We were apprehensive after reading recent reviews, but this place was actually pretty good! We arrived around 11:30 am, and we were the only table for teppanyaki. We were joined by two other people, and enjoyed a great show, including some tricks I’ve not seen at other places. The food was great, the service attentive, and entertaining to eat. The fried rice was better than other places I’ve been. They add sesame seeds for something different. I’d definitely go back.

Have been going here for years now and never any complaints until tonight. Orderd to-go had a couple chicken dinners, didn't receive soups no salads nothing. Hardly any vegetables, meat size seemed a lot less than usual. Very disappointed. Just to find out later on that when you scroll down to the bottom of their very long menu a little * fine print mentioning no soups or salads on to-go orders "due to highly increased costs".. but yet you charge full price still for these items? When a couple months ago we orderd and had all those items still included? Maybe when people order make a mention of such? $50 order and half the food we used to get. Definitely won't be doing to-go there anymore.

The charming chef saved our dinner. I wanted to give 2 stars for slow service (people next to us just left as they were tired of waiting for drinks (not talking about food). If I had been hungry when I entered, I would have left, too. My spicy salmon roll was awful! Two pieces of cucumber and one piece of salmon. So was it a cucumber roll or a salmon one? Very disappointed! The chef was funny and definitely saved the dinner by making different tricks with food.

Sadly I do not recommend this restaurant anymore, used to be a favorite because the food has always been so good. First off it is so dirty in there , it made me not want to eat. You stick to the floor when you walk and the table tops at the grill had a great film to them. Service was awful, after she brought our drinks and took the order she came back one time to check on us. We ran out of water and she brought my steamed rice after our meal was already done and over. The show, well we didn’t get one. The guy came, cooked our food and left. No fire no interaction, and we had kiddos with us who were looking forward to that. The hibachi food was gross, no flavor at all to the steak, veggies or rice. Very bland - the baked lobster roll we ordered was good :) And price was outrageous for what we got, we do not mind at all spending money going out, especially when it’s good food! But we ordered, one beer, one hibachi meal to share and one roll and spent over 90 before tip. Not sure what happen to the restaurant but we won’t be going back.

Food is good. Got there 30 minutes before closing for a quick lunch. Wasn't turned away but wish we had been. Service was slow and grumpy but obvious they wanted us to hurry up and leave. Had a $75 gift card that they refused because it was 2 years old. It was old because I live in Hayden and that location refused to accept a gift card from post falls. Pretty sure they are the same owners and staff. Sorry my friends gave it to me for Christmas 2019 before everyone shut down. Won't be back regardless of the quality of the food. Would like my $75.

Staff was friendly and personable. Service was quick and efficient. Sushi was fresh and good, not the best I’ve ever had, but better then most I’ve had in Washington or Idaho. It was a nice sized restaurant and we felt comfortable there. Had miso soup, a Spider Roll, Volcano Roll and a Salmon with Cream Cheese Roll.

WHY DOES THIS PLACE HAVE 4.5 RATING!!! I wish I looked further into the reviews before eating here because there were others that felt the same . Me and my fiancé are from Olympia Washington so we were heavily relying on reviews for everywhere we have been going on our vacation. Outside of this restaurant looked very nice. Walking in, everything was wide open and very plain . Floors were gross , tables were gross , walls were gross , the “bar” looked like a run down deli . The bathrooms were disgusting. I honestly wanted to leave at the sight of this place and I wish I trusted my instincts but we decided to stay due to the reviews . The chef was friendly . However , I noticed immediately his tray he walked out with was filthy . All the containers for sauce were dripping , the butter bowl was used with food drippings all over it like it had been used all night . All his sauce bottles were filthy . The rice had so much soy sauce added then to top it off he added their secret sauce . Also the eggs added to the rice still had shells !! The vegetables were way too salty and over cooked . The shrimp weren’t deveined . We both ordered filet mignon , the chef put it on the grill and immediately cut the steaks into uneven pieces . We have been to many Japanese steakhouses and always order filet mignon, it’s such a tender , beautiful piece of meat . Usually they let it cook a bit before slicing . We like the meat to be medium rare . However due to the uneven pieces , the larger pieces were RARE and tasted alive still . Mignon I can usually eat pretty rare and it’s delicious. I was super let down with this whole meal. My fiancé also ordered yakisoba which was also dripping in their damn secret sauce which is quite disgusting. Overall everything was so salty and not good . The waitress was definitely on drugs . Her mouth wouldn’t stop moving and never came to see if we wanted anything else after our initial order . We won’t be back .

