I was there when this project started and it's good to see it currently in use, on that busy section of the East-west highway.

Rumuokoro flyover is fine, but the idea of drivers stopping passengers before climbing the flyover is stressful.... I mean I was going to rumuaholu I had to treak down from the beginning of bridge down down to get another ride

Used to have a crazy traffic jam but now free since the bridge constructionwas completed and the commencementof the usage. Even the taxi drivers 'load' their cars by thr side and no longer block the road as before. Because of this, it makes sense t access tgis road as it is not fast one.

Certainly one of the busiest Junctions in the city of Port-Harcourt. The flyover helped to ease the traffic on this junction. But more is needed to make the traffic flow faster.

I see it as a crossover and never a flyover. The reason (traffic decongestion) which it was primarily built for was not defeated. Rather, it is causing more traffic gridlock.

Rumuokoro flyover is truly a blessing because growing up in this environment I can tell you that wike did well because as of then, it was as if the road traders were going to take over the whole road causing serious traffic jams and the rest but as a result of this infrastructure I can say that it has been reduced, the thing now I don't like about this place now is that the Sars Police men staying under the flyover are seriously harassing young man and boys anyhow as a result of them just dressing clean and good it's very annoying and alarming the government should do something about this because I see no reason why they should be trying to go through someone's phone for no reason as if it's what they're paid to do.

Please be careful with the Police on mofty and police cap and walkie talkie most especially in the evening cus they just book you down for no offence and enter your car then ask you to drive down so that they can ask you to pay. Always drive with central lock system around there and be watchful with the traffic

This flyover is very strategic, and I must commend the then Governor Nyesom wike for the vision and the zeal to construct it within time and to standard ... because this flyover actually solved the traffic issue on that road and made a journey through that route seamless and easy. Rumuokoro is always crowded because its a densely populated area, and there is a big market there too that attracts people from different places ... the area also houses parks of most transport company and connects others states like bayelsa So the flyover has done alot of good and is well appreciated

Rowdy. The flyover didn't aid the traffic going down there. Wherever you're going, if this is your route, start out early. One positive thing is that things bought around this area are relatively cheaper compared to areas.

This place is known for its busyness... Trust me, you're not ready to go there if you don't have what needs your attention there or plying through there... It has a market that makes it more populated and very busy which also affects the cause of traffic within the location.

Quite busy place. Pedestrians need to hold on to their valuables to avoid being pick-pocketed. You can get vehicles heading to different locations from here

Wrong construction, no Uturn every motor comes to the round about making it congested at all time causing serious hazardous traffic.

The flyover wouldn't have been a one way drive. They would have linked the road coming from Rumigbo to also connect to the flyover to reduce traffic garm.

Nice job done by the construction company Less traffic Jam, and most of all easy reroute from nkpolu Axis to Mile 3 And also an Easy Access so the Eliozu and East west Road

Good Flyover constructed by RVSG. However, traffic still persists under the flyover. Unlike other flyovers that have a U turn option (which helps to ease traffic prior to the round about), that of Rumuokoro does not have this option. Consequently, the heavy traffic often experienced at Rumuokoro during rush hours.

It is a very rowdy and busy place on most days. The Rumuokoro flyover links ikwere road all the way to rukpoku, eneka, igurutali and other outskirt of rivers state. It also links east west road that is the Choba axis to the Tank, eleme and oil mill area. There are banks, churches and other stores in the area. The Rumuokoro market which is immediately after the flyover is a good place to buy food items, clothing items, shoes, electronics, kids toys, jewelry and other items. There is UBA, Ecobank, Fidelity Bank, Access Bank, Zenith bank and others banks around the flyover. The major landmark there is the Emmanuel Anglican Church. There are also car parks there for those looking for vehicles to travel to Bayelsa state, Owerri, Aba, Delta state and other states. There are police personnel always on standby due to the possibility of traffic jam around the flyover. It is advisable to not move here at night due to the present of street thugs who may rub you of your belonging and even harm you. There are also supermarkets around the flyover, there is chicken republic and other eateries around the flyover as well. It is a good place to find variety of fruits also because there are fruit traders along the flyover area. There are also cyber cafés around the flyover where you can print, photocopy and do other computer based activities. There are also residential properties in the area for those seeking for moderate or affordable accommodation from sing room houses, self contains and the like.

This point of reference has been blessed with a flyover but the responsible agency should decongest the commercial vehicles loading at various edge. So that other users will feel the benefit of the flyover

It's a really busy place, with lots of cars and people. There's usually little to no traffic there and there are sometimes guides to move the cars along faster.

  • 3/5 Vivian O. 1 year ago on Google
It was well constructed though I'm still of the opinions it was positioned wrongly due to the traffic on Ikwerre road

  • 5/5 Calista D. 1 year ago on Google
Wike really tried it's a very nice flyover making it easier for us coming from choba to easily cross to the other side.

  • 3/5 Amos Esuga K. 1 year ago on Google
It's okay. It has helped in reducing unnecessary delays and go slows mostly caused by the dense commercial vehicles along this axis.

  • 3/5 emmanuel o. 1 year ago on Google
The traffic jam was not funny, it took the military intervention to get the lines moving. The commercial vehicles are out off control every once unchecked.

  • 4/5 FRED E. 1 year ago on Google
I don't like the fact that one has to walk to the roundabout before you can cross to the other side. No Pedestrian cross road.

The flyover is top notch. Each time I'm passing there I feel like I've left Nigeria to Europe . 😊Wike finished work there. He did great.

Rumuokoro Flyover is a historic bridge that stands to reduce Holdup usually experience along that path. It is quite a beautiful edifice and yields to the gridlock experienced by the citizens of Rivers State. It is a dual carriageway and houses a beautiful interchange under the bridge.

The place is actually beautiful at night when the street lights come on, and cars are driving past with their headlights on.

Rumuokoro Flyover is ok.. But since the Task Force stopped work. Treaders and motorists has started selling and loading on the roads sides. Littering of dirts has increased. And the state government, has built numerous flyovers in the state. Has failed to provide street lights on or under the flyovers, therefore causing fears while people make use of the road 🛣️, especially under the flyovers.

This is the heart of Port Harcourt as long as road network is concerned. Their may be traffic some times due to rush hours except you use the flyover bridge.🌉

  • 3/5 Christopher B. 11 months ago on Google
Rumuokoro is usually not an easy place, with the new development which is the flyover has made it a little beautiful and safe due to security personnel around at night and during the day. The traffic isn't much less and the road design doesn't cover for easy bypass resulting to more concentration of vehicles at the roundabout under the east west road axis. It's really a good location for transport station now,and makes travel somewhat easy for passengers.

well built flyover. the city of port harcourt have an ease in movement with this infrastructure. they need to reduce the road blocks by food stuff traders along the road to the fly over.

It was rowdy, bustling, crazy as usual. I'm normally afraid of taking this route whenever I have to go somewhere that requires it. It's unsafe, gives a sense of claustrophobia, and all what none. The flyover itself is a wonderful idea, that's what rumuokoro needs, it's easily accessible, smooth, but its environs is my problem.

It is a significant infrastructure development that has greatly improved traffic flow and reduced congestion in the area. It's been a welcome addition for commuters, providing a smoother and more efficient way to traverse this busy junction. The structure and design are noteworthy, and it's a positive step toward enhancing transportation in the region.

The area is unsafe at night because of bad boy hovering around the flyover as from 8pm snatching bags and phones. So stay vigilant if you are that point from the hour of 8pm.
