A bit costly, but a really nice restaurant. The staff is friendly. Service is fast. Variety of dishes to choose from. Seating is a bit difficult during rush hours. Some of the dishes are North Indian style. I had subzi biriyani and it was a bit spicy.

Went on a public holiday and they didn't have the Punjabi Thaali. Hence disappointed. Ended up ordering the Kebab and Pulav and Aloo Gobi. Quantity wasn't a lot. Kebab was kinda dry, but the PULAO WAS THE MOST AMAZING THING EVER. It was rightly cooked and perfect. Love the way the restaurant served salad and green chutney in all tables, which was complemented by lemon wedges. Service was fine. The place was crowded, and water bottle, CLEARLY MARKED 20 MRP WAS CHARGED AT 30 RS. Taxes were killer too. Not a very cheap lunch plan, but taste was good enough.

One of the best place to have Dhaba dining, Dishes were all good in quantity and quality but price is bit much. Must try Authentic Dhaba in Chennai.

A very good place for vegetarian food and jain foods. You get authentic North Indian variety food. The price is also nominal. The service was very good. Table reservations not required though you will be required to wait for a table. Altogether a good place for vegetarians who wants to taste North Indian cuisine

Reasonable price for Punjabi cuisine items. Great taste in Punjabi curries and good place to have Punjabi full meals (Punjabi Thali). Thali is served with tandoori naan and roti but portion of Naan offered in Thali is very small as compared to offered in à la carte.

I had ordered through swiggy.so this review is for delivery.just have a look at the rotis.burnt and it was clearly mentioned to them not to burn rotis .is this the kind of food anyone can eat and pls take a closer look I found a hair inside the roti while eating.i stopped eating same time .and I had ordered for panner along with dal makhani.im a north indian and for 37 years I've not seen even in the five stars if someone adds cheese on the top of panner sabzi.masaledar rasoi u must follow instructions while preparing order.dont send food which u cannot eat urself.pls stop providing burnt food .and look at ur hygiene which u provide and ur prices r too not cheap nor u providing food for free.really dissapointed I recieved my order late and I had to eat empty stomach.guys dnt order for this place.north indian food is superb.we dnt eat black rotis at all nor we stuff them with hair nor we add cheese on top f paneer dishes!!!! Worst taste.worst customer care and we ordered carrot halwa which costed us around 150 Inc taxes and it was hardly 3 TSP.........the quantity is so meagre that hardly d taste wl long .out f all most dissapointment is that instructions were mentioned not to burn rotis and send sufficient quantity of carrot halwa.none f it were followed!!!! Never going to order from u worst is swiggy too doesn't respond even after attaching pics.!!! I wll possibly share this review at every platform.people dnt order from here not great taste, price too high also burnt rotis with hair. As a matter f proof I'm also attaching pic of the bill order so that no one can say this is fake review.also see the cheese which had to b separated to make paneer edible.extremely dissapointed.

This restaurant is for only veggies and late night foodies. Its open till 3am and the ambience is also great. We were two and our bill was around 650. Staff were very generous and the food was good and tasty too. BTW, they serve only north indian food. Give it a try!

A good veg restaurant. Tasty food. But delayed much. Very small dining. May be around 30 can be seated in a very small area. Cramped.

Why is taste and proportion inversely proportional. I mean I would love to go to this place on any day but the portion is so less. The taste is so so so good.

It was one of the best dining experiences we had in Chennai. If you are looking for North Indian food in Chennai this is a must go. The service was on point and the waiters made sure we are comfortable! They answered any questions we had and made extra efforts to give us a great dining experience. My parents were quite impressed!

Never order a handi biryani from Masaledaar.....they will simply serve you vegetable pulao with fried onion slices on top. The quality and quantity of rice is too bad..... You can cook better rice at your home. The handi biryani I ordered was called so only because they served it in a handi shaped cutlery...... I don't know if they even know the meaning of what a handi is. Talking about the ambience....it's designed in a manner that if you are seating at Table 1, noone can sit on your adjustment table.....if someone happens to be thin enough.....you are definitely gonna end up squeezing this person. Cherry on the cake .......the prices are sky high.

Today went to.this place for dinner with my mother and sister and the waitress and waiter at the entrance noted my name and told me to wait for 15 minutes, but very unfortunate that they both were sending many people who came after us saying they were sent by owner. Though we were waiting for long time they let many people who came after us without minding us though my mother is a senior citizen. We kept asking this waitress who did not respond to our requests and we decided to take our dinner at Sangeeta , a very crowded place but they know hospitality. A place without hospitality is the best place to avoid on a weekend.