Understaffed, slow, and food not worth the long wait. Management needs to do right by their staff and customers and hire more help or scale back the number of people seated at a time to foster a better experience for everyone there. I hate leaving bad tips, on the contrary I love to lavish with generous tips -when the service merits it, but being generous here would've been unfair to the excellent service I've received elsewhere. I had to go back in to grab something I'd forgotten and walking past them I overheard them grumbling about "being stiffed" by me. On my way back out the hostess wished me a good day in an obviously sarcastic tone... Having worked in food service before my coworkers and I had the self awareness to know when, despite our best efforts while busy, we had deprived our customers of a dining experience deserving of a good tip -or any at all- and we were still cordial from beginning to end, offering compensation however we could to keep them open to coming back. The entitlement mindset here to a good tip for an objectively bad experience only eased my conscience that I tipped the right amount, thanks for that.

Has changed over the last year. Prices up across the menu, soup or salad not both, and portions cut by 25% (rice and vegetables). Great service, management (Isaiah), and chef.

The worst customer service. Was told it was only a 30 minute wait. We waited 2 HOURS (came from out of town) after watching person after person walk in and being seated, served, eating, and leaving before we were even seated. Had to keep asking when we would be seated and kept being told “soon”. After finally being seated we waited another 20 minutes to get drinks served. The head chef was great, had the customer service manager offered any kind of compensation for the inconvenience we might have given this place a second chance. Will not be returning!

Visibly understaffed. They didn’t start cooking the food until over an hour after we got there, and we knew what we wanted and were ready to order within 5 minutes. If the one waitress wasn’t so overworked I might have not tipped.

I don’t know why this place has so many stars. One star is only for waitress. She was very sweet. Staff prepared food without gloves and masks. The food quality is bad. Look at those avocado slices 🤦🏻‍♀️ Beef teriyaki was very salty. Won’t be back.

While this is not my favorite Japanese hibachi grill in the area it is the most cost effective so if We are wanting to go out and enjoy ourselves on a bit of the cheaper side we go here. Its also perfect for those who love sushi but have a group member who does not. Both sushi and hibachi served, you can sit at a grill or in the sushi area and order from either menu. Its all pretty good however portion sizes of the hibachi is lack luster compared to others. Overall still a fun and unique place to go if you're okay with a lower end vibe.

Fu-Ki is a Teppanyaki grill and sushi restaurant. Don't listen to the front desk people who are calling it a Hibachi grill. If they left Post Falls, they'd know better. The service is pretty standard as was the Teppanyaki Chef's show. If you've been to Benihana then you've been spoiled as their Chef's are typically really entertaining. With that said Fu-Ki is still worth a visit. The menu selection is decent and the food was good. The staff are nice albeit mislead as to what their grills are.

Okay so the food if you sit at the grill is uh-mazi g if you sit at the sushi bar and order sushi you get room temperature sushi.......gross. it would be so good if it was just cold.....also the prices for sushi rolls are from $1-$3 to high. The sushi across the street at yoakes is $14 for two entire rolls both different and fresh and amazing. If you go with a partner and one order sushi and 1 orders from the grill your meals will not come out at the same time like not even close but 45 minutes apart. Kinda embarrassing for the couple deciding to eat or wait. One time only some of his plate came and his rice came 20 minutes later...... I guess from now on we're both just going to sit at the grill for the more consistent dining experience.

The service was great and the food was wonderful again. So far they have never let us down.

The cook was amazing and the food delicious. We had a reservation but still had to wait almost an hour. They were not very busy and the waitress was not very attentive. We had to ask for our drinks a few times. Then we were charged an automatic gratuity because there were 8 of us. Very disappointing!!

If you don’t like plastic on your sushi or paying 10% surcharge on spending $100 or more on carryout this is not the place for you!!!! We will definitely support a different a different local sushi restaurant.

As a fan of Teppanyaki I’m glad there is a quality restaurant in the area, I came on a Monday (football) evening so the restaurant was empty. Food is great with perfectly done veg and fried rice. I got Ny Strip and Shrimp combination. Service is excellent. As shown w coke & fried rice $38.16

Check your bill! This is my biggest complaint from our visit. Added a tip on their behalf. I think I was so shocked at the bill total and the fact it took them over a hour to even start cooking for us I didn’t check it throughly and tipped on top of their included tip. Service was mediocre. Food was definitely not worth the price. Restaurant itself was disgusting. The floor was so slippery-greasy. Poor ventilation the waitress finally told us she would open the door. Won’t be back.

Some pretty bomb sushi! I've always done to-go orders here because it's normally for the office. It's really good! Never had a problem with service or anything. When I come to pick it up, they verify everything in front of you that you called in. Love this sushi place!

👍👍 Being from Texas I’m always looking for a good conversation and service. The Old European delivers on all fronts. I couldn’t really decide on what I wanted to start with first with the fresh squeezed OJ or the French press Brew. Lol I would have shared a photo of the food but I literally devoured it...
