This is the place for authentic Thai food in India. This is an old restaurant with over 20 years of experience. There was Thai music inside and the service of the staff was excellent. In particular, when serving the food, he gave detailed explanations about the foods. Sanitary conditions were also quite satisfactory. It was an opportunity to experience delicious local food during a difficult time to visit Thailand due to Corona. This is a recommended place if you want to try Thai cuisine with your family or friends.

One of the most authentic Thai places that has been around for more than 20years. The ambience is simple yet pleasant. Staff are well versed in the menu and explain incase you don’t know what to order. Dishes were delicious and tasted authentic. Fairly priced. Definitely go to if you enjoy Thai. Highly recommend the Tohu Bhai bataey.

Best Thai food place in Chennai. Personally loved all the dishes except for the spring rolls and mushroom skewers. The tofu in pandan leaves was amazing, will visit again for this dish alone. Service was 5/5. Ambience was great. Priced high. VFM is something they can work on.

Visited Benjarong Thai restaurant last month. The Thai cuisine they served and the calm atmosphere were mind-blowing. I had visited this restaurant few years back with my family and loved the place. The taste of food is the main reason which brought me here again. The quality of food and consistent taste are much appreciated. Trust me.. you will really feel good once you visited here.

My first visit to any thai restaurant in chennai. Had a good experience. Before indulging into dishes was served a welcome appetizer platter. It hit strong in the end because of ginger and chilly 😵‍💫 What I ordered? Starters Tom yum Chicken Soup - tangy and tasty loaded with mushroom and chicken. Pandan chicken - Good one. Mojito Wild orchid - Orangey taste.Super good. Main course Khao pad bai graprau - A spicy chicken fried rice. Spicy goong (prawn)curry - Taste was amazing. Not very spicy as they claim. Fried rice and this curry made a good combination ❤️ Desserts Tub tim grob - Water chestnut rubies served in chilled coconut milk. Tasted real good. A must order dish. Khao niew mamuang rue sankhaya - A sweetened sticky rice along coconut milk and custard apple panacota. Panacota was delicious. Pricing seemed costly but it's worth every penny. The look and soothing vibe of the place resembles their authenticity to the thai cuisine.

This was an exclusive Thai restaurant with a home like feeling but a high end restaurant. The architecture and decor resembles Thailand. The service was extremely good. We tried numerous dishes and they were all delicious with unique flavors. Very pricey but very nice for a date or g for a family. They had seating for everyone. Parking is available.

Tried Tohu Hor Baitaey (Tofu wrapped in Pandan leaves & Fried) here and it's great. Had Khao Niew (Pandan Sticky Rice with Rose Ice Cream & Coconut Custard) for dessert and it's good too. The menu here is authentic Thai and the ambiance resembles it as well. Service is okay. Staff weren't clear about whether desserts in the menu were eggless or not.

The best place to have authentic Thai food. Tom yum chicken soup and pandan chicken were good as starters. Khao pad bai grapau seafood fried rice was yummy although the quantity was less. The waiter had gently suggested jasmine rice to go with the goong prawn red curry which proved to be the right call. The goong green curry is supposedly spicier. The meal was polished off with Tum tim grob as dessert which had water chestnuts in mildly sweetened coconut milk. The service was exemplary and not at all intrusive. Pricing is apt for the ambience, taste and service. Parking is limited, not sure if valet parking is available.

Benjarong has been an old favourite since many years. The familiarity feels great. However this time I felt the food lacked a certain punch! The flavours were very one dimensional. My reccos will be the complimentary Thai diy paan The stir fried veggies were excellent! The chicken cooked in pandan leaves and the fried ice cream Don't miss. The rubies in coconut milk.. that's something they've got down to pat... consistent over the years!

We had a booking for a table of 15 of us ... the food tasted authentic and wholesome .. the pan type starter with the spinach leaf base filled with lemon+ginger+onion +coconut + chilly+peanuts + sweet sauce was superb 👌🏼.. perfect blend of all tastes ... so appetising . ... For starters - The pandan chicken , the tamarind sauce prawn and the corn baskets were too good. Soup - the chicken basil / tomyum soup was so flavourful and perfect for the start. Main course - the pad Thai + burnt garlic friderice + green curry was yummy! Dessert - simple, light and perfect the Ruby red waterchestnut with coconut milk 🤩 Overall, we had an amazing dinner with excellent service from their staff in a festive ambiance ! Definitely recommend this place for some good food.

Benjarong is a restaurant that serves Thai food and has been into this for a very long time now which one will understand upon their first visit. Thai food in general has a lot of flavor and the freshness of ingredients add an extra kick that you can’t just not enjoy. Our orders consisted their signature pandan wrapped chicken - juicy succulent pieces of chicken(mostly thigh pieces) marinated and fried to perfection. Their appetiser plate is very refreshing and has a lot of texture and flavor. Our order also had tom yum soup, Thai Basil fried rice chicken and liked it too.

