Is
one
of
the
best
parks
in
Porto
Alegre
because
it
is
frequented
by
families
and
friends
with
a
very
good
level
of
clarification,
either
by
knowing
parks
in
other
places
of
the
world,
or
by
the
educational
level.
Obviously,
this
makes
the
difference
in
that
it
balances
the
presence
of
other
less
enlightened
regulars.
On
the
outskirts,
it
has
good
places
for
snacks
or
meals.
There
is
a
gigantic
monument
in
honor
of
Castelo
Branco,
which
takes
the
park
politically,
farther
to
the
right,
except
for
its
past
training
ground
of
the
Gremio
Football
Portoalegrense
and
one
of
the
last
five
great
hippodromes
remaining
in
the
19th
century.
It
was
also
built
,
a
few
decades
ago,
a
wheat
mill,
Azorean
style,
surrounded
by
a
lake
with
some
fauna.
Take
a
look
around
the
"24
hour
street",
which
is
a
block
from
the
park,
which
has
a
very
well-equipped
infrastructure
of
bars,
cafes,
restaurants
and
dances,
along
with
the
Moinhos
de
Vento
mall;
more
recently,
it
hosts
the
well-known
St.
Patrick's
Irish
festival
in
March.
It
was
also
a
characteristically
German
neighborhood.
