Potsdam is a must see if you go to Berlin, it’s only 25/35 min from the city. This is the OG Brandenburg gate and it might smaller than the one in Berlin but it’s definitely as beautiful as the other one. It’s in the middle of the city and very close to the nice park were there’s tons of castles from the prussian kings

The Brandenburg Gate is located on Pariser Platz in the centre of Berlin, which is one of the most beautiful squares in the city. The Hotel Adlon Kempinski, the University of the Arts and the US Embassy and other embassies are also very close to the gate. It is very famous as it has a historical background in world history. Many people are visiting Brandenburg Gate and this beautiful square every day.

Potsdam is a beautiful city with lots of interesting architecture all around. You can walk through the Brandenburg Gate, eat or drink coffee near it. ☕️

One can say there is nothing special about this gate. Even after Berlin's gate with the same name, it may look tiny. Which both comments are true but also, secret beauty is hidden in the plain sight. Take a look at the gate from one side. Then go to the other side and take another look. Do you see something different? Something unique? 😉

It's quite busy please and little bit noisy please but it's look like copy of Brandenburg gate

It is situated at a central place, the street through the gate is so beautiful but the gate in itself is just okay to visit. It doesn't have the same grand view when compared to the Brandenburg gate in Berlin

During my recent visit to Potsdam, I had the opportunity to see the famous Brandenburg Gate, which is a stunning example of German architecture and history. The gate is located in the center of the city and is a must-see attraction for any tourist. I spent a couple of hours exploring the area around the gate, and it was a truly memorable experience. The gate itself is a towering monument that is both imposing and elegant at the same time. It's hard not to feel a sense of awe when standing in front of such an iconic symbol of German culture. After exploring the gate, I decided to stop for lunch at one of the nearby cafes. The area around the gate is filled with restaurants and cafes, so it was easy to find a place to eat. I ordered a traditional German dish and was not disappointed. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and inviting. It was the perfect way to recharge after a morning of exploring. Overall, I would highly recommend visiting the Brandenburg Gate if you're in Potsdam. It's a stunning example of German architecture and history, and the surrounding area is filled with great restaurants and cafes where you can enjoy a delicious meal.

For sure the most iconic landmark in Berlin (IMO) very over populated during the day time but worth the journey at night time to see it lit up in all its glory

Postdam is the perfect place to stay when you want to escape from the hutsle and bustle of Berlin. Brandeburger Tor is quiet an historical spot, we came here with a large family, an African festival was on we had quiet a good time. The dance was good and the music on point.

Visited Potsdam whilst staying in Berlin. It's the perfect place to escape the madness of Berlin and enjoy a quieter pace of life. . Brandenburg gate Potsdam is the showcase structure within the main square. It's really beautiful and towers the cafes and restaurants that lay around the square. . Combine your visit with a walk up to Sanssouci Place through the UNESCO gardens you won't be disappointed.

The view from across the road is stunning! You can either sit around the fountain and have coffee and take a stroll on the cobbled streets to window shop. Beautiful spot.

Different to the one in Berlin but also nice.

Missed out on the history part as we had the thunderstorm when our guide was telling about the place :) but loved the vibe of the place. Always something going on, looks more like a Times square of Berlin where always something is going on whether it is some protests or tourists taking pictures

Classic monument, the hallmark of Berlin! Our experience was unique because in the evening we enjoyed an event in honor of the special olympics, it was amazing!

People probably don’t realise there is this Brandenburg gate as well as the other famous one. This is in Potsdam and the place in general is very nice to visit. It’s all being rebuilt in the style of the past when it was destroyed. So it feels a little like a Disney set as so new. The gate itself is nice to look at but nothing to actually do with it.

Potsdam is a beautiful city . Lots of great shops and a fantastic museum for film and arts . Many Hollywood films were made here .Also German films from the 30s. Its well worth a visit also close by are the brilliant palaces of Fredrick 2nd the prussian king 1750s. As potsdam was in the east of Old Germany you'll see the Russian influence also .

Brandenburg gate was builded after Prussia beat France. They also put the statue with 4 horses. This statue was taken to Paris after Napoleon beat Prussia. Later, they got it back when the Napoleon was defeated at Waterloo. I visited Brandenburg Gate after fair and it was late. But you feel safe in Berlin even if it’s night. There were only tourist and all the stores were closed.

A small square with a bustling street right beside it. The gate is symbol of history but you can enjoy the variety of restaurants and visit small shops near the gate. The fountain infront of the gate is also good and you can sit and enjoy the cold breeze there.

Sit outside the Starbucks for the best view of the Gate, then get some bread and hold out your hand. See video for what happens next!!!!

Potsdam is calm and beautiful place around Berlin, and if you go there you should visit Brandenburg Tor. A huge open area. Down the street there are many local cafes and bakeries. All the way towards the end you will find yourself on another tourist places.

Since the city renovated this monument, it's a very nice representation of the culture here in Potsdam. Taking a photo down Brandenburger Straße towards the church at the end of the street, is always a highlight for tourists.

A historical landmark with beautiful architecture, the gate is in a great location. If you walk through the gate into the city road it feels really good and it creates a tourist vibe. Somehow I like the Brandenburg Gate in Potsdam more than the gate of Berlin!

An eye-catching monument in the middle of a cozy nice square. Per me, the colour is a bit weird

Lovely experience in Potsdam. Gate leads to.a nice square surrounded by cafe bars and the wine festival when we arrived. Who knew. Nice walks and some good history to view.
