Well, OK, very nice views, good brealfast but they should look a little after the rooms.

The rooms are at a low standard, certainly not sufficiently equipped and maintained regarding the rate. The air conditioning was not really working and was noisy. The staff at the reception was partially rude and unprofessional. The breakfast was poor and the waiting times high.

15.07.23, 1 room, ~15square meter, 185€. Dogs barking at 0:30, somebody left theirs dogs unattended and n the room. After that doors opened at and we heard many voices. 8:30 children jumping in the room above us- no need for an alarm. This room was expensive, small and bad designed. It’s great if you need a place for your dogs or look for a partyhotel. I’m happy to leave. 20€ for a breakfast seems also overpriced.

I've stayed in this hotel few times for work related activities in Potsdam. It's located in a convenient area; close to the train station, several restaurants within walking distance. Rooms are comfy and nicely cleaned. Above all, staff at the front desk have always been very helpful and polite.

This is a hotel from the time of East Berlin very tall building good location everything looks dated even that they’ve been renovated lucky for me the manager Mr. Phil Claus help me with my experience a four ⭐️ instead of two we had a junior suite which was nice the bed was OK I asked for it to be cleaned every day I don’t understand why they wouldn’t even have to ask you to do that I thought that’s part of the service you get in hotels I know during covid two ago not but now every other hotel I’ve been to throughout Germany never asked that question they just did it also I was not happy about after checking in you could use up the mini bar but once it’s completely used it would have to pay one time only including the water I pay the same price every day so what is that about the breakfast was good as good as any other place of the Mercure luckily the train station was close by cause taxis are almost nonexistent here there was about three or four restaurants within 500 m were adequate nothing outstanding you would have to walk at least 1015 minutes to get to the center of the city It were buses and street cars right across from the hotel and also the English language is very difficult here for people to communicate with me including in the hotel they did speak English but it was hard communicating I guess in time things will change really like the town of Potsdam it had charm and fabulous castles to see

Everything was great. I had a stress-free nice stay in Potsdam thanks to the hospitality of Mercure Potsdam City.

Modern hotel, friendly staff and clean rooms. Great prices for a hotel close to the city center.

Excellent value for money. The rooms were clean, warm and without noise. The personnel were very polite and helpful. It is a 5 minute walk from the train/metro station Potsdam Hauptbahnof, which makes it very practical.

The room was nice enough and tidy. I came in a bit late in the evening, hadn't had dinner and the hotel had literally no food to offer. I ended up eating two overpriced chocolate bars from the reception for dinner. On top of that the water pressure in the shower was low. It smelled like eggs when I got in. Had to run the shower to get the smell away. Wouldn't recommend staying here. There are better options.

Very small room with very small shower Expensive on site parking. The morning breakfast is excellent. Walking distance to old town.

Overall a pleasant hotel but I found the price-service relation is not justified (€169 for a night for two). Long waiting time at the reception since only one desk was open, no coffee / tea facilities or fridge in the room. Room is fairly small, and what was most annoying is the absence of proper bathroom door. I was staying with my brother and I could not shower when he used the toilet, for example, because the door is shared between the toilet and the shower. On the positive note, breakfast was very nice, fresh food and very delicious müsli are provided. The location is quite convenient not far away from the railway station and the city center. Staff was polite and helpful.

there were issues with booking online and we didn't recieve a confirmation email. We called the number on their page, and was reassured over the phone that there would be a room for us when we arrive at 23:30 in the evening. There wasn't. The receptionist confirmed the number we had called was the correct number, but denied there were any employees by the name of the guy we spoke to on the phone, and they would not be able to provide the promised room, or any room for that matter. I experienced the whole ordeal as very unprofessional and the receptionist didn't come across as interested in trying to sort out the situation where their employees had clearly had a lack of communication.

Decent hotel right by the train station/mall. Breakfast was fine. At the time (Dec 2021), the bar and restaurant was closed due to the pandemic. It's definitely walkable if you wanna walk into town or go sightseeing!

Rooms are small. Breakfast is great. Location is great. If your room is facing the river during springtime, you'll hear birds, critters and animals all night.

Very friendly and helpful employees. The room was a bit small for the price and didn't had a minibar/fridge. Due to lack of space you sometimes had to wait to get into the car parking. Great breakfast. It's just a shame that I wasn't able to dine in the Oscar restaurant on any of the 5 evenings because it was closed or reserved for groups.

Basic, safe, great breakfast. Hotel is a tall building, built in late 70s based on the plack at the lift. Mercure is easy to recognize in the skyline from a distance. Rooms are very typical big hotel rooms and quite small. AC in our room did not do cooling so it was very warm in the room due to a hot summer weather. No minibar, not even an empty one. Double bed was in fact twin beds laid side by side. We got iron to our room in few minutes after asking. Shower is big enough but the sink is in the corner, out from the restroom, next to the bed. Good service, traditional, no drama. Parking available at the premises (18€/night) and a very good breakfast (20€) with access to outdoor terrace. 10 minute easy walk to the evening restaurants and bars. Wonderful position, clean rooms. Good breakfast (not cheap, anyway). No commodities for families (spa, pool, playground, etc.): even if it's placed in a very good position for tourists, it seems mainly a business hotel. We booked 4 triple rooms for 2 families, asking (6 months in advance!) to stay close to each other, but we were hosted in 4 different stages of the building. Rooms were very little, looked like a double room for single use. With 3 people and relevant luggage inside... no space to step!

Very small but also very comfortable room. Clean and with interesting air conditioning built into the windowsill. Do not expect a large selection of breakfast, but not deprived too, there is something to choose(quite suitable for satisfying morning hunger, but also not over-eating). The room is quiet, the bed is comfortable. No toothpaste. The main positive element of the hotel is its location "around the corner" from the main tourist routes. And a very large parking place nearby. This hotel has parking.

It was okay. Got a standard room but it wasn't well cleaned: hair in bathroom, unvacuumed corners, and, more disturbingly, a small chip of broken glass in the toilet. On a Friday night the restaurant, which boasts hours from 5pm to 10pm, was closed and food could only be had at the bar. Breakfast buffet is nice but at 16 euros a person is a bit too expensive. A much nicer buffet is available at nearby ExtraBlatt for two thirds the price.

Location is perfect for a trip to Potsdam. Centre at walking distance. Breakfast a bit expensive compared to other hotels or real bakery's. Unfortunately not possible to get a coffee or cappuccino from a machine. As coffee addict I really missed that.

Location is very convenient. Was very difficult to park the car as it was overcrowded. Hotel requires renovation. Breakfast was OK, nothing extraordinary. Rooms are OK, clean, but a little bit old. Overall impressions are OK, but I expected a lot more.

It is a good hotel located at a good junction where you can easily jump off to any site. The staff speak good English and German, and the rooms are neat. My room was on a 8th floor so I had a good viewing point. Generally ok, but the restaurant was only open in the morning!
