weights and wiping down equipment after use. Overall, I enjoy every visit and would recommend this gym to friends and family. Give Roilo a shout at the front desk!

I love this gym. It is my go to gym always! I have trained here with Erica, she is AMAZING!!! So knowledgeable, full of passion and she gives the best stretches after each exercise. I have trained with others before in other gyms as well and I have never been more happy than when I trained with Erica. I learned so much from her, I can’t say enough. She is a true professional trainer, the best in all of Vancouver!!!!!! Thank you Erica for your passion, your professionalism, your kindness and for being just genuine to help me learn about fitness! You are the best! I recommend golds gym because of Erica!

This is the first gym I’ve ever been to. The environment is great, I’ve met a lot of awesome people. Paolo & Aruba we’re very welcoming and helped me take that first leap into the life of fitness. Paolo’s training has been the only thing that has taken me out of a muscle building plateau, and helped me learn the ins and outs of training properly.

Came here for a workout, Showed up at 8 am. Never been here before was hoping to get a workout in. Asked to sign up for a month and staff was not able to do so until 9 am ( not a big deal ) Asked to workout until then I’ll buy a drop in pass ( $21 ) Can’t do that either because I recently moved here and they won’t accept the temporary ID. Honesty why does a gym need a ID? Just let me pay and workout. Let alone this gym is $200+ a month which is insane. This is the main issues with these chain gyms. You can’t just show up and buy a pass. Very disappointed in this place. The lady was very nice upfront. ( not her fault ) Went down the road and got a workout in at another local gym!!!!

This is by far the best gym in the area. I joined in January and have been training with Lucas, who is one of the personal trainers. Lucas is a very knowledgeable and effective personal trainer, who has helped me shape up and gain strength. His training techniques are highly effective and results-oriented. He practices what he preaches and motivates you with his positive demeanour. I highly recommend him. The local management team is also great, as they are always willing to help and motivate you. Always good vibes.

Avoid this place. Their staff is trained to give contradictory information on membership cancellation, basically to lie. They'll promise to cancel, then promise to send you an email or give you a call, but they never will. They keep charging your card forever. What a cheap show. West Coast Iron nearby is 100 times better.

Gym is fantastic. Staff are even more fantastic, particularly staff at the front counter. For those who have concerns about safety during the pandemic, staff are doing what they can and overall the gym is doing a good job implementing controls to keep people safe. There are always members who do not follow COVID protocols (like wearing their mask around their chin the whole time) but the staff do their best to educate them and correct their bad behaviour.

  • 5/5 Arnold B. 3 years ago on Google
Golds gym by far has been amazing during this pandemic. I know everyone has been very worried about entering the gym especially with COVID restrictions. The staff have been absolutely amazing, they are always on top of the cleanliness of the gym, there is always someone walking around ensuring masks are being worn at all times. They sanitize all the equipment during and after each session. Every member is equip with a sanitizer spray bottle when entering the gym to ensure that once the machines or equipment have been used, that they are sprayed down and wiped for the next person to use. It is great to know that I can come to the gym without any worry during this time and to get in a great workout. The session slots are a great way to actually focus on your fitness goals and the time slots make it so you train harder with the limited time that you have. For those who have been debating on coming back to the gym, I would highly recommend Golds gym. I feel safe knowing that the staff are always there to ensure the safety of others. All machines and equipment are always sanitized. It makes it worth the money you pay to know you are safe during this madness. We are all in this together. Thank you Golds gym. Thank you to all your staff and the clean team for always staying on top of everything.