Although the seating capacity is limited, it compensates for it with its delicious food varieties along with good taste. Parking is not an issue since it's inside a plaza/complex.

We ordered handi biryani. Not upto the mark. Would rate it 3/10. No veggies, too much food color, more like flavoured rice. Miles to go. Not much repeat value. No sign of the handi. Came in plastic disposable container and if it was indeed handi biryani, definitely didn't taste like that ... U can tell handi biryani from its flavour ... Just calling it handi biryani does not make it handi biryani.

The food tastes wonderful..the food is very very delicious and not overpowering masala, very subtle yet perfect flavors. The service is even more wonderful, very polite and courteous staff, quick delivery of food and the ambience is warm with calming music in the background. Perfect for a family lunch.

Good food. Good service. But seating arrangement for two people kills the mood. The table is placed in too congested place.

Good and Tasty Punjabi food. The Lassi needs a face-lift. It was more of a madarasi Lassi than a Punjabi one.

The food is fine, no complaints on that. But this place doesn't follow the government rules. They don't provide free water. When we asked the waiter to bring hot water they made us wait for an hour. You will be forced to buy the bottled water at MRP. They even have a poster saying they serve only bottled water on MRP. Aren't they afraid of the authorities when doing something illegal? PROVIDE FREE WATER TO YOUR CUSTOMERS. Period.

Amazing restuarant, they have so many varieties of paneer varities, their starts like honey chilli potato, crispy corn is so good. Their best desert ghajar ka halwa is must try here and their sweets are served hot just don't miss the hot desserts here. Their service is very good and this place is a must try if you love north Indian food.👍

Very cozee atmosphere, the place is teeming with diners. The place was overflowing with guests waiting for a table. When we found our table on this busy Sunday, it was a welcome break. Purely vegetarian, this place served the best panneer dishes and kulchas. The rajma gravy was simply outstanding. The let down was the handi biryani, otherwise I would have given 5 stars

Very small eat out But we went for a change, not worth Not a big menu Taste neither good nor bad But slightly costly for what they offer But service was good For me sangeta desi mane is far better Sorry for the negative comment But that is the fact from my point of view

In a busy 35C Chennai afternoon, this place provides a quiet and cool air-conditioned spot for lunch. The prices are slightly above average and the food could be better but that doesn't bring down my recommendation.

  • 2/5 Lathangi R. 1 year ago on Google
As a vegetarian I used to go to this place during my college days 5yrs back where their panneer dishes used to be outstanding since they make their own panneer in the kitchen. With that same belief I took my parents to this place. Unexpectedly I was very disappointed this time. I ordered panner tikka which was very low in quantity. Which was not worth the money. Gravies were tasted average. Dal makhni was tastless too. I wish they must improve providing food worthfor money. But still quality of food is good. Ambience is excellent. Staff were very kind.

My go to place for dinner when I order out weekends. Food is usually good if you remember to say less oil. Mirch masala kofta is my favourite. Tonight I was super disappointed. The Punjabi Vege was not even cooked and most of it was American corn. For the first time I ordered dessert. The gulab jamun was fake. I bet there was hardly any khoa in it, just flour. Probably ready mix. And they charge INR 140 for two pieces. That's just fraud imo. So sorry, much as I have enjoyed everything else, tonight was disappointing.

Simply Wow.Every single Dish we ordered was absolutely delicious. I am definitely coming here again! North Indian cuisine at its finest. Small tip is to be early on weekends as there will be a bit of a wait time. But to me this restaurant is totally worth the wait.

Very nice tasty north indian food. I ordered via Swiggy (paneer dhaba style and dal makhani) and was impressed by quantity, was enough for 3 people. Taste was really nice. Also the garlic roti and lachha paratha were tasty. Will recommend to anyone looking for north indian food.

After wedding ceremonies we had diner at Masaledaar Desi Rasoi. Being from Europe finding good places to have diner isn't always easy. We are so glad that we've found this place and would truly recommend it to anyone, especially when you are unfamiliar with the Indian food. There was great help with the ordering proces and they made sure we ordered things we would love. Which we did! This place is truly a recommendation! If you are lucky the manager is around and doubles the hospitality!
