We celebrated my daughter's first b'day in AB's Adyar. Luckily because of Pongal, my birthday guests were the only ones at the dine. Excellent food.. I don't have any cons to say. From the moment we went in and came out, it turned out to be a memorable event. All my guests particularly appreciated the food and they enjoyed well. Worth for a 5 star rating. Very good hospitality and service too.

This outlet is around two months old now. Like other outlets staffs are polite, courteous and definitely helpful. Dishes are tasty as usual. But few things are disappointing like welcome drinks were not there in dinner but dinner buffet is more expensive, dessert menu is quite extensive but taste was average only, the concept of 'dish of the day' is missing. On the other hand introduction of momos, roasted duck and roasted turkey, customised serving of food even starters as per the request of customers are elements of praise. Overall verdict is satisfactory.

Good service.. good for barbecue dishes.. The ambience is also good.. Prakash served well .. energetic .. suggested dishes in line with our taste .. Siva also good.. vallet parking... I went to this place today. The place is big spacious and medium-sized comparing to other AB's. Seating arrangements are excellent and infrastructure is amazing. High quality food, the way it was offered was pleasing. Neatly dressed and smily reception. Kitchen and dining areas are so clean. Separate Restroom available inside for both male and female, we'll maintained. Servers are asking about the feed back of the food then and there even the Master chef itself came and got the feed back and requested us to give changes as per our taste, which made us so happy. Totally we enjoyed this time in Adyar AB's. This restaurant is situated half KM from Adyar depot towards Thiruvanmiyur. Its there in the second floor, lift available. Small parking space available inside.

We visited Absolute Barbeque in Adyar for a Sunday lunch. Amman Mess restaurant was extremely crowded, with a waiting queue of 2 hours. We decided to try Absolute Barbeque instead, where we were able to secure a table within 20 minutes of waiting. The desk manager was helpful in accommodating our group of 5 initially in a small space, but later he arranged another table upon our request. Biriyani was average. However, the service at the restaurant was poor due to the rush and limited resources. The staff seemed overwhelmed and struggled to manage the large crowd, especially during a busy Sunday lunch. Some customers were not patient, which added to the chaos. We sampled a few starters and had a small portion of the main course. We shared our genuine concerns about the long waiting time and the quality of the food. In response, the manager offered a discount on the welcome drinks. It seems that offering discounts or replacing unsatisfactory items is a common approach among restaurants when faced with feedback. I believe it is important for the management to take customer feedback seriously and make efforts to improve. The issues with service and crowd management need to be addressed to ensure a better dining experience for customers. If you had a similar experience at Absolute Barbeque in Adyar, please give this review a like. By doing so, we can draw the attention of the management and highlight the need for improvements in areas such as service and crowd management.

The look and feel of the restaurant was pathatic.. the quality of the food and ambience was terrible. There was a hair in the food.. Jiten the waiter was very caring and did a good job.. rest other were horrible.. please avoid going to ABS Barbeque., Adyar. Waste of money... We wasted RS 3800.00..

We have pre-book table through Dine out app ...falw less booking.... But we here we don't have welcome 🍷 drink..but BBQ was good and services was slow and poor... Each and every thing we asked After that only served us we felt we selected wrong place..... Some of the dish was good... Live counter is waste.. For its not money worth comparing to other BBQ

Where do I even begin? It's a Saturday for crying out loud. I remember AB as a vfm kinda place and I've been here before and I've been to the T nagar branch a few times as well but this has to be my worst visit. Bad service and the food choices were not good. If not for the desserts, I would've given a one star rating. The food was a big letdown!

The waiting time at each counter is high. Requested starter items not given immediately. Valet parking experience is worst. Need to improve a lot.

Delivers on the nostalgia! Went on a weekday with relatively less crowd. The staff were courteous and attentive, place was very clean, and the food was great.

Only grill, main course and dessert available...no other starters... Live kitchen less options are there and not tasty..main course is not hot and not at all tasty

Good Ambience, starters are good, gravy and roti are fine, desserts are yummy. Briyani is not upto the expectation.

Nice place to visit with friends and family. Very good customer care and service was prompt. All dishes tasted well and refilled quickly without hesitation. Managers asked for service enhancement suggestions and surprised us with a small cake as it was our first visit to the outlet. Weekends might be crowded and service might be slower, so it's better to go on weekdays if you wish to avoid crowd and for faster refill to your plates.

We went as a party of 9, and it was a pretty bad experience overall to be completely honest. Even though we had a reservation, we had to wait more than 20 minutes before we were seated. We waited an absurd amount of time to be brought napkins, glasses, the grill, and the sort. It took me asking 4 times and a different person of our party asking twice before we got the sauce that was supposed to be on our table from the start. The grill itself was only filled with about a quarter of the coal it was supposed to have, and whatever measly amount was there was so cold that it made more sense for us to eat whatever dishes they brought to us immediately instead of letting it "heat up" on the grill for fear of it just becoming colder instead. We reported this to the staff, but they insisted it was because of the air conditioning. Our sole consolation through this experience was that the food itself was pretty good! The starters they brought to our table were tasty, and the buffet was nice as well. We had also ordered 8 "Blue Angel" mocktails, and after waiting for 20 minutes, we got 6 Virgin Mojitos 🤔. We told them about this, and after a brief discussion about what we had indeed ordered, they brought us 4 more Blue Angels and proclaimed that all the drinks would be on the house. We did appreciate this sentiment. We understand that the lunch rush is a difficult time, but the overall experience we had was suboptimal, to say the least, and absolutely undeserving of the 7K+ price tag. Again, thankfully, the drinks were on the house, which was at least something. Saheb, our server, tried his best to keep up with our requests, and we appreciate the effort provided to ensure that we had a good time. It's sad that all this effort was for nothing, as we won't be visiting again.

