It's an incredible place. Very classic and elegant hotel of the prosperous late 1990th. Incredibly spacious and cozy rooms with good equipment. Spa facility with pool and sauna. The food is fine but nothing special. Very few critical moments are fully substituted by local atmosphere and helpful staff. The price for stay, parking, etc is good. Location is not ideal but not bad. You may reach almost everything in just 20 min walking. Highly recommend visiting for free former KGB prison and headquarters less than mile away (soviet military base 7), Sanssouci (about 15 min walk). City center is about 15 min walking. Parking garage is €25 per night w spacious places but very tricky entrance/exit.

Big hotel in the Potsdam that serves for tourism and also business events. Everything is fine with the rooms and amenities. No direct public transport from the main train station, so you need to switch been different options or just take a cab. There is an underground parking lot

Stayed for a quick one nighter. Go there late left early. So can’t say much. Rooms were lovely, common area was large and also nice. Bar looked good also. Stayed with the dog. Not a problem and even got a chew stick. Although there was a charge for the dog staying.

I enjoyed staying there a lot! Nice equipped rooms, great breakfast, and fantastic spa facilities!

4 days conference. More than happy with the room (spacious and modern) service (friendly and helpful), breakfast (wow, what a choice) and the location.

To specify our experience: The pool has an extra charge, which we have never experienced before and there is not a restaurant, just a bar and the service in the bar was very slow.

The ground floor is well equipped with lots of stuff to do, MUST VISIT! 3. A sad hotel with an infrastructure of the 70's (only 3 possibilities to plug our iPhones, iPads, Macs to the electricity). Most unfriendly bar staff but helpful reception. The room has a TV screen of the size of my Mac, minibar is empty, no possibility to make coffee in the room. It rains in the reception area so there are red buckets to capture the rain. Breakfast costs 25 Euro per person. Overall NO thank you!

Stayed here 2 weeks ago with my boyfriend and his family, the hotel staff were great and we had a very comfortable stay so no complaints there. Great breakfast buffet too! Unfortunately, my stay was marred by some incredibly hostile and in some cases, hateful staring from many of the clientele, to the point of tears and having to leave the breakfast hall. I am a woman of colour so am used to this when I travel in Europe, as unpleasant as it can be. However, this was a lot more than I could handle and I found it very upsetting. If you look like the general population you will most likely have a fantastic stay but sadly, if you look any different, I’d want to perhaps warn you against it. Maybe it’s unavoidable in this area, who knows. Not sure if there was some sort of right wing gathering when we were there, but really never experienced anything like this before. If so, it would be good if the hotel denied people like this so we could all feel safe during our stay.

The variety on offer was staggering, catering to every palate imaginable. From continental delicacies to local delights, the breakfast spread was not only diverse but also of exceptional quality. The freshness of the ingredients and the skillful preparation by the chefs truly made the dining experience memorable. Additionally, the hotel boasts a splendid swimming pool and health club. After a day of sightseeing or business meetings, taking a refreshing dip in the pool was the perfect way to unwind. The pool area was well-maintained, providing a serene environment for relaxation. The health club, equipped with modern fitness facilities, allowed me to keep up with my workout routine even while traveling. Moreover, the staff at Dorint Hotel deserves special mention. Their attentiveness and willingness to assist made my stay even more enjoyable. Whether I had inquiries about local attractions or needed assistance with hotel amenities, the staff was always courteous and ready to help.

Stayed here for four days in July’23. It’s a conference hotel, so there may be conferences during your stay. There was then we stayed, it didn’t bother us. The spa and gym area was a much needed refreshment due to it being so hot outside. There are families in the hotel so expect kids in the spa from time to time. Breakfast is busy but above average with wide selection of items, staff preparing omelets on demand, good coffee machines making specialty coffee. Plenty of parking space for cars and bicycles below the hotel, but if your car is higher than 2m like ours, finding parking on the streets is tough.

Just a fine hotel in a walking distance to the center. Free parking around, no need to use the expensive garage (I would sort of expect it to be free). The dinner was not very enjoyable, the breakfast bufet was very rich and tastful. The hotel room equipment was not the newest but just fine. The rotating TV stand/bar is rather funny. The bathtub could use some drain cleaning as the water keeps leveling up while having a shower. I would also clean and renew the connection between the tub and the tiles. The personnel is very friendly and helpful.

This is not a nice hotell. The bathroom was grimy and dirty. The whole hotell has old carpet floors that smell like old dust and look dirty. If wetherspoons was a hotell this would be it. It might have been nice once, but you can't tell these days. Location is great, but there are nicer looking hotells in the area so give them a try

Nice hotel with great breakfast buffet. The only major downside is for those travelling with electric cars: only two very expensive charging places in otherwise huge garage.

Lovely in general but our room wasn’t cleaned once during our 4 night stay. Upon checking out we were told that this was due to a computer error. No apology and no financial reimbursement which was a rather unfortunate end to our trip. Would not recommend, not solution focused and no customer service when you actually need it... shame.

The hotel is located at a comfortable distance from the centre of Potsdam. The hotel itself is really clean and professional. When we arrived, they had made a mistake with the booking and despite the fact that the hotel was "fully booked", we got a room anyway (however, somewhat reluctantly). The room was beautiful and well-cleaned. Dinner and breakfast were well-arranged. Dinner had somewhat limited choices, with not much variation for vegetatians. With breakfast however, there were plenty of choices. All in all, pretty ok experience.

Good clean hotel. Plenty of the staff speak english. Breakfast was really good with a lot of options, including a full english, if continental is not what you are after. SPA and pool were very quiet in the morning. The Bar gets busy after 6PM, but serves some good local beers.

Good Hotel and just perfect for a conference! My double room was quite big and spacious. Everything was clean. Also the bathroom was spacious and the shower works fine. There was always hot water though the hotel was fully booked. The staff is very friendly and always helpful! Further the food was really good too. They also have a SPA area which I not used. Overall definitely a hotel to recommend and four "excellent" stars from my side!!

Four of us stayed here for a few days in August and were pleasantly surprised. This is a spacious, bright place with friendly staff. Though a little bit tired, the rooms were clean, quiet and VERY big. The air conditioning was also much appreciated. The restaurant is good for a hotel. The breakfast buffet was abundant, with plenty of seating, including outside. The location is good: 15 minutes’ pleasant walk to Park Sanssouci and 10-12 minutes to all the restaurants and cafes you could want. The Alexandrowka park is right across the street for a relaxed stroll. A few other notes: a small repair in a bathroom was dealt with within a few hours. At the time of our stay, the pool was under repair. The in-room tablets didn’t work for ordering room service. The rooms were being cleaned every other day due to COVID-related staffing issues, which we didn’t mind - we received a drinks voucher to mark up for it. If you want to eat at the restaurant, be sure to book a reservation.

clean. good beds. simple room design. nothing too exciting. great location if you visit potsdam with castle sanssouci and the historic markers. they only have one charging station which charges two e-cars at the same time. and you need to have a RFID card from the front desk. not really a great UX. to free up the station is at the grace of the individual e-car driver. i hope the hotel learns that more and more e-cars are on the road and they need boost their charge availability. simple power sockets for the parking spots suffice as people stay over night and have plenty of time to slow charge. no re-parking needed.