Nothing but fake reviews here! This location is a joke and so are the COVID protocols! Weight area is packed! And congratulations on giving a sanitizing bottle when absolutely no one uses them! Most people do not even wear a mask properly. Then you have the changing room / bathroom where its packed with people not wearing a mask at all GOOD JOB

Do you want to be trapped in a contract? Do you want said contract to roll-over with no notice? I don't blame the majority of staff here for said contracts because they aren't taught the basics to the contracts either so don't get mad at the front desk, they did nothing wrong, however, the business structure is through and through a obligatory trap that tries its absolute best to hold you financially obligated. If you for some odd reason like this structure, and otherwise decent gym then this Gold's location is for you! Otherwise find one of the smaller gyms that actually cares about it's clientele and understand circumstantial changes such as job loss, family obligations, etc. My suggestion to any of the readers here is to not waste your time here. Yes, you may have to sacrifice the diversity of equipment at a smaller location, but at least you won't have to deal with the nightmare scenarios posed by contract obligations that are poorly explained by staff unfamiliar with their contracts. Poor communication leads to poor situations which is a reflection of a poorly structured money hungry company that is even more callous than my hands. Unfortunately can't give a 0/5 nor can I be there for every potential new client. Commission based (Should be explanation enough for the coercion based tactics for signing up)

After enrolling in various courses at many gyms, I was almost disappointed to be able to lose weight. But after coming to this new neighborhood and seeing the gold gym, I decided to try my luck again. Fortunately, the gym has a friendly atmosphere and, most importantly, energetic and dedicated staff and coaches. They was able to help me continue my training and now my body is very close to my ideal body.

I have been a member of this gym since it opened - I am still impressed every time I walk in there. Joel and his team are friendly and always willing to help you out if you need it. I have noticed people commenting on him and his team about attitude - I have yet to experience anything negative from them. The cleaning protocols have been amazing during this pandemic - I feel safer at the gym then I do when I go grocery shopping. If you are looking for a gym (and it doesn't matter your fitness level) this is the place you want to be

Nothing bad to say about this gym at all, always a great workout; Has everything you would ever need while not being too cluttered. Staff are all very friendly and willing to help when you have any questions or concerns. Golds has a really nice balance of atmosphere for anyone trying to achieve their goals, whether you are going 2 days a week or 7 days a week you'll never feel intimidated by anyone while working out no matter what kind of shape you are in. On the flipside, there will be always someone bigger/stronger/more fit than you to keep you humbled and motivated. Overall a great balance of people/atmosphere. W gym

I’ve had a gold gym member for a few years now . I have to say I only use their classes . Their instructors are amazing Kim and Lisa. They offer many group classes they are all very hard good classes especially the power class( weights class) and Blast class( hard cardio workout). Gold gym have been very flexible with holding your membership during Covid time so I give them credit for that for sure . They also have many promotions and my favourite is offering same price of my membership to my friends ( you can’t beat that). My membership is 23 bucks per month. You can’t get better deal than that - 24 hours gym workout and including these classes . Great atmosphere when you get in there and love to see all ages taking care of themselves

  • 4/5 Jared T. 1 year ago on Google
I went to Gold's gym because they claimed to offer free first time entry for anyone that lives within 15km away (I was not aware of the radius principle when I came), but they did not give me that offer because my license says I live further away (my parents house where I live for only two months of the year). That admission was $15.75. I spoke to the manager afterwards, and he said the place would text me a redeemable 1-time gym pass that I would need to respond to (I would need to respond on the day that I show up yet before I arrive in which case they would not accept it), but I never recieved that text. They also kept my ID while I worked out which is weird. Side note, I hear that the gym is great if you have a membership. EDIT: I just received a text a day later which got me the next visit free. Also, they are apparently clear with their rules, but I just got misinformed. For these reasons, I am shifting this rating from a one star rating to a four star rating.

Will always be my favourite gym! Spacious, good well maintained equipment! Only complaint is that it gets way to busy but that’s like any gym

  • 4/5 Andrew B. 1 year ago on Google
Pretty good for the price, but the upstairs is usually pretty packed, so you will have to wait for a machine or bench normally. Some staff is ok and smile and say hi, but a lot just ignore you as you come in, which isn't too big of a deal, im there to workout, just a bit odd. They have a good selection of machines and the place is very clean. I like coming here but after my contract might shop around to a less busy gym.

I was blown away by the customer service I received when I first came in with my sister as a guest. Cole showed us around the entire gym letting us know what Golds gym had to offer in PoCo. From the welcoming community to the outstanding customer service, the gym had everything I needed to do my full week workout rotation.