Visited Jan 26, 2021. Overall service was good. Food variety is very limited for the price they charge. Starters taste needs to be improved. Limited variety for huge cost. Better to pick Barbeque Nation or any other. Booked for a Tuesday normal cost but they billed higher rate saying it's republic day and special price. To the surprise no special menus not even any welcome drink. Finally they checked call recording of the booking and discounted to regular price. Starters - Prawn was very average on that day. Chicken is good. Mutton and fish are ok. Main course - Limited items but good.

Special thanks to Faizul, Rahul and Abhishek for making our dinner wonderful and memorable.. seriously had lot of food.. they give so much attention to each and every thing how so small it may be.. best place to dine in and one of its kind in Chennai.. Atmosphere is great and as usual food taste is not excellent but good to go. Celebration like birthday, anniversary would be fantastic at this place. Outside cakes allowed, also they provide small cake to celebrate the occasion if we requested. All many items were available at time. Lamp placed in good way of shady mood. Neat and clean, hospitality is excellent. Not a first time review, I will repeat to go if I'm into a group of people. Right place.

Loved the service, all the people looked after the customers really well. The bbq part was good but the main course wasn't that good. The biriyani was very bad in taste. Loved the desserts. I'm looking forward to visiting another time but I hope the main course gets better soon.

Wonderful spread of food.. varieties of starters, barbecued at the table , and wide options to chose from at the buffet. Amply dessert choices too, thou I found them a tad bit disappointing for my liking. But I must say loved the "Paan Ice cream" it was refreshing. The staff were very helpful, accommodating to our needs and service with a smile always. That's why I shall visit it again.. value for money.. Just be prepared to eat and losen the belt... 😀😀😀 .

I went with my family on last Sunday. Limited menu on buffet .We take only seafood and mutton. But there was not a single mutton item on serve. After finishing our lunch and when we enquired the server, he informed that it served only on demand. Not a good service. I went around three times for any mutton items but ultimately the blame came on us that we didn’t ask. For seafoods on barbecue, after the second service no one even came to ask whether we need more. They came back only to remove the grill when we started with the main dish.For boiled eggs, when I went and asked they kept a piece of quarter of egg. And when I asked more they kept one more quarter of piece and started to look at my face with an expression that do you still need more? After all there were only four quarter pieces. At least these small items they could have kept on buffet itself.

A pathetic experience.We reserved for 2.30pm slot in Adyar branch for 6 pax. They made us wait in the table till 3pm without serving any starters. We had to ask them multiple times for any starters other than chicken and fish. Some starters are not even served at all. By 3.15pm they served us chicken and fish barbeque but chicken was half cooked (pics attached). When we reached out to them, we were told that barbeque machine was not working properly, we didn't get served what was mentioned for Rs. 899 each for 6 members. We were disappointed and lost our hunger and temper to eat other barbeques. We were offered for Virgin mojito for each to compensate half cooked chicken even though we denied it but that was like the local salt soda, pathetic😂 we kept it aside with one sip. And another tragedy is desert corner, nothing was there in the counter, they kept the toppings, plates and bowls in a very unhygienic manner. Totally it was a disappointed lunch for what we paid. Not recommended to visit.

I have been to AB many times to other branches in Chennai and always have been favourite. But over the period felt that they are regularly updating their menu and service in Adyar branch is pathetic.

The food taste needs to be improved a lot . It used to be good but nowadays has gone down drastically. They only care about coming and asking to give 5 star ratings. Instead if they improve the food taste they will get 5 stars rated by the customer.

We a group of 8 went there to celebrate a birthday party. Service was very nice. There was no welcome drink on Sunday. We started with a soup/rasam and starters served in the grill box placed in the table. We had a great variety of veg options and everything was good. Finally they offered a complimentary cake with birthday wishes and played a birthday song. All went well.

I had really a very bad experience . No varieties in vegetarian, waste of money. Taste was not up to the mark in both vegetarian and non veg. Rice was not cooked well. Place were crowded and it was very congested. I never ever recommend to others.

After the COVID we have visited here. Ambience was good, clean and neat. But there is no varities of menu, they had only chicken wings and mutton kabab the same thing available in live counter as well. Earlier they used to have different varieties in live counter. Fire beda was not there

We had gone to abs on Christmas, and surprisingly it was not crowded and the servers gave special attention to customers by bringing whatever starters we asked for as quickly as possible. Food was same as usual , the classic Abs quality. And it wasn't crowded, so it was much peaceful than normal Abs days when its too noisy. Best dishes: honey glazed chicken, American aloo, honey chicken tikka(don't rem name)

Barbeques are fresh & tasty also the main course and deserts are really awesome. Requesting management to maintain the same taste and quality in PORUR branch as well. As I had a very bad experience in taste and quality of the food few months back.

Of the AB’s branches visited I found the service here poor… Everything had to be requested twice… Service personal were interested to close the tables rather than provide a good service… Food was a bit undercooked and I requested for a change of plate…

Horrible service. They won't let you go unless you give 10/10 rating to their food. U ask for spicy starters; they'll just add more masala to chicken which won't get cooked in barbeque. Masks are for chin and they come pretty close to you to take orders that you may think that they are about to kiss.
