Nice place inside and good location but people who work there are really rude. I was ask 4 times to bring me children chair and 3 different people have told me that they have just 2 of them and that they are already given. So after meal I was at toilet on the second floor where I have seen 6 children chairs one on top of other. Wiener stake is so poor and not so tasty. 3 wieners with pommes and drinks for 80 euros. Really expensive place with disgusting workers and definitely not kids friendly. Shame

Very slow service. We just waited 20mins for one normal beer and a bottle water. More 40mins for a salad! Waiter asked for tip... ABSOLUTELY SLOW! DON‘T GO HERE IF YOU DON‘T WANT TO WAIT YOUR WHOLE LIFE FOR YOUR ORDER!

Very unpleasant treatment. They weren't fully booked but said they were. Also to the people in front of us. I think the reason is that we didn't speak German.

Order using the QR was only processed once we mentioned it to a member of staff, which contradicts the claim on the poster promising “no wait times”. Weird ordering process is confusing. Staff is nice and helpful.

Sorry but the service is minus 0! All the coffee that we ordered came COLD! (They forgot to heat the milk) Cakes are expensive. Find somewhere else to spend your money in.

Great cake and sandwich , surprisingly good coffee but the best thing was the hospitality and service!

Excellent german restaurant. Our party had the cheese spaetzle and weiner schnitzel and both were excellent. The coffee was very good too. Our waitress was very nice and helpful. Very attentive. Would definitely recommend. Also we like the name :)

Definitely I will come back, food is absolutely great for me being a tourist it was a great experience, best place to feel the German traditional food and atmosphere, the waiters are really cool and they speak various languages, fast and on point, keep up the good work.

Came to the terrace under heavy rain, with friends and a dog. Wanted to have some coffee and desserts, had to go ourselves to get menu from waiters. 10 mins after sitting in cold a waiter shouted from inside that we had to go inside to be served. Poor service. We didn’t stay.

The dessert called "Kaiserschmarren" was burnt (not crispy, really black-burnt!). The Espresso was served without any sugar or little cookie. It is really not a great place. If you want to enjoy a little bit of afternoon coffeetime, rather go to a coffeeshop chain like Espresso house, Starbucks or Coffee Fellows. The price is quite the same, but quality is more reliable there.

The service started as really good. The prices are little high but the portions are good. We had ordered for soup, garlic bread and Caesar salad. The soup and garlic bread were good. The salad has the description stating it will have roasted nuts, Caesar dressing and Parmesan cheese. But it had nothing of that sort. Only dry vegetable. We tried to tell the person who took our order but he was busy. The other staff meanwhile attended us and we explained that the salad is too dry to eat like that, and it has nothing from the description apart from vegetables. He came back with just the dressing even after bringing to notice that the dish was not what we had asked for. Not fair! Try the local beer, one of the good beers I have tasted.

Lunch stop for our Potsdam Tour. Very friendly staff and great food. Pork sausage paired with local dark draft beer were excellent!

If you like traditional Coffeehouses with a nice Ambiente, you have to visit one of the 3 tradional Coffeehouses in Potsdam. Das Wiener is the biggest one with a great kitchen, attentive personal. Everytime worth it for a visit and enjoy great cakes, german food and drinks!👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼

The service may take a while but the wait is well worth it. We had an assortment of dishes, my personal favourites were a schnitzelburger and a chocolate cake. Wauter was busy, but really friendly. The music and ambience were a nice touch.

Expensive and over price! We ordered schnitzel, it was very oily.

Very good ice cream menu with a great view of the square and gate

Had the best Wiener Schnitzel of my life. Be sure to order the large portion, not the Senior portion as I did. That way you won't develop Schnitzel regret as I did after the last bite of my small portion. The beers and service was great. The atmosphere was very cozy and our table had a great view of the Brandenburger Tor.