Benjarong has been serving Tasty Thai Food in Chennai for quite some time... Me and a friend decided to do am impromptu Lunch Meet and this was our favoured Choice... Benjarong has been one of my preferred restaurant for Thai Food... We settled down and ordered Tom Kha Soup, Red Curry Chicken with Jasmine Rice and Thai Basil Fried Rice... We also ordered a couple of Drinks.. We were served the welcome platter which as usual was tasty and the sauce is to die for... The TomKha Soup was excellent with the lemon grass cutting through the coconut milk and the chilli oil giving it a nice punch... One of the best soups in town... Then came the Main Course... The Red Curry Chicken with the Bamboo shoots brought back some great memories from Thailand... The Curry was an absolute delight... The Jasmine Rice was underwhelming and it felt that it was overcooked and a little mush... The Thai Basil Fried Rice had all the right notes... It was laced with fresh basil and the crunchy veggies added an extra crunch to it... It went really well with the curry and the chillies brought a nice heat to the mix... The 2 mocktails were good... I was so excited to try their fried Bannana dessert alas sadly it wasn't available... We were already full with the scrumptious Lunch so we decided to not have the Dessert... With Covid and lockdown wiping out many businesses... I'm glad that some of them are still maintaining the place with the same taste and quality as before... This place leaves a bigger dent in your wallet but the food will leave you wanting for more... I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to try out Thai Food... They have an array of dishes to cater every one's needs... My Rating - 8/10.... A Must Try Thai Place in Chennai...

Delicious food, excellent service. It’s a cozy little place. Perfect for a family dinner or a date. They’ll serve you this platter that you can make your own leaf thingie with. 10/10 recommend adding everything. The food was divine! The chicken was tender, prawns so juicy, and the Thai curry was one of the best I’ve ever had. Also a really nice place to click pictures at. Nice decoration ngl.

Oh wow the food is excellent...... The ambience is so soulful...... Good place to relax and enjoy your meal . Everything is good except for this one dish that made my mouth to water and i couldn't stop eating it ,it's called Panda chicken ...... It is so moist and tender and it just melts in your mouth .A plate of that will make your tummy full .

Thai food in Chennai Good Thai food , but costly. Tried phad Thai , didn’t come good or at leeway when I compare with what I got in true Thai restaurants. Portion size is small given the price of the dishes. Their cloud kitchen called Phuket street is good and but you can order it through only Swiggy/zomato

Good ambience. Regarding the food, some items were good but others were disappointing. The tofu starter n the green Thai curry were a disaster. Phad Thai was ok but not as authentic as what you get in Thailand. The soup and the on the house starter were good.

Good food and good ambience, can go if you want to taste thai food in chennai. One thing I like the most is that in their food they use ginger in almost all the foods they serve (veg) that helps in good digestion. Good hospitality and well maintained.

Its a pleasant place. Situated on a nice scenic road with trees on both the sides. We went for dinner here to celebrate a birthday. The appetiser platter offered was really nice to clear the palatte. It comprises of ginger, chilli, dry coconut, lemon, jaggery chutney and beetle leaves. The wild orchid is a nice drink more on the sweeter side. For a refreshing drink order a lychee mojito. The tom kha pak soup is nice to try. A mild coconut gravy. Must try. The woonsen phak soup is clear soup, it's ok to taste. The khao pad namrik is a good starter. Hed yang is OK. Tohu har baithey is good. The Thai green curry is a must try. The desserts are good. The sticky rice is yummy. Do try the fried ice cream. They gave us a complimentary choc mousse to celebrate the occasion. The service is good. A nice quiet place for a family gathering or a chat with friends. If booked through zomato, there is a discount of 20%.

My husband and I love thai cuisine and keep exploring new thai places around the city. This place is located in a nice area with a good review on google, hence we decided to try it. All the dishes on the menu were highly prices. We ordered a tofu based stater, thai green curry and jasmine rice. The tofu was well cooked, but lacked any unique flavor. The thai curry was decent with a good portion size. However for the price(~1.8k for two) that we paid, the food was very average.

Amazing Thai food at Benjarong! My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by the delicious appetisers. The food was amazing and the crew provided attentive service. I’ll definitely recommend this place to anyone who’s craving for Thai food. Some dishes that I think are worth a try are pandan chicken (non-veg) and egg salad (veg, I believe). They have vegetarian options but my meal was mainly non-veg. A pity that we didn’t get the service crew’s name. Thank you for being such great hosts! By the way, do not take my bill as a reference because my husband and I ordered enough food for 4 pax - we’ve always had a problem with portioning…

Benjarong - Best place in chennai to have authentic thai food. There are only few places which you can trust to have great thai cuisine. This is the best !! Starting from tom yum soup to pad thai and finishing with fried icecream. The food quality was top notch. I would recommended this as must try place in chennai. The dishes are quite expensive but worth the penny.

This is the furst time ever I had the chance to try out thai cuisine and I'm happy that I did try it here. They are serving authentic Thai cuisine for nearly 20 years. Firstly, ambience was an important part to mention as it really gave that authentic feel to the food. Secondly, the food was really good and was upto the mark. From the welcome platter, to the starters and rice dishes, everything was top notch. Their portions of food was also pretty decent and filling. Nothing to complain except the fact that felt it was little pricy.

Nice Thai restaurant in Chennai, with a big menu of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. The dishes are made to suit the local palate, especially the yellow curry which was very turmeric heavy. Service was friendly but there were only three staff serving the whole restaurant, which meant that they were working extremely hard to serve all the tables, and only came by from time to time.

I went here for the first time. We ordered Laab Gai - Minced chicken salad. The salad wasn't my personal favorite. Thai green curry and Jasmine Rice. This was very easy to eat. For dessert we ordered Tub tim Grob which is water chestnuts in Coconut water. I was a bit disappointed with this, as they have added tosr essence to yet and i couldn't really taste tge coconut milk in it. i would rate a 7/10 overall.

We recently dined at Benjarong Thai restaurant, and I must say the food was authentic and had good taste. The Chicken in Pandhan leaves was good, although I remember it being even better on a previous visit. Overall, it was a decent and yummy meal that satisfied our Thai food cravings."
