Absolutely terrible hotel. Cold. No internet. Rude receptionist. Got a room I never wanted and was told i should be glad: strange german hospitality telling people what is good for them as we know from german history: what they say is good for others is actually only good for this nazistic country. Very arrogant behavior ohne Ende how they like to say. Not ihg standart at all. Avoid.

Pros: Good location and diverse fresh breakfast. Cons: In the room the carpet was dirty and there're sticky smudges all over the table, and hairs on the bed. Also, the check-in receptioist was very unfriendly!

Worst hotel experience I ever had. I got here 10.30 in the evening to hear that the hotel is overbooked and i cannot get into my booked room. We had to wait for the nightshift so the guy at the reception could start cleaning rooms for about 10 people. After half an hour me and another woman got our rooms. The others were told they had to wait another half our. There were hairs of different length on the bed and the pillows. The shower didn’t seem to be cleaned at all. The room had easily 25 degrees even though the heating seemed to be off. Just the experience you need after a 7 hours travel when you have to get up early the next day for work. Don’t go hear!

I stayed here for 39 nights and I was very comfortable throughout. All the staff were friendly and made this hotel a home for me. The cleanliness was above average and way better than all the places I have ever stayed in within Potsdam across four different visits. I really enjoyed the breakfast, which is already included into the room fee. Free breakfast as they put it. Lots of options to eat and all fresh and delicious 😋 The location is superb. Not on the main street and therefore not very busy, but perfectly located between the main square and streets of Potsdam as well as the Haupbahnhof (main train station). Rooms: thankfully, I was upgraded to a suite! The rooms are small but comfortable. The problem is the lack of closet space. Being in a suite, I had enough floor space to open up the suitcases, but I had nowhere to pack the clothes. So, I was living out of the suitcase. In the express room it would have been very uncomfortable. I enjoyed my stay. The only thing I didn't like was that a few days before my departure there was a fire alarm at 3am. We all had to wake up and evacuate the hotel. I was impressed by the fire department arriving within 5 minutes of the alarm going off. But I was not impressed by the fact that the hotel did not give the guests any feedback about the incident. Literally no communication. 👎🏾

Room was comfy, clean and kinda homey, a little bigger than expected. Breakfast selection is ok though no variation during my week's stay. Hotel is easily accessible and location is very ideal. They may need to beef up staff though during high occupancy to manage the desk and other services like luggage room.

Great location and good price for the room. The hotel is decorated with good taste. Importantly, clean rooms. You can see that someone is managing well, and the staff is committed and performs their tasks well. Good breakfasts. Fixed menu, but extensive - I sightseed full :) Parking can be a problem. There is a small hotel one and there is a paid one on the street (to staff: the hotel could rent a few places from the city). Generally a nice place for a few days visiting Potsdam and Berlin.

Friendly, helpful staff, comfortable rooms with iron, hairdryer, tea/coffee facilities, TV and WiFi. Excellent breakfast, many healthy options and a bar downstairs. It is also within walking distance of public transport to central Berlin. Very comfortable stay there.

Two week stay for work. The fan/air conditioner didn't work and someone from reception came to inspect it and just said "nothing we can do, its not working". So i bought a small desk fan which helps me sleep. I'll be coming back to Potsdam for work and wont be staying here.

Great and inexpensive hotel, very clean and central in Potsdam, with walking distance to Potsdam Train station for easy connection to Berlin. The staff is very friendly and informative. Breakfast buffet has a decent selection. Rooms get cleaned every day.

We stayed one night here. The hotel was nice, staff were kindly and it is located in the center, therefore it was easy to access all sightseeing places from there. It was a bit expensive and the room was a bit cold. We stayed there in April, and felt a bit cold in the room. Except that, all was good.

Pretty good hotel at a reasonable price. Good location, clean, comfortable room, helpfull staff. We have spent a wonderful evening at the hotel bar with a perfect service and company of Haithem. Haithem serves fantastic drinks and stories. He is the real soul of this place. :)
